Carl J

Me and my girlfriend went to this hotel for two weeks from the 5th of may to the 19th of may, it was a nice hotel with a big pool and nice rooms, i wouldnt say it was ideal for a young couple, as there wasnt much entertainment going on in the evening compared to the other hotels, and watch out for the cleaners cause they throw your stuff about all over the place, and if you lock yourself out your room just before you go out for the evening, make sure you get back in straight away cause the reception will say its alright that the nightshift reception can give you a key but they cant.

Jodie

Hi sam. Thomas Cook can help you to book a flight and holiday with Tsilivi Beach hotel hope tht helps x

Ruth D

We were there for a week from 1st May this year with Thomas Cook Holidays. The weather was lovely, a bit like an English summer but chilly on a night. The Hotel & Studios were extremly well kept & clean & all the staff were friendly & helpful. The Restaurant was fantastic and Danny & the boys were the best ever. Highly recommended.

I stayed in Tsilvi beach studio apartments and want to go back wanting a price for
2 adults traveling on 26/06/05 for 2 weeks can you help

Linda N

We stayed at the Tsilivi Beach studios from 16-30th September and found them very comfortable and the staff more than friendly. We travelled to Tsilivi last year and loved it so much that we returned this year to get married with 35 friends and family. We find the island beautifiul and the locals so friendly. For people who moan about "kids running riot" then should they stay in a hotel suited for couples only and not families!!.Ideal location and would thoroughly recommedn it

Marie-christin P

I need to know the homepage-adress of mark, stuart, matt..... the best band on zakynthos .... I think the name of these band is "Bomba-Blue"

Damon T

We stayed here from the 26/09 to 03/10 and had a very enjoyable break. The rooms are not wonderful (think Travel Inn) and the bathrooms are little better, but as you spend little time in them they are adequate. There is no hot water in the evenings so expect cold showers! The outside/pool areas are very good and what makes the hotel a very good choice. There are two pools – one family pool that is very shallow at one end and good for kids and another pool for 'proper' swimming. Plenty of sun beds to go round. The attached supermarket is woefully overpriced in comparison with the others in the resort and they do get shirty if you purchase items from other shops – hide anything you bring in! Excellent location for the beach. Overall, we would recommend the hotel.

Jodie

This is my second stay at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel and i love it there! I recommend this place to anyone. I went with 12 family members this year and they are all returning again next year for a three week holiday! I wanna say thanx to jay, jullian ,leo and danny for making my holiday the best and i wanna say a big thanx to Peris ur the best and i love you loads! Cant wait to c u all next year! love jodie x x x xxx x x x x x x x xxx x x xxx

We stayed at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel on the 01/08-15/08,and had a fabulous holiday. First time in Greece, and found the people wonderful. The hotel itself was also great, staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and food was lovely. We have never bathed in such warm waters, the beach was wonderful. Overall the holiday was more than what we expected, we will definately return.

Chris K

The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the beach and in the middle of the resort. Pool was very good although the sun loungers could have been a bit more comfortable.
Found it quite noisy at night. Noise came from other guests, mainly kids running riot.
Towels could have been changed more often but other than that the cleanliness of the room was OK.
We were bed and breakfast and the food was much better than we expected.
Only ate at the Boat House once and although the food was OK we didn't really think the service was that great.
After reading the comments here about the shop we thought it would be really dear but the prices were OK(the staff were miserable though!).

Kevin A

Just got back home -- Great hotel with the best beach only yards away!!!
Really friendly and helpful reception staff........ clean rooms and linen changed daily......
thanks to all the staff, we had a fantastic 2 weeks.
We didnt like the Boat house bar but 25 yards away The Thorn Bar is great....... see Alan, not only does he give fast and friendly table service, he knows all the tourist attractions.....and they serve the BEST Tuna Salad that we could find!!!!!!!

Nicola B

I stayed between 29.07.04 & 13.08.04 and it was the best holiday I have had in years. Tsilivi beach was fab and so were the staff not only in the holtel but in the boathouse too. Any time of day they couldn't do enough to help. I will be back as soon as I can. If I can live there permanently I will.

Gemma W

We think this place is the best in Tsilivi. It is so clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was our first time there and we will definetly be going back. We have already recommended it to friends and family. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the fact that you have to get your shower early in the evening, because if you wait later than 6.30pm, you're guarnateed to get a cold one!Apart from the shower, we don't have a bad word to say about the place and can't wait to go back.
P.S. The beach bar does the best Moussaka in Tsilivi!

Christopher S

this was our third time at this hotel. we were pleased with the hospitality of the family & staff.
we hope to be going again in the near future. Chris & Elaine.

Julie E

please send me price list for 2005 direct.

Jaime R

Hotel consisted of 700 rooms, 3 large pools, integrated mini market and 25 metres from the Beach in a prominent position within Tsilivi.

