Accommodation in Tsilivi

Mark M

we stayed at the daisy from the 15th to th 29th may,the room we had was ok but a bit on the small size, the room was cleaned every day .we agree with what has been said about bill (slimeball)and ken was full of sh*t and a dirty p**v the worst barman i have ever met , the bar could have been really nice with the right staff. appartments in good location 5 minute walk from centre, the owners were all ok and loved my son they made a fuss over him everytime they saw him, all in all a really good holiday .

hi ya to the geordies hope you enjoyed the extra week with the kids jackie ha ha ha, glad to hear yvonne is home and on the mend ,hiya to the lucky scousers, louie says hi to chloe jessica and isabelle.

Pam S

We stayed at the Daisy Apartments from 22 May to 5 June.  After reading all the negative comments I was truly worried what we would find especially as I was taking all the family to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday.  I need not have worried.  We all had a great time and everyone was very friendly, helpful and made our holiday go with the swing.  The apartments are just the right distance from the centre - you don't get the evening noise - and the beach is only 5 minutes away with a shop right next door.
For anyone who likes walking turn right out of the complex and you can walk into Zakynthos - it is 5km. It is only that first bit of a hill and then it is all on the level. We did this a couple of times and caught the bus back - bus costs 1 euro. At Daisy Toula (good cooking), Bill (lovely G&T), Damitri, Astrit, Grandad all made us very welcome.
Our two grandchildren, Charlotte and Phoebe, were thoroughly spoilt by everyone and they say hi to all their friends they met.
Good to hear Yvonne is on the mend and now back in the UK.  Terry did miss you.
Re the query on swimming nappies you will need to take some but my daughters actually used the reuseable ones as these do the same job as the disposable ones.  They took both types but the reuseable ones worked out cheaper in the long run.
Re the noisy pond life query - we were told that they were green tree toads but we never managed to see them either.
For anyone going to Daisy - enjoy yourselves and we would have no qualms about booking there again.

We have just got back from daisy, and beforehand were also concerned about negative comments on the internet, but there are always two sides to any story. Some people seem to whinge about anything. We had to wait 10 minutes to see the rep one day, cos some guy was going on and on about having to hire a kettle.Come on mate, you're on holiday and if you're that tight then boil the water in one of the saucepans provided. We had a great time there, and stayed in one of the new rooms which was spotless and had aircon if needed. Some people were moaning about there being no fitting in the shower for the shower head. So what? Get someone to hold the shower for you, its much more fun. Only minor gripe was that our room faced a stream alongside the hotel, and the local wildlife make a real racket at certain times during the night. We never found out if they were ducks, frogs, or whatever, but as the stream was there before the hotel they have every right to be there. If you've never been to Greece before, make allowances for plumbing, pavements, buses, roads, etc, etc, etc. Most Greeks are brilliant people and although they want your money as much as anyone else, they relieve you of it with charm and friendliness. So go and enjoy, but if you want the Ritz then go somewhere else. Also, even if you are not religious, try and take a look inside the church of St Dennis in Zante town, its amazing. If you're really lucky, you might also hire the same taxi as we did. The driver with a death wish sang opera all the way back to Tsilivi at what seemed like 140 m.p.h. Priceless.

We have just returned from the daisy hotel after a wonderful weeks holiday and i must stress that you must not be put off by any negative comments on this site. The hotel  is spotlessly clean, well run ,has everything you need, rooms are basic but cleaned every day , has a fabulous pool & pool bar. The staff are pleasant and very helpfull especially astritt on reception (lovely guy). only 5 mins walk to the beach ( mango beach bar highly recommended, lovely cocktails) also only 5 mins walk to the town centre, where you'll spoilt for choice, tavernas, sports bars, cocktail bars  & shops. try mambo cocktail bar for cheapest cocktails (only 3euros) mmm lovely!! try the traditional greek foods they are out of this world. The beach is georgeous and safe for kids of all ages, for snorkelling try the alexandra beach at the far end of tsillivi beach or if you're more adventurous try a scuba dive at st nicholas beach dive centre, the dive instructors were fantastic with us - well worth a try!! and the beach is georgeous plenty of water sports. we will definately be back at the daisy in the future. anybody going to the daisy will find it is an ideal base from which to explore the wonderfull island of zante.YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED

We had a fabulous holiday at the Daisy last year and met some wonderful friends. So much so we are all heading back at the end of August and taking along a few more friends!!!!

So to the friends of 2004... Ian, Carol, Tracy and Karen can't wait to see you all again. Christine & Dave who are joining us from the Isle of Wight, and also to Karen's Mum and Dad we look forward to meeting you all and having loads of fun.

YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME

PS. Is there anyone else that was there at the very end of August into September going back this year? It would be great to hear from you.

Debbie B

My husband & I and our 9 month old daughter Isabelle stayed at the Daisy Studios in the last 2 weeks of May. I was really concerned before we went because of the negative comments and would have changed accommodation if I could. I'm glad I didn't because we had a lovely holiday. The studios are clean and well maintained and there's maid service 6 days a week. Our room was by the Reception and the family who owned it could get a bit loud sometimes but apart from that they were very friendly, especially towards our daughter. Astrit on Reception is really helpful and pleasant. In answer to some of the questions posted, there are safety deposit boxes, payable locally; I would buy swim nappies before you go (I didn't see any over there); we bought a little boat (about 6 euros) for our daughter to have her bath in (and she played in the pool too!). One thing I thought was a bit off was you had to pay 5 euros per week to hire a kettle. The resort is lovely and there's lots of places to eat to suit all tastes. The waiters were brilliant with Isabelle. One place I would recommend to eat is Sweet Revenge. It's on a side road but well worth the deviation. The owners, Margaret (an Aussie) and her husband Daniel (Greek) make you feel like old friends and the food is 1st class and really reasonably priced. We went back there several times and will go back again when we holiday in Tsilivi again.

A message to Yvonne and her husband - so good to hear that you are ok and that you were treated well over there. We were all very concerned about you.

To Sheryll, please say hello to Jessica & Chloe for us and give them a big kiss from Isabelle. Tell Chloe I hope she's keeping up with the swimming!

Sheryll H

got back 29th may had fabulous time wish we had been in new part of the daisy hotel!. Astrit on the reception was really helpful throughout our stay. Bar snacks were really good value for money and Bill was a ray of sunshine in both the daisy and the camelot where he works on an evening. Beach only 5 mins away and centre only 10 min walk  Pleased to hear Yvonne is doing well after her accident and my grandchildren Jessica and Chloe send their love.

Helena W

Oh my God. So did you have to stay in Zante and have an operation or something? What happened about your hubby in terms of accommodation, you know because you were supposed to have been flying home? Hope you feel better soon.

Take care,

Helena.

