Dennys Inn Hotel

Accommodation in Kalamaki

Antony K

TO LOUISE denny,s is a fantastic place, we have been going there for over ten years.

the restuarants are superb and so is the food, our two faves are tesoro and diaz, but they are all very good.
there are all different pubs and bars.
with regard to trips, i would advise you book them locally with the local tour operaters as its much cheaper
than booking through the reps.
watch out for the macfadden family around the pool, they dont care who they throw in.

John P

We have just returned from Dennys Inn on 1st June. We have just spent 2 weeks at Dennys and our family didnt want to leave. The staff from the cleaning maids to management look after your every need for a good holiday. Try the Parthenon restaurant on the main road. Yiannis and the staff look after you well. Dont forget to visit the Cave Bar. Free 30 second jeep ride to get there. Its a must. John and family.

Hi Christine..

i hope you enjoy your stay at dennys. this will be out third year running its a lovely hotel. the staff are all brilliant and the food at the snack bar is excellent. bev and maria who work on reception are lovely to. everyone is just so nice and your made to feel so welcome. there is air con and a fridge in the rooms which you have to pay for if you want to use them. dennys is set in a very quite location it is so relaxing the beach is just a walk around the corner so not too far. you can walk to lagana along the beach which is a lovely walk.  kalamaki is a beautifull  place we love it. there is lots of bars and restuartants and everyone is so lovely.

we fly out tuesday 6th june and i cant wait. i hope you enjoy your stay

Norma B

Hi Jayne

Debbie W

Hi Sharon

With regards to hiring fridges at dennys they are already in the rooms and is the air con. We went last year for the second time and all you have to do is when you arrive there either bev or maria will ask you if you want to hire the fridge if so you have to pay at reception and when your taken to your room they have a key which unlocks the fridge so you are able to use it. the same goes for the air con. I cant remember how much we payed for both of them last year.

You have made a brilliant choice staying at dennys you will absolutly love it and kalamki we are coming back this year for the 3rd year running.

Have a wonderfull holiday

Debbie
have a wonde

Christine M

if anyone is going to kalamaki early september would love to hear from you.we are really looking forward to it and hope the weather holds for  us.also we went to alykes last year and we have been told kalamaki is different altogether i hope that is in a good way

Bob

Sharon,

You have made a cracking choice, be reassured about the young boy by remembering that 6 year old children grow up in Greece too and that young children from the UK holiday there every year.  Those few people who say that he will find it unbearable I suspect have an opinion on so many other things but little practical experience in any!  A few applications of the old Factor 30, a hat and a T shirt will be more than enough.

The sea at Kalamiki is safe, has ripples as opposed to waves, is warm and he would have to walk out 30 metres to be at chest depth.

Fridges tend only to be available at SC Apartments and not ordinarily provided at B&B but Dennys Inn do hire them for a few Euros, well worth it!  When I was last at Dennys September 2000 there was no Air Con but then its not really needed then, when there the year previous to that in July/August the fan was enough.

Try EMAILING Dennys a week before departure for a fridge.

Have a great time

Sharon B

Hi

My sister and I and my 6 year old son are staying early July at Dennys Inn for two weeks.  After reading all of your comments we are all throughly looking forward to it.  The only thing i'm slightly worried about is the heat, a few people have said that my son will find it unbearable?  We've never been to Greece, but i'm sure if we protect him with hat and sun cream he'll be okay?  Another thing, are the fridges readily available?  I'm aware that there is a small fee for this, as there is for air con.  Your feedback has been a great help and we are very much looking forward to staying at Dennys.

Hi Mike

The first time we came to kalamaki and stayed at dennys was june 2004 we had a fantastic time. the staff at dennys are brilliant you couldnt wish for nicer people. They will do anything to make you feel so welcome. And the food is excellent. Your little boy will love it there so will the rest of you. We came back last june and we are coming back this june again. we arrive around 10pm tuesday june 6th so if you there come and say hi

Norma B

Hi there Mike

When we were at Denny's 2 years ago, you were alllowed to get your breakfast on a tray and take it up to your room.  That was great we could eat at lesuire, that maybe good for you because of your little boy.  Breakfast was a variety of eggs, fresh bread, peaches, yogurts and some sort of cake, tea and coffee and orange juice.  We had cereals in our room. . My husband had a full english cooked breakfast from the snack bar a couple of mornings.  There is a supermarket not far and they had a good selection of groceries.

We are going again in September and can't wait.  Hope this is helpful.

Norma

Christine

We have stayed in Denny's Inn Hotel in September 2 years ago and we had a couple of Thunderstorms but it did not spoil our holiday.  The days were lovely not too hot spent most of the days on the beach just a couple of days around the pool.  We are travelling to Denny's Inn in September too, we are travelling on Friday 22nd September for 2 weeks. Maybe we will see you there.

Bob

Well William, you really appear as one of lifes unhappy individuals, what happened to make you so bloody miserable, so harsh and prone to insult people from the safety of EMAIL.  We stayed at Dennys Inn in 2000 from 28 September - 12 October, not a comfortable time as we had 7 days of thunderstorms but still loved every minute, then again we are easily pleased and able to make our own fun and not rely on everything to be laid on a plate for us like uninspired idiots.  We have not been back simply because that was our third stay in Zante and we choose to sample the quaintness and quirks of Greece elsewhere.  I have to say that Dennys Inn has provided us accommodation which is as good as it gets anywhere in Greece.  To be fair, you are entitled to your opionion, what irritates is that you seem to think we are entitled to it also!

Why the hell did you choose to comment in such a way about others via EMAIL, any man worth is salt who is not a moral coward or a bully would, if he had something to say, say it face to face.  I have a vision in my minds eye of you approaching one of these ladies poolside and speaking direct to them in the same way as you refer to them on this message board and seeing you subsequently laid out with every ounce of wind knocked out of you.

I really do hope you have a better life than is implied in your EMAIL and I hope your family do see a better side to you than we do!

Bob

Hello to all our friends, Tolis, Karen and Liam, Steve and Wendy, Pete, Ellie and Evonne, Richard and Jill, Jeanie, Rosie and Sandra, Paul, Wendy and Sammy.  Also to our new friends, Anna, Derek, Adele, Lauren and Lucy, Lindsay, Craig and Jacob.  You all made our holiday special as you always do!!!
Rosie, I hope you are feeling better now, and let us know when your birthday is please.
Finally to my best mate Karen, thanks for the wine tasting afternoon on the balcony, it was great fun as usual, we will have to have more than one next year, and please keep your promise and come up to Burnley in a few weeks time.
LOVE ALISON. XXX
(Steven and Liam - do you like the colours)..

Rosie B

Jeannie are you having a senior moment. Your neice is called Kylie not Kyle. Hello to everyone else from Dennys. I really enjoyed my holiday and unfortunately have paid for it health wise ever since, I don't care though as I knew I would not have been able to miss out on my holiday this year. Seeing all of the staff and lovely friends we have made at Dennys over the last few years was the best medicine I could of had. Missing you all, Love to everyone.

Jean C

Glad to hear you all got home safely.  Some of you have had better luck with your other hobby than others (poor old Tolis and Liam).  Still  It' only a game

Kirsty and Liam I expect you're really looking forward to going back to school!

Poor old Rosie has a had a really bad cold since we got back and has been quite poorly but her last chemo is in 1 week and then she starts radiotherapy. Her birthday falls during this and she has booked for me, her and Kyle to have lunch at the Ivy Restaurant - we will be doing some star spotting there!  We might meet William as he seems to only be interested in the high life!   If so we will tell him some home truths so that he fully understands what he missed at Dennys Inn.

Top of the division, Steve.  How long for?

Well Stifado, you thought that the picture of tolis was bad, on this one it looks like you are constipated and what can i say about Tolis? is he looking for more yida to steal?!

Luton S

Hi All

As always, Mrs Tollis is a complete diamond. If the house sells & the timing is right, we will call Bev for a room. The money will be ok, it just depends when the house sells etc. I hear that people from Coventry will try to go to Lutons promotion party at Turd More at the end of the season, could be a giggle! Hey Rosie, our team are doing ok at the moment aren't they.

Anyway, back to my chores that Mrs Stifado wants done.

See you all soon.

Mrs T

Had yet another great holiday.  Dennys Inn is the best hotel I have ever been.  All staff are brilliant and we really appreciate everything they do to make us have a good holiday.  Not had any problems in the 9 years we have been coming, they make you feel so welcome each time you come.  And Bev knows Tony enough now to tell him where to go..........

Met all our friends from previous years, Alison (my best mate), John, Kirsty, Wendy & Steve (we really missed you the 2nd week) & Rosie & Jeane & sister (you are such a nice family with a brilliant sense of humour) - wishing you all well in future and see you next year.  Pete, Ellie, Yvonne & family & friends - you all got another day - you lucky things - Nice to see you all again and see you next year - Hen night at Dennys was such a laugh - enjoy the wedding - see you next year as well.

Paul & Wendy - (Paul are you still sulking that you have had to go home) - you were so funny and Wendy
made our Liams holiday when she was drunk (or jet lagged) as John would say........

Derek & family - hope to see you again....

Really love it at Dennys - met some friends for life.

Thanks so much to Val who left the 10 euros behind bar for John - spend wisey on happy hour with us.

Mick will never be forgotton - we talk about him every year we are there.  One of the nicest and funniest people you could ever meet.

Anyway Steve & Wendy (hope to see you soon) - If possible please try and get there next year - you will be really really missed if not.  Think your both brilliant and such a laugh - and wendy you still have to see the Rabbit.

Yvonne there was no simos? (however you spell it) - think your curse has been broken - unless we here off sharks in kalamaki.- Take care anyway and thanks for entertaining kids on holiday - enjoy wedding and hope we get invite to yours & Garry's SOON.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR - CANT WAIT

(hope its not AS hot though)

Wendy H

Hi Tollis, I'm a little confused by your comments regarding the photo that "Stifado" (I should be so lucky), has posted. The reason why it makes you look drunk, is because you were, and I hate to add, but you were wearing lipstick!!!!!! The lengths you men will go to, to impress the local wildlife (goats and sheep in particular) is beyond me.  For the benefit of anyone thinking of going to Denny's in the future, be prepared to have fun, and make friendships that will make you want to return year after year.  By the way Tollis, we decided to keep the photo of you in the full leather gear, complete with handcuffs for another website!!!

Jean C

Oh Steve how could you - poor old Tolis.  IT IS A VERY FUNNY PICTURE THOUGH

Tollis K

oh stifado, that was a declaration of war, that photo made me look drunk with lipstick on we really missed you and wendy the second week, but that wont stop me getting even young maaan. a man is entitled to look a little weary at four in the morning. see how everyone has agreed with wee willie(i think not)so everyone reading these comments ignore williams and and listen to the genuine people who visit dennys inn, from the children to the elderly( sorry yanni mac) but you are getting on a bit

Well Liam Kearney, take a bow! This Billy Boy is probably from Watford, which tells you one thing about his sexuality & social skills.

Jeanie dear - you seem somewhat surprised by the trouncing Luton dealt to Crystal Maze on Saturday. Oh yee of little faith. QPR have started with there free scoring form I see. I feel sorry for the MacFaddens. They bought those lovely relegation shirts before they came on holiday. Never mind John, being the Prophet you are, you should have seen it coming.

Re the holiday- top class as usual. I think the table tennis table has shrunk though. Tolis - do you agree?

See you all very soon.

Oh Tolis - you asked me not to post this picture but how could I not?

Jean C

I take it you got back home safely then, Liam?

John - you will have a lovely time at Denny's.  Feel reassured by the many positive comments and I look forward to reading your comments when you return.

Helloe to all those lucky people who stayed on a week after Rosie and I left - hope your journey's back were uneventful and you are all enjoying being back at work.

Shame that some of you had your last Satuday on holiday spoilt by some dodgy football scores - but what about Luton Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wendy H

John, just to confirm what everyone else (except William of course) has said, that you will not be disappointed with your holiday to Denny's. Well done Liam . Isn't it amazing how a 13 yr old can be so eloquent (you may want to look up the meaning in the dictionary William)!!! Hello to Tony, Karen, John, Alison & Kirsty, hope you had a fantastic second week, and hope to catch up on all the gossip soon. By the way Rosie, where is the Rose and Crown????????????

Rosie B

Liam, glad you got that all off your chest!!. Well said. See you soon. Love to all. (PS did your Dad leave the wig there or did he get very attached to it!!).

