Planos Aparthotel

Accommodation in Tsilivi

Shrew

toni - i worked in plannos bay last year (2004) and i think that it would be ok for people in your age range, it is about a 5 minute walk to the first lot of bars and about a 15 minute walk to tsilivi centre but in my opinion the bars closer to planos bay are the best anyway!!

Sally B

hi i`m thinkin of bookin to stay at the planos but could do with seeing a few more pic`s of the place before i decide thanks to anyone who can help

We are thinking of booking the Planos Bay studios for August/September this year. Is it very close to town? We don't want anywhere too far out. Also, would you say it is a suitable place for a 28ish year old couple or is it more for families?

Thanks

does any one know if yannis & thespinna will be working at the planos apart hotel (planos bay aparts) in 20005 summer season please reply.

Rachel

Just returned from another fantastic 2 weeks in Tsilivi. We didn't stay at the Planos Bay Appts stayed at the Anetis Hotel at the other end of Tsilivi but visited Planos on several occasions. We are Yannis & Thespina, Memis & Ilias groupies!!! What can i say but a huge thanks for the beers, Frappe's and for just being fantastic friends.

Thanks for being there for me when i needed friends..kiss kiss..R

Both Paul & myself hope to be back next year...

Helena W

we have just returned from our 4th visit to Tsilivi. We didn't actually stay at the planos bay. We stayed at the admirals across the road, but we frequented the bar at the planos in the evenings because our friends yannis and thespina were running the bar this season. What can we say Yannis, Thespina, apart from the fact that we had such an amazing time over the past 2 weeks. We will never forget the evening of the 7th september, it was very entertaining to say the least. All i can say is 'going so soon? Why the party is just begining' LOL.
Anybody going to the planos bay in the future, all we can say is that you will have an excellent time. Lovely and clean, excellent pool, great entertainment for adults and kids. Charlie one of the entertainers is a sweet girl, and very friendly.
we hope to return next year.

just arrived back ..mon.13th of sept........had a truly excellent holiday....this place is the perfect family holiday destination, from the cleaning staff to the management the complex is run to perfection....we have two small children one 4 and the other 2, the pool is safe and child freindly the poolside bar staff are wonderfull with the kidds and make them feel so special, the enertainment and kids club is also faultless.the rooms are spacious and comfortable.the night time entertainment is really great and the greek night is a must.we wont hesitate to return and recomend this holiday to anyone from young couples to whole families, once again a truly excellent family holiday.

Kim Z

got back from zante yesterday (22nd august 04), havn't stopped crying yet, jus want to be back there. for those teenagers who say there is not much to do at the planos bay hotel is mad, i am 14 and have a brother 15 and we both totally enjoyed ourselves, thanks to charlies excellent volley ball and poolside quizzes on the mornin/dinner time. then on the night we were entertained by the fab bar staff, yiannia, thespina, memis and not forgeting the lovely ilia. they were all great. my mom and dad said that out of all the holidays they have ever had that this was the best holiday. thanks to the bar staff and the great friends we met over there, we had the best holiday ever. if someone gave us tickets we would go straight back tomorrow. just a little tip if you stay there, only try and open the doors if the doors open, because the door handle may fall off, he he. all the friends we met there were great e.g 'nutter and co.' and 'the muffin man and co.'. you guys were fab!!! hoping to go there next year if we find out what hotel yianni and co. will be working at. if youre on your way there make sure you take your smile with you... you'll need it. ilia says : 'i'm a lucky b***ard', but we are the lucky ones because we met the greatest people ever!!!

everything was gr8 the entertainers kept every1 occupied with games like vollyball, polo, and pool, even the adults joined in some times. every1 was welcome and the bar staff are fantasic. A gr8 place to make friends and charlie(one of the entertainment team) was brilliant, every one there that i met i now miss and i want to go back again!! As for the other comments about nothing 4 teenagers i disagree, they have a club for older ages but if ur too old then just make some m8s and join in with the rest of the games. Overall a very good holiday with almost evrything perfect : )

Nicola S

There is very little for teenagers to do, as they get cant go anywhere without being told off or asked to move. IT is for families with young children

