Daisy Studios - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

In reply to the question about Ted - he no longer works there every day, but he plays guitar there on Saturday Nights, with his friend Andy.  He has been replaced by Bill, a very helpful young man.
Ken has also moved on and he has been replaced by Nicco, another helpful young man.
Toula is still there and cooking up a storm.

We enjoyed our stay here, (our second stay at the Daisy) until I slipped on the pool bar steps and managed to break my leg, the day before we were due to return home.  Everyone was brilliant and the ambulance was there in minutes.  Everyone was so kind to my husband during my 7 day stay in hospital and I was greeted like royalty on my return from the hospital.  During the following days, all of the staff were so helpful and considerate, especially when it came to getting me on and off the premises, as I am a large person and my wheelchair left much to be desired.

Despite my accident, we hope to return to the Daisy next year.

Faulty Towers - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Yvonne T  (16 June 2005)

Tony and May are the most welcoming of hosts to their small establishment - the food is excellent, the servings are generous and the prices are very good.  There are also child sized portions available.  Also very enjoyable background music.

When you need a break from Greek Food, this is simple English Food at its best.  My favourite was the Liver and Bacon with Fried Onions, my husband's choice the Homemade Meat Pies - all of them.  Also the "Sunday" Roasts, available Sundays and Wednesdays, if you have any room left, to be finished off with Apple Pie or Triffle.  Fantastic!!!

With living on the island for many years, their local knowledge far exceeds most reps and they are so helpfull.

Tony, May and Family - thank you so much for all the help you gave Terry while I was in Zante Hospital, for reorganising the tables and chairs so I could eat there, after I was released and for driving us to the airport, when the reps left us to make our own way.

I don't know how to express my gratitude apart from saying THANK YOU and that we will return when I am healed enough, unfortunately it doesn't look like being this year.  Verdict from our local hospital, a very good repair to a bad break, which may take a long time to heal.

Finally back in Essex after our extended stay

Golden Lion - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Yvonne T  (16 June 2005)

When you need a break from Greek Food, this is Chineese/Thai Food at its best.

Arlene and her family are attentive without being obtusive and you can hurry or linger as suits you and your holiday mood.

My favourite was the Spring Rolls followed by Duck with pancakes, my husband's choice was the "Golden Lion Spare Ribs" and the Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Arlene and Family - thank you so much for all the help you gave Terry while I was in Zante Hospital.  For visiting me in hospital and helping me with translating my pains to the nurses and swapping information with the other patients.  For giving Terry lifts to the hospital, so he could visit me and for driving us back to the accommodation when I was released also for reorganising the tables and chairs so I could eat there, while in the hired wheelchair.

I don't know how to express my gratitude apart from saying THANK YOU and that we will return to Tsilivi when I am well enough.

Daisy Studios - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Yvonne T

to Rosie,

We stayed there at the end of May.
There is a lovely pool at the Daisy, with a seperate childrens section and a pool bar.  Watch out for the steps by the pool bar, which can be slippery when wet.

To anyone reading these comments,

Please don’t just look at the top few – look back over the other pages for a more balanced view.  One persons “small room” is someone else’s “spacious apartment.  We all have different opinions and memories.

In my opinion Bill is a genuinely nice guy, friendly, polite and helpful, so is Astrit on reception.  The "Daisy Family" did their best to make sure you enjoyed your stay, but I'm certain they disscussed us all in Greek, probably in the same way we discussed them, Grandad does have a few annoying habits.

This years holiday, between 15th May and 29th May, (due to me breaking my leg, our stay was extended to 6th June) was our second stay at the Daisy and as we did most of our sightseeing last year, we spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool or using the pool bar and the service was always excellent, Toula’s cooking is great, but watch out the Special Burger is huge!!!

I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes, especially Jessica and Chloe for their get-well cards.  I am much better now, on my second plaster cast, and hoping to be allowed to walk (or at least put my foot on the ground) with crutches after my next x-ray on 12th July.

Regards to all who remember Terry and Yvonne