Liam K

well william,  is everyone else wrong and you right, its so easy to be a faceless(i was going to say man) child. sitting behind your computer talking absolute drivel, we asked who you were, but no one knew, so you must have been great fun. why did you mention the leather sofa you had just bought, (was that meant to impress). ask yourself honestly have you got many friends, if any. to be offensive like you have been, just about sums up the type of person you are, not very well liked and very insecure, i think. by the way, you never moaned about the water in the pool being wet. every one that reads your comments is disgusted with you and your attitude.

dennys inn is a lovely hotel with great staff and clients(apart from you it seems), i,ve allways found you need a sense of humour to enjoy and get along with people, would you agree william

Liam K

mr w.Gordon i am 13 years old and i know scum... and your one of them ! And as for those rat infested roads there must have been so many they were invisible or they were just attracted to you!the staff are great and friendly ! And as for your personal remarks well.... you have gone to far and out of order! And i havn't saw any overweight people or things but by the sounds of it your head is one of those things ! Please don't come back you wining little baby boo friggin hoo! liam!

Liam K

Well William you maybe you need to sort out your eyes because, every sane person i know loves kalamaki !!So on be half of kalamaki dont come back! ever!

  from liam !

John M

Me and my girlfriend are heading for Kalamaki, Denny's Inn, in just over a week (15th August). We are really looking forward to it, and the hotel looks smashing from the website. We booked it by making what we call an "informed decision".
That William fella must be blind and daft, did you mean to book the Ritz?! We were told on booking about the charge for air con, which to be fair we have paid wherever we've been for the last couple of years. To say it's scandalous is a bit ott, suicide bombings are scandalous, paying a charge for air con is at most a slight annoyance.
Shame you weren't going same time as us, we love laughing at 2 bob millionaires, is your missus called Hyacinth!?  Still, we are looking forward to it, should be great, especially as shameless is a top comedy, it'll be laughs every minute. I don't like Jim Davidson though, so I probably won't watch the videos (again, an "informed decision" - bit of a pattern going on here Bill, take note).

Anyway, I'll post what we thought of the place when we get back, we are not expecting to be remotely disappointed though.
Anyone else going same time as us?

Debbie W

Well i would just like to say that my husband and i came back to dennys for the second time this year and we had a brilliant time. Last year was the first time we came to kalamaki and we loved it. we absolutley love the place and dennys inn, the staff and owners are lovely and they made us so welcome like rosie and other people have said they make you feel like family. William well what can i say you must have been on another planet not kalamaki. your comments were down right rude and disgusting and offensive to other holiday makers and especially the hotel and staff.  everyone has a right to express their views but without being offensive to others. all i can say is its a damn good job that i wasnt there when you was. thankgod you wont be going back to kalamaki the people who live there or other holiday makers dont deserve anyone like you.

Rosie B

This is in response to a post I have read by a Mr William Gordon. The hotel is lovely and friendly but then I would think this as I do live in a council house!!!!!, I am overweight oh and I enjoy a cheeseburger (not 5 a day though!!!). If you want luxury then I sggest you pay thousands and go on a luxury holiday prefrebly a cruise but I am sure you will find something to moan about (as I am sure overweight ,council house tenants go on cruises too!!) whatever you do. In fact I think William Gordon may be a pseudonym I think in fact you are called Victor Meldrew. I agree with Jeannie and Wendy that the staff are lovely and welcoming and you are actually remebered by name by staff and owners which gives this hotel a family feel, you don't get that many places. Oh and in the 4 years I have been coming to Dennys Inn  and the resort of Kalamaki I have never seen a rat (but then I was not there the same time as you!!).

Jean C

I have also just returned from a 2 week stay at Denny's Inn amd had another wonderful time.  Agree with Wendy's comments.  My house is an ex council house on an estate - does that count?  William is of course entitled to his opinion - however he seems unable to make a point without being personal and offensive.  Still anyone reading this site will know that he is a very small majority - most people enjoy their time at Denny's Inn on their hard earned and deserved two week break.  Laying round the pool is the ideal antidote to the stresses and strains of the work we do throughout the year to afford the holiday that we can take where we like when we like and with who we like.  So see you all next year

Wendy H

Just returned from our third holiday at Denny's, and as always have had a fantastic time (and I'm not a Council Tenant either!!!) The hotel is always spotless, the food is excellent, and above all the staff are always cheerful and ready to go that extra mile to make you feel welcome. Keep up the great work, and hopefully we will see you all again soon!!!

Louisa C

William - We came back from 2 weeks at Denny's Inn on the 4th July. I hope to god you wern't there then. All I can say is, we really liked the hotel, and the standards there were excellent for Greece! You have obviously never been to Greece before, otherwise you would have known what to expect. What did you do to make the toilet fill up? Actually I don't want to know, there are plenty of signs telling you NOT to put toilet paper down the toilet!

The staff and Denny's were great and couldn't do enough for you. Apart from you obviously. Did you expect to be waited on hand and foot? Or were you upset because you had to waddle over to the snack bar for your fifth cheeseburger of the day (which, incidentally, were really nice!)

As for the people sitting round the pool, you were in Greece, what did you expect??? Not only that, but YOU DIDNT HAVE TO LOOK! nobody was forcing you to sit and stare at people, or were you expecting a group of size 8 supermodels to gawk at???

Your comments are arrogant and offensive. Please stay away from Greece in future, people like you are not welcome in a country that many of us love.

Kevlar

Well william i needed a good laugh the other day and you provided it. It was an honest opinion which is fine and dandy but i think alot of people would have taken it the same way as me, a little bit over the top and i think if you'd kept it as a more basic slatting of the place people would have taken it more seriously than they did but its been done now so there you go, shame you didn't enjoy your holiday though.

Margaret M

Dear Sally,

My family and I are just home and we loved it. I would say its more for familys than 18 - 30. I found it clean and all the staff are friendly especiallly Andreas who works night shift. Tell him I said Yasou. Also the Iguana bar as you just go up the street shows all the latest movies to entertain the children. And cocktails are only 2.50 euro's. Don't buy your trips through the holiday rep as you will get them cheaper on the street there is a good one at the top of kalamaki Road and they work out half the price. The rep charges 6 euro's to go to Zante town but it only costs a euro on the bus and the time tables are bang on. There are a few good tavernas Milos is really nice also the Parthenon, Zepo's and Escape. Drunks corner is another good pub, but if your looking for busy night life Laganas is yoyr place its only about 9 euro's in a taxi.

Hope this helps.
Margaret

Lisa M

Theres free speech, then there is being damn right rude! Lets just say he was the wrong 1!

Christine W

I don't think its a shame he was reported to the moderator. He was rather rude about people and their appearance and Kalamaki in general. Serves him right. Lands End had to Laugh.

William G

Oh well eh?

Maybe it's because I've been speaking the truth.

I'll leave you all to enjoy the 'Beautiful resort of Kalamaki'

Enjoy your Jim Davidson vids

Nick Nick!

Dot

Well that's a shame Williams post had been reported. Has nobody heard of Free speech??

Chris C

sally, if you click on the message board for Kalamaki (bottom right of the main page) you will find loads of tips and things to do, contributed to by dozens of very happy holidaymakers!!

Julie I

    Re William:
Whilst everybody is entitled to their opinions....good or bad...I feel that your comments about people were a bit offensive and rude!!!! Whilst I am sure that everyone is sorry that you were disappointed with your accomodation and holiday in general....there was no need to be personal!!!  You would probobally class me as one of those people uprooted from " a council estate and dumped" there...which I might add I am not....and even if I was it is not for you to comment!!!
Greece ....the Greeks...and Zante in particular...are the Best....and I think if you had shown a bit more tolerance and relaxed into the atmosphere that we all go to Greece for...then I think you would maybe have had a different experience!!!
Maybe you ought to try the Caribbean next time......or......Lands End!!!

JOOLZ ( Lover of all things Greek)!

Sally G

Well what can I say apart from thank you all for putting my mind at ease. The comments that William has added concerned me a little as I have just booked up to go to Dennys Inn begining of September for 2 weeks. Saying that all the other reviews seem pretty good! (They do say that there is always one bad apple, and I bet he's no adonis!). I am sure we will have a great stay, if you or anyone has any thoughts on what we should definaltely do during the 2 weeks I would really appreciate it as it is our first stay here.

Claire P

Only 4 weeks until we come back over ,

I hope we don't bump into anyone as rude as you William - ever heard of treat others as yourslef woud like to be treated?? doubt it if your comments are anything to go by!!!

Oh well can't wait to see everyone!

Claire xx

Christine W

William what can I say you obviously like making friends NOT. How dare you insult other holiday makers and I agree with Chris you should have researched the place before you left England. Anyways you obviously did not read the brochure or you would have noticed you pay a local charge for Air Con and Fridges. I would book another holiday mate looks like you need one.

You obviously have not been on the Kalamaki page because you will find a host of compliments about Kalamki, its people and that particular hotel.

Alan B

re william:

We find your comments offensive, not only to the hotel, but to everybody that enjpys their holidays in Kalamki.

If you did not like the hotel, there is surely no need to insult the people that do, the greeks are the most friendly of people if treated with respect, by the tone that you write in, may i suggest that you appear to have no respect for anybody, if you want 5 star luxury  go back to where you usually go, and leave greece to the people who enjoy its simplicity

alan and lynda berry

Lesley S

just read victor meldews Angrysorry william gordons review and i am amazed at his attitude. He complained about the radio playing greek music that is probably because you were in greece! Then he moaned about people sunbathing around the pool but isnt that what you go on holiday for.I think you should stick to a resort next year where you wont be disturbed by people enjoying themselves may i suggest Antartica oh but take your own radio as im not sure they play english music there either!! Tongue

Chris C

William as you have the internet to write a scathing review I take it you didn`t take time out to research the resort before your holiday, nor when you got there take time out to discover the lovely tavernas and restuarants both in and outside Kalamaki, preferring to wallow in loathing for the duration of your stay?

Kevin F

Blimey William! Pehaps you need another holiday!  This is Greece and not Monte Carlo you know!

We were there from 05.07.05 to 19.07.05, so thanks very much for your observations of me and my family sunbathing, I like my "sweaty, over-weight body" which is now a little browner.

William G

I am completely incredulous at the amount of positive postings about this accommodation and Kalamaki in general.

Denny's Inn is without doubt the worst accommodation I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The best way to describe the rooms would be one notch up from a prison cell. Rock hard beds, a bath only big enough for an oompa loompa, a hand held shower because apparantly they're 'more hygienic', a toilet that constantly fills up and the most laughable thing, a 'music system' which consists of one radio station playing about five (greek) songs on a loop.

Then we come to the advertised facilities that each room has air con and a fridge. This is true, but what you're not told is that you've got to pay 4 euros per day for each for the privilege of having them! So, for a two week holiday, you need to fork out an extra 112 euros (about £75) if you want cold drinks and to keep cool during the nights (which are insufferably hot). Scandalous in my opinion.

How people can say about how great the staff at the hotel are, I just don't know. Even the simplest request is met with a look of derision as if you've just drowned a puppy in the pool. Oh yes, the pool.... the pool area is like someone has picked up one of the worst council estates in the country, chartered a flight and dumped the residents on Denny's Inn. People who put their towels down first thing in the morning and then sit, sweat and frazzle their overweight bodies whilst doused in vegetable oil all day. Women with absolutely no shame whatsoever lie there all day burning themselves so thier skin looks like the leather sofa I bought the other month, the only movement they make is when they waddle over to the snack bar for their fifth cheeseburger of the day.

The resort itself is shockingly bad. From the hotel, you walk down a rat infested road to get to the main strip. The menu at the majority of the restaurants is identical, so by the end of the first three days you're sick of it. It's also a resort packed full of bars. Unfortunately each of them are identical in terms of offers and pricing structure which isn't much cheaper than back in the UK.

Please, please, please, if you've not already booked for this resort and you've got any class about you, don't book. Pay a little bit extra and go somewhere where the cast of  'Shameless' don't go.

Richard N

Four years running we have been to Dennys Inn and we are coming back for our fifth (and honeymoon) on August 2nd. We can't wait!! Bev get the champagne on the bar for about 21.30 we both look forward to seeing you all. Love Richard & Jill xx.

Dave M

It's been 3 weeks since we came home from Dennys and all I can say is that Wendy and I loved it (again) Bev really goes out of her way to ensure you enjoy yourself. Loved the karaoke after the bar-b-q. Sorry if my snoring kept Gill and his wife awake (and anyone by the pool when I dropped off!). For food try Dais resturant just off the main road, for a full english try the Rose and Crown on the main road. Hope to get back soon, love to all at Dennys. Wendy and Dave.

Fiona B

We're not sure if we like Denny's Inn, BUT we know for sure that we LOVE IT!

7 years worth of holidays spent at the same hotel - they must be doing something right!

We have made so many Friends there that we see year after year, so my namesake Fiona must need a lobotomy or a personality transplant if she didn't have fun here.  Bev is off her rocker and goes out of her way to ensure everyone there has the best of times.  she is practically a second parent to my 2 girls for 2 weeks every year.