Leila R

just returned from a great holiday at Planos!! Charlie is the best entertainer and Sam is brilliant with the poolside quiz. There was so many games for kids and teenagers to play such as polo, volleyball, killerpool and diving for spoons, lilo races etc. I met loads of friends all of which i miss like crazy and i hope 2 return soon. Thanks Charlie 4 a great holiday. luv leila

Debra D

We came back from Planos Bay in June this year and we will definately be back next year. The hotel was fantastic and the reps were brilliant especially Sam. It was very clean and up to standards. There were many great restaurants including Avgustis near The Alexandra beach and Edem Grill house just down the road from the hotel. Both were great and all were extremly friendly. I would recomend this Hotel to any families that are planing a holiday in Greece.

Moira F

Just back from the Planos Bay (second visit in 3 years). Thanks to all the staff for working so hard to keep this a first class holiday venue. Yiannis & the bar staff, all the great cleaners (nowhere could be cleaner) and Sam and all the kids reps (especially Ollie & Amy of Wavelength). Our special thanks to Christos (the manager) who is very helpful and welcoming (as are the reception staff). Keep up the good work - we will see you again 'sometime' in the future.

Moira David Heather & Craig Fyfe.

Scott O

hello, we r thinking of booking to come here in 2005. Many of the reviews were from familys with young children. Were there many teenagers? If so is there plenty for them to do? cheers!!

Sharon S

Had a great time thanks to all the staff but especially the BAR Staff whic made out holiday most enjoyable. Hope to see you all next year

Sharon Stone & Johnny Danger

Pablo V

Just back from a great holiday here, great poolside atmosphere, great guys behind bar, great weather 37-40 every day,bit pricey at poolside bar, but regularly given freebies by our mate Memis,Bouka beach 2 mins walk, good but bit tricky for young kids cos o pebbles, main beach 10 mins walk round seafront clean and shallow for a long way out, but quiete narrow.
In all great place to stay and would reccommend to anyone with a family.

Mandy S

Got back from Planos Bay on 13th July - wish we were back there - everything about the place is fantastic - as someone said earlier our group (16 in total - ouch) were out there for the Greece v Portugal final - we could not have chosen a better place to be - it was a delight seeing Christos enjoying the match (stressed or what ha ha) - anyone there would have been 'micked' aka Ali G - Remember Him!! He was the guy that had his face painted in the Greece Flag. Yannis, Thespina, Memis and of course not forgetting Illias made our holiday entertaining.

Anyone going to Planos will have an excellent time - sorry Christos but we are planning on going back next year and there will probably be a few more of us - but we promise to behave ourselves. XX

Sherrie L

We have just got back from two weeks at Planos Bay and had a fab time. Our children are 9 7 and 4 and all enjoyed the kids club. Sam and all the Reps were great as they were very knowledgeable and accessible. In fact we spent he Greek Euro 2004 semi night in the beach bar watching the match with them and it was good fun. The apartments are clean and the maids were efficient, but five of us in a one bed apartment was a squeeze, but we didn't spend much time indoors. The reception staff were friendly and pool bar guys brilliant fun. The local beach is very short walk, even with small children. Turtle watching excursion was a must, although we booked independantly as it was cheaper. Water park just outside Zante was very new, very well staffed with lifeguards and the cleanest I've seen.Loads of restaraunts nearby - we spent a lot of time at Fat Olives which was the friendliest place we found with fantastic food.It was quite noisy in our apartment until about midnight I think cos of the entertainment downstairs, but we didn't realyose much sleep. In all a great family holiday, with temps well into the 30's every day. Wish I was back there now.......