Yvonne T

In reply to the question about Ted - he no longer works there every day, but he plays guitar there on Saturday Nights, with his friend Andy.  He has been replaced by Bill, a very helpful young man.
Ken has also moved on and he has been replaced by Nicco, another helpful young man.
Toula is still there and cooking up a storm.

We enjoyed our stay here, (our second stay at the Daisy) until I slipped on the pool bar steps and managed to break my leg, the day before we were due to return home.  Everyone was brilliant and the ambulance was there in minutes.  Everyone was so kind to my husband during my 7 day stay in hospital and I was greeted like royalty on my return from the hospital.  During the following days, all of the staff were so helpful and considerate, especially when it came to getting me on and off the premises, as I am a large person and my wheelchair left much to be desired.

Despite my accident, we hope to return to the Daisy next year.

Heading off to Daisy in July.  Can anyone tell me if they have safety deposit boxes.

Jill K

Can anyone tell me if I will be able to buy swimming nappies for an 18 month old in Tsilivi, or will we need to buy them her and take them with us.

Gary E

In reply to Lindsay, The town centre is about 5-10 min walk and the beach 3-5 you can see the sea from there, You'll have a fantastic time great place, Ted behind the bar is a star.

In reply to Sally, Our little girl was 2 when we took her, There are showers but you stand in like 6" tub so you can fill that up for your little one, Great place to go with kids is the Red lion, Big play area

The Daisy is beautiful place we have been there last two years

Hope you both enjoy your holidays

Lindsay R

Can anybody help, we are staying at the Daisy Hotel in July and wondering how far away it is from the main centre and the beach.  Thanks Lindsay.

Helen C

Excellent to hear all the great comments about Daisie Studio's. We are going in August and taking our one year old son. It has just dawned on us there is only showers in the apartments. Does anybody know if there are any facilities for a bath for young children. If not a paddling pool in the bottom of the shower is looking like a great idea. Cheers Sally

Joanne P

ive just returned from the daisy studios in tsilivi and went with my mates nicky and jenny and jennys daughter steph. what a fantastic time we all had. the apartments are clean and very comfortable although we did have a few problems with the shower. we needed a dinghy to go into the bathroom if you didnt get the first shower. apart from that, excellent. the family that own it were always friendly, although dimitris the owners husband did seem to have a jealous petty streak when we all got talking to Joe, Jack and Mick that we met. he didnt like it after flirting with us for the first 2 days.

the pool is fantastic, always cleaned every night and the pool bar is by far the best that ive ever seen in greece. excellent food by Toola, and Ted the barman...what a star! hes the nicest, most genuine, caring barman that ive ever come across. he made us feel so welcome. nothing was too much trouble for him and he always had a good morning for us all and lots of patience when we ordered combinations of food that werent even on the menu!
we had the time of our lives and havent laughed so much in ages, especially with Jack testing our ability of cockney slang rhymes!! we know them all now Jack!!
Personally, i met a lovely man called Joe, a sicillian now living in East Barnet. Overall, excellent hotel, excellent area, excellent staff and we met some great people who made our holiday the best!!
we'll deffinetley return to the daisy, hopefully this year!
love to everyone we met, especially Jack, Mick and of course Joe Tagliarini. keep in touch guys!!

is ted still working at the daisy

Fiona M

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Daisy Apartments in Tsilivi and I have to agree with the Sarah Thompson, who must have been there when we were (just returned home on 15th May).  The apartments for us were very good, we received maid service almost every day and fresh towels about three times a week.  The owners and staff always greeted us with a friendly smile and I noticed no grumpiness atall.

The beach is only 5 minutes away and the town is only 10 minutes away, although it took me longer as I had dodgy knee!

The black dog is great for escorting you everywhere and for telling those motorists who are going too fast to slow down and Flopsy the golden coloured dog was lovely too.

Ted, behind the bar during the day is a pleasure (he plays guitar at Roscoes on a Wednesday night - top end of town) but Ken (as I was lead to believe was his name) is actually known as b******t Ken and I do have to agree with Sarah on that one!!  However, he does speak the language and will book you a taxi from behind the bar if you ask him.

All in all, the apartments, location - everything was superb and I also do not understand where all the negative comments which concerned me before arrival have come from, I can only imagine that those people see negatives in everything.

One lady did get her handbag stolen on the way back from town one night so I suggest that if you can manage without one that you do, such a shame as those few youths could ruin the islands reputation, I hope they get their punishment one day and that lady and her husband still managed to enjoy the rest of their holiday.

Love to Tony and Julie who we met over there - see you soon xx

Sarah T

My Husband, daughter and I have just returned from an amazing holiday in Tsilivi. Before we went out there, I had read all the negative comments about the Daisy Apartments, and I must say I was very concerned and worried at what we were going to find. I cannot do anything but praise the apartments and the resort, The apartments were very clean with towels and sheets been changed twice in the week,  The family were friendly although without being too familiar. Most people would say that The Daisy is quite basic, but if you are used to self catering then this standard is good for Greece standards.

This is a excellent place to stay and I would recommend that you do not worry too much about all the dreadfull comments that Helena posted in earlier in the year, as did I causing me nothing but unecessary worry before we went away. All in all our Holiday was Excellent value for the money and I couldnt expect more from the great holiday we had.

Just one last thing though, if Ron the barman is still working there, when its your holiday take everything he says with a pinch of salt, not a word this man says is true. He gave all the guests some great entertainment with his B******t storys. Ha Ha. Anyone reading this whos met him will know exactly what I mean.

James and I send our love to all of the great, wonderfully funny people we met whilst in Tsilivi, our ribs are still aching from all the laughing we did. XXX

Natalie D

Hi Could anyone tell me if they provide things like toilet roll & bath towels? It says in the broucher to not expect these. thank you Nat

Helena W

Hi Donna, i am sorry that you have had to read some of the negative comments on here about the daisy. Yes we did have a bad experience with the owners of the complex because of the poorly maintained accommodation. However, that was 5 years ago, and according to some of the recent visitors to this site, this has changed since we went.

I haven't got a problem with people disagreeing with the fact that the owners were very rude. If others found them ok, then fair enough. What i do disagree with and what above all angers me most is folk that come on here and say things like ''a smile and a bit of greek language works wonders'', and if you show a little respect for them, you get it in return. I go to Tsilivi every year, and many of the greek locals are my closest friends. I have a lot of respect for the locals i know, and if you were to ask them about me, they would tell you that i am a very friendly and out going person who will bend over backwards to help anybody. Before some folk on here judge me, they should try clicking on the link under my name of other comments i have made on places in Tsilivi and let them see how many places i have commented negatively on. I think they will find that there are no others.
Donna, go to Tsilivi and have a wonderful time. Like i said, things may have changed over the past 5 years. The complex itself was very clean and it is in a lovely location. Tsilivi is absolutely wonderful and at the end of the day, the appartments are only there for sleeping in and showering. You will have a great time in Tsilivi and do please let me know how you got on.