Sigouro and Spiro, Carol and Georgia are fantastic hosts and the whole shebang is like home from home.

Keep up the good work guys, see you soon.

Definitely the best place we've been to on holiday. The staff are true friends to us but we were unfortunate enough to come across some blok from Burnley! He claims to be friends with the Mayor of Derby but I'm not so sure! Looking forward to seeing The Tolis' & The Yiannis Mafadden crew at the end of July.

This was the second time we have been here and loved it again.   Special thanks to Bev and Mary.  The barbecue evening was really good fun, we went twice!  Have just seen the comment from Dave and Wendy prior to their holiday, we had the room next door to them (carry on snoring Dave, don't know how you put up with it Wendy!), no you did not keep us awake!  We really like this hotel as it is very clean and friendly and is very close to the beach and restaraunts.  We will definitely be back again soon. Sorry we missed saying goodbye to Bren and Casey at the airport, hope you had a good trip home, maybe we'll meet back there again one year.

Jean C

WELL SAID TOLIS!!!!!!!!

Just had a brief e-mail chat with Yiannis in literally the last five minutes (I should really be working but the holiday is what's keeping me going at the moment!)

See you all soon

Tony K

having just read fiona,s comments on the hotel, i find it hard to believe she really did not enjoy her stay.
her comments are so contradictory to everyone else,s i think she has said it for a laugh, just to be different, or is a very immature teenager.
as for the boring comment, well i have never seen anyone looking bored in all the years i have been there. so make your own conclusions from that one, maybe fiona is a tadge boring HA HA.
everynight all you can hear is the sound of laughter and people all mixing and having a great time.
if you get the chance, ask andreas to do his animal impressions, he had all the kids and adults(not sure which one i am yet) in bits.
back at the end of july for two weeks of boredom, (sorry great laughs with some great people).
see you all soon folks

Jean C

only four weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!

message for elizabeth who i understand is arriving during our second week.  elizabeth you asked about walks - i am sure yiannis will walk up the mountaim with you as he does this most years.  i note the negative comment made recently has inserted the smiley - you will know that represents p....d so i expect we will be and then also the next morning!

looking forward to seeing all our friends
love from jeannie and rosie xx

Rosie B

The comment by Fiona on 15/06/2005 is the only negative comment about this hotel, so please no one be put off by it. Read all the other positive comments as they are really what Dennys Inn is like.

Roger T

Dennys Inn is quite simply the friendliest hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are most accommodating. We have been 3 times now in the space of 5 years and it has never changed in that time....I hope it never does, we are sure to go agian. If you like a full English breakfast then you will have to go into town to get one, I recommend Mermaids (approx 10 mins walk up the main drag). Kalamaki itself is not too busy, most of the 'action' goes on in Laganas down the road, long may it stay there!!
There are plenty of good tavernas and restaurants in the area, Stanis being my personal favourite. However, if you want a bite during the day then the poolside restaurant serves excellent food at decent prices. All in all you, in my humble opinion, for the price, you cannot beat this place, in terms of friendliness and hospitality, you will have to pay a lot of money to get anything that gets anywhere near Dennys Inn.

Yiannis M

GLAD THAT FIONA WONT BE THERE WHEN WE ARE AND THAT SHE WONT BE RETURNING.Ouch ITS OUR EIGHTH YEAR AT DENNYS THIS TIME,MEETING UP WITH 22 OTHER PEOPLE,WHO RETURN YEAR AFTER YEAR.Cry

ALSO TO ELIZABETH,THE PARTY GAMES START WHEN WE ARRIVE ON 24TH JULY.
AND THE WEATHER WILL BE VERY HOT WITH A POSSIBILITY OF A SISMOS !!!Smile

PLEASE NOTE THAT TOLIS WILL BE DOING TRIPS UP MOUNT SKOPOS AGAIN AND TRIPS TO SEE THE FAMOUS ENDANGERED ZANTE TADPOLES,FOLLOWED BY YIDA SLIDE SHOW,JUST ASK FOR TOLIS AT THE BAR OR DOWN AT THE OLD MANS GETTING THE PAPER.Pissed

ALL THE BEST TO ALL AT DENNYS INN---------------------------------------------------

Fiona A

dennys inn was very poor boring unless you like turtle slide shows!! or bingo haha. breakfast very poor unless u like egg or half peaches. nothing for children except a swing. bev the receptionist was only decent memeber of staff. that marie needs to smile more, towels black with holes in them and dont get changed often. .ate out everyday resturaunts excellent would recomend the 'parthenon' as food in dennys is much more expensive. wont be back EVER!

Claire P

Denny's Inn is simply the best and most friendly hotel i have ever stayed in.  We are going back for the 4th year in a row, its so good we're bringing the parents along too! can't wait counting down the weeks, we have another 12 weeks to go! seems like forever - but it well worth the wait!

I would recommend Denny's to anyone!! Its great!!

Love to bev and co. looking forward to a duet on the karoke!

Only 7 weeks to go fellas! I can't wait for the party games, Tony and Yiannis what will the weather be like in July and are there any nice wals to go on?

Lance S

i don,t know how many times we have been to "denny,s" maybe 7 or 8 times so we must be going back for a good reason. Stuart-Spiro-Bev&all of the staff always make us welcome.8 of us came over for a fortnight on the 10th of may, weather was brilliant, beach is only 5 minutes away, needless to say we will be back sometime in the near future.  Lance.

Frances C

Ross and Karen, there are plenty of shops and restaurants on the main street and scattered around near the hotels.  You'll enjoy it, and the position of the hotel is perfect.  5 mins to the beach and 10 mins to main street..

Ross C

Hiya Kevin & Grahm,

Thanks for the information from both of you about the airport and how close it is to the hotel.
We are looking so forward to this holiday it's unreal all the posotive comments on here are great it sound like we picked a great place to holiday this year.
Just one other question is there plenty of shop's/restaurants in the area apart from what the hotel offer's???
Thank you everyone for your comment's,
Ross & Karen

Just spent a very relaxing week at Denny's Inn in May with the average temperature at 80 degrees in the shade.  Had one day of rain, but it was still very warm.  This hotel is ideal for couples with small children and older couples.  Teenagers may be a bit bored as there was no entertainment.  But this was in May, it may be different High Season.  The hotel is very clean and the rooms are reasonably sized with a bath, shower, fridge, balcony and air conditioning.  The maids came in every day and changed the towels every other day.  My only gripe was the beds are too hard and very uncomfortable but you do get used to them.  There is a good sized bar with plenty of seating and a large screen tv in the corner.  There are safety deposit boxes available at a small charge.  The staff are very friendly without being intrusive and they will assist with any problems you may have (which is unlikely).  If you need to know anything about where to go and car hire then ask at reception and they will help.  If they do the barbecue night while you are there it is worth the money and you can eat as much as you like.  The pool is clean and there were plenty of sunbeds to chose from, even at mid-day you could take your pick.  There is a childrens playground outside and a games room next to the bar with a pool table and several arcade/video games.  It is quiet, evn though you are near to the airport the noise doesn't really bother you.  It is quite fascinating to watch the planes come in and they do stop after 10 at night til about 6.10am.  I only woke once at 6, but this was the first morning and after that they didn't wake me again.  You are approx 5 mins from the beach and the nearest shop is 100m away.  The main resort is a 10 minute walk with a few bars and shops nearby.  We spent most of our time in the Iguana bar just around the corner or Cronulla on the main street.  the beach is OK, not as nice as the ones in Vassillikos but if you hire a pedallo near the Beach Bar and go out about 200 yards chances are you'll see a turtle swimming around and catching some sun.  It's a superb sight and they are bigger than you think!!  If you want noise and commercialism then go to Laganas, if you want peace and quiet go to Vassillikos.  Kalamaki is a nice mixture of the two and Denny's Inn is a comfortable, ideally located hotel.

Antony K

kerry, i said would never go any-where twice until i came here (dennys) with my wife and four year old son (at the time), well we have been back every year since, bar one. there is a small park, but i think once the kids get in the pool they never want to get out, whatever age.i dont know the other hotel you mention but i can definately vouch for dennys, we meet friends every year with children there and they all say the same, even at night, the younger ones seem to all get on and play together and they are all encourage to sing on kareoke night.

Kerry L

We are trying to deside between 2 hotels, we are a family of 4 adults and 3 children, and our options are Louros Beach Hotel and Dennys hotel, we would really love to hear from people that have stayed in either hotel. We know their locations but are usure how suitable they are with children, the kids are 4, 7 and 10. We eat out a lot but do like lazy daytimes I cannot find information on dennys kids area, they say they have a childrens playground but cant find any pictures? We have booked flights and need to get accom sorted quickly. Thanks in advance.

Dave M

My wife (Wendy) and I stayed at Dennys 4 years ago and had a great time. We will be back this year for 2 weeks from the 9th June, really looking forward to it!

Kevin F

Hi Ross and Karen,

we have stayed at Denny's twice and are coming back again on 05 July 05. We have never been bothered by the planes, they do come in to the Airport about a mile away, and because of restrictions on night flights, because of the turtles, the planes do tend to be quite busy throughout the daytime, but the sound is not at all noticeable.

Can't wait til we go back again, we have just received notification from our holiday company that Stuart and Spiro (the owners) have been putting in air conditioning ("to be paid locally"!), which will make it an even more pleasant stay.

Ross C

Hiya,

Sorry Ross & Karen here again forgot to mention we are going on 29th September for 2 week's,
Thank's,
Ross & Karen

Ross C

Hello everyone,

Ive just booked my holiday for me and my girlfriend. We are staying at DENNYS INN HOTEL and when we got our invoice through from the holiday operater it says that there may be some aircraft noise due to the proimity from the airport.
How bad is this noise does anyone know cos now im worried but going through the holiday reviews nobody has a bad thing to say about this hotel and nobody mentions anything about the noise.
Can anyone please help me and let me know???
Many thank's,

Brenda D

We spent the last week of the season at Denny's Inn. Even though by the middle of the week, a lot of the shops, restaurants etc. had closed or were closing, we had a great time. Weather great, only one short storm. Location is perfect, in the countryside, but close to beach and main high street. Staff at Denny's were all friendly and helpful, the hotel was of a good standard for a three star. The only thing we would critisise was the fact that the towells were only changed once, and they left a lot to be desired, not very clean. There was plenty to eat at breakfast if you like rolls, toast and cake! Eggs were served twice. All in all it was a great autumn break, would recommend it to anyone and would return, but take my own towells.

Sarah B

Got back yesterday from a week at Denny's Inn, we had a fab time, the location is superb, very rural, and extremely close to the beach.
Rooms are a good size, and clean, towels and sheets changed regularly. The pool area is nice but we found we preferred to go to the beaches. A lot of activities took place in the hotel but we preferred to do our own thing and go into Kalamaki or Laganas. Staff were very helpful ordering taxis etc if needed.
Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, ok if you like eggs.
We would definitely go back, it was very relaxing, were a bit worried about the weather but it was scorching for 5 out of 7 days.

Norma B

Roy Blay

We have been to this hotel and it is good. Our room was just big enough for 2 adults. Don't know if the rooms vary in size. There is currently no air conditioning but there are fans in every room. The phone number for the hotel is 0030 26950 27785. Contact the hotel via the web info@dennysinn.gr. Their web site states that there is a laundry room but there is not don't know if it will change for next year. I think the season closes at the end of October.

Roy B

Rosie B

Well said Yiannis!!! Couldnt agree more.

Norma B

Sorry that should be a big thank you to Spieros and staff!!!

Norma B

We had a lovely time here. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful it is a pity we cannot say the same for the girl who worked behind the bar. I think her name was Annatay. She was not friendly at all. The pool area was great and the rooms were very clean and the towels were changed on a regular basis. We would definatley stay at this hotel again. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. I liked the idea that we could get breakfast served on a tray and take it your our room. Thank you to Yannis. We had a lovely holiday!!!

Gary D

Great accomodation we will be back soon. Thanks to Spieros and all his staff for a brilliant holiday.