Danielle O

well i went to planos bay aprts last yr but it was 1 of the best hoildays that i can eva think that i have have had in mi life there are mates of mine that have rote in and what they have said is right. it is a great place to go but for us teenagers there is nowere for us to go at night cause were eva we went we jst got told to more and shift cause we were to noisy wen we were hadrly makeing any nosie. i wud recommed it to any1 cause it is a really nice place to go and i wish i do go bakc there but the only thing that i did not like abou the hoilday was that the airport was sooooo small and u were so cramped and there was only 1 thing were the baggeg went but apart from that the hoilday was wunderful

(Got Back 13/06/04) Planos Bay apartments - Fantastic - especially for children although me & my husband don't have any yet, we're expecting our 1st arrival beginning of Nov)We went as a last minute deal on named accommodation - following the comments from this website - which are all pretty spot on - so thanks to everyone for their honest & constructive feedback. Planos Bay was very clean, tidy, all staff were friendly & apartment was great. The pool was quite cold as per previous comments -but then is the sea - & after the 1st dip -it's fine. We spent most of our time away from the apartments in the day - down at the beach & eating out at the town - so i can't honestly comment on the facilities & food onsite. However, there was plenty going on 24/7 to keep children/adults occupied. We would definitely go back in the future - hopefully next time as a family. But be warned childless couples - This is a family accommodation - & those seeking a quiet relaxed holidy - best go down to the beach during the day! The poolside is very noisy with active children having a great time - This did not put us off as the beach is a minute's walk and much nicer than any pool side. Being a family accommodation also meant late in the evening it was fairly quiet as by which time - kids are safely tucked up in beds & no beer louts. In all, a very nice break & definitely recommended. Thanks Sam and everyone else at Planos Bay - You all work really hard to ensure we have a great time - you get gold stars from us.

Andrew B

Back from Planos Bay 18th may 2004 - absolutely brilliant!..Christos (hotel manager) is great (still working on my worry beads) - on first name terms with all guests - . - Yiannis & Thespina - best value food & drink in the area - & really enjoy what they do!... Daniel enjoyed the kid's club - Reps are absolutely wonderful..
Hi to Amy, Sam, Ollie & all the First choice reps...Will definitely go back.
Even though we were above the karaoke bar (who the heck was "tel boy") - didn't lose a night's sleep!
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..

John C

We have came back from a great holiday .It was the first for my children Christopher and Isabella .They had a excellent time as well as us .A big thank you to all the reps, kids club and the entertainment team, but a special thankyou goes to CRISTOS.I hope to return next year as this will be my NO 1 choice. Thanks again to all the staff and hope you have a good season as we left we some lovley memories.seen you soon.
JOHN,BECKY, CHRISTOPHER& BELLA

Michael K

We have just returned from two weeks at Planos Bay Appts, and not only found that the staff were brilliant but the manager Cristos, was exeptionally very kind and generous if we went to Zante again that would be the place that we would stay. The only thing that i would comment on is the Karoke Bar next door below the appartments can be very annoying at night 2 am weekends and during the week finishes at 12 midnight, but overall a very enjoyable stay.

Vicky W

I have to second purple turtles comments below. Yannis and Thespina are a fantastic couple. They will defo make sure you have a fantastic holiday, both you and your children. And what a better hotel to stay in then the Planos. I stayed in the Admiral (planos sister hotel which is next to admirals) in October last year and I had a fantastic time! The entertainment in both these hotels are brill and i am sure you will have a great holiday. I have been to Tsilivi three times now and I hope to return soon.

Emma S

Hi all
Am going to Zante (Planos Bay apartments) next month and have two daughters, aged 3 and a half and 10 months
Just wondered if anyone could advise me on kitchen facilities in room, what the supermarkets are like and basically how the area caters for kids meals in general
Ta very much x

Anita B

My children were aged 5 and 7 when we went last September. They both loved the kids club and kids disco in the evening. The kids reps were excellent and the club was well run with activities most days. They also did evening parties in the club room until 9.30 pm and also a pyjama party until 11.00 pm. The room is safe and well equipped any I would definitely recommend it.