Rooms are of a good size, with bath and shower over, decent water pressure. Rooms have air conditioning facilities, however it is a requirement for all English visitors to leave a €50 deposit for the remote control, so ensure you have sufficient float in your holiday budget for this.

Odd tradition from the Greeks to not have shower head brackets, which caused regular annoyance when trying to shower, in addition ensure you get yours in early during the day as after 7pm expect a cold one. Our room had an excellent sea view, however was positioned right in the centre of a block, on the middle floor. This meant that our room was surrounded by other rooms which resulted in an unbelievable amount of noise, mainly from the room above which was inhabited by an inconsiderate heard of elephants.

The overall cleaniness of the room was below average, a poor effort by the cleaners most days. We also had to leave our towels in the middle of the floor on one occasion to prompt the change of the towels.

The pool was excellent but I felt it could be a lot cleaner, the duration of our stay saw the spa facility not working.

Continued below.......

Jaime R

The integrated mini market was expensive, and bringing food from outside of the hotel is not permitted, not that it stopped us, just dont walk past reception ;-)

The receptionists were helpful and friendly if not abrupt sometimes, I was also reminded about the food policy on one occasion. Safety deposit boxes and safes can be purchased at €40 for 2 weeks.

The breakfast is continental, runs from 8 - 10am (they hate you rolling up at the last minute, expect a frosty reception) which means there are no cooked items. Generally cereal, bread, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, tea, coffee and orange squash (yes, watered down juice).

There is no communal room upon checking out of the hotel. Your hotel room can be retained for late checkout at €40, this is non negotiable and I thought quite expensive, depends if you can hack the annoyance of waiting for a late flight or not.

On further annoyance I felt was the groups of teenagers who would mix both during the day and especially in the evening, by parents who cant be bothered to entertain them, so inevitably they resort to alcohol and stupidity. Expect this here, related to the wafer thin walls all noise will be apparent. I'll give the night porter credit though for resolving the distubances, however dont expect any assistance from the TC Holiday rep who sat in reception for a number of hours each day doing absolutely nothing!

Hope this report assists, I was keen to write an unbiased summary which reflected the true position on the hotel. Not to discuss the overall holiday and rank the hotel excellent in all manners when clearly it is not.

Had an excellent holiday though, Tsilivi is a very nice resort, no British louts ;-)

Heather T

Had a lovely holiday the food was fantastic and cheap so was the drink. the only problem with the holiday was the maid service on my floor they had no consideration regarding your sleep as they made such a noise at 6.45am, and they only cleaned my balcont once in the 2 weeks I stayed, and the never emptyed my toilet bin one day. Apart from this it eas a realy good holiday.

Dawn & Kevin

This was our third year running at this hotel. The location, rooms and most of the staff were great this year. It's a shame that the waiters that were there last year had left as there were two there this year that were not at all friendly. Many a time we asked them for something and had to wait ages for them to get it or we ended up getting it for ourselves (and NO it wasn't busy). Bring back Julian, Danny,Jay and Leo they weere fantastic and a credit to the hotel. We did like the way the bar had been altered it looks much bigger now. We will definatly return next year. Thanks Theo, Dennis and co.
Vana he is smiling now and can't wait to buy your bands cd.
see you next time
Dawn & Kevin Smith

Lee S

Stayed here for a week with my girlfriend. IF YOU WANT A QUIET ROOM ENSURE you book the new studios and NOT to have a room in the old hotel! The walls are like paper and you can hear EVERYTHING, toilets flushing, doors banging, talking and people getting romatically involved! I complained 3 times with drunk teenagers coming back at 2:30am. I'll give the night porter credit though for resolving the distubances, the Holiday rep never bothered to report back on my complaints! The Pool was GREAT though and clean sheets every day! The beach was good right next to the hotel! Shame about the noise!

Tina K

Just got back from 2nd stay at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel. Rooms are average, but you can't beat the location and is right on the gorgeous beach. The staff are friendly (especially Beris), but don't upset the receptionists - they will eat you for breakfast!

Would go back again as the beach location for the hotel and restaurant/bar is perfect for a great holiday, and the pool is fantastic too.

Glen H

pool is great as mentioned but be careful as there are a couple of sharp edges that grazed our five year olds toes on pool floor other guests had same complaint.

Glen H

Just got back from a stay at this hotel, the pool area is excellent and rooms are spacious and clean (sheets and towels were only changed twice during a 2 week stay) normally at least twice a week this is done there, kept being pestered by staff to use there supermarket which is not on ! sandwich 2.3 euros, around the corner 1.1 euros say no more. Apart from some guests who did not care a less about the amount of noise they made this place is generally ok bar staff are good, but would find another place to stay next time I go.

Vicky H

sorry - tsilivi

Thought everything was Brilliant. Were there July 2002, weather was Boiling Hot every day, Apartment was immaculate and Air Conditioned, beds & Towels cleaned every day, Staff very friendly. Pool was lovely, plenty of sun beds and a little shop that sold everything you could possibly need. Bars & restaurants so cheap, all food we had was lovely. Would definitely go back.