A POLITE REPLY---------------I HAVE NOT CALLED ANYONE WHO LIVES IN BLACKPOOL,I WAS REFERING TO THE HOLIDAYMAKERS WHO GO THERE,AFTER ALL BLACKPOOL OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE,SO PEOPLE WHO WHINGE ABOUT THINGS WHEN THEY GO ABROAD,SHOULD STICK TO THINGS THEY ARE MORE ACCUSTOMED TO BACK IN THE U.K. I TOTALY AGREE WITH THIS WEB-SITE AND I DO PUT DOWN HONEST OPINIONS AND COMMENTS ON HOW OUR HOLIDAY HAS GONE ,THEY ARE THERE FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO SEE.BUT IT UPSETS ME WHEN PEOPLE PUT BAD FEEDBACK ON DENNYS INN WHEN WE HAVE HAD SO MANY GREAT HOLIDAYS HERE,IN GROUPS OF UP TO 21 PEOPLE WHO ARE ALL REGULARS AT THIS HOTEL,IT IS THE OWNERS AND STAFF WHO MAKE THIS PLACE SO GREAT,IF ANYONE HAS THE SLIGHTEST OF PROBLEMS THE STAFF OR OWNERS WILL DO THERE BEST TO SORT IT OUT-------------------------REGARDS YIANNIS

Now don't get me wrong, we did like Denny's Inn. Rooms are cleaner than any I've stayed in on Greek Isles, the pool area is great, nice bar, nice staff etc. BUT if you follow the hyperlink above to the website don't be fooled. The rooms do not have a fridge or radio or air-con! (and they don't really look like the pictures). We were told on arrival that the site only applies to bookings in 2005 (sceptical!). You can hire a fridge as stated below for 4 Euros a day so that's not too bad. We returned from Denny's Inn yesterday and had a lovely time, but if it was the height of summer i'd definitely check on the air-con! Also - be careful of the JMC 6 nights for the price of 7 trap!!

Steve S

Yiannis, everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is what the feedback facility is here for. Just because it doesn't happen to agree with your experience of Denny's Inn doesn't mean that you have to castigate the person concerned if their experience wasn't so good.

I come from Blackpool and could take offence at your implied pre-conceived ideas of the place, by telling the person to stick to Blackpool next time for their holidays, but I don't, because that might be your opinion which you are entitled to.

And by the way, I have been to Denny's Inn many times, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yiannis M

CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TO DENNYS,---------------------ROSIE U HAVE MY E-MAIL ADDRESS.

Rosie B

we love Dennys inn. Best holidays we have ever had.
Yiannis you did not answer my question.

Yiannis M

GLAD YOUR NOT COMMING BACK TO DENNYS INN,WHAT DO YOU WANT? HOW COULD YOU CALL BEV? BREAKFASTS ARE SERVED EVERYWHERE IN KALAMAKI,SO WHY DIDDNT YOU GO WHINGING ELSEWHERE? JUST STICK TO BLACKPOOL NEXT TIME,BLOODY HELL!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT SOME PEOPLE WANT,YOU COME TO A PLACE LIKE DENNYS INN ,WHERE PEOPLE REALY DO WORK HARD TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME AND GIVE YOU SOUND ADVICE,PLACES TO VISIT,EAT,SHOPS,ORDER YOU TAXIS,ECT AND YOU GET PEOPLE WHO ARE MOANING ALL THE TIME,WE HAD SOME LAST YEAR,THE TOAST IS DRY!THE BREADS FUNNY,THE SKYS BLUE !!! THE BEACH HAS SAND ON IT!!THE WATERS WET!!!! DO PEOPLE NOT THINK THAT SOME OF THE COMMENTS MAY BE HURTFUL TO THE STAFF?

Libby C

We have been going to The Denny's Inn for 4 years now and it's great.Stuart, Spiros and there staff can't do enough for you, you will see Andreas the night porter that will take over from Beverley around Midnight, all his english has been self taught and if you mention Michael Owen or Liverpool you'll be a friend for life(Although I don't know what he thinks of Michael Owen leaving until I see him in 11 days time.... Have checked weather today and forecast has changed, it now looks quite promising for next 2 weeks!

Karyn

We've looking at the weather forecast and it's not looking brilliant after 17th September for at least 7 days, (rain, thunder storms, etc)does anybody know any different?

Norma B

Hello again Karen

Just for your information here is the web site address for Denny's. www.dennysinn.gr I requested information from info@dennysinn.gr Here is their phone number 0030 26950 27785. We may meet on holiday.

Norma B

Karyn

My husband and I are travelling to Dennys on the 16th September for 2 weeks. I have been in contact with the hotel and there is not a fridge in your room. You can hire a fridge for 4 euros a day. I have already e-mailed the hotel and requested a fridge for our room for the duration of our holiday. Can't wait!!!!

June R

Fiona - This will be my 10th or 11th visit to kalamki and we do not find it expensive at all. Being "canny scots" as well we find it excellent value for money. See you - we're arriving on 16th

Karyn

Hi, I am going to Dennys Inn this Thursday (16th) for 2 weeks with my husband Garry and my dad, Norman (also known as Nobby. Can anybody tell us if there is a fridge in the room, if there is much cupboard space for clothes and also does anybody know how big are the rooms sleeping three.

Must say, we have found this message board really helpful and thankyou to everyone who has replied, also, hello to anybody going to Dennys at the same time as us - we are really looking forward to it. xx

Ian &

we stayed at Denny's inn for a fortnight 22nd August - 5th September , had a great time , it was our 2nd visit to the hotel and we wasn't disappointed , the staff are very helpful and they put a brave face on when my hubby practiced his greek ! we hope to visit again in 2006 . For the person who wants to know whether they should take a travel kettle , they should take one, as I missed my early morning coffee . you get a choice of tea or coffee at breakfast and you can get hot drinks at the bar or at the snack bar.
Thanks again for a brill holiday , wish we was still there . !!!

Karina T

Me and my partner spent 2 weeks at this hotel from 26 aug to 9th septmeber. Throughly enjoyed this hol. Good facilites and very friendly staff. Beautiful island. Recommend a restaurant called 'Paolo',great food and friendly staff. Can find it on the main kalamaki road, about 10 mins walk from the hotel.

Peter M

It's not expensive. Places such as mermaids are very cheap. Eating i tavernas (my wife, 12 year old and myself) cost us about 30-40 euros including drinks). You can spend more at places such as the Zakynthos retaurant: a good meal with good service but can cost up to 150 euros.

Have you looked on the kalamaki message board? There are a lot of recommendations from various people there about where to eat, what trips are good etc.

Fiona S

Well, in a weeks time, me, my other half David and our daughter Kerry will be staying at Denny's Inn for a fortnight - Can't wait :-)

Thanks to everyone to adding to this message boeard, we have really found it a great help - I look forward to be able to post about our holiday in 3 weeks when we are home again - If anyone is there at the same time as us, please come and say "hello" to us jocks ;-)

Now being the moserable jock stereotype (lol) is it expensive over in Kalamaki, or are the moths in the wallet saved for another year ???

Fi xxxx

Maria H

Yes u will need to take a travel kettle

And towels are provided to use in your room but not to be took by the pool..... the towels are changed daily.

Hope this helps

June R

We are going to Dennys Inn on Sept 16th - will I need to take my travel kettle?

J S

Anothr bathroom question! What about towels, are they provided?

Peter M

The bathrooms do have showers, but they are hand held, and can be quite difficult to manipulate. There does seem to be plenty of hot water if you need it.

petermadeley@cht.nhs.uk

J S

Hi,thanks to all of you who add comments to this site, we are going to Denny's Inn in a couple of weeks time and are really looking forward to it, and even more so after reading all the great reviews. One question though, do the bathrooms have showers and are they any good!

We decided to book a late holiday and was well pleased that our travel agent found us Denny's Inn.We were here between 4/8/04 to 20/8/04 and had a very relaxing time.Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Breakfasts were fine, always fresh and plentiful.I thought I'd be having a full english every morning before we come but only had one in two weeks.Places to eat in Olympic order were Gold-Michaelos,Silver-Diaz and Bronze-Mermaids.Approx 15 walk away from the hotel is Michaelos, but this is well worth the walk.I'd give Iguanas and Escape a miss as my son and I didnt enjoy our meals there, but that is my own opinion.A special mention must go to the old boy at Dennys who does the maintenance. He was up every morning at 6am doing odd jobs, and was still on the go late at night, top bloke!Anyone staying here I'm sure will have a nice time.James says Hi to little Denny!!

Maria H

Hi Helen!

Yeah i know the lads especially Brad a nd shane as i know Brads parents and that knew em before we went on holiday

Peter M

Helen

why not email Denny's Inn and ask them to pass a message on? Did you leave your details in the book? If you did you could ask for the boys to look there.

Helen G

Peter M

BTW have posted a list of restaurants we used on the Kalamaki discussion page

Peter M

Just got back from a two week stay. Very enjoyable, but some children the second week made a lot of noise late into the night. Service by staff is excellent and friendly. The guests were very friendly, particularly Alan and party. I did kareoke for the first time. Weather was abit too hot.

Lisa C

stayed here 2nd - 9th july! the pool is really clean and reasonable size. breakfast pretty basic, altho i only got up once for it. rooms average size and cleaned nearly everyday, bit of a squeeze for 3. no air - con but fans supplied in each room. its a 5 min walk to the beach and a bit further to the kalamaki - laganas main road. hello to any staff that remember us. pics in the gallery! :)

Debbie W

Hi karyn forgot to say the wine is around 5 to 7 euros a bottle depending on what you have and the beer is very cheap starting from 2euros to 2.50 euros. have a fab time

Debbie W

Hi karyn we stayed at dennys in june we had a fab time the food is brillint. breakfast is 2 pieces of toast large roll either with ham or cheese sometimes we got fried eggs as well. other times we got small dishes with peaches or other fruit in plus orange juice and tea or coffee it was very nice . enjoy your stay at dennys

Karyn L

Hi, going to Dennys Inn mid-September, I've heard conflicting stories over the breakfasts - my husband is an insulin dependent diabetic and we are a little concerned about lack of carbohydrates etc. can anyone tell us what you actually get for breakfast. Also, does anybody know the average prices of wine and beer on the island. Many thanks, Karyn & Garry.

Norma B

Can anyone tell me if the rooms have a fridge. We are travelling here is September.

Paulo P

Hi, I'm looking at going to dennys in oct. we have 2 little kids (4 and 1). is this place suitable? cheers

Laura C

Some really good places to eat out and cheap.
House wine especially (some places 1 litre for 4 euros (£2.80 ish))
Iguana,Artemis(must),Zepo's Family Taverna, Stani and Panarama all great. Try Greek dishes well worth it, delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laura C

My Boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Denny's Inn. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, the staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, the only thing lacking was air conditioning and you definately need it during the night.
The breakfasts were nice, despite what others might say!!!
It is only a stones throw away from the beach and within walking distance(short walk) from Kalamaki main street where it is all happening. The hotel is in the prime spot, quiet and peaceful yet within the reach of the tavernas, pubs and clubs(catering for all.)We stayed for bed and breakfast, but it was so cheap to eat out in the tavernas and restaurants, you had no ties to stay in the hotel if you didnt want. Had a brill time, both would come back tomorrow to escape to the beautiful Island and leave the terrible British Weather behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Samantha M

Hi to everyone at Denny's Inn. Once again Paul and I had a fantastic holiday. We have been
to Zante for the last five years but only stayed at this hotel for past two. We would not stay
anywhere else now! Hotel perfectly situated for beach and restaurants. Staff very helpful
and friendly. Nothing too much trouble! Lovely to see John, Alison and Kirsty, Richard and
Jill from last year and nice to meet Jackie, David and Marissa. It's a shame Rosie, Jean and
Kylie left so soon after we arrived, Karaoke not the same without you! John, I do believe
you were the teacher of greek words!! [Big Brother!]
Hope to see you all next year x

Yiannis M

Had another great holiday. Staff, as usual, more than helpful, clean rooms, nice friendly atmosphere. Can't wait for next year. See you then Yianni McFadden and family.

Rosie B

Superb!!! Great family run hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, superb pool, what more can i say except i will be back next year.

Giles M

This hotel was excellent value 4 money, in a brilliant location nicely between the beach and the town, dont believe the moaners on this site who complain about the breakfasts cuz theyre fine.
The only complaint i can make about it is that it lacks air conditioning & the fans dont make up4 it during the night. If they get air conditioning i would definitely return otherwise its 2 uncomfortable 2 enjoy!

Giles M

This hotel was excellent, the breakfasts were fine so dont believe the moaners who complain about them and obviously expect 2 much! Me and my girlfriend loved the views, the only complaint i have is about the lack of air conditioning, it desperatly needs it!
Kalamaki is a suprb resort, it is definitely best 4 couples. The hotel is in an excellent location, right between the beach & the town.

Trevor J

hope to see youi all soon

Trevor J

just replied to questions please note location, quietness and cleanliness are all excellent.

Trevor J

The tavernas are great you have to walk a little but the walk there and back is a nice comfortable stroll. Denny do evening snacks you have dinner if you go full board.

Trevor J

it is situated next to laganas toward banana beach.

Trevor J

Denny's inn is wonderful we have been twice before and are now planning a new visit as soon as possible.
Words just fail us our holidays with dennys inn staff have been lovely, it is a warm and welcoming place very homely.
Well done all hope to see you all soon.