Lizzy S

I'v booked my holiday for summer 2004 at PLanos Bay, I have two children, one 4, and one 6. Can anyone tell me about the kids club and reps. Very interested to know what your children thought.
Thanks

Karen C

We have just returned from Planos Bay and thought it was Fantastic. This was out first family holiday abroad and we picked a good one. The kids loved the entertainment and entertainers(Kate,Helen,Mickey etc)they loved the pool(We adults could not cope with the temperature) they made loads of friends(Ya soo Dino from Niamh). The staff were very friendly and helpful and we tried a few restaurants, The Acropolis and Yiasou Yianni being our favourites. We loved Tsilivi beach and we liked the two days we went exploring around the whole island. We have already talked about going again next year, only we would go a little earlier this time, the weather was very good but we did have a few rainy days. Our room was lovely and I did not miss aircon the fan was fine, everything was kept clean for us and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.efkhareesto(MY ATTEMPT AT GREEK) to all at Planos. Oh Niamh says Ya soo to Christos also. xxxLove from The Coopers

Andy

Just returned from the here. Kids club was great. Evening entertainment wasn't great but Kate the rep did her best. Apartments were clean and the maid was pleasant.Cooking facilities were basic so beans on toast was the best achieved. Pool was very cold and a shock to the system. All the staff were very helpful.

Joanne C

anyone who goes to planos bay appartments will love it the pool was cold but the night live was brilliant

Anita B

I think Mr Blaire must have gone to a different hotel to us. It was a great family hotel, situated close enough to the beach and bars for convenience. Our room was clean and tidy, the maid came in everyday and was so kind when our daughter was ill. The rooms are basic and functional but we really didn't spend that much time in them. The kids club was excellent, well run and with a good variety of activities. The Entertainment team were ok, didn't see alot of them really, and one of them was much more interested in certain guests (you know who you are!). The whole place was kept clean and the only down point was the muppet above our room who had their stereo on full blast for most of the second week. This is a good hotel for families and I would recommend it but I think couples or young people out for a party-time would find it boring.

Steve H

We arrived on 7.9.03 - allocated on arrival at airport - we were more than happy with it. Hotel staff excellent - First Choice reps were brilliant although we didn't partake in any of their activities there was something on every day for the kids etc. Very good family type hotel with an excellent swimming pool, cleaned every morning without fail. We'll come again - Great restaurant opposite called Stamnes Tavern. Met some great people all the best to Fred & Sue and Steve & Megan from Southend who got married out there.

Nicky W

Returned today 15 Sept 03 from Planos Bay Appartments, they were fantastic. We had ground floor appartment, no need to use the front door just hopped over the wall straight onto poolside! brilliant. Most the appartments have pool view, there is air con in certain appartments, we had a ceiling fan which did the business! 1st week weather brilliant, second week.....rain and thunder storm last Monday day and night, we got flooded out of our room, water was 3 inches maybe more high in appartment, about a foot high outside, the Hotel Manager was brilliant, he moved us to a 4 star Hotel for the night with breakfast included! Our rooms were spotless when we arrived back and we stayed where we were hoping it wouldnt happen again! it didn't but we had rain part of Tuesday/Wednesday, the rest of the week was lovely. Not too hot at this time of year just right for us. As compensation we were given 3 days worth of free English breakfast each from the pool bar. Night life good, entertainment was good but not as busy due to being off peak, all reports regarding Kate are true, she is brilliant, a lovely down to earth girl who is game for a laugh, two 12 year old boys are heart broken to have left her behind!! Town centre 10 mins walk, loads of bars, eating places, McDonalds! Beach is ok you have to walk around a bit to find a good spot. Meet two lovely familes in the second week who were brill, we are all keeping in touch. Definately go again, even to same appartments. Hi to Bryan/Wendy/Lauren/Sarah/Lewis/Pete/Gail/Alex and James, see you soon and thanks for making our second week great!!!

Sophie H

hiya

Hi, I got back tuesday the 12th of august from the Planos Bay. Overall i thought it was good, but not a lot for teenagers and we were not allowed anywhere at night, which i thought wasnt very good. I thought that the entertainers were, especially kate!!!!! At night the entertainment was for young children and adults. The accomodation was great. Thanks for a great holiday
daniel, 12, stevenage

Nicola S

Hi again
just to say, while i was there i was with a party of 11, 5 of us had a bug. I dont know how we got it but beware of it. It only lasted a while, and didnt ruin the holiday

Nicola S

Hi, I got back on the 12th of august after one of the best holidays i have ever had. Planos bay was great, the rooms were great, and so was the atmosphere. The one thing that i didnt like was the fact that there is very little fo teens to do. Im a teenager and there was nowhere for us to go at night, apart from in th entertainment lounge, which wasnt that brilliant anyway. Overall i had a good time, i made some great friends, flic, rach, adrian, matt, amanda...the list goes on. Thanks for a great holiday, Nicola xx