Donna I

Add your comment here..IAM GETTING VERY WORRIEDI HAVE BOOKED A 2 WEEK HOLIDAY AT THE DAISY APARTMENTS FOR 10TH JULY ..I HAVE BEEN READING ALL OF THE COMMENTS MADE AND CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ALL VARY SO MUCH DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE APARTMENTS HAVE AIR CONDITIONING NOW ,THE RESORT CENTRE SOUNDS LOVELY ITS THE APARTMENTS IM A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT COULD ANYONE PUT MY MIND AT EASE THAT HAS BEEN LATELY.

Phil B

Has anyone stayed at the following: Blue bay studios, Alikanas. Andonis studios, Alikanas. Garden village, Kalamaki, any comments appreciated, good or bad ! Thank you.

Helena W

speak a few words of greek and the owners are fine? I speak fluent Greek - being half greek myself (hence my name). No, the owners were not fine, and according to this message board, mine is not an isolated case either. You want to try learning more greek, and you will discover just what the miserable owner and his daughter have to say about the Brits behind their backs, after being nice and sweet to their faces. I had them sussed from the begining you see, being able to understand Greek myself, i was able to confront the old codger about calling somebody's little girl a fat British F...er in Greek. Yes i did confront him, and yes he did get the biggest shock of his life when he realised i spoke Greek, but that was no way to speak of an innocent child, whether she could understand him or not, and i made damn sure i told him so too.

Dianne F

Please do not be put off by negative comments. We were apprehensive due to some earlier comments, but they were all soon put to rest. We had a fabulous time at Daisy apts. If you show respect you get respect. All it takes is a friendly greeting and you will find the family will acknowledge you. This is your HOLIDAY... relax and enjoy it. Don't listen to others, do it your way.
We enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back again this year and we can't wait.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Anthony P

we went there last year & it was great.
all you need do to is speak a few words of greek & the owners are fine. the apartments are clean the location is fine the beach is only a short walk away.the town center is only down road.
ted behind the bar & tony were great.
we liked it so much we are going back this year.
dont worry you will have a good time.

Hi everyone!! me and my boyfriend are going to zante this year!! however we have the choice of this hotel or the "Georgia apartments" in tsilivi also! has anyone who's been there know what both of these are like? could you recommend us one?? much appreciated!

Helena W

To Steve Vincent,
I absolutely agree with your comments about daisy studio's. I was begining to think that it was only myself who found the family to be rude. We were there back in 2000, so obviously nothing has changed. We found the rooms to be very poorly maintained, but from what i can gather there has been an improvement on that score. As for the cleanliness of the place, i have to agree that they were very clean. The only gripe i had was with the broken locks and patio and also the attitude of the owners - mainly the old geezer and the daughter. various people have mentioned to me that a so called 'smile and friendliness'' towards the owners goes a long way. The only thing i would say to this is that, i have been to Tsilivi 4 times over the past 4 years and have never experienced any problems with any other Greek people, both before and after our experience with the daisy folk. I think that definitely says something. I do always make a point of being friendly with people and above all i respect the fact that i am in their country. What i am NOT however, is anybody's fool, and i cannot abide devious folk who hide behind a friendly smile. Stealing tips that have been left for the maids is the pits. Those owners must make a fortune, and those maids get a pittance of a wage - probably out earning in order to feed their kids. It stinks.
Steve - i loved your comment about grandpa's cattarh moving exercises. I think the reason why the old geezer and daughter didn't like me was because i had them sussed after the first day. Like i said i am nobody's fool, and you don't sound like you are either.
We will be returning to Tsilivi again because we love the place, but we will continue to give the daisy a wide berth. The admirals hotel here we come.

Glennys E

We returned on 10.10.04 from a 2 week stay at the Daisy Studios having had a superb holiday there. Our studio was cleaned every day and clean bedding and hand and bath towels were provided every three days. One big bonus (as anyone used to holidaying in Greece will appreciate) was the constant hot water at any time of the day or night. We found the staff helpful and very keen to please. The owners spoke very little English and we speak very little Greek, but a smile and sign language work wonders. Our room at the back of the hotel was quiet (apart from noises made by inconsiderate English guests early mornings/late nights). We thought the position of the studios ideal - an easy 10 minute stroll from the centre of Tsilivi, and 5 minutes from the beach. We will definitely be returning to the Daisy Studios and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Jeff J

My wife, her sister and husband have also just returned after a week at the Daisy and we pretty much agree with Steve's comments.I found mama and papa quite funny although papas' snorting under our balcony while we were eating our breakfast was'nt very funny! They always had a smile and a 'yassou' when you spoke to them,I even had my photo taken with them behind the bar after my guest appearance with Ted and Tony's guitar night( I do apologise to all you unfortunate guests who witnessed it!).The Daisy itself is really nice,I have given it a poor rating on quietness due to guests who get up early and make sure everyone else wakes up by slamming doors and moving furniture. Also one particular couple two doors down with a two year old boy, who they allowed to make as much noise as he wanted while they ignored him.If you are reading this,he may be the centre of your world, but not ours!Have some consideration for other guests!Apart from that, it was a great holiday.

Steve V

Having returned from Zakynthos today after a two week stay at the Daisy, I have to add the following comments much in support of what Jim has written. Although the apartments are far better, cleaner and much better maintained (Sheets and towels changed 5 times in two weeks), compared to where we normally stay just over the bridge. I do have to say that the Greek family at Daisy are doing themselves no favours. Our friends were in the next apartment to us and left a tip there for the two cleaners, one handed the key in at reception having left their partner in the room to check all was ok... Only to have one of the daughters enter the room and remove the tip! I left our tip with Ted at the bar to ensure the girls got it.
Also the ignorance of the family in the bar in beyond belief, Mama sits there as far from the TV as possible to watch it. If you strike up a conversation with anyone across the tables, she grabs the remote and turns up the volume!
I wouldn't advise anyone not to go there as overall it is a far better place than many others in the same price range but do be prepared for these things as described, as well as Papa's nasal catarrh movment exercises in the mornings!

Jim K

We decided to return to the DAISY APARTMENTS,where we had a smashing time 3 years ago, after a disastrous holiday in Bulgaria last year.
We would certainly go back to Tsilivi again, loved it! To the Daisy - NEVER. Tony & Ted were great. The Family were terrible.
A place like this cannot be run by committee, the family of about 10, everyone wanting a finger in the pie. It was terrible coming back from town on a night, for a night-cap with other guests, and having the grandfather & grandmother(the wicked witch)just sitting watching everyone.
We were on the ground floor of the original block, next door to the cleaners stock cupboard and it was not very pleasant being woken every morning at 7.45am by the wicked witch going into the cupboard, and every 5 mins after this, for things for the cleaners. They were not even allowed to get their own things. She kept all the keys for the complex to herself and on our final day, breakfast was nearly an hour late because she would not come out in the rain, so Ted could not get in the kitchen.
To cap it all, she was then seen going into the apartments of the guests who had left, and taking all the toiletries etc.,and also the small monetry tips, which had been left for the cleaners. Be warned!