Debbie W

hi we stayed at dennys in from june 1st to the 15th for two weeks. we had a fabulous time in zante. lots to do and see. dennys is a lovely hotel staff very welcoming. also we met some lovely people while staying in the hotel. adrieenne hi from debb and chris if you read this and thankyou for making us so welcome on our first night. to all who is going to zante the restuarants are lovely. mermaids, spaggetti mania, bq steak house, and iguana, all brilliant and many money. down under is the best bar they are fab in there. food in dennys was excellent we are coming back next year xx

Nina O

what will the weather be like mid september

Clare

We stayed at Denny's for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff were friendly. We ate out every night and highly recommend MERMAIDS resteraunt on the main street and Kalimaki, we have never tasted suh nice food and the service was amazing. The new bar VENUE was great fun and owners were friendly.... but the best drinking spot had to be "Down Under"

Liz P

Hi - Just been to Denny's for 2 weeks - Hotel is Basic but Clean. Staff friendly and Helpful.

Loads to see and do in Zante, the reps give you details of all the trips when you get there, but we managed to book ours locally, much cheaper as there are several "shops" on the main road. Any one wanting something a bit different go Sailing for the day - we went twice it was so good - the first time we left at 8.30am and didn't get back until 8.30pm!(not suitable for kids tho).

Car Hire - we recommend Merlis (Hi Julie)- cheap, fully comp and they deliver and collect from your hotel. Just bare in mind we managed to drive round the entire island in a day.

Food at the hotel snack bar is excellent, but it closes at 7pm so we regularly found ourselves at a restaurant round the corner - Iguana. We tried several places but kept going back - you can see all the food freshly cooked and prepared - it tastes great! You can choose to sit in the bar or restaurant area, in either area early evening views of the mountain are spectacular.

We unfortunately missed the hotel Karaoke as the man who does it was ill, but found a late bar in Kalamaki - Venue, which does it til 6am -you get a shot if you sing - beware they are lethal!!!

Had a great time - can't say I'll go back, but then I never do - the worlds a big place, with new places to explore.

Oh, just a quick message for Bev - hope you're still enjoying BB - Marco to win!!!

Kevin F

Norma Bruce
Denny's is situated between 10 & 11 on the right of the long beach road, very close to the right hand turn. It less than 5 minutes walk to the beach!
Can't say I've eaten at the Pandesia Fish Taverna but would recommend Michaelo's Restaurant and if you've got kids - Mermaid's Restaurant

Adrianne R

For those looking for good food, there is an Italian down the right hand side of the main street, I forget what its called but it has a green triangle sign (its near the Olive Tree resteraunt and an Indian/chinese combo place) They serve all sorts of food but the main thing is its really really freshly cooked and absolutley delicious, I thoroughly recommend it. As for trips, we did 7!!! Kefalonia and Olympia were really worth while, but the best one is definately the Zakfari, its a brilliant day out. If you do the boat trip to smugglers cove, be prepared for at least 8 hours on the boat, its good but take something to protect your bum as the seats are quite hard!!!!! ENJOY!

Rosie B

Giles, There is a good snack bar at Dennys but it closes at about 7. Do not worry though as there are a lot of restaurants close by (about 10 mins walk and you can eat at a different one every night and still not have sampled them all).It is only a 5 min slow stroll from the beach. All rooms have balconies, but not all overlook the pool area. The evening entertainment is basic but as it is close to restaurants and bars you do have the choice. Best night at hotel is the Saturday karaoke. As i said in earlier comment if you are serious clubbers Laganas is not far away (short taxi ride).

Giles M

Does Dennys Inn do an evening meal? If not is there tavernas nearby that are any good? Also what is the evening entertainment like at the hotel? & how far is it from the beach? Is it very likely that we'll get a balcony? we've requested one but were wondering if many of the rooms actually had them? Cheers and sorry 4 all the questions!!?!

Norma B

I'm back again!! Can anyone tell me where on the Kalamaki map is Dennys situated?

Norma B

Has anyone eaten at a restaurant called the Pandesia Fish Taverna? Have read it is a really good place to eat!!

Rosie B

there are no hairdryers in the room, but you wont need one as it is so hot (even in the evening) that you end up sweating if you use a hairdryer. All you have to do is wash your hair and sit on your balcony for half an hour or so drinking a cold Amstel or Mythos and your hair will be dry. I am going back to Dennys In on the 11th July so the couple who are going in July I may see you there. I am going with my sister (we are a tad older than you) and my 19 year old daughter. You will have a whale of a time.If you are serious clubbers(i.e drink and dance till 6am) then you can go into Laganas as it is not far away, but there is plenty to do in Kalamaki until the small hours, Just dont wake the dogs on the way back to hotel!!!!.

Giles M

Me & my girlfriend (22 & 18) are going to 'Dennys Inn' during july, is this a suitable hotel for people our age? Also do the rooms have air conditioning of any sort or is the heat bearable?! Also what excursions are available & any advice as to which are the best? Ive only heard of the Zakfari & smugglers cove tours. Cheers any help will be wicked.

Emma B

Hi

Girlie question! Is there a hair dryer in the rooms?

Thanks!

Colin + jill M

Just got back from Dennys Inn Hotel in Kalamaki, Zante, Greece. What an absolutely marvellous holiday! Hotel exellent in every aspect. Staff extremely friendly, especially liked Bev coz she liked my version of Angels on the karaoke on Saturday night (Colin). Situated perfectly for Kalmaki centre (about 15 mins walk), beach about the same in opposte direction, but mind the sand it gets very HOT! Loads of good places to eat if only going B+B. Laganas for the ones who like it a bit more lively, but we prefered it in Kalamki. Thanks to all at Dennys Inn Hotel especially Maria?? on reception for the big favour U did us on Wednesday with the Safety Deposit Box!! Also thanks to Thomas Cook. The excursions we went on (Zakfari, Zante Shoppping + Sunkissed Cruise) were all important + very enjoyable parts of our holiday. Would definately recomend anyone with a pulse to goto Dennys Inn Hotel with Thomas Cook. Godd luck Ian with the repping, + thanks for taking our piccy on the steps. You'll have to get used to them digital cameras you know!!

Hope to come back soon,
Colin Mitchell (AKA Karaoke King) + Jill Habisreuter.

Jean C

O.K. This is getting silly now. What about practicing over the weekend -will need a few drinks first - still what's new!

Rosie B

sorry i forgot to put excellent for everything. Also Jeannie yes we will meet on saturday to try on all our holiday gear. See you soon. Also we may need some practise for the hotel karaoke (well you might, but i dont!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Jean C

Rosie - are you on the website at the same time as me - what a coincidence - speak to you tomorrow about arranging to see you on Saturday to try on th holiday gear!!!!!!!

Jean C

I believe there is some form of air-conditioning in a few rooms but you will have such a good time you will be too tired to notice if it is warm! However there are fans in all rooms. There were no fridges in the rooms but the very helpful owners have a fridge available for residents use - if you need it for something particular just ask I have no doubt that the hotel will do everything they can to oblige. I have visited several times with my sister Rosie and we are going back on 11 July this year with my niece can't wait - Hi Yiannis and family see you soon! Are any of the rest of the gang going at the same time?

Rosie B

Can anyone tell me if Matt is the JMC rep at Dennys Inn this year.

Norma B

Please can anyone tell me if there is air conditioning or fridges in the rooms. WE are travelling in September to Denny's and looking forard to it from the reviews here.

Stephen F

Yiannis M

JUST A MESSAGE FOR ROSIE. THANKS FOR THE XMAS CARD, WE DID NOT GET YOUR ADDRESS LAST YEAR. WE WILL SEE YOU ON THE 15TH JULY AND WILL EXPLAIN TO YOU THEN. I WILL NOT GO TO THAT BAR UNTIL THEY REMOVE THAT DISGUSTING FOOTBALL SHIRT!!!!!

Rosie B

Lisa C

dennys inn is right next to the beach, its reasonably clean, and great for kids

Karina T

Hi can anybody help me. I am travelling to kalamaki in the summer and staying at dennys inn hotel. I was wondering if anybody knew whether there is a nice beach within walking distance of this hotel.
thanks

Rosie B

Sorry forgot to ask really important question in last message. Is Matt the rep for JMC working at Dennys this year??

Rosie B

Am going back to Zante for the 3rd year running, and to Dennys Inn. Was introduced to the Island by my sister and when I first arrived I thought she had brought me to the 3rd world!!!The airport is an experience!. Dennys Inn is wonderful, the staff are brill especially Andreas the night porter who helped my sister clear up my bright blue drink induced accident on my 1st year!!!They did let me back the 2nd year and they remembered me and my sister (dont know why!!). Also have met some lovely people who go to Dennys Inn every year, hopefully they will be there when we go in July. (You know who you are Pete & Ellie,Yiannis,Alison and Kirsty,Tony,Karen and Liam,Steve and Wendy and Danny and Sue). Flying out there on the 11th July so will hope to catch up with you all. Also will Tony and Steve be doing another karaoke duet!!!! Hope so, as you were stars last year!!!If we see you we can all have a cold Mythos together round the pool. Also if a member of staff is reading this can you give us a room on the same floor as reception as we have trouble getting our cases up and down the stairs,(Also easier for me when I have to help Jeannie to bed after a few G&Ts!!!)

Adrianne R

Hello, can anyone tell me what the towels in the rooms are like? My boyfriend and I are booked for the first two weeks in June and were wondering whether to bring an extra beach towel for the room!
Thanks

Ian &

we went to the denny's inn in 2001 , had a great time ,breakfast isn't that good , but so what! staff very friendly, the pool & the beach are lovely and we met some great people . we are going again on the 22nd august for 2 wks , also coming with us are our two daughters age 6 & 13, are there any other families going that have got children about the same ages ?
we are also meeting up with our good friends davie & sandra , who are also staying at the Denny's inn , where we met them in 2001 !

Norma B

Can anyone tell me if there are fridges in the room. Also are there fans for hire if there is no air conditioning. We are travelling here to this hotel in September.

Valerie N

Staff extremley helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not as horrible as people have commented. Large roll each, piece of toast, croissant, jam, tea or coffee and each morning something additional i.e fried eggs, boiled eggs, peaches and cheese, cheese and ham. Genuinely a very friendly place.

Hi
My wife and I stayed at Dennys Inn 11 years ago and had a lovely two weeks holiday, now with 2 children we would like once again to come and stay. Can you advise how I can book rooms and find out availablility of rooms, also if rooms have airconditioning as they did not when we last came. Thanks very much.

Duncan and Liz Bell

Amy D

how do i get info on accomodation?!

Sam G

oops just noticed I shoud have put a thumbs up!!sorry!

Sam G

My husband and I stayed at Denny's Inn in October for 7 nites and had a great time. It was the 2nd last week of the season so everything was getting quiet and closing down, however we still had fun. We won the quiz nite and hubby won the last killer pool comp of the season!! The staff were very friendly and helpful, made you feel very welcome. Most of the other guests were friendly and we found plenty to stay up late with and have a few drinks with(we were the youngest couple staying there 30,32).The rooms were basic but very clean, didn't see any bugs!Breakfast was fine although don't think I could eat it for 2 weeks, if you want a fry up there are plenty of cafes/bars to get this. Hotel well placed for beach and only 5-10 min walk to main street. Overall a great holiday, just what we wanted!

Neil

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....why o why do people go on about breakfast all the time?..me and my wife only have coffee or tea and a piece toast in the mornings,so when on holiday we only like the same. Not a full fatty fry-up in the greek sun. we stayed at dennys inn in may(the early heatwave) every one was so friendly and helpfull as it was our first time there. so any one thinking of staying at Dennys just book it. we will!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie R

Me and my boyfriend have just got back from a week at Dennys Inn and we thought the hotel itself and the cleanliness was excellent. The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday and we were surprised to have air con and a fan plus a bath which we have never had in Greece before! The pool and the grounds were also immaculate. The only thing we didnt see was the friendly staff which I was expecting after reading the reviews on here. Whether it was because we were a younger couple I don't know but I can honestly say I dont remember any of the staff even smiling at us let alone talk to us!! We stayed at the Borsalino apartments in Laganas last year and the greek owners there made our holiday but we didnt receive the same welcome here so spent our evenings outside the hotel in Kalamaki and Laganas and luckily met some really nice people!

