We stayed in Sirocco for a week, the beginning of August '09. We had a room in the annex part of the hotel. The room was basic, but clean and confortable. Aircon and fridge were not included in the price, but needed in the August heat Hotel grounds were kept very nice, and the pool area, lovely. Nikos in the poolside bar was so nice, and we enjoyed a cool beer under the shade in the late afternoon, listening to chill out music. The beach is just down the road, and the bars and restaurants in the new and old strip area, less than 10 min walk. All in all a nice hotel in a great location.
Stayed for a week in May - accommodation in annexe was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location quiet and very close to the beach town and restaurants.
this is a message for Gaby and Caroline from Sverige(!) that were there last July, really would like to hear from you!!!! You emailed us and I`ve replied a few times, try me on ultrasound@supanet.com
Just had to say a few words about the sirocco.Been there last three years on the trot, what can i say. Superb hotel, very friendly staff(except for nikolas)only joking niko!. Food fantastic, rooms very clean and comfortable, all staff very willing to help. Nicos hope your ski classes went well over the winter, and hope your english is coming on well, also hope wife and kids are well. Best wishes from, "SLANJA".....(IAN & HEATHER)
First time for me in the Sirocco, the hotel is very clean and the rooms cleaned on a daily basis. The reception girls are very pleasant, the food and drink prices very good for poolside snacks. It is a mix of several European countries but there aren`t many sunbeds so with there being a lot of Germans there.........best buy a lilo and rest on the grass as you won`t get a sunbed unless you`re up at 7 am! I was very pleased with the hotel, aircon is a real bonus and well worth a little outlay for. For the first time in Greece I had unbroken sleep every night as it was cool and quiet.
The only slight downer is one of the afternoon staff who took offence to us chatting to two Swedish girls he had an eye on, the girls passed the comments back and we were offended with what he had been calling us, but I would certainly use the hotel again!
just got back from 2 weeks at the sirocco and cant say we were at all disappointed...didnt need to use the air con. as the rooms seemed quite cool at night anyway-anyone else find that??(it wasnt a cold holiday!)always smiley people at the reception (they were even smiley at 4.30 when we came in!bless em) perfect location-not too far away from anything-especially costas-we went there 8 yrs ago and have been stayin elsewhere every other year since-always go back, and they always rememeber us...love em !the maid was greeat at sirocco too-thumbs up!
Thanks to Maria and the hotel staff for a lovely holiday. The hotel facilities were superb and the lunch menu and service were excellent. See you again next May.
thanks for the info sue. we've stayed in kalamaki three times already and this is the first time we've managed to get into our first choice hotel. 5 weeks and counting...mikaelos and apollon bar here we come !!!
Just got back from 2 weeks in Kalamaki at the Sirocco. I thought the hotel was perfectly placed. Just a 5 minute dawdle to the beach and about a 10 minute dawdle to the busier main street in uptown Kalamaki - so the rooms were very quiet. Air conditioning was avaialble in the rooms (we paid 84 Euros for 2 weeks - but there were 3 of us so it worked out £10 per person per week - well worth it!)as was a fridge and TV. Hotel was not just full of English people, a mix of Dutch, Italian, German and others I couldn't quite figure out... We went B&B, breakfasts were basic - don't expect a full english! They have snack menu for lunch, not sure what they did on an evening. Let me know if you want to know more!
if anyone can give info. on air conditioning charges for the sirocco and any other helpful info ie. what are the rooms and breakfasts like etc, it would be greatly appreciated.