Steph R

I have been to this hotel 3 times and going back again in 2004. I had text numbers of the staff but lost my mobile. Does anyone have their mobile numbers. My e-mail address is steph@crwbin.freeserve.co.uk. I would be grateful if anyone can help.

Karl B

We booked this holiday as a last minute trip, and couldnt have been luckier. My 6 yr old son was on his 1st holiday abroad and he loved it,2 large pools, and the sea only yards away meant he was happy the whole fortnight. All the staff make a fuss of kids, making a real effort to remember their names, and their likes & dislikes.
The Boat-house bar/taverna was excellent value for money, food always hot and tasty.Danny and the boys in the Boat-house work far too hard for my liking, but having said that,"THEY HELPED MAKE OUR HOLIDAY".
I can only comment on the newer side of this hotel {self catering),it was clean, well maintained, and relatively quiet.
One thing i will say is dont listen to the REPS that are based at this hotel,THEY LIE and want YOUR MONEY at all costs, but trust me ,dont let that put you off,the place is well reccomended.

As for Tsilivi town,i cant say a bad word, plenty of friendly bars & restaurants to choose from.
The Ark bar-See finding Nemo there
Two brothers-Fun & lively
The olive tree-Fabulous food (try the beef stifado)
Manos grill-Same as above(try the stuffed tomatoes)
Apolis bar-Great place 50 yds from hotel

Just one word of warning-watch the traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All-in-all a great holiday
Karl,Yvonne,and Lewis. Holidayed 25/8/03 till 08/09/03

Michelle W

Tracey

Went to Tsilivi Beach Hotel for one week back in July with my boyfriend. Found the place to be very nice, pool lovely and always plenty of sunbeds. Didnt think much of the breakfast at the hotel though. Airport horrific...the only thing that put me off. Went on Jeep Safari - very very good, really enjoyed it and tour guide was excellent. Had a really good relaxing holiday even though we did have a thunder storm for a day and a bad stomach. The only thing that put me off going back is the airport, just not big enough for the volume of people going to and from Zante.

Vicky

i am looking for a telephone number for the hotel we are trying to change our b+b room for a self catering one can you help

Steve R

Great location & good pools with plenty of soun loungers & parasols. The down side though was are air-con was broke & alththough we tried to get it fixed from the start of the holiday nothing was done abbout it. Every time I enquired if someone was coming to fix it they pretended it was the first they ha heard about it. We were in the old part staying B & B, I had read comment about peaple complaining about the continental breakfast before I went & thought how stupid it's always like that abroad. Wrong! stale bread tasteless ham & cheese and the 'Fresh Orange Juice' was watered down orange squash. Couldn't fault location or amenities but no air-con in 40 degree heat which led to no sleep really didn't help. The new self catering studios looked really good and we would go back & stay in the modern self catering side but not B & B again.

Courtney B

Excellent location and very friendly staff, especially Alice on reception and the bar staff. Initially provided with a shabby room in old section of the hotel overlooking scrubland and half built hotel. Managed to persuade receptionist to give us a room in modern section of hotel overlooking pools and sea! It does seem that if you are B & B
you are penalised by being allocated a room in the old section of the hotel. In addition to this, better not to have breakfast as poor selection and quality (same rubbish everyday).
This resort is very english (lots of fry ups, footy shirts and chips with everything). As the vast majority of restaurants and bars are located on the main road, meals are accompanied by the drone of mopeds and cars speeding back and forth. Planos area does offer some relief with less traffic and better quality restaurants. Not a bad holiday but won't be going back.

Richard F

hotel was okay. if you have a child aged 0 - 2 be warned the cots are very small and the first one we had to exchange as it was broken and not clean. all staff except marie (who likes to lord it over the other girls being the owners daughter and is often stroppy) were extremely pleasant and doted over my 13 month daughter. breakfast is basic and i mean basic avoid unless you love stale bread and cheese. go to popeye's or the sunshine bar for a good ol english breakfast
rooms are kept clean but towels were sometimes not changed regularly enough. wo't be coming back due to the diabolical airport. 4 departures crammed into one little lounge no where to sit with our daughter. awful. also please don't buy anything at the airport it is an utter rip off even for airport standards. i stuppidly paid 3 euro's for one normal sized can of coke!!!! (over £2.00!!)
sun loungers are also a rip off at 6 euro's gone up 1 euro since aug 03. i think zante is now paying the price. they have raked in stakes of cash from tourism but failed to improve standards. top priority improve the drainage pipes (always smells of sewerage) i refuse to wipe my a**e and stick paper in a bin. this the 21st century wakey wakey!!

Gemma S

i need to know whether there is any rooms left for 2004 as i wanna c*m bak but the hotel always seems to be booked up.