Elizabeth L

this was the first time in zante the hotel was great and the staff were excellent the breakfast was good and the rooms were cleaned every day.The only down side was the Saturday karaoke it was very loud for people with very young children

Paul & Sam

Stayed at Dennys Inn for two weeks at the beginning of September. Read the positive reviews before we arrived. It's not until you actually get there that you realise the authenticity of the praise. The hotel was spotless and food excellent. However, it is the staff there that really make this place a joy to stay in. We were amongst the few 'first timers' at Dennys Inn and I can now understand why people go back year after year. Stuart & Spiros if you are reading this then make sure you keep your prize asset - Bev - as she is a great host and she should come over to the UK during the closed season to teach hoteliers in the UK how to it should be done.
We heard a few negative comments about breakfast but Stuart and our friends from Coventry, Tracey,Kenny,Dylliss and little angel Alex kept us up every night drinking so we never made breakfast!
Hope to come back soon (if we can get in), Paul & Sam

Leona D

I had the most fantastic time at the Dennys Inn and i am really looking forward to coming back next year. The staff in the hotel especially Stuart, Spiros, Bev, Marie, Aretti and Andreya (hope I spelled those names right) made it such a great holiday because they are so friendly and having travelled to many places i can honestly say, Dennys Inn provided a service second to none. The JMC rep, Matt, was also lovely and had time for all and i would recommend going to the Reps Cabaret even if its just to see his lovely form in the Cheeky Boys show. It was a fantastic night and all the reps were great. See you next year and thanks for a great holiday Dennys Inn!

Dan R

Great hotel, clean, lovely from outside, nice gardens, clean pool entertainment great, location perfect local shop owners friendly.
Book with confidence.

Barry P

I cant wait to come back to Dennys in for the second time last year was such a great time for me and my girlfriend we are coming back out on october the 5th cant wait to see Bev and all the staff!!! if anyone out there is looking for a holiday in Kalamaki, any age Dennys in is the only place to stay. I am 24 and Claire is 20 so anyone that sort of age that is up for going out drinking and just having a laugh we are there for 2 weeks!! Bev if you do read this and you have records of what room we were in last time please can we have it again. Barry Pethers

Julie & Andy

We have just returned from a week spent at Denny's.
Would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Zante.
Hotel is spotless and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, you soon get used to the daily flight arrivals!
Denny's is well placed for the beach and not to far from a large variety of bars and restaurants, we will definatley be going back.

Paul S

Staff really helpful and friendly, especially Bev. Hotel was clean, tidy and ideally located. The pool was well kept and very much enjoyed. All guests were exceptionally friendly and everybody seemed to be one big happy family. Will definitely visit again. The beach was near and clean. Tavernas and restaurants very good and reasonably priced. Jeep Safari trip highly recommended.
(PS* If Paul or David Docherty read this please e-mail us)

We have been back just over a week from denny's and missing this great hotel already what a place and all the great staff it was our second year there can see why lots of people return year after year.Today we have just re-booked to go back for our 3rd time next year thanks to all at denny's for making our holiday so good and stuart steve still wants that job there so he dosent have to go home each year.

Barry M

We stayed at Dennys Inn mid August 03 the hotel itself is fantastic if lacking air con in the burning heatwave we had . Pool was lovely and clean , play area for kids excellent also the regular but not overpowering evening entertainment . Would have no reservations about returning lovely place to stay , freindly people , close to the beach and bar food nice . Could do with better breakfast menu BUT NOTHING IS PERFECT . Top place ..............................................

Tony K

sorry allmost forgot , tell matty the rep to tell everyone about the tadpole society,

Tony K

kirsty what the heck are you doing telling the whole world about my yida collection, i might have to take them back up the mountain to safety, they are not a freak show you know, they need my tender loving, not to be stared at by tourist, you and liam are the only two to feed them, you should be honoured, how can people come to this fantastic island and moan about a bread roll, it seems so very sad to me, i share mine with the birds and they buy me a drink later, no no no not the dickie birds, the fit birds, yanni mac fadden was 100% right ,if you really need to moan about somthing its the sea, it was absolutely soaking wet, my shorts got drenched, pool night is a good laugh, but dont take it so serious, its for a laugh, we all laughed at wendy,s shots (just jokin) anyway there will be a even bigger crowd of us next july so try and get there ,its gonna be one hell of a party, i might even wake up for it, hey stuart, if you read this, look after the love story video, gone with the yida, frankly my dear , i dont give a sheep, its a weepy, cant wait to get back, see you all soon.

Tony K

quite simply, brilliant, did anyone see the two he_ she,s singin paradise by dashboard light, at the kareoki in july , weird man, anyone going in august or sept ask stuart the owner to show you his goat video, its very interesting, full of interesting facts about goat life, you wont believe some of the things in it. well to me they are quite normal???. after a couple of bottles of local wine you,ll know what i mean. anyway top hotel, great staff, shame about the quiz master (hee hee) bet i get a slap for that, soz bev, yanni, alison , kirsty, steve wendy, pete and ellie, danny and sue, sean gemma luke and liam, and the new addition, see you all next year, baaaaaaa baaaaaa, its my new mating call, take care everyone.

Yannis M

HOPE YOU LIKE THE RECENT PHOTOS-------------I WILL ADD SOME MORE SOON-------TAKE CARE---------LOVE TO ALL AT DENNYS--------YANNIS !!!

Just returned from the Denny's Inn hotel in the fantastic resort of Kalamaki. I don't know what you lot are complaining about, but me and my famil go year after year to Denny's and every year we all look forward to the FANTASTIC breakfast the rolls are large, but we always say the BIGGER the better. And the coffee is better than starbucks.

Matt the JMC rep was absolutly fantastic, he was so helpful and always had a BIG smile on his face. The Sunkissed Cruise that Matt sold us was the best event we have ever been on.

Well apart from the Thomas Cook reps caberet, which was the best night of are holiday, especially seeing Matt as the CHEEKY BOYS

Absolutly Fabulous holiday, cant wait till next year.

Barry L

Just want to add a bit about the local fruit shop and general shop near the goat paddock,I found the oldish chap at the fruit place really friendly and helpful,he taught me a few Greek words on my daily fruit purchasing visits,I tried his wine too,its not bad.The chap opposite is also a good laugh once you get to know him.I wish we were back at dennys inn now, must be missing the rolls!!!

Barry L

Basically,a good hotel, great pool, clean rooms, some very pleasant staff, lacks the friendliness of most greek hotels.owners children tend to want to dominate pool at times fighting and ducking their followers.pity about lack of ice creams and obvious tension behind the scenes.Breakfast, on 1st day you think its not as bad as everyone makes out,but after 14 days you'd happily strangle anyone who mentioned rolls,as previous person said, why do we put up with it,we pay for it and its crap,a buffet style like most greek hotels would be great,as I said there are obviously problems behind the scenes as ice creams were half melted if you could find any at all,and hearing the owners shouting at each other behind the pool bar is worrying,we all enjoyed the holiday very much despite breakfast.Staff at local shops and tavernas were friendly and helpful.emelia says hello to elle, from Barry ,Judy,Gavin and Emelia Laws

Yannis M

WE HAVE BEEN COMMING TO DENNYS INN NOW FOR 6 YEARS ON THE TROT,I HAVE ONLY MISSED 1 BREAKFAST IN ALL THIS TIME!YOU ARE IN GREECE,WITH HARD WORKING STAFF,TRYING TO PROVIDE WHAT IS AT HAND,SO I DONT EXPECT A FULL ENGLISH FRY-UP EVERY MORNING,WITH HOVIS BREAD!! IF YOU DO WANT A ENGLISH BREAKFAST TRY ONE OF THE LOCAL TAVERNAS.SOME PEOPLE COME HERE AND EXPECT A TRANSPORT CAFE,SO THEY CAN GET THEIR DAILY FIX OF HIGH CHOLESTEROL.IF YOU DONT LIKE THE BREAKFASTS,YOU DONT HAVE TO EAT IT.WHAT WILL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS BE ABOUT?THE SEAS TO WET,THERES SAND ON THE BEACH, OR THE SKYS BLUE WITH NO CLOUDS!!!!

John A

Denny's Inn was generally great - nice pool and location was close to the beach ! Shame about the bloody breakfast !!! They should not be selling this place as B&B because the breakfast is a disgrace. We have visited Zaknythos three times before and this is definitely the worst breakfast ever !! Huge rolls for breakfast, surly looking staff, luke-warm tea & coffee. Nobody ever seems to complain - why not ? You have to pay extra for this breakfast !!! Damn shame !!! One of the tour operator companies should make this clear in their brochure !!

Yannis M

JUST SPENT OUR SIXTH STAY HERE AT DENNYS INN,GREAT FOOD,GREAT STAFF,THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE PART OF THEIR FAMILY! Thank you to all at Denny's inn Hotel
Once we have some pictures developed we'll add them to this site.
This was our 2nd visit to Kalamaki, but first to Denny's, the hotel is clean, staff are very friendly, in an excellent location, close to the beach and town (but not too close) leading to a very relaxed atmosphere.
All in all this the place to stay in Kalamaki.
We hope to see you later in the year if not next.
Its no wonder people go back year after year!!!

myself and my boyfriend (18 and 21) returned from dennys in kalamaki on the 21st july. we had a really good relaxing holiday. the rooms were always kept clean and tidy and no job was too much for the cleaners. s**t on the balcony! no karen and andy it wasnt us!! it was the cats. the pool side was gorgeous and was kept clean by the caretaker (and karen). the food was lovely i especially enjoyed the salads which were very filling!

we tried a few different restaurants including mermaids which was definately over rated considering it was voted number one restaurant for price and quality we thought the best bit was the film they were showing, bruce almighty, panorama which was ok we especially liked the escape taverna which was only a short walk from dennys inn the food there was lovely and the staff were really friendly and were only too willing to explain to you what was in the greek dishes.
the cave bar is also a nice place to have a drink,it overlooks kalamaki and laganas its in a gorgeous setting and the drinks arent too expensive about the same as dennys i'd say.

overall id say we had a great holiday and the people we met were great!

i would definately like to visit there again.

jayne and andy, karen andy and georga it would be great to have ur mob numbers to send a little txt now and again!

Stayed at Dennys in mid June, only found this site today.
Good place to stay, could do with a/c that worked though!

Staff at hotel were great. Made the holiday.!

David M

Have just returned home (21-07-03) from Denny’s inn, and thought it was a great place to stay, close to beach and to restaurants, I would not hesitate in going back to stay there again.

Have just arrived back, had a great time rooms were clean but could do with some air-conditioning ! Breakfasts were ok - toast, hard rolls and sponge cake! Not sure about the Karaoke every saturday night, went on till about 2.00am. Apart from that hotel was very good for the price we paid.

Karen P

Just returned (24/07/03). What a lovely hotel. The staff are extremely friendly. If you have children (we have one aged 3 1/2) then the staff are even more friendly. They run a 'Time Out' session from 6-8 pm on Sundays when the wife of the owner and her children look after your children. Our daughter, Georgia had her face painted, did some colouring, made an octopus, lots and lots of things, she loved it. The pool was lovely, very clean and tidy. Altough you always get some lazy brits who won't clear up after themselves. There is a caretaker that goes round and puts it all tidy for the next day. The food in the pool bar is fantastic. Great kids meals where they get a drink, a meal and an ice-cream for about 3 euros. The rooms were lovely, we overlooked the pool and the bar, so we could hear the greek night and the quiz, although didn't take part. We met some lovely people and had a fantastic time. The breakfasts could be better, surprised that there was no fresh fruit or greek yogurts. Just rolls (the size of your head), cheese, ham, cake, eggs but not at the same time. You had to guess each morning what you were going to have.

If you want to explore then don't listen to the reps, the tour companies just rip you off. We did a round the island tour for 15 euros and our daughter was free, the tour company wanted 34 euros per adult and 17 for our daughter. We went with Pelergos tours and had a really good time. This time in Kalamaki we were able to get off at Smugglers Cove, very nice.

The food in the resort is fantastic. We loved the Tavernas Escape and Merlis. Mermaids is very over-rated and to be honest quite average. When we went 5 years ago it was really good but has outgrown itself if some way. There is also a brilliant Chinese called Hong Kong food just fantastic.

As you can see we had a brilliant time and would have no hesitations in going back.

Karen, Andy and Georgia Penfold.

PS. Met Tony Kearney, he's been there lots and lots. See his comments below.

Myself and my partner have just got back from a week in kalamacki and we stayed at Denny's Inn. Whata brilliant holiday!!! Rooms were more modern that we expected, we had a room on the newer extended part of the hotel with great views. Downside was no air con, but we were expectng that, the fan was ok, but it was still hot and I could'nt of coped with it for two weeks. We never seen any mozzies, but we had a repellant plug in thing in our room, and we made sure we dosed ourselves up ith high strength Deet repellant which worked a treat, they never came anywhere near us. We did see a lot of poor people with loads of bites though, so make sure you get a repellant that has at least 50% Deet in it (from Boots)

Location was excellent, 5 minute walk to the main strip, and even less to the beach, however we found that if you walked further along the beach to your left, the beach there was muh better, although it was a bit of a hike!!! The pool was excellant, not to busy, loads of free sunbeds and the snack bar was really nice too.