Sarah M

Sorry, in my haste to add comment left everything average and it wasn't!!!

Sarah M

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Daisy and have had a fantastic time. Took our 16 month old with us and the staff could't have been nicer. The cleaners all work hard and made an effort with Bruce's cot, making it nice and arranging little things in it. Ted behind the bar was great and Toola the cook was the best on the island. The family weren't the friendliest but it could have been worse. The rooms were basic but that's Greece! Will definetly recommend the Daisy.

Peter S

Me and my Wife have just returned from the Daisy Studios. Having read some of the comments that people have placed on here about Daisys we were both concerned at what me might find. We needn't have worried. We had the most fantastic hoilday. Met some nice people along the way. Ted and Tony who ran the pool bar were brilliant. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Yes there was only one toilet roll provided but I wouldn't let that cause me concern as there is a shop next door. Me and the Wife had great fun winning the weekly quiz that Tony did one evening. Our prize was one of his lovely cocktails each. Ted and Tony's guiter night was good fun to. The Greek family were ok. They can't speak a lot of English. The Grandad would always stick his hand up to acknowledge you. Holidays are there to chill out, not go round moaning all the time and finding faults. We would certainly go back. Thanks Daisy's and Tsilivi for a wonderful time.

Dianne F

We have just returned from a fabulous two week holiday at Daisy Apts. After reading previous reports we were unsure as to what to expect. How wrong we were to worry. It was great. Ted and Tony went out of there way to help you. Thanks guys. The apartments were basic but cleaned on a regular basis by the hard working team of cleaners. The only comment I would make about the family is that they need to get together and select two people to manage the apartments and for the rest to stay in the background after all too many cooks spoil the broth!!
The walk into the resort was only about 5 minutes stroll and you get escorted by a four legged traffic cop!! in the form of a black dog. He chases all the cars he believes are going too fast! Scary first time we saw this but he was protecting us!!
Nice restaurant to try is Manos Grill, freshly cooked food served by very friendly staff. Also Koukos restaurant on a Wednesday or Sunday night for Greek night is great fun.
We met a lot of great people there during our stay 29 Aug - 12 Sept. Hi to you all and thanks for a fantastic holiday. It was great to meet you all. A special hello to Ian & Carol, Lisa, David & Ellie, Val & John and Adam, Lisa & Wee Addison (you were fab wee man) and also to Lisa'a parents celebrating their Ruby Wedding, congratulations.
We are already looking at booking for next year at the Daisy so see you in 2005 folks. Can't wait.

Mark E

I was pleasently surprised with the Daisy Apartments, you could always get a place by the pool, what ever time you turned up.The pool was always clean and kept tidy.Ted's local knowledge (the barman) was spot on and really helpful. I never once come across anyone grumpy or offish. It was a chilled out place. The rep was always there when he said he would be.
On the down side i'm a light sleeper and was woken by the traffic on the main road, and once by a man who had TB/smokers cough.

Jeff J

My wife and I are going to the Daisy at the begining of October and I'm most concerned about some of the comments on this site,I have even tried to change accommodation but Kosmar say it's too late so we are stuck with it.Has anybody just returned from there?

Shelley A

We had a faboulous time at Daisy apartments - the rooms were cleaned every day apart from the towels and sheets. I think they dont change the towels if they are not out - dont think they will root through your things looking for them.
The bar staff was brill, fotis an all round nice guy, Tony - the man to see for info and a nice strong drink and Ted was TED!!
The pool is cleaned every two days but we will advise you not to try and jump in off a plastic chair like Neil did and it broke!!!
The restaurants were the best food we had eaten especially the golden lion and camelot - mmmmm! Go to Gyroland for the best kebabs only E1.80!!
We met sone brill people out their - Matt, Kelly, Trevor, Marion, Kevin, Paul, Kyle, Liane, Christine, Josh and Andrew!!
Overall would definitely go back and do it all over again - as they ay your holiday is what you make it....

Mark & Gill

Just returned from a Week's holiday at the Daisy Studios in Tsilivi. From the outside the apartments and pool look lovely. However, the room (or cell as we called it)was extremely disappointing and dirty. As per the previous comments we also found the owners extremely intimidating and rude, and allow their own children to run riot with blatant disregard for their paying guests.

Do take a couple of toilet rolls with you as we were advised they only give out 1 per week!?!?!

Tsilivi is an adequate resort if you are looking for a mini Blackpool. Food is probably some of the worst we have ever eaten in Greece and we found a lot of it to be processed (even the so called local Greek Dishes), which is not usually the case when sampling the normally mouth watering Greek cuisine.

However, we did manage to find the fantastic LJ's which serves the best English breakfast we have ever tasted and is definately worth a visit, this can be found on the main street.

Graeme & Zoe

Thanks for your help Karen! We can look forward to the holiday even more now! :-)

Karen G

Hi

Lucky you going to Tsilivi next month. There shouldn't be a problem buying food etc as there are two decent supermarkets in the town. Also, you are only a short bus/taxi ride from Zante Town which is the major town on the island. Aslo, to help with the worrying, there is a 24 hour surgery in Tsilivi, it's towards the end of town near the Paradise Bar and the Calypso Bar. Have a good time.

Graeme & Zoe

We are going to Tsilivi at the end of September with our 10 month old. Just wondering how good the shops are for baby stuff (including food). If anyone can help we'd appreciate any information!

Sarah R

READ YOUR COMMENTS KAREN ABOUT THE HOLIDAY AT DAISY. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WERE REALLY SUPER AND I SHOULD IMAGINE THE DAISY FAMILY WOULD FIND IT REALLY DIFFICULT NOT TO BE FRIENDLY TOWARDS BETH AS SHE IS ONE HELL OF A SWEET CHILD. AS I AM SOMEONE WHO WILL TALK TO ANYONE, I FOUND IT QUITE RUDE WHEN DAISY AND CO WOULD NOT EVEN LOOK AT YOU. A SMILE GOES A LONG WAY ON HOLIDAY.
I WOULD CERTAINLY RETURN TO TSILIVI AND LOOK TED AND TONY UP BUT I WOULD NEED TO STAY SOMEWHERE WHERE MY MONEY HAD AT LEAST BROUGHT ME A CHEERY SMILE FROM THE PEOPLE WHO WERE GRABBING IT!!!!LOVE TO BETH FROM TERRY X

Karen G

We returned from a two week stint last night and the three of us have some serious post holiday blues. Unlike previous comments we found everything to our liking. Ted and Tony - they are in a league of their own - excellent guys. Toula does one mean brekkie and was absolutely in love with our daughter Bethany. Forti and Nickolas, the two reception guys were amazing. They just naturally went out of their way to help you with anything. Nickolas must have filled up his phone with pictures of Beth. He even went out and bought her a teddy. Forti is a one man working machine, he never seems to go home. We had a trip booked early one morning and he came into work extra early so that he could wake us - excellent guy. Daisy spent her time in the swimming pool trying her best to give Beth swimming lessons. Dimitri, Grandma and Grandpa were also lovely to all three of us. I honestly don't believe they are stand offish - you need to break down the language barrier - we did and we had a lovely time in their company. We even watched the Olympic ceremony with them. The maid cleaned our room everyday without fail, and yes the door was always locked by her when finished. In the evenings, we found the two nicest places to eat in the village were Camelot on the corner and Valentino's Castle, which is towards the end of the village past Calypso and Paradise Bars. It's tucked down a small track - both serve excellent food and have an excellent atmosphere and both have wonderful staff. Every where we went we were looked after and everyone made Bethany feel like a little star in the way they treated her. All in all, it was a fantastic two weeks. Thanks to everyone, the owners and the staff at Daisy.