Due to visist tsilivi beach hotel next July. Do you have to pay for the air conditioning and the fridge as we have read different reports? Also can anyone recommend a cheap but decent car hire place and where is the best place to book trips. In fact if anyone wants to e-mail me and advise on anything thats fine. Lynne@home123230.fsnet.co.uk

Laura C

Got back about 2hours ago! Ok place but got very sick there is a bug going around comes out both ends!! But it lasts for 24 hours! So don't think it's something you ate your very lucky if you don't get it! Location was good but for teenagers there is nothing to do! Just talk to who you can and you will have a great time! I met someone out there and had a great time with him unitl he left me to go home! Hotel staff are lovely and bar staff are great espically julian! Watch out for jay he likes the ladies! Earthquake was terrible very scary! Zante airport a nightmare!!weather is great! boat house food not so great!

Natasha R

We couldn't have asked for anything more!It was paradise. The location was fantastic,we spent many nights eating our evening meal with the sand beneath our feet. The apartments were cleaned 6 days a week, which gave the cleanliness 10 out of 10. The food in tsilivi was excellent, i would reccommend the "Family" restaurant, not only was the food out of this world but the service was too. We will definatly consider staying there again.

Tony M

Hi just got back Sunday, had a great time in Tsilivi, what ever you wanted out of a holiday you could have, quiet & relaxed, busy, Bars & clubs or a great place for family's. Beach Hotel very good, great location, a few min's walk from the main street so it was spot on. Our little girl had a great time, even when we managed to get her out of the pool. They even laid on earthquake which was nice of them!!

Kim F

Got back to Gatwick yesterday and myself, husband and three daughters all wanted to go straight back. So relaxing and the girls just wanted to sunbathe and go in the sea and pools. The beach was just down about 8 steps so you could go from the sea to the pools within minutes. The hotel taverna was great and the staff were really friendly. The weather was really hot and we were still on the beach at 7.00pm some nights. Met some lovely people and we'll be back again next year. (Don't forget mosquito spray though, got bit a few times).

Emma S

Just got back. Hotel great, pool great setting great. Some staff unhelpful and rude, inlcuding the bar manager in the hotels taverna, stopped eating there because he was miserable and rude, also the service is very slow there although the waiters were all really nice and the food is nice.
All in all the holiday and hotel were great, would definately go to Tsilivi again as a really lovely place but stay elsewhere.

Fiona R

Is the Tsilivi Beach Hotel open for bookings in October or over the Christmas vacation? If so, is it only possible to make bookings via Thomas Cook?
Thanks Fiona Rouse

Tracey M

We've just arrived back from a two week stay at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel.....
We had a fabulous time, the hotel is in the most perfect setting on the beach. There are two pools which are very large and so is the pool area, no shortage of sun loungers or parasols.
Great for the kids, pool and beach, best of both worlds!

The hotels taverna, the Boat House was great for food and drinks any time of the day/evening. The staff there were very friendly.
Thanks to Leo and Daniel who looked after us.
(Hello from Olivia and Stacey) X

Rachel M

Have just come back for this Island. The hotel was just OK, don't bother with the breakfast. Make sure you stay in the new part of the hotel, as the other side is very depressing, and looks like a hospital! The two Taverna's I would avoid is the Apollo and Summertime, just right out of the hotel. We were short changed all the time, they make the prices up.We also saw them filling up mineral water bottles from the tap. I would also say to check round for any rats, as we saw plenty.

Dean W

Just arrived back from Tsilivi Beach Hotel yesterday with my girlfriend. Had a fantastic holiday and couldn't ask for me. People here are fantastic, Julian,Leo,Jay,Danny, thes guys work so hard from early mornind to last thing at night. As for Tsilivi, brilliant restaurants and bars. Hello to George and Yanni at the Traffic bar. The best bar in Tsilivi and in Greece is The Paradise Bar. Yannis, Marios,Socrates,Nico and Tony are the best barmen I have come across. Lots of free drinks for them and us with laughs all the way. Don't miss out!!!!!!

J C

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks early July 2003. This was the first time myself, Husband and 16 year old son had been to Zante and we could'nt have been more pleased with the whole package. The hotel was brilliant for those people who like a beach type holiday as it was situated directly on the beach. The 2 swimming pools were the best we have seen for both the size and the cleanliness. There was always sun loungers available at any time of the day. We stayed in the older part of the hotel but found everything very clean & fresh and having a fridge in the room was an added advantage, as was the air conditioning. We unfortunately had to have a Doctor visit my Husband during our stay and found the hotel staff extremeley helpful and concerned. We ate at the Hotels Taverna and found it to be very good.

I would suggest to anyone considering booking a holiday at this hotel to stay on a self-catering basis as there are numerous good restaurants within a 5 minute walk where the food is excellent. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast package which was fine, but spent a couple of breakfasts at a local Taverna where they served a traditional English breakfast for 6 Euros. The breakfast at the Hotel was quite basic (cornflakes, boiled eggs, bread, ham & cheese) but adequate for us.