The only downside of the hotel was the breakfasts, I kept forcing myself to get up early in the hope that it would get better but unfortunately, it never, and unless you like huge crusty rolls and cold toast, you will be disappointed!!!! . Overall a fantastic holiday, great hotel, lovely staff- we would definately return!!!!!

Carrie B

Just back from 2 weeks in Zante, had a fantastic holiday, hotel was great, in really good location next to the beach and 5 minute walk to the restaurants. Good bar in the hotel, staff are very friendly and there is a good atmosphere. Rooms are basic but this is to be expected in greece. We never had air conditioning in our room so it was extremely hot at night, we did have a fan which was supplied by the hotel. I recommend taking a mosquito plug for your room and remember mosquito spray you will need it! Breakfast not worth getting up for, but snack bar by the pool is good. All in all really good holiday base and when we return to Zante we will return to this hotel.

John B

Great hotel. great location, great staff, especially Annasia (sorry about the spelling Annasia, e.mail me with the correct spelling)and the main reason I went to the bar so often.(honest!).Anyway forget Shipwreck cove, you provided the best view in Greece.

Pool is big enough and needed in the sweltering heat, plenty of sunbeds too.Rooms were clean but basic although adequate.Showers were brilliant. Met a lot of nice folk,(Andy from Ebely, what a character)many return year on year to this hotel.

Anyway I probably will be one of them now. Keep up the good work.

Carolyn G

Kalamaki's a good resort for families and couples. There's plenty going on and there's a cashpoint!
Denny's Inn is a really nice hotel with a good pool and decent sized rooms. There are large fans provided in each room but it still gets pretty muggy! Make sure you get one of those anti-bug plugs- we did and spent 2 weeks nearly bite-free! Breakfasts are a little limited though. If you like bread you're ok.
Location is perfect- 5 mins from the beach which is great for swimming, 10 mins from main street.
We spent most our time in the Drunk Corner Bar on the Main Strip- very friendly staff and the best air conditioning around!
Don't go on the Athens trip- it's a dump!

Tony K

RE: gemma butler and natasha barrett: just to answer your questions, there is air con , but its still gets very hot at night, but you can hire fans just around the corner, if you drink enough you wont notice(ha ha). the restuarants and bars are first class, just a five minute walk up to the main drag, on the other side of the mountain is tslivi, couple of quid in a taxi, very nice as well, or if your the out door type walk over the mountain, we did , great experience, there,s about a dozen of us , from all over the uk arriving on the 17 july, have acold mythos waiting for me please, i garrauntee, you will live it there, if you see us please say hello. ps, your age group will love the down under bar, or laganas resort. see you all in 1 and a half weeks, bye.

Carl G

Are there any teenagers (16+) going at the start of October 03.

Darren M

YES I DO HAVE A LIFE!

Darren M

WHAT A HOLIDAY !!! 1st time to Greece and I am sure we will be back again and again and again. Lovely weather ( although for my fairy liquid soft skin, maybe 2 lovely!), good location , great friendly staff, all in all a great time was had by us both. Gemma it is boiling.....but you do have a nice big yellow fan, but promise me one thing yeah, turn the switch "ON" and not onto the "TIMER" like I did for the 1st week there, because thats means you wake up every 2 hours to turn the damn thing on again. Don't know about hiring fridges Nat but the hotel does supply a fridge near the breakfast area. Now the beach is only 5 min away (if under 14 stone, unlike me), and there are plenty of places to eat, Mermaids, Olive Tree, Hera, Escape and Artemis just to name a few. Hotel entertainment is good.......

Monday = Quiz Night . Fantastic . Bev stop giving away the answers!!

Tuesday = Greek Night/Bingo . Never went on greek night but was told it was fun

Wednesday = Killer Pool!!

Thursday? = Turtle Society slide show . Sorry but this never interested me, so I dont know??

Saturday = KARAOKE!! Say hi to Ricky for me.(Watch out for them balls of fire!!)

Now by the time you go all this might of changed so...days correct as at 08 june '03 subject to status and change!

Now the only thing in need of improvement, is the morning breakfast! I needed a lot more to fill my stomach, but strangely enough you might get used to it. If anyone going to this great hotel needs anymore info, please e-mail me DarrenMcDowall@msn.com. I am only doing this to help people travelling here.

Gemma B

Hi

I am going to Dennys Inn on the 10th July 03. I am concerned as theres no air con, as I know it will be boiling, does anyone know if there are fans for hire in your room???

Would appreciate it if someone could let me know!!!

Thanks

Natasha B

Myself and my boyfriend (19 & 23) are going to be staying at Dennys from 13 July 2003 for 2 weeks. We'd be grateful if you could advise us whether you can hire fridges from the hotel. Also how far is the beach and what are the best restaurants to eat in that are situated around the hotel?

Thanks 4 your help, would love to hear from you if you are gonna be there the same time as us.

Steve H

What a superb place. Wendy & I went there for our honeymonn. Unfortunately, because of the MacFaddens, the Kearneys, Sean, Peter & the rest of the herd we didn't go to bed until it was getting light! Burnley & Coventry are crap (not very nice but a fact). Can't wait to see everyone, hopefully Bacardi Bob will be there.
The hotel is the best & Diaz is our recommended restaurant. Roll on the 17th July 2003..

Tony K

well here i am again, heaping yet more praise on denny,s inn, this is our 7th or 8th year on the trot and we make new friends every year and meet up with old ones. the locals on the island of zante are the friendliest i have ever met and i am well traveled, the climate is fantastic, the food and drink excellent(check out the local wines). if you like greek food, check out tesoro and dias, my two favourites,if you like the beach nice and quite , walk half way between kalamaki and laganas, you can have 500 yards of beach to yourself, if your a mad dog or an englishman try climbing mount skopos, its a fantastic view from the top, then at night sit and talk gibberish till five in the morning. i cant fault the place. hope to meet anyone new this july, all the best, tony karen and liam, ps. eh john ? im sure you will find its your round, tell him alison and kirsty

Kat

Firstly, for the people enquiring about location etc..

I went to Dennys Inn last summer with a friend - we found that the rooms were fine for what we wanted, a clean place to sleep at night, however, the weather was roasting and the rooms do not have air conditioning, which we found was the biggest fault - the nights were very hot and uncomfortable and when we opened the windows, the mosquitos bit every inch of me! grr

Similarly the heat in the day is very very hot in the peak of summer and we found it unbearable to go out much before 3 ish because it was just too hot! This was nice for sitting beside the pool, but remember your sun cream!

The nightlife in Kalamaki is ok, the main strip is a short walk up the road from Dennys Inn, and not far from the beach either. We spent most our time in the Down Under bar, there isn't a great number of places to go out in Kalamaki, but here they close at 4ish and serve great cocktails (if a little pricey) If you want more lively places, go to Laganas, which is a short taxi ride away, but make sure you agree your taxi fare beforehand coz they tend to rip you off if they can. Most of the bars here are pretty cool.

For the person who asked about turtle spotting, if you go down to Laganas, they will take you out in a boat and guarantee you will see turtles, which are amazing when you actually do! I'm not sure about hiring a private boat, but ask someone down by the port and they will tell you.

As for Denny's Inn : the place was nice, the people friendly and the food wasn't bad. We spent most lunchtimes in the pool bar, which had a fairly good selection, including a number of veggie options (which came in handy for m,e being veggie) Breakfast got a little boring (when we managed to get up for it) because they had a 4 day cycle of peaches, fried egg, cheese and ham, boiled egg... (yum!) The pool is nice and the bar isn't bad when you're not up for a wild one!

In general, I'd say; young people would enjoy it - your tour company will have lots of activities for you to do like bar crawls and cruises etc.. but shop around for the cruises!! In Laganas, people will try to sell you them, these tend to be a lot cheaper than the tour company's, so check out prices before you agree to there's!

Anyway, I've talked for long enough - sorry if I deviated from the point a little - but hope you found it useful! x

Stayed at Dennys Inn 4.5.03 to 18.5.03. Excellent friendly staff. Rooms kept clean and tidy and linen and towels changed regularly. Ideal location away from the town centre about 1km away and the same for the beach. Lovely pool and plenty of sun beds. Breakfast OK and snack bar good value throughout the day. Join in the quiz and greek nights plus the talk from the turtle society. Temperature when we went never below 80F during the day and 58F during the night, clear sunny days. Try the Mermaids for eating out, twice the menu of anyone else and for British fish and chips try the Lighthouse. Around the Island cruise is good value as is hiring a car for a maximum of 3 days. Best of all enjoy this beautiful island and its people.

Hi, myself (18) and my boyfriend (21) are looking to stay at Dennys Inn in the summer and i just wondered if anyone could tell me how easily accessible the nightlife is from Dennys? Also, is it suitable for young couples? What is the beach like? I like a nice sandy beach.
Thanx in advance

Darren W

What is the weather like in May as I am going 8th - 22nd May 03. Hope it's friendly as just me and 13 year old son going so hope to make some friends out there. Will we see turtles this early? Are there any other single parents going or am I going to be the odd one out?

Sue P

Hi Bev and staff ,we liked it there very much especially the kids. They loved Bev's killer pool which my son Sam won.He beat Bev and hopes to this year. The hotel and rooms are kept very clean very tidy. The only thing we found was that the beds are to hard. Also the key is needed to keep the electric on which is a problem as only one key.If one person goes to bed at night and others follow up later you have to find hotel porter\security to let you in.breakfast was a bit of a let down.no cereal just rolls cake eggs and toast.certain days you get ham and cheese.Overallhad a brilliant time see u this year

Denny's I

We are visiting Dennys Inn July 2003 and have a few questions:-

1. Has anybody got the eEmail address of Denny's?
2. Did anybody find a place to hire a fridge and did Denny's let you put it in your room?
3. Did anybody find a person who hired out a private rowing boat for 'Turtle Searching'?

Regards

Patricia G

We just got back from Dennys Inn Hotel yesterday October 22,2002. The weather was 104 degrees nearly every day. The only problem we found was that some of the restaurants had started to close up for the winter and the supermarkets had very bare shelves. We loved it!!

Roger T

Second time at Dennys, the place is excellent for a relaxing holiday. Nearest cash machine is at Laganas, for the benefit of a previous contributor. The staff are really professional and cannot do enough for you. We will return.

Kathy F

We've been to Denny's twice and love it BUT we're thinking of booking for October half term next year. Does anybody know what the weather's like in late October. Cheers

David C

Hotel was very good, clean rooms, Good base but the entertainment was quiz nights, karaoke and pool competitions (not my thing), local beach is not great, plenty of other good beaches would recommend you get a car and explore unless your idea of a holiday is sitting around a pool, Kalamaki is very British but plenty of good restaurants. Hotel could do with snack bar opening after 7.00.

Steve&ann S

We went to Dennys on our Honeymoon and was treated very well by Bev and the staff. Bev makes very good cockitails and put on entertement most nights. It is very close to the beach and only a five minute walk to the main strip. We went with JMC and did not find them very helpful at all, but thanks to Bev for telling us the best places to go.

Tony K

making the pilgrimage once again in 2003, to see the PROPHET YANI, MCFADDON and the rest of his disciples, im tony the yida, the wisest of the follewers, suki sean is the thughtful one whilst steveis the newcomer,(luton are crap), pete is the ram man from derby, along with our beautiful women followers, we try to drink the bar dry. we shall succeed, it is our holy grail, maybe when kirsty and the too liams and luke join the beer swigging , we shall triumph, .ps the quiz is far to easy for interlects like us, my very own quiz shall be the chosen one next year, see you all on the 19th of augusta, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Geoff S

Our second time at Dennys Inn and it was just as good. The kids time out on Sunday evening was greatly enjoyed by kids and parents. This was provided by the hotel not the tour operator. Thanks to all there especially Bev and Stuart for the quiz winners breakfasts!

Steve F

Got back from Dennys Inn on the 29th August it was the best holiday we have ever had we agree with other comments that they make you feel part of there family so much so we are going up to the travel agents today to re-booked for next year which is a 1st going back to the same place twice and have a strange feeling this is going to be our summer home for a long time to come and a big thank you to bev for making our stay so good.

Diane B

A clean and pretty Hotel in a good spot. Two minutes to the turtle beach in one direction, and about a five minute walk into Kalamaki in the other. Not much going on in the Hotel itself, but as the town is so close that didn't really matter. Breakfast not really worth getting up for (Bread, ham & cheese), but if you're willing to pay the four and a half euro's for the 'english breakfast' from the snack bar that was nice. Some nice restaurants in Kalamaki, Dias was nice but above all we'd recommend 'The Mermaid' for good food and good value though it's not a traditional Greek restaurant.