Joanne C

i had a wonderful time i met lots of friends it was 45 degrees when i went sam kate and dave were realy kind i thought sam and kate were realy ace dancers i got to do karioke i loved the pool activitys i went with my sister granny and grandad thankyou very much that was the best holiday id ever had. joanne chadwick age 11

Jo E

got back on june17th 2003 only just recovered enough to write this message! Had a brilliant time thanx to Kate, Micky, and Dave(smiler)for making our holiday so good. The rooms are great but could do with air con, the poolside entertainment was fab and im sure kate didnt mind getting thrown in all the time (andy says hi). The beach is cool if you dont mind a bit of a walk, And Freddy's bar was absolutely fab! Cant wait to go back, we would definately stay here again. My kids loved it (Scarlet 12 & Billy 7)and didnt want to come home. See you soon Thats a promise! JO

Sharon D

my husband and 2 sons(13 and 16) are going to planos bay on august 24th fo 2 weeks. are there any other teenages going there. also whats the entertainment like for that age group and are there any sports facilities there thanks

Rom P

We (Wife, 2 young sons & I) have just returned from Planos Bay Apts and can only commend it highly.
If you're after loud nightlife and rave partying...go elsewhere, Laganas for example - this is for families.
Our 6-yr old loved the Kids Club and they both enjoyed Kate & Carla's kids disco/parties (well done Tony and all the reps.)
Watch the supermarkets, hunt around, the prices are a lottery and often higher than home - self-catering is not particularly cheap.
Families with young kids will enjoy this place, the pool's big and clean, the town's got plenty of eateries, some with playgrounds even.
Zante is not a big place and there's a whole big world out there, but if we ever did go back, we'd have no qualms in going to Planos Bay Apts.
Mind you, the airport is the pits!!! Could you imagine any other country hosting the Olympics and offering its guests such crass facilities? The airport kiosks are also an absolute rip-off.
Hate the airport....Love Planos Bay.

David & Moira

We've only just returned from the Planos Bay Apartments after a two week break. It was excellent in every way. The apartments were spotless.
The entertainment team were superb and went out of their way to keep everyone entertained during the day and in the evening. The team - Kate, Carla, Micky and co were superb and had endless energy and enthusiasm.
Who needs an entertainer like Toni Anthony (who was very dodgy!) when you have superb team in Kate, Carla and Micky. If you do nothing else during your hols - make sure you hear Carla and Micky sing and see Kate dance!
Our two children had a fantastic time with the girls at the kids' club and really enjoyed their block of swimming lessons with Lisa. An excellent idea - and done by such a really helpful, friendly girl.

Our thanks to everyone at Planos Bay for making our holiday so special!

Steven J

We returned yesterday from 2 weeks at Planos Bay (formerly planos park) and we had the time of our lives. Everything was perfect, the rooms, the pool area, the entertainment (especially Kate who i'm sure runs on batteries) and Tsilivi in general....all fantastic.
It's close (200 metres) from beach, has a well stocked supermarket and is in easy walking distance (10 minutes) from the main resort centre.
Thanks to all at Planos Bay for a SURPERB fortnight.

Alan B

just returned from planos bay apts.some of the best accomodation we have ever had in greece.Very clean and modern etc.caught a local bug that was doing the rounds but other than that would recommend it.Entertainers try really hard but need a bit more audience participation.Would go back.

Tony S

we will be staying at the planos apartments in tsilivi, travelling with cosmos. The same apartments are in the thompson brochure. I cannot decide which these apartments are. Are they the planos beach, planos bay or are they all the same?
Thanx Tony
ps we are going 4/8/03

Tony M

Forgot to add we are there again in 3 day's time 20/06/03. This is our 3rd. visit.