All in all our holiday was one of the best we have had and we would certainly recommend Zante and the Tsilivi Beach Hotel to anyone considering going in the future.

Can't think of anything that's bad about this hotel. We stayed in the studios, and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The location is brilliant, with less than a hundred metres between the pools and the beach. The restaurant is very good, both during the day and in the evening- the waiters were super-friendly.
There was very little entertainment at the hotel itself, but I personally think that's a good thing.
I'd recommend going left along the beach and exploring that side of Tsilivi/Planos, especially the Alexandria Hotel restaurant.

Margaret M

myself husband and 19year old stayed here for 2 weeks but would never go back great for someone who wants a quite life or for the elderly nothing and I mean nothing no entertainment and a very unhelpful girl called Marie the owners daughter who was very ill mannered a needs some lessons in being polite I have been to Greece on many occasions even Zante but have never have I found a hotel so unhelpful in mamy

Michele

We've just returned from a week here and had a fantastic time. The hotel was very clean (and we stayed in the old part.)Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The only bad points I found were that there are no adjoining rooms in the hotel (even if you are promised this by travel company) and my children suffered blisters in the pool due to the non-slip tiles at the shallow end. My youngest wore swimming shoes which had to be discarded as they had been ripped to bits but the older two had plasters on continually as their toes were bleeding after a couple of days. Despite this, they loved the pool to bits and really enjoyed the holiday - they can't wait to go back!
If you are considering an island tour by boat, I would highly recommend Pergolas tours (ask for Tasos) which is located opposite the Troc. Not only were the extremely reasonable (42 euros for 2 adults and 3 kids compared to 50 euros each that our friends were charged by the rep) but they were very well organised, delivered everything they said they would and it was not expensive on the (huge) boat. We enjoyed swimming at the shipwreck and near Keri, wonderful views and even followed a turtle. It was worth every penny and was one of our best days.
For eating, most places are very good but our favourite was Menir's. This was a pleasant, short walk along the beach toward Planos, turn left on the first road off the beach, past the fish restaurant and you'll find it. Children are treated exceptionally well here - free ice-creams with sparklers etc. and the food is wonderful and also reasonably priced.

Hi, my husband and three daughters are due to fly out to these apartments at beginning of August. If you want a good idea of what these apartments look like, look at website www.tsilivi-beach-hotel.gr and click surround video and it gives you views of pool, beach and some rooms. Hope its as good as it looks!!

Sophie C

one big warning to evreryone do not go on a cruise around the island! it was the most terrible day of our holiday the boat was so crowded there wernt enough seats for everyone many had to sit or sleep on the floor an many got ill from to much sun and not enough shade!! we had a great trip around the island with a man on a private speed boat lots of space and freedom to do anything you wish!!!

Sophie C

hi we thought the hotel was great! we had a brilliant holiday but the best part of the holiday was eating at the tsilivi beach hotel restaurant with danny leo and julian!! is there a web site we can go on as we cant find one???

M T

Sorry forgot to say we found the room plenty big enough, for the three of us. and very very clean.

We also paid 50 euro's for the control for the air conditioning.(which we got back at the end of the holiday)

With a three year old be aware that on the way home you may need to stand outside the airport for a while in the heat before getting on your plane, but if you prepare for it, its not to bad.

M T

I just got back today with my Husband and three year old daughter, we went B&B and was in the new bit over looking the sea, LOVELY.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the fridge a god send.

The pool was great and kept very clean as was everything, very hot but a nice breeze from the sea kept us going.

It was our first trip to Zante and we would go back, we did the trip to Zante town very good, BUT I don't recommend that you do the TOTP2 trip with a 3 year old, very loud and full of drunk girls throwing up and fighting in the loo's.

Our only thing was that we felt that we needed more entertainment in the evenings for the kids, apart from the red lion pub play area that was it really.

As for buggys in the hotel not a problem.

Kirsty B

Hi, Just booked to come to tsilivi studios with my mum and my 3 year old son in august 2003. Can anyone tell me if the area is good for buggies and 3 year olds in general. Also are the rooms big enough when the 3 of us are in a studio?

Debbie M

Hi, My daughter (13) and my self are flying out to Tsilivi Beach Hotel 10 July 2003. We are staying B&B. We would like to know if the accomodation is good, and is it quite reasonable to eat out? Is it safe in the evenings?

Dawn, K

we had such a good holiday last year we are returning again this summer.great pool, rooms are clean, restaraunt food and staff great (hi danny, julian and i would say dennis but i know he is visiting london for a year). cant wait till we get there. bye for now.x

Aimee W

Best holiday ever, if hotel was any nearer the beach, it wud be in the sea! gr8 watersports nearby, and i recommend the zakfari trip. bring lots of sun tan lotion though, as EXTREMELY hot sometimes! Reps etc v. helpful, but do drink lots, as we got dehydrated and got quite ill 4 da first 2 days :( I recommend the island, the resort and the hotel 2 ne1 wanting 2 go 2 zante! :P

Emma M

Hi there, gosh lots of mixed reactions from the Tsilivi Beach hotel. I'm going between the 18th July 1st Aug, i'm sure somebody told me that if you're going b&b you stay in the old bit of the hotel, is this right? If so is it ok? Also what kind of entertainment is there for my kids (aged between 6 and 14)seems like its only for owd people!!!