Sarah M

We are going to the Daisy Studios beginning of Sep and taking our 16 month old. Any tips of things we should take/leave behind? Are there proper cots provided, as we have paid extra for one?

Helena W

We have been to Tsilivi 4 times over the last 5 years. The second time we went which was in 2001, we booked with Kosmar and stayed at the Daisy studio's. It was the holiday from hell. When we got there,we had to traips up 2 flights of stairs with 2 push chairs, despite the fact that we requested low floor accomodation. To make matters worse, they placed a young couple on the low floor and the owners refused to ask them if they would exchange with us, bearing in mind we had 2 children under 2 years of age. When we got to our room, the patio door was broken, and then when we went to go out for our evening meal, we were locked in from the inside and couldn't get out of the room. The owner, after a lot of scuttering in greek had to break the lock to get us out, and then had the nerve to hand us the bill for the new lock and key. After numerous trips to visit the rep, who by the way was hardly ever seen on the complex, and who spent most of her time in the village in the office, we demanded a transfer to another appartment. After 5 days of sheer hell, we were moved to the other end of the village, but not before i had the chance to throw the owners key and his bill to the bottom of the swimming pool for the suffering he caused to my family. I am not a person to normally complain, as you will see from my other comments on this web site. We have always loved everything about Tsilivi, but this accomodation really took the biscuit. People are easily fooled by the complex's appearance from the outside, because it really does look lovely. If anybody is thinking of booking these appartments, dont be fooled. It is very poorly maintained.

Paul C

We had a fab time, met some super people, were well looked after by Ted, Tony and Toola. All rooms need air conditioning, Kosmar needs to look closely at Daisy and gang (The Adams family)!! Ted and Tony's guitar+sing-along on Saturday nights are excellent entertainment.
Sam says hello Beth from Cardiff
Sarah and Terry start worrying
Caravan on horizon!

Jo

Had a great time there. Our apartment wasn't very nice tho as we were in the old block, it was boiling hot at night and the fan didn't do a lot of good. The new block apartments sounded a lot nicer. Bathroom could do with refurbishing. The rest of the hotel and pool/bar were really clean which made up for it. You only get one loo roll a week tho so get some of your own! Watch out if you hire qaud bikes cos greek police want to see your driving licences, and if you don't have one you get banged up - definitely the downer on the holiday. If you have sunburn or any ailment Ted is the person to look after you. Thankyou. The road outside is a bit like a formula 1 racetrack at night, so mind where you walk. Loved Zante but wouldn't go back to the Daisy, only for breakfast and Greek salad which were delicious!

Allan R

We stayed at the Daisy Apartments a couple of weeks ago. Accomodation was a nice distance away from the centre (quiet, but not too far to walk). Rooms were pretty basic, but enough for what you need. Mind the shower, we flooded the room every night! Pool was excellent, Ted was fantastic! 1 week into our stay 4 apartments were broken into. Because our room was next door to one of them, the Greek owners took it apon themselves to search our room TWICE! - at 2am! Nina and I didn't have a clue what was going on and they were very, very rude! and we never got an apology! Definatly wont return to the Daisy apartments for this reason.
Met some lovely people which really made our holiday!
P.S Hi Terry and Sarah!

Sarah R

terry and i have just returned from the daisy apartments. we had a great time and spent most of the holiday on the beach nearby. the owners were not very friendly and need to go on a customer care course!the apartments are clean and basic but watch out for the shower.we flooded the place every night!we felt we were being watched all the time by the family.be sure to take a couple of spare loo rolls too.ted and tony certainly made up for the hospitality round the poolbar.the safety deposit boxes are now in the reception area.on the day of departure the greek family wanted to charge 5euros to have a shower!the best thing was the other residents!

Beverley L

We stayed at the Daisy apartments in Tsilivi from July 18, 2004 for 2 weeks. We enjoyed our stay. As other people have noted the bedding and towels were changed more frequently the first week, but towards the last few days I just picked up a couple of clean towels from the store. We had a hired fan which was fine as we had brought a portable fan from home, however, when the new block is built next year air con will be included. On our last day portable air con machines were available to rent. We had never been to Greece and I expected the cleanliness and in particular the toilets to be less than clean, but I was pleasantly surprised. I never once saw a messy or smelly loo! We had a wonderful time. There are so many tavernas to choose from you are really spoilt for choice. Our favourite was Trente Nova just before Moby Dicks. The food was dilicious, service was excellent and more to the point very greek. The Greek night at Koukos is a must - it is a really good night, with traditional dancing, plate smashing etc etc!! A much cheaper night than the tour operators Greek night and I'm sure just as good - we enjoyed it anyway. We hired a car and got about a bit, the roads are twisty and the signs - well there are more signs for accommodation but we managed. We went on the turtle trip which we booked on the main street with a Greek guy called Yannis, it was very cheap (booked the car hire through him too which was a good deal) we were very lucky as we saw 3 turtles (the highlight of the holiday). I wouldn't be put off by the comments about the safety deposit box theft, the next day the guy came and secured all boxes into the wall, and was most apologetic. All in all we enjoyed out first visit the Zante and are now looking forward to visiting other islands.

Ashley H

Just returned from tsilivi, and really enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent there. Daisy is close enough to the town with out being too close and being disturbed by noise.
There were 3 breakins at Daisy where safety boxes from the rooms were removed, but the next day all the boxes were firmly fixed. On several occasions work was done on the room we were in to fix minor faults (we hadn't even reported, them they were so minor) My family and I had no issues with the apartments and would loved to have stayed longer. Yes they are fairly basic but adequate for the task. The new block does have air con (5 euro a night and well worth it) Ted and Tony at the bar were great, they really were great for any info you may require (their guitar night is an experience!!!)
We had no problems with Mozzies, which is most unusual as they go mad to eat me....

My family and I would go back to Daisy and that is the best rccomendation we would give. we loved Tsilivi and Zante.