Tony M

Planos Park was great but not alot to do in house, the entertainment at night gets a bit boring after a couple of visits but the bar/entertain room is air-conditioned. The pool is suberb though and the rooms are excellent and the staff are very welcoming also the whole place is very clean and tidy. Restaurant's to visit are Manos Grill & Koukos did not like Popeye,s. We planned our excurtions with Dionisos Tours who were very helpful, recommend the sunset cruise and Turtle Tour as this is with a member of the protection society.

Abi M

Hi, i am 10 years old and am gong to Planos Bay on the 17th june. Can anyone tell me any good places to go?? Can anyone tell me if the kids clubs are very good?? I cont wait to go as it isnt long now!!!

Andrew M

Tony, you said ask you a question so here goes...
We (myself, wife and two girls aged 7 and 10) arrive on Tuesday 17th at 19.55 and are really looking forward to meeting you and staying at the Planos Bay.
I've read some horrors about the airport so wondered if you had any suggestions to make getting through check-in etc as smooth as possible.
Also, can we take a taxi to the apartments rather than coach transfer? as i notice it's alot quicker.

Judith N

Have just returned from a stay at planos apartments and we had a fab time. The apartments were kept so clean, the beds were comfortable and there was virtually no noise at night. There is limited entertainment in the bar but Janeen did organise a few things, e.g. water polo, pool, quiz nights. There's a karaoke bar over the road which was a good laugh on 2 nights a week. Plenty of great places to eat and we can honestly say we never had a bad meal, the food is excellent. The only major problem is the airport, queing to pick up luggage for 1 1/2 hours and to leave took 3 hours queing, outside in the blazing heat. It's a shame because the holiday was great and we met some great people. The kids loved just being by the pool most of the time. Great holiday.

Tony L

hi, im tony the first choice representative at the planos bay apts.
in answer to the last question, yes there are laundry facilities here,
washing machines and driers.
at present we are having scorching weather around 33 degrees every day.
if you or anybody else has any other questions, please ask and i'll do my best to answer them for you.
looking forward to meeting you soon.

Toni A

I have booked a holiday from 16?6 to 27/6 for Husband, me & 2 small kids. Is there a laundry there? How hot is it at that time?

Any other fab/not so fab comments to get me excited?

Thank You

Joanne

not alot for kids s**te entertainment.

Steven S

were stopping in the planos apartments in early may 4 adults and six kids ranging from 4-15 wandering whats available for the kids

Janet S

We went to another hotel at first and demanded a transfer. We were transferred to Planos Bay and WOW!!!!!, it was fab. Entertainment could have been better, but plenty of bars, so could always find something to do, or not as case maybe. Bar on way to beach has films every day(new releases) gets packed. Kids loved it. Everybody very friendly and whole are very very clean. Apartments spotless. Liked it so much returning August 2003.

Laura F

Hi Im taking my family to planos bay in oct/03 can anyone advise on good places to visit and if weather is good at that time of year. p.s. kids are 15 and 10. thanks u can email me at laura@forbes30.freeserve.co.uk

Donna K

in reply to a message posted by Debbie Watson in November.
You said that you are getting married in Sept 03 and staying in Planos bay. There is plenty to do for a reception. Speak to Sammie, shes part of the entertainment team and will do everything possible to make your night extreamly memorable. I worked with her last year and we had several wedding parties, all of which were fantastic.
If you want any special songs played take them with you and arrange for her to play them. She will be more than happy to do it. I know she's a soppy one when it comes to weddings and the party atmosphere will be one you'll never forget.
Good Luck and have an excellent day.

Going to Planos Bay in June 2003, ages 36, 32, 9 & 5 Does anyone know of a map of Tsilivi on the net that will show me the whole area in reasonable detail - sandy beaches, places to eat/drink etc?

Laurence P

We stayed here for 2 weeks in the middle of August and will definetly be going back. The whole complex is spotless and nothing is to much trouble for the staff.Planos area being at the end of Tsilivi was just a 15 min walk or you can take the horse and carraige.Entertainment was good but more could have been laid on for teenagers. The pool area was kept spotless but it did tend to get busy due to the other 2 aparthotels in this complex that use it. Buka beach is just a 5 min walk, nice beach and there were always sunbeds available. There are some very good restaurants all within walking distance. The jewellery shop in the reception area is well worth a visit.