Simon H

I am going out on the second week of August and would like to know a little bit about the hotel, surroundings etc! Have a got a 10 year old daughter. Many thanks

Rachel M

We are going to stay at this hotel at the end of the month, but can not find a website for them!!??

Serena M

Me and my boyfriend are going to Tsilivi hotel at the end of the month and would like to know from previous visitors what sort of trips are offered and what the nightlife is like away from the hotel.
Cheers.

Wendy M

We got back from Tsilivi Beach Hotel on the 22nd June 2003.
We had a great time and found all the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. There were a few teething problems when we first arrived such as the air conditioning wasnt working so they provided us with a fan until it was fixed and the safety deposit box was also not working in the room so we got one in the reception area. Once these little problems were fixed we went on to enjoy the rest of our holidays on this lovely island although, we will not be returning until they have bulit another airport - word of warning - take an umbrella, we had to quew outside the airport for 2 hours in the midday sun because the plane was delayed and it was unbearable.

Donna M

hi sorry to be a party pooper just returned from tsilivi beach hotel, place was totally dead, pool area was great and clean, but this year was put in old part of hotel, over ridden with ants , matresses on bed like riveta crispbead, got sore hips and visit to doctor to prove it. staff and managaress maria very arrogant and most unhelpful. no entertainment at nights except one kareoke night per week, no facilities for kids except pool 4 swim. place has a lot of potential but sadly very under used. people paying this type of money for a holiday expect a little more, dont mind saying will not be back for a third year, definately 4 the over 90s and bores

Sandra J

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, brilliant location and lovely friendly staff.Hoping to come back again next year.

June A

We had such a good time last year that we are coming back on 23 June 2003 to the same studios. The rooms were top class and the pool the best ever. In 2001 we stayed at Amoudi and although enjoyed it was a bit quiet. Tsilivi has the best of both worlds quiet if you want and plenty of bars if you like a bit entertainment. We liked to try different restaurants and were spoiled for choice and never had a bad meal yet. Never saw a cloud in the sky and the locals are very hospitable. 3 years running now for Zante so it must be good. One downside is the airport but worth putting up with it. 5 stars Zante and 5 stars Tsilivi Beach studios.

Martyn M

I am going to this resort and hotel at the end of July. I have read many reports saying it has the best swimming pool around but can anyone tell me whether they have enough parasols so as to stay in the shade a bit.(wife tends to burn like a lobster) Many thanks.

Darran T

HI EVERYONE
GOT TO TELL YOU I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE MOST RELAXING HOLIDAY I EVER HAD, AFTER STOPPING AT THE TSILVI BEACH HOTEL THE ROOMS WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE, THE LOCALS I FOUND TO BE FREINDLY AND HELPFULL. THE FOOD WAS EXELLENT AND GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, THE HOTEL IS ON A BEAUTIFUL AREA OF THE BEACH, BUT IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SEA THE POOL AT THE HOTEL WAS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN. THE WEATHER WAS FANTASTIC AND SO IS MY TAN!!!!! ALROUND GREAT HOLIDAY IN A GREAT LOCATION

Lisa D

I have been to Zante but stayed in another hotel about 15 mins down that long road i wanted to stay in a hotel right on the beach as i am taking my kid sister is this hotel on the beach (i know it says beach hotel) but just checking and thats it is near all the clubs not that i can go with a nine year old but just so i can hear the music and watch the teens having fun!

Donna M

thomas, there is evening entertainment usually twice a week, a kareoke night and last year a wee man with a bango entertained the troops. Sounds awful, but he was quite good, sang all sorts for all sorts and generally a good laugh, but there are plenty of places round about doing greek nights, quiz nights etc. if this is not your cup of tea. enjoy!!!!

Thomas

we are going to this hotel B&B on the 6th July for a week, can't wait sounds great from all your comments.

Is there evening entertainment, if so what sort?

Donna M

Sorry margaret, yes there are fridges in every room. excellent, cold beer, wine, water, juice whatever your poison!!!

Donna M

in answer to margaret maxwell. yes there is air conditioning in the rooms although you have to ask for the remote at reception!! we did not know until we enquired a week into our holiday. Only complaint on our part as it is a fantastic place for couples, families etc. It was very clean, staff are very helpful and being just on the beach. top banana!! So good infact we are going in June again this year with my son Conor 12. When are you going out Margaret?? we go on June 8th?? maybe see you there!!