Alan P

We returned from a two week stay at Daisy last week. We were enjoying it until the last few days when the standard of cleaning started to go downhill. During the first week the towels and sheets were changed daily. We thought this a bit unusual, but it was nice, but during the second week we had to ask for clean towels after 4 days.
On the last evening, 3 apartments were broken into and valuables, plane tickets and Passports were stolen. This was bad enough but the actions and attitude of the owners was unbelievable. We didn't see any Police arrive (although the Rep eventually did and was apparently very good)and the owner and his family continued to sit by the pool drinking. I'm afraid this attitude has definately put us off staying there again. DO NOT USE THE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES, they are just siliconed to the wardrobe floor and any thieves just rip them out and take the lot.
The location is very good but the quitness was spoilt by the dog next door barking all night.

Sheree

Horrible . We had to move the first day . dont go here

Scott C

Just got back from 2 weeks and they were good until the last night. The location is good, just 5 minutes from the town centre and even closer to the beach. Good food, try Benikos, Gyroland, Faulty Towers and Camelot for a start but avoid Romios! We ordered 4 different dishes and all 4 were inedible. Daisy is ok, pretty basic and the staff are good but the owners ruin it. Specifically their kids were noisy and intrusive and when we had 3 or 4 break ins on the last night the owners didn't do a thing to help, they just stood around and cashed in at the bar where everybody was gathering. I heard that they actually said "you english rob each other" which is not very diplomatic, especially if you are Scottish!! I wouldn't go back.

Disgusted!

I have just returned for Tsilivi and i am not at all happy! The daisy studios were so bad we had to move to another hotel! one word of advice! DONT GO THERE!

Steven M

Overall we really liked it. Ted, who works in the poolside bar is a seriously nice bloke. Really cheerful and happy to help. The owners were not, however. The old guy seemed pleasent enough and always said hello, but his wife, daughter and son-in-law seemed a little rude. The children of the owners were allowed to run riot in and around the pool - annoying and disrupting guests by splashing and kicking them in the pool. The rooms were cleaned daily - however, for some reason, the maid left all balcony doors OPEN after cleaning!! 4 rooms were subsequntly broken into. The drains in my bathroom were blocked upon arrival so that every shower I had resulted in a flooded apartment (i mean 1/2 an inch of water!). The owners were not interested, so I unblocked them MYSELF. All it took was some drain cleaner that cost 1 Euro from the mini market next door! I was not happy about that. Very early on 2 consecutive mornings, I, along with the other guests, was awoken by a very loud drill and saw! Not happy at all as I was out in Laganas the night before! I had to throw toilet rolls and clothes pegs down at the man to stop him sawing. That really pi**ed me off. Having said that, the apartments are well situated on the outskirts of Tsilivi and have a great pool and bar, offering very nice food and cold beer! No one i spoke to had air-conditioning available in their room... it is desperately needed!!

Anthony P

THERE IS NO STEPHANIE WORKING THERE WE GOT BACK FROME DAISY JULY 4TH THERE ARE TWO CASH MACHINES IN TSILIVI THEY ARE BOTH OKAY.HAVE A WORD WITH TED WHO WORKS BEHIND THE BAR HE IS GREAT WITH TIP,S OF WERE TO GO & VIST & PLACES TO EAT.

Anthony P

THERE IS AIR-CON AT DAISY PAYABLE DAILY COST 5 EURO,S

Ashley H

I'm sure I have seen a posting about the Daisy Studio's that says there are now rooms with air com. Can anyone confirm this?

Gavin W

We are going in August and want to know what the best things are in Tsilivi and is there many places to eat where they have vegetarian options? Are there any kind of trips going, if so what? Also, can you hop across onto mainland Greece?

Anthony P

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM DAISY AFTER 2WKS,WE FOUND VERY CLEAN & QUIET . THE STAFF WERE REALLY HELPFUL & FRIENDLY ESPECIALLY TED WHO WORKED AT THE POOL BAR HE WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU .THE GREEK OWNERS WERE FRIENDLY & PLEASANT. FORTY WHO WORKS ON RECEPTION WAS VERY HELPFUL ASWELL. WE WILL DEFINATLEY BE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR

Becky S

me and my mum are going to Zante to stay in the daisy studios on Sunday. i just wondered if anyone had been on any of the trips - and if they were worth recommending?

Thanks

Becky

Clare P

We have just returned from our fifth holiday in Tsilivi and this was the first time we stayed in Daisy. I have to say that this is the best accommodation we have ever had in Tsilivi. The rooms were cleaned every day and the beds changed 3 times a week. Everyone was really friendly and the buildings, pool area and bar were kept really clean.
Good places to eat are Athena (opposite Tizzys), Manos Grill and the Red Lion.
Great pitta gyros from Gyroland at 1.60 euros!!

Gary E

Anyone going to these studios will be surprised at what you get for your money, The place looks nothing like it did in the brouche, Everyone there is a great help, The pool bar is great Ron and staff will make you very welcome and Ted the guy who works the day is a star. There is also a cat called spot that wonders around the place but it's about to have kittens. The rooms are cleaned everyday and it is so quite there as you are just outside the centre 5 - 10 min walk if that. You couls fit a cot in a room with two adults, we had our 2 year old with us on a camp bed so plenty of room.

Jill K

Can anyone tell me if these studios are spacious enough to take a cot comfortably with 2 adults.

Gary E

To Maggie,
There is no air-con but fans can be hired from Daisy, But were cheaper at the shop next door.

Tat tar

Angela H

We stayed at the Daisy at the end of August when the weather was very HOT.The only complaint I'd have about the apartments was the lack of Air conditioning but you could hire a fan, cheapest rate at the Supermarket next door.Everything else was fine.
Good location only minutes walk from the beach.Food and beer fine.Room adequate.
Ate in some really nice restaurants particularily the olive tree, drank lots of nice cocktails in the Paradise bar.
We enjoyed it so much we're going back next year taking Nana and the kids!

Maggie B

We have just booked the Daisy for Aug next year, are the apartments air conditioned, if not can you hire fans from some where.
Thanks for your help.

Kelly B

I returned from Tsilivi on 24th Aug after a great 2 weeks with my Fiance and Parents. The weather was excellent and the pool was lovely. The bar staff were very nice and helpful especially Ron and Craig. The only downfall of the holiday was that I had my handbag snatched by a passing moped so ladies please be careful!! We also experienced a small earthquake. I would recommend eating at Faulty Towers which is about 2 minutes walk from Daisy but most of the restaurants we went to were OK. We met a great couple during our second week called Mark & Liz who made the holiday more enjoyable - Hello to both of you.

Carol C

Having been to different Greek islands over the last 6 yrs I found the cleanliness of these apartments much to be desired!! Beds made floor swept but the mop never saw water from 1 apartment to the next, perhaps that is why everyone during our 14 days went down with a "24"hr stomach bug brought from England according to the Rep.The pool is fantastic and the bar prices excellent but could someone please find Ron a personality. All in all we had a good holiday but I do not think Zante will see us again. Try Nidri in Lefkas far better apartsments and cleanliness!!!!!!