My 2 weeks at planos bay apts were fantastic my best holiday so far. The entertainment at night was brilliant and v.funny with paul! sammy was very friendly and dean was very very funny! The best places 2 eat out were zeus, popeyes and manos grill. We only went to 2 beaches st nicholas beach wich is very nice and we went to the beach about 10minuites from planos bay. both v.nice. We didnt hear eny noise at night at all it was very quite. Mind out for the bugs as we found few of them around! I went to wavelength with claire and some of my friends on a bar crawl and we has a real great laugh! I want to defantly go back next year!

We enjoyed two weeks at the Planos Bay (previously Planos Park) Appartments, situated at Planos, about a quarter of an hours walk from main Tsilivi, all flat walking throughout. The whole complex is kept spotless; watching the cleaners at the poolside was quite something, even Nikos!!Keep your t-shirt on Nik, it's early! Watch out for the baths, they have a basin-type area in so mind where you put your feet when you shower, or you will slip. A seperate shutter which lets the air in but not the bugs was great at night,(although we experienced no bugs)and a double-glazed door also to cut out any noise. We had a problem with one of the beds, which the maintenance staff solved without any problem. We were above the entertainments lounge and had no trouble with noise at all.Everything that the brochure said would be supplied in the appartment, was. There is an on-site shop and limited washing facilities, and in the evening the entertainment is quite good, but as Planos Bay is part of three sister-hotels you soon learn where the better of the entertainments are on each night....some draw larger crowds than others, but there is ALWAYS something to suit everyone; audience participation is a must! All our best wishes go out to the staff, especially Claire, the Wavelength Rep (that's from Steph!)and Dean(YOU ARE WITHOUT DOUBT A STAR!, and your costume for 'The Full Monty' fitted to..er..a..T!)Overall a great place to base your holiday. WELL DONE FOR MAKING OURS AN UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY!

Planos Park now called Planos Bay - excellent and clean but just a little bit noisy in the evenings (over the football pitch and taverna), but we wouldn't hesitate to return here as the location was superb. The sea was shallow and warm and ideal for the family. We saw NO mosquitoes!!! and always slept with the window open - even though our rep thought this was unbelievable.

we stayed at planos bay apts, found the staff and service excellent,we were made extremely welcome and there were numerous activities for the kids to enjoy!,The apartments themselves were very, very clean, and if a problem arose like not enough wardrobe space then it was dealt with straight away. All in all we had a superb holiday and would'nt hessitate to go back and enjoy the service and hospitality of all at the PLANOS BAy APARTMENTS

i stayed at the planos apartments over the road, but used the pool here (as all the hotels r owned by the same family. The hotel is in a great position. Best restaurants r manos grill and popeyes bout a 10 -15 minute walk. the beach is just round the corner, but if u keep walking the coast u come 2 better beaches with more sand. i recommend u go on the zakfari (jeep safari) as it's great way 2 c the whole, here some stories and have real fun, the guide Paul is v. funny. have fun.

can echo Dione's comments as we were in the next apartment, Hi Dione! But dont forget Danny night manager, very helpful chap, just one critisism, not alot to do for 14 up unless you like pool or darts and just a warning please stay off the mopeds unless you are competant but all in all a brilliant holiday.

Pete, 39, Dione, 35, Jed, age 8. We stayed at Planos Bay Apartments from 28 May - 11 June and must say it is one of the best holidays we have had. Apartments and facilities extremely clean )I watched them every morning clean the terraces at least twice. Staff very friendly and helpful -particularly the gorgeous Jason who runs the bar (Hi Jason :-). Accommodation standard is excellent. No problems getting sunbeds and most people tend to surface around 10am. Evening Entertainment is fantastic and Ailsa is a true professional - I was impressed. Apartments are very family orientated and the kids club reps are great with the children. Located very close to beach but beware beach is shingly and have to walk a fair way to avoid the shingles/pebbles. Lots of restaurants close by and we never had a bad meal in any one of them. They really make you feel at home in this hotel. We'd recommend it to anyone and wouldn't hesitate in going back.

Planos Bay/Park Apts are finished and ready. They are situated at the northern end of the resort, near the Caravel Hotel.