Margaret M

I'm going to this hotel, booked the hotel for B and B in June. I was wondering if anyone can let me know if there is air conditioning and a fridge in the rooms. Does anyone have an email directly to the hotel itself? If so, please email me at..

"margaret.maxwell2@ntlworld.com"

Nikki

Hi going to tsilivi beach hotel and studios for first time. Just wondering if anyone can tell us any good places to eat and any good car hire places . Is there plenty for kids to do day and night

Donna M

we were on holiday from Glasgow on 15th June this year and it was a great holiday. Plenty to do, lots of friends were made by my 10 year old son. The pool bar and restaraunt were excellent and great value for money. Plenty of cleaning staff and place was immaculate. Baby pool as well as two enormous pools, pool table in bar, shop at reception and breakfast although basic is typical continental style. Right on beach but sunbeds must be paid for, but there are plenty of sunbeds available on the enormous pool areas. Highly recommended for families, and we are booked to go next year.

Carol H

Thanks for the info Victoria W, we are flying from Manchester on the 3rd of October at 9:50am. and we cant wait :)

Victoria W

MSG for Carol H. All the bars are brill, they do let children in no-matter what time. Plenty of bars to choose from and great, friendly people who own them. There are 11 of us going although wew are on different flights. Only 5 of us are staying at this hotel. Where are you flying from and what time??

Dave C

keisha, I didn't stay at this hotel but visited some friends there> It is an Excellent hotel, Two swimming pools, and from what I have been told, the Studios are quite spacious. My parents were so impressed withwhat the saw, they've booked for next year.

Keisha W

Kym A

We have just returned from 2 week at this great hotel. It was our second visit and the transformation from the last time we were there was unbelievable. We stayed B&B but the breakfast was nothing to shout about although if you want a goog english breakfast the Boat House restaurant at the hotel was great. We knew they were planning a new pool and it is far better than our expectations, brilliant for kids, we couldn't keep ours out of the water and never went to the beach as the sunbeds are free and there are plenty to go around. Most of the hotel staff are friendly. We found the JMC reps less so and be warned if you are taking a baby that cots are not gaurenteed, we had a terrible time getting one when we arrived as they are not in your room as you would expect even if you have requested one. Message for Kelly, no kettles or crockers in B&B rooms.

Kerry

My friend and I will be staying the hotel in a few weeks. Do they provide kitchen equipment such as crockery and a kettle in the B & B rooms?

Gavin D

JUst arrived back from a week at Tsilivi Beach Hotel. Great hotel, staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the pol is awesome (biggest on the island) and there are two of them!! all rooms have a fridge and a tv, although all channels are greek. Each room has air conditioning, but you will need to get the remote from reception. They may be reluctant to give you the remote, but if you insist they will eventually hand it over.

Evie G

Heading out to Tsilivi in July. Have never been before and we will be staying in the Planos Park Apartments. Hope someone out there is going before us and can let us know if it was good. The boys are 14 and 10 and i would like to know if they will be occupied enough. Also was insect repellant needed. Also sunscreen factor number please. To anyone going have a ball Thanks Evie

Lynne R

Myself, family and friends are due to travel to The Tsilivi Beach Hotel and Studios on 6 June. We're due to stay in the Hotel rather than in the appartments - any comments welcome please. Hopefully the hotel rooms are as nice as the apartments albeit not as new?

Bob T

My family, wife & 4 kids and Mother & Father inlaw going to Admiral Apartments TSIVILI, in June 2002 We have never been before and would like some advice where to eat, places to avoid, things worth doing and not doing, car hire recommendations, places to swim and any local bugs, wildlife to worry about. Thank you for your help. Bob e-mails to Bobslegal@aol.com

Kerry B

Im gogin on Thursday so will let you know how i find it next week..

Hazel S

The Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. As it is owned by a family I think it makes a difference. We had a great time, the pool was clean and safe and so near to the beach. Try out the Taverna for food. Good range of choice, good price and quality excellent. We had a ball!!

Colin R

Mark, can yuu tell me how you rated the Hotel. Were the rooms clean and was the pool area as good as previously described? How far is it from the bars and pubs, can you recommend any which cater for all ages, ie kids (age 9-13) and adults? Many Thanks. Colin

Mark T

As the first customers to this hotel this season we were surprised that the hotel does not provide cot coots as most EU hotels would but they could be provided for a charge of 23 euro for the fortnight. The hotel is very nice and clean. I could not help but be amused that even though the season started 2 weeks ago they have only just this week got them selves organised Still my kids had a great time and we were very well looked after

Chrissie D

I'm going to zante in 4 days to the tsilivi beach hotel and studios. I'm self-catering and taking my 1 year old child. I'm wondering do they provide cots? thankyou

Lindsay M

Can we book a room for a couple for about 10 nights starting around the 1st June please?