Gary E

We were at the Daisy from 13th to 20th on our honeymoon and how anybody can not like these apartments is a joke, Like the lady below says the greek family just keep them selves to them selves but if you talk to them they are very pleasent and there oldest daughter is a stunner (sorry wife, The location of the place is great you are 5 mins from beach, 5 mins from the centre. The people who run the pool bar are the most friendly bunch you could wish to meet, Ted is a star in his own right he would would walk over a hot coals if it would make you happy. They also sell nice snacks at the bar and the bear is cheep, But if you are drinking by the pool in the day go to the shop next door and buy your beer there and take it back, Amstel was 2 euros at the bar and 90 cents at the shop. A nice eating place is petra which is on the way to the town from the daisy very nice people.
all in all i think we will go back to the daisy next year as it was that good.

Helen S

After reading comments on this site i was extremely worried about staying at the Daisy, especially as it was my first time abroad without my family, BUT i was pleasently surprised! After just arriving home i thought i would write an honest review while it was still fresh in my mind!
First I'd like to put your minds at rest about the owners. The owners are a greek family and i think the reason many people find them rude is because they kept themselves to themselves, rather than rude i felt this was purely because they spoke little english. The owner, i think his name was Dimitri was very nice. One tip is to get a safety deposit box on arrival as there are a limited number of them and subsequently we had to put our valuables in another hotel, as a rather 'sweet' apology for this the owner offered me water melon which he had grown himself! If you like us are unable to get a safety deposit bobx, do not worry, we spoke to our rep and were reccomended Amryralis across the road from Majestic Restaurant which had an opening time of 8am - 12pm and was fairly cheap to hire. Secondly the bar staff were also nice, especially Ted who was around most of the day would do almost anything for anyone. On the first night he lent us the bar fan and would not let us pay for any water. The food was really nice and again fairly cheap. I'm not actually sure if the bar and apartments were anything to do with each other although they had the same name, but i suppose that is irrelevant!
I felt that the most appealing part of the Daisy was the location, although i never actually visited the beach my friend said it was only a 4 minute walk!It is on the main road but in a quiet area which takes again nly around 4 minutes to walk to the bars and restaurants there was also a market basically next door. Thus i feel nmaking the lcation perfect as it was both quiet night and day but close enough to facilioties. But on the last night there were what sounded like formula one takin part on the road outside.
The rooms were cleaned everyday, with the sheets and bins being changed and floor swept. I dont think i ever actually saw any rubbish in around the apartments themselves either.
Although the Daisy was an extremly nice place i felt that it was more for families and older couples and not for two 18 year olds! But this wasn't a drawbackk of the apartments simply a poor choice by us!
I hope this has given some people a piece of mind about the Daisy as the people are friendly, not too 'in your face' but there if you need anything. Hope this has been useful, have a nice holiday!

Elaine C

We're going to the Daisy Apartments on 22nd June 2003. We've been told that there are "put-me-up" beds in their studios. Is this correct? As we don't want to take our travel cot.

Kerrie G

Im 18 and i went to daisy studios last r with my boyfriend fo a week,
Zante was vary nice he studis were ok but as everyone says the owners are a bit grumpy!!!! its in a nice place, just by the beach and about a 10 min walk from the centre of tsilivi, the restaurant faulty towers was very good.

Julie C

Sorry that should have been a thumbs up for me, and also the apartments are I think well situated.

Julie C

I stayed at the Daisy apartments last year in May and although steve and Rhonda were in charge and really didn't find them that friendly, yes the greeks that own the hotel were a little hot headed but i really think it was because of the attitude steve and rhonda had towards them. I thought the apartments were basic but on the whole clean, they were not ideally situated - away from the resort centre so they were quiet - I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday I thought Zante was a bueatiful island, if you are looking for full amenties and luxury dont go to the daisy but if you are looking to relax and enjoy some of the greek culture and enjoy some of the ruralness of Zante life then go for it

Gary E

We are going to the daisy studios on July 13th for our honeymoon, Anything we should no about?
Whats the best restaurant and bars near by?

H

julie, you should learn some greek, and you will then see that demitri and his good lady are nice people

David G

the owner of the daisy dimitri; and his good lady are the salt of greek earth,
and i will be thanking them for the help given to us in june 03

Julie G

We have just come back from 2 weeks at these apartments. The owners are now running bar and it is terrible, no atmosphere and miserable. Apatments not kept that clean and nothing is fixed when asked

Lissa S

WE HAD 2 EXCELLANT WEEKS AT THE DAISY. EVERYONE WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE OWNERS (WHAT A GRUMPY LOT) BUT THEY DIDN'T BOTHER US. THE BAR TEAM WERE GREAT AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS REALLY FRIENDLY. SITUATION IS GOOD AND THE SUPERMARKET NEXT DOOR IS NICE. THE CALYPSO RESTAURANT OPPOSITE THE PARADISE IS THE BEST. ALSO BOOK ALL YOUR TRIPS THROUGH THE TRAVEL COMPANY OPPOSITE POPEYES AS THEY ARE GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY AND THEY ARE A REPUTABLE COMPANY LISTED IN THE ZANTE TOURIST BOARD.

Anne W

For luisa. My daughter and boyfriend stayed at the daisy last summer, and had a great time, they are roughly the same age as you.about 15 min walk to the bars in town.it's about 20 mins taxi ride to laganas. You can get a good nights sleep at the daisy.

Luisa M

I would like to know if anyone can tell me if this is a decent place for teenagers to go to?me and my friends are going to the daisy apartments next July and will be 18. We are not looking for a very lively nightlife, but we would like to know that there is some at least. If anyone could give us information please do so. Also how far away is it from the livlier resorts eg laganas?

Victoria W

We stayed @ Daisy studios on our second holiday to Tsilivi. When I first got off the coach I thought what a lovely little place to stay. Until we had been there barely a few hours and discovered the door lock was broken. The owner blamed the incident on my two younger siblings and tried to charge us for the damage. When we refused as it was already damaged, the owners wife abused my mother and reduced her to tears. Our rep moved us to Dannas studios where we thoroughly enjoyed the remainder of our holiday in Tsilivi.

Keith J

just come back had a good time, nice place and ok location.the guy who rents the bar(martin?),also looks after pool, and the rest of bar staff are also a lovelly crowd. don't worry about owner,he is a miserable looking git...but we just ignored him and he did'nt bother us.

Tracey M

For Rebecca. My husband and I stayed at the Daisy in June 2000, we enjoyed it that much that we went back in October 2000. There is very little noise, apart from the odd scooter passing by. You are far enough from the centre not to be disturbed. The only downfall is that they are owned by a grumpy git, but its easily coped with. We are travelling back there also on 16th June for 2 weeks, so it cant be that bad.

