This was our first time to Zante in September and Daisy's appartments lovely place very relaxed and friendly people who run it, appartment basic but clean, Shipwreck island a must even though a bit of a journey, wish we were still there!
Hi we just come back from zante after a week. It was our first time and w loved it (going again in 18 months to get married there) The Daisy is really nice all the staff are friendly and the rooms are nice and clean although the maid did come in every day she didn't do much cleaning. All i have to say is that theres not alot of entertanment on at the hotel but apart from that the place is nice the location is excellent and the staff are friendle, i would recommend getting air con (6 euro's a night) and remember the electric goes off when u take ur key out of the little key holder thingy so the mozzie repellents dont work when ur not in ur room
Appartments clean and spacious. Typical of self catering accomodation in Greece. You will need to order air con, which is not included in brochure price. All staff at the pool bar are extremely friendly and helpful, they can't do enough for you. Lots of bars & restaurants close by all served excellent food . Trip to shipwreck cove is amazing & must not be missed. Also water park was great as queues for rides, max waiting time 15 mins.
We had a fantastic relaxing holiday here and will definitely come back again.
The rep from the coach showed us to our room at 5.30am and left. Greek property is basic. The kitchen crockery and cutlery had been put away filthy, the bathroom not very clean a bit of bleach would not have gone amiss. The beds were very rickety, mould above the skirting boards. Bed linen and towels changed twice a week, but the room was never cleaned or swept through. Best advice keep something on your feet after showering otherwise your feet will be black within seconds.
If you are a cat lover then this is the place for you, cats are everywhere, so if you are not a lover then one word of advice keep your doors closed otherwise you will have a lovely mess!!
There is air conditioning but you will have to pay 60 Euros for a week.
On your return journey if your flight is not until 6am and your pick up is 3.15am then you will have to be out of your room by 12 noon, you will then have to find alternative accommadtion for the next few hours as there are no courtesy rooms apart from a shower in the bar with no lock on the door! The bar closes around 12.30 - 1.30am so I don't think you would like to sit in the dark!!
Marlene and her children kept the bar and pool area very clean, so Marlene very well done!!
me and 3 of my friends are staying this july 8th just woundered whats its like, isit close to beaches? isit more family orienatated? close to nightlife? beach? shops? and i wundred if u could put more pictures up of the resort
really excited and i hope we have a lovly stay c u then and i will report back
Hi all! Hope you have a great season this year! We won't be going to Zante this year but hopefully we'll be back staying at Daisys again next year - gonna start saving asap!!
Thought i'd send on a few pics from our holiday last year which was fantastic!! Hope to see you all in 2009!!
hated these apartments when we arrived i had to sweep out the previous occupants mess. the rooms were not cleaned properly. they were also very damp and we spent most nights putting on damp clothes.
it took a week for them to sort out the dirt problem and the staff always seemed to be arguing amongst themselves. the next week the cleaner slipped back to her old ways and the room just felt dirty. there is no maid service on a saturday not even to empty the bins and for those who don't know in zante you cannot flush your toilet roll it has to go in the bin. this was left from friday morning untill some time on sunday with no provision for us to even empty it ourselves. this may have been ok if there was just two of us. but there were five of us using one small bin. not good enough i have been to kalamki 7 times before staying at many apartments and hotels without complaint. i love kalamaki and the greek people but i i can not recomend the daisy apartments.
the pool bar one the other hand is a different story marlen and her family are all lovely and very heplful. just a shame they dont have anything to do with the apartments as they were always cleaning.
This is our first time to Zante & we're staying at Daisy Studios in early Oct and cannot find any maps or directions as to where in Kalamaki they are. Can anyone tell us, or at least where they are close to? Also, what's the weather like at this time of year (7/10 - 21/10) and will we need coats at night? Many thanx. Donna & David.
Just arrived home from Daisy studios and it was very sad to say the least to come away.
Very well looked after apartments and well situated for the night life and beach.
The new family in charge of the pool and bar can not do enough for you! Hit it off as soon as we arrived had a great fortnight and Dennis even carried our case to the coach at the end of the hol!!
Food very good as well, with excellent choice and value for money Greek night a must!
Very close knit complex with all british guests, met some great people and sat around the bar late at night chating and having a laugh
Looking forward to going again in the near future, good luck with the bar Marlene and hope you do well as you all deserve it!!
We returned from our our stay at Daisy last week and just wanted to say what a fantastic time me and my family had. Dennis, Mylene and Arietta, staff running the pool bar were all lovely, helpful and made us feel really welcome. I would definately stay there again if I went back to Kalamaki, which is also lovely. We were really sad to have to go home