Paul B

JUST AS EVERYONE ELSE HAS WROTE ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS AROUND.POOL MASSIVE AND NEW!ALREADY PLANNING ON GOING BACK NEXT YEAR. MAYBE TO WORK - ANY JOB OFFERS(BAR WORK)PABUDD23@HOTMAIL.COM

Lesley C

Stayed at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel from the 26th Sept to 8th Octover 2001 and Self catering rooms were very clean and and roomy to the view from the balcony was great too. the staff were lovely would stay there again. The pools are great the beach is super water lovely. if you go hope you enjoy it. I DID.

John G

Beautiful hotel purely run for JMC customers. The location was great with the beach on your doorstep and a fabulous pool area. All hotel rooms have a fridge and A/C although it was a struggle to get the controller from reception as one of the girls was adamant that it wasn't hot enough in the nights to use it, took the rep to sort it out. Would definetly go back, but be warned the airport is a nightmare, especially on departures.

Peter L

Just got back from 2 weeks B&B and booked again for next October. The new block and the new pool are superb. Dennis, Theo, Danny & Julien in the bar/dining area are great, nothing too much trouble. Everything within easy walking distance, no walking from the bar to the beach you're on it. We were in the older block, but no problems at all. 35 people from the Birchwood area near Warrington went this year and I think most have already booked for next year.

Meg C

This is the second year running we have been to this hotel. Brilliant location, great pool (biggest on island) friendly staff. Beach bar serves good food and is not expensive. Can stock up with grub/drink at supermarket just up the road if you wish. Tavernas - good choice and Chinese (The Mandarin) really lovely and worth a visit. Going back again this year. Worth hiring a car - swim with turtles at Kalamaki, visit the small zoo/animal shelter and the emu farm, St. Maura's Church and lots of other places. HOTEL AND RESORT TOTALLY RECOMMENDED.

Michelle

Fantastic hotel, right on the beach. Would recommend it to anyone. Pool was massive, but with the gorgeous sea within jumping distance, we never used it. No problem with sun loungers at this time of year. Found the hotel staff more helpful than the JMC reps. Try the Nemesis restaurant at the top of the road, great food and service. Convenient for the hotel too. Breakfast at hotel was boring, but a trivial point, as the whole holiday was so enjoyable. Great resort!

Elaine B

The location of hotel was excellent for the beach. We were one of the people who used the hotels pool facilities for free. Everyone is more than happy to help. p.s. The main manager of the hotel and bar is absolutely gorgeous and a very nice guy too.

Ellen

Just got back from our first holiday in Zante - staying at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel Studios. Fantastic hotel and I can't believe it was so near the sea! Amazing pool and yes, there's absolutely no problem finding sun loungers at any time of the day. Actual beach is a little dirty with too many fag butts but the sea was gorgeous and to be honest, having the pool so near, there was no need to pay out for a spot on the beach. Loved every minute of my holiday! I really recommend it. Don't forget to go the The Joker bar (the cream of clubbing!!!)

Louise C

hi, i went to this hottel at the begining of august it is brilliant apart from the steps! i fell over and cut my knee open down to the bone! i had to have stitches apart from that everything is wickid! the pool bar has really nice waiters and if anyone is going soon say to danny louise says hi! the hotel is clean and new. the beach is nice and a lot to do for kids! everyone is friendly and nice! (the quiz night could have been a bit better!)

Gavin W

Didn't stay this year but met people who were staying there and be warned it is much better now that it is run by JMC but the ground floor still has no air-con

David C

is there plenty to do for children, is the beach/pool area safe to let the roam, is ther a park nearby? we are going september 2002 what will the weather be like

David A

We stayed at this Hotel at the end of July on a B & B basis. The rooms are average - they do have a fridge - but the bathroom is probably the best thing - air con is a bonus but you must get remote control from recep'n (free). Breakfast is ok - everyday you get bread, cereal, boiled eggs, jam, little biscuit things,tea/coffee and some weak orange juice - on alternate days you get tinned peach slices or creme fraiche with honey and cheese slices or ham slices. The chap who had no problem with the sunbeds must have been lucky because we found that most of them were taken up for free by people who were not even staying at the hotel - because of its proximity to the beach.

Joanne W

I'M STAYING AT THE TSILIVI BEACH HOTEL AT THE BEGINIGN OF SEPTEMBER ON BB BASIS. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT YOU GET FOR BREAKFAST AND WHAT THEY ARE LIKE?

Lil

does any one know if B+B rooms have fridges or just the self catring apartments?

Paul D

We found the Tsilivi beach hotel to be perfect - great rooms, pool, bar, staff. I would have no hesitation in returning to this resort and in particular this hotel

Beverley H

Anyone been to Tsivili Beach Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis lately? What's it like? We are going at the end of August? Can anyone let us know?

Natalie B

Have just returned from this resort and had a fantastic time! The new pool and apartments have recently been completed and they've done a great job. All hotel staff were really nice, but what really made the holiday were Danny, Julian and Arturo - the Albanian trio!! The only thing I can find to criticize about the holiday is the JMC reps.