Andrew H

We have just returned from Tsilivi and were totally impressed by the Daisy. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the apartments are within close walking distance of Tsilivi centre. The beach is less than a five minute walk, and the nearest bars/tavernas about the same.

David G

anne; thanks for the info only 3 weeks to go now till first visit, jean & I are looking forward to this holiday very much.in need of sun. issto epanidhin

Anne W

For David. We stayed at the Daisy in June 2001 and had a fab time.As you are looking at Zante Palace the Daisy is just after the bridge on the left. Try the Akriteri taverna it's on the road past Cafe Romanza.Super Food.also Paradise taverna on the beach road near the daisy.Have a great time.

David G

We have not stayed here yet but are staying at the Daisy in October so we have loved all the comments and cant wait to see everyone. Are the Studios located before the bridge or after if you are travelling in the direction of the Zante Palace. Any info welcome. Thanks.Efharisto.

Pamela W

I went to Daisy May 2001,took my Mum,Val,cousin Zoey, and her Mum,Kath to try and help with the unexpected loss of my Dad. All I can say is that Rhonda,Clare and Steve were excellent. They treated my Mum and my Dad's sister brilliantly. They were very understanding about the ocassional outbreak of tears we all went through, and did everything possible to make sure we all had a good time. My Mum and auntie Kath got christened Hinge and Bracket and were made to feel a bit special. The bar staff went so far as to deliver baskets of chips and lend bottles of coke(to go with Vodka!)when Mum and Kath couldn't face another night at Paradise Bar! As far as noise goes, there was one fight between the owner (Dimitris,of course) and his wife(Daisy) which was the source of much amusement to the residents. We heard no late night noise at all.It is situated on the beach road with hardly any passing people or traffic - unless you count the goats in the field behind! It was so nice I took my husband back there in September - he loved it as well. Not only that we are going back in September of this year with Kath and her husband, and Zoey and her boyfriend. So it can't be as bad as people are making out can it?

Lissa S

TO KEITH JARVIS. WE ARE GOING 28TH JULY SO YOU WILL BE FLYING HOME ON THE PLANE I CAME IN ON. HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!!

Sharon W

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks last year and had an excellent time. We had been concerned about the noise comments etc, but we had no such problem at all. The apartments were clean and the place was quiet - no rows taking place! We have been to Tsilivi about 6 times now and the place just gets better and better. If you want to know anything else, just let me know, my e-mail address is sharonwright@bluecarrots.com. We are going back again this year for 2 weeks in June

David G

We are going to the Daisy in October so cant realy comment about the Studios BUT you will love the resort-We are going in June but are staying at the Charalambos-dont know what thse are like either so would love some comments-The restaurants are very good and reasonably priced so you dont have to take food. Kalio Oreksi.zorba.thegreek@ntlworld.com

Rebecca B

I'm going to Daisy apartments on 16th June for 2 weeks with my boyfriend-bit concerned about the reports of noise and the people that run the place. Has anyone got any info that will make me feel better???Also wondering how much money to take, is food etc reasonable??

Keith J

last message when you going, were there from 14 july,4 adilts 2 teenagers and a baby!

Lissa S

I am visiting the Daisy with my family in July 2002, is it a family place. I was worried about the comment on breakins. Does it happen much? I am also concerned about the late night noise comment.

Dave M

Bar staff are great. Also heps that Clare is gorgeous of course!

Tracy M

Do not believe all the bad comments about the bar staff at the daisy!!! Past comments are all about last years staff, Claire, Steve and Rhonda are brilliant bar staff and will do anything for anyone, so anyone coming to Daisy should look forward to meeting them and myself (kosmar rep)

Clare I

This is Clare and Steve(bar staff at the daisy studios)We want to thank everyone that has given their comments, good or bad! But we want to set one thing straight, we are completely different bar staff to last year, also with a new rep, Tracey who is probably the best rep in Tsillivi. So if you are planning to vist us in the last 3 months of this season please have no worries about the bar staff. Rhonda Steve and Clare coz we are all great!!

Just got back. We both felt that the location was excellent, not too far to walk to either the beach or the town. Very noisy if you are on the front of the second block (as we were) as the scooters in particular seem to love bombing along as loudly as they can throughout the night. The dustmen also have a habit of calling at the oddest of hours. But all in all, a great place to stay.

Well, my wife and I had a graet 2 weeks in spite of our reservations before coming here. The rooms are typically Greek i.e. BASIC but ours was clean and comfortable. The beds and towels were changed 4 times in 2 weeks, thats more than at home. The set up is a bit funny in that the peole that own the accomodation rent the bar to some English people and if you need something for your room you have to see the rep. This caused us no problems though and worked well in practice. Steve, Claire and Rhonda who work in the bar are great, they will try and help in any way that they can, just ask! A tip: Have your cocktails in the bar thaey are about 1000 drx (£2) and they are stronger than you`ll get in Town! All in all, great budget accomodation. Tip 2: take ear plugs if you want a siesta or go to bed early as the road/pool/bar can be noisy.

We have just come back from Zante, and we had the time of our lives. The pool area is superb, and one of the cleanest pools we have ever been in. The bar staff, Rhonda, Steve and Claire in the kitchen will do anything for you. The staff could not be friendlier, so make up your own mind when you meet them for yourself. The room is typically Greek, which does mean basic, but adequate. Please say hello from the sheridan's drinking geordies, Shaun and Helen.

Apartments were okay - basic Greek accommodation. Agree with previous comment that the family who own the apartments and live on site are very noisy and not very friendly. The pool area is very nice and the snack bar is handy.

We liked the apartment, did not like the family owners who live on the premises. They are very loud people and we witnessed father and daughter having a massive ding dong. However, we found he bar staff extremely friendly and obliging and lots of fun. The only thing that spoiled the holiday was the fact that we were burgled on the last night while we were asleep !!!

We took a party of six to the daisy for two weeks. Two adults, one teenager and three younger children. The accomodation is typically greek (basic) but the amenities were good and we all had a really good holiday. Previous site reports all refer to last year I was told. Bar staff now good. If anyone speaks with Demitri can they tell him that Sam says hello please.

Hi, my girlfriend and I are going to Daisy Studios for a week on the 22nd of July, 2001. Does anyone have any solid opinions of them? What's all this about the staff being horrible?! Thanks! antonio. antonio.lulic@virgin.net

Gazza

Nasty Grumpy old git that owns the place ruined our stay in this accomodation he tried to charge us for an already broken lock after blaming our kids, his wife abused my wife to the point of tears, rooms were tiny and not fantastically clean. STAY WELL CLEAR.

Laurie, what do you mean "beware of the Bar Staff"? Please reply!!

Laurie S

The Daisy are very average greek accomodation with a nice pool area. Beware of the bar staff though. from an EX-KOSMAR REP