Christine D

Addition to comment below!! Amanda, my e-mail address is chrisdel@freenet.co.uk

Christine D

Returned from Denny's Inn on 12th August,my daughter, Emily and I had a super holiday. My only negative comments would be about the JMC organised excursions, especially the Sunseekers Trip. The description of the excursion was nothing like the reality, very poor value for money. Would recommend the hotel and would love to go back.If Amanda who was staying with her daughter, Natalie would like to get in touch since I didn't have the sense to get a phone no, I must have been relaxed !!!

Richard N

Our second time at Denny's Inn. Even better than last year, lovely staff and some interesting entertainment provided by Bev! We had a great time and would recommend this hotel to couples and families, safe, clean and fun. Hope to return in 2003. A word of caution though, if you go with JMC don't book any trips, a real rip off, much better to go into Kalamaki and book with a local firm.

John M

OH NO!!!! TONY,KAREN,LIAM,SHAUN, GEMMA,LUKE,LIAM,STEVE, WENDY,PETE,ELEANOR,ROB AND LESLEY----ALL RETURNING TO DENNYS INN NEXT YEAR,NOT FORGETTING DANNY AND SUE TOO! ALL AT THE SAME TIME AS US, WILL MY LIVER HOLD OUT?? HOW MUCH WILL A ROUND BE?? KEEP THE GIRLS OFF THE COCKTAILS !! AND WATCH OUT FOR CHEATING ON QUIZ-NIGHTS.

Paul B

Once again, we have stayed at Denny's, Why? because, this is the "Best" Hotel in Kalamaki,Freindly Staff, and a good location, with cleanliness, being a priority. Food is available, throughout the day, with a good Bar, and staff in the evening. Stuart, Carol, and Family, Spiro, Georgia, and Family, make you feel that this is your home, and that you are part of their Family. I could, and would, recommend this Hotel, to anyone wanting to go to Kalamaki for the first time. I know that my family and I will return for our third vist in 2003. Once again, "Thank You" Denny's. Yassou.

Debbie G

Visited Zante for the second time in May this year and spent 2 weeks at Dennys. It was so good we've already booked up for next year again. Staff excellent, decor good and everything immaculate. Pool very nice and great for adults and children. Food at pool bar really good as well and evening entrertainment is just right. Try the Greek Night, fab buffet. Thanks to Beverly and everyone else for making our stay really fab. See you all again next May. Debbie, David and Bradley Gowans

John M

WE HAD BETTER SEE YOU NEXT YEAR,KAREN,TONY AND LIAM,ITS YOUR ROUND AT THE BAR!!!!!AND YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME A CHANCE ON WINNING THE POOL KNOCKOUT BECAUSE LIAM BEAT ME IN THE FINAL AND HO YES TONY CAN SHAVE MY HAIR AGAIN AND DON'T FORGET THE MOUNTAIN CLIMBING TOO,WE ALSO NEED YOU FOR THE QUIZ NIGHT. Karen & Tony

This was our 6th time (we think) at Denny's Inn. Once again it was brilliant with lots going on for the Children and Adults. Bev is an excellent laugh at the Quiz and is a brilliant singer. All the staff are great. Weather wasnt too great this year but didnt spoil holiday at all. Met up with all our friends from previous years, as once you have been to Denny's you just want to keep going back. Might see you all next year!

John M

Simon W

This site has an Island guide that talks about Money Matters you can get to it from this link http://www.justzante.co.uk/zante/islandguide.htm#Money

Enid F

Booked to come to Dennys Inn Hotel in Sept but I don't like taking cash or cheques. Are there many cash machines nearby?

Tricia E

There are no fridges in the room or for hire, however, because we had a young child with us who needed a bottle each day, they very kindly let us use their Bar fridge. Incidentally, lovely hotel, very friendly, ideal position for the Beach and Town, far enough away to be quiet but near enough to enjoy. Made a lot of effort to keep you entertained in the evenings without going over the top, something for everyone - thanks to the team

Paul S

does anyone have a contact no./e-mail-fax to book direct? If not, what travel agents can I use to book a stay here??

Ross M

Went to Denny's Inn in October 2001 (Same time as Dave's post below). Loved it. Ill be back there. The rooms are very clean aswell as the bar and dining area. Located close to the beach and not too far out of the town but far enough out that you dont get all the noise. Would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to Zante. I was told about noise from the planes going over head but it isnt as bad as they make out.

Dave C

We stayed at Dennys Inn last October (2001), we being myself, my wife and Nathan our 12 year old son. I can safely say that this holiday was the best one we have ever had. All the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The food was superb and well presented. Beverly is marvellous and cannot do enough for you. (If you read this Bev, Hi from Dave, Sheila and Nathan). There are not enough adjectives to describe how good this hotel is and how much we enjoyed it. If you are undecided where to stay in Zante GO TO DENNYS INN.

Maxine W

is there any fridges for hire at the dennys inn hotel

Maxine W

Holly H

Rate this one, 10/10 with 5 *'s. Enjoyed our stay here thanks to Stuart(Siguros), Bev, Gina & the two very lovely ladies behind the reception. Place was always very clean, quiet & friendly. Cath F

We were at Denny's Inn for two fabulous weeks at the end of May/ beginning of June and absolutely loved it. Zakynthos is beautiful and everyone - Stuart, Spiros, Bev and Gina made us feel very welcome. Would particularly like to thank Gina for all those tequila sunrises and for making us laugh with 'trick or treat'. There were more than a few times, along with Louise and Ed, we were propping the bar up when it was time for Gina to go home. Don't know if we will be able to afford it next year, but we'll definitely be back soon, we hope. I heartily recommend this excellent, fun hotel.

Jonboy W

Mark D

We used this data base to gather information about hotels as we were due to book the Roseland. DO NOT GO TO THE ROSELAND, we saw people relaxing by the pool next to a 8ft high concrete wall to the sound of drills and hammering all day long! Thank god for Hotel Dennys, so friendly with a fantastic pool and just enough people to get to know rather than these huge complexes. Mermaids and Zepos were great and a visit to the Harvest Bar, which became our second home, is a must (Say hello to George and Denise!). A fantastic holiday which we will definatley return to.

Ron C

we had a great holiday after my dad died in may really needed some where to recharge our batteries and we definately had that at the dennys inn. we were so impressed that we hope to return with all our family next year. first class. love to all the staff. JAN & RON CORMACK, Hertfordshire. 16.8.01 to 23.8.01

Jan B

Hello folks, Just to let you know, we are coming back this year - 7th October 2001 - miss all the people, Stuart, Spiros and Bev and everybody, thought the place was ready for a second Broadbent visit. See you all there. Love Jan & Colin Broadbent

Jan B

Third visit over - feel homesick so we are coming back in June 2002 - heaven on earth with Stuart and Spiros and all their special staff, especially Bev - see you all soon - with such good food, accommodation and drinks flowing, and such good friends. Love Jan and Colin - Basingstoke

Hayley B

I went to Kalamaki 1998 and stayed at Dennys Inn. I was 19 at the time and wanted to stay somewhere quiet with nightlife nearby. Needless to say the hotel was so good that in two weeks me and my boyfriend never got to any clubs!! I can definitely recommend "Paulo's" for great food. We ate there every night for two weeks and the staff were lovely and gave us free drinks after our meal! I had no complaints about the holiday at all. The hotel, food, pool, staff, entertainment, beaches, excursions were all excellent.

Lynne A

The hotel is lovely and clean, and very much ideal for what everyone wants. Entertainment if you want it, and friendly atmosphere by all the staff, who go out of there way to be kind! When we go back to Zante - Denny's Inn is definately going to be our number one choice! Zante is a beautiful island with much to see and this hotel makes your relaxing times most enjoyable! Nicest place we've stayed so far!

Leona G

Fantastic holiday. Brilliant hotel on a lovely island. Staff and guests so friendly - can totally see why people go back year after year after year...... Totally chilled out and relaxing (for those of us not stupid enough to climb a mountain- you know who you are!!!!) We are definitely thinking about going back next year -I think we've found our home from home! Keep up the good work everyone.

Steve J

Our first stay at Denny's Inn, and definately not our last!!!! Great fun, great place to meet many new friends, a lot who are on their forth and fifth visits and still want to go back next year, we can tell why , we are considering it ourselves, it is so brilliant. The hotel is spotless, nothing is any trouble to any of the staff and you are made to feel very welcome.Great location for the beach and town. Just make sure you take your mosquito killer as they are not fussy where they bite you!

John M

Linda B

Stumpy, all rooms have fans, you'll need them!

Stumpy

Just a simple question, does the hotel have fans in the room or for hire????

Tony K

19/7/01 - 02/08/01 Another great 2 weeks here. Bev is brilliant at quizes, even gives answers before the question. All staff very friendly. Plenty to do (mountain climbing) or nothing to do (recovering by pool). Very clean and friendly hotel. Bars open as long as John Mcfadden is awake. See you all next year. Tony, Karen & Liam Kearney

Mark

First time to Zante and Denny's was great. Friendly atmosphere, safe pool with plenty of loungers, Rooms were basic but clean. The only criticism would be the very hard beds and NO air-conditioning. The room had an upright fan that was on a 2 hour timer, but during the night in high temperatures this was insufficient.

Fiona B

just got back - 4th year on the trot For complete relaxation and somewhere safe for the kids, Denny's inn is perfect. Friendly atmosphere with friends returning year after year. Excellent facilities for small hotel and fantastic staff - Beverley is brilliant - nothing too much trouble. Mermaids within 10 min walk!!!!

Jason W

i was worried about going to greece after hearing so many bad things about the accomodation etc, this hotel however was very good, the accomodation was very basic but extremely clean and very peaceful, its a good location not far (5 mins) to the beach and a short walk from the centre, a taxi (£4) to get to Lagagnas and all the hectic night life if thats your thing . we have just returned and are now planning our next holiday to go back, the crystal beach hotel which is about 300 meteres away is alos a very nice hotel with an excellent location right on the beach Jason & Rachel 05 July 2001

Joanne W

I am wanting to go to Denny's Inn in September. Can anyone tell me if kalamaki is too quiet then. Also does the hotel have a website or e-mail address. joanne

Sharon H

We have just got back from a two week stay and Denny's Inn and can not fault it. Very clean, nice pool and very friendly staff. Good location, there is building work but not that close to the hotel and you would not notice it really. It's the only place we have been that we would go back to and we did not want to leave.

Dave

Just got back after a great holiday. Dennys is a nice place to stay, good pool, plenty of sun loungers, very helpful staff. Agree with others comments about aircraft, it doesnt really affect the resort that badly, and you are gauranteed a quiet night!

Tony K

i allways said i would never visit the same place twice , but denny,s inn changed that, this is our 5th time on the trot and wont be the last , meet great people every year, staff absolutely superb, even andreas, serves us somtimes in middle of night(SHSSSSSS)its our secret, cant wait to see everyone again.p.s here is a childs comment. hi my name is liam i've been to greece five times starting from when i was 5 yrs old and every one of those yrs i've enjoyed myself! ps, maybe not behaved,

Mitch

Just got back from a wonderful week at Dennys. What a delight to see such high standards of cleanliness and friendliness, and a real pleasure to be able to come down to the pool at any time of the day and there were always plenty of sunloungers and parasols available (perhaps not the same in August ??? ) ( they have about 40 parasols permanently fixed around the pool !!!) Its about a 10 minute walk to some great restaurants....and about the same to the beach. The aircraft added to the pleasure of this hotel...it was beautiful to see them gracefully coming in over the sea to land....and all flights stop at night time. In response to John .."Can u help".....the nearest building work was about 500 metres away...and I only ever saw 3 guys working there..and at the speed and haste they were putting into it, I would think it might get noisy in about 2009 !!! Great place for a holiday, very relaxing, and strolls to the restaurants are down quiet roads until you get onto the main road.

I would like to say that the Dennys Inn Hotel is fantastic and the friendliness of the staff are second to none. Beverley works reception and she is just fantastic and Spiro and Stuart are super hosts. The bar is run by glamourus Gina who is realy great. Can't wait to be back next year.

A family run hotel where the staff are friendly and helpful. They had regular light hearted evening entertainment. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and close to the snack bar. Within easy access to town and beach. The aircraft didn't really affect our enjoyment of the hotel and any building work nearby wasn't noticed until we went for a walk away from the hotel.

Hi hope someone can help? I am staying at the Dennys Inn with my wife & 2 young children in August, I have been told that there is some building work being carried out close to the hotel that might disrupt our holiday. Is this correct?? Any comments appreciated.

Graham - Kalamaki has many good restaurants all over the resort, and recommending one or two would be unfair to the others. I would seriously recommend trying out different ones as they are all good!!! There is Aircraft noise during the days, but it is not intrusive.
