Hello to all the guests who have came and went. And an even bigger hello to all the guests who are yet to come. I'm Michael the hotel entertainer and i'm sure there is something here to make your holiday a good one. OMG!!!!! This was the best holiday i have had, i came here 3 years ago and loved and made my dad bring the family back when we came bac this year 3rd sept 2006 it was even better than before i loved every minute of it. The entertainment was the best well done to Michael, Amy, Sam and demitri, i miss you guys already. I will defo be back just don't know when hopefully soon, but i no michael won't be there if i go next year ..... Miss you all loads xxxx MWAH xxxx

omg best hotel there. near teh admirals n planos enough to be able to meet so many ppl n wow it woz wicked every1 woz so friendly n wicked. even the admirals boys, even after they attacked us with the foam in our pool, hehe. :P love 2 every still der.

We went to the Planos Bay apartments with first choice on the 18th June 2006 for two weeks.....WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT !! have just booked to go back next june.

Hello! I should like to know if Planos Studios in Tsilivi is the same as Planos Beach Hotel...I hope to get there (at Planos Studios) this summer, during august and I'm not sure if what I see on http://www.planosbeach.gr/ is what i will get. Please help me with this! And one more question...I read somewhere that Planos studios are more suitable for families and couples. Why? are they very tranquile...are they far from "the madding crowd", from shops, tavernas...? I want to come there not only for a relaxing holiday, but also for some kind of nightlife:) Is this possible? Can I sleep there in a noiseless room but also be quite close to some bars/restaurants...? I have some experience with Corfu island, with Kavos and Benitses resorts...The first was just for fun and nightlife and the second mainly for sleeping during night - some kind of old men resort....A really want a combination of this.is this posssible in Tsilivi? We have just returned home from a fabulous 2 week holiday having stayed in the Planos Bay Apartments. A big thank you goes out to Linzi, Hayley, Fiona and the rest of the kids club crew for looking after our kids and helping them enjoy their holiday with your wild antics. Mikey, Ellie, Adam and Amy........A big thankyou from our hearts for making us all laugh and making our holiday definately one to remember. We all miss you. You are all a fantastic bunch of people and whenever you want to come over, give us or Kaz & Trev a call and you will all be more than welcome. I know that Callum won't mind !!!!!!!

Just got back from Planos Bay on 6th June after 2 weeks. Went with 3 other families with children aged between 1-8. It suited all ages, including the adults. Adam, Ellie & Amy (hotel entertainment staff) were great, they gave us plenty to do but not pushy. The resort was in walking distance with plenty of places to choice from. The nearby beach is n't much good but the main one is only 10 min walk away, which was much better.All in all, fab holiday and would recommend it to everyone. Was anyone else there the same time as us? we were the welsh lot!

HI KIM !I M LEE THE BAR MANAGER EVERYTHING ITS GREATE THE BAR IS OPEN 24/7 I ALSO DO THE POOL GAMES SO IT CANT BE ANYTHING ELSE BUT GREATE AND EVERYONE IS UP FOR A LUF.THE BEACH IS 5 MIN. AWAY BUT A BETTER ONE IS ABOUT 15MIN U GOING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME THERE SPECIALLY WITH THE TEAM ME AND GEORGE.

Sorry I haven't e-mailed back yet.  Have you heard from Mark and Louise?  My mail to them could not be delivered.  If you have any contact details I would be grateful for them.  Anyway.........you going back there some time?  We will and will take our daughter Sarah with us as she's a big fan of Tsilivi and George.  It was great meeting you all and I'm still amazed at you Gill, for drinking that wee vodka that Lee prepared on your birthday which I think was our last night!!!  Hope Scott's pool game has improved too.

It was the best holiday i"ve had the hotel was very clean all the staff were friendly and the first choice reps were lovely we"ve got two kids and they really enjoyed it  the kids clubs were great they layed some great things for the children to do. The entertainment team were very good with lots to do in the afternoon and evening,,even when the weather was bad they kept us entertained, especially George and Lee. We went in school term time and there were lots of other children there so they made lots of friends. The nearest beach was better than the main one in our opinion not so far to walk and wasn"t crowded just nice. Lots of choice of restaurants the food was good value and delicious especially the greek potatoes mmm yum yum! The Red Lion was great because there is a play area for the kids and you can eat in peace and quiet if they don"t fight. Coming home the airport is not as bad as you expect. michael daniel vince and sandra

i think if you ask first choice about breakfasts you get this peice of paper everymorning from reception and you can have the breakfasts for free, go for number 2s there well nice :D

they have a snack bar that does breakfasts, and they are nice, but there are plenty of nice brekkie places, we used a bar called utopia in the main street, propper english bacon,and good value for money...hope this helps...

We are going to planos bay next spring and have booked self catering. Can anyone tell me if we can book breakfast when we get there or does it have to be booked through first choice? Been to Tsilivi in 2003 and loved it, first time to stay at planos.

Hello Nick and/or Linda Wilson - I guess your sarcastic suggestion to 'get a life' was a response to my last posting here. My comment related only to the use of the kids clubs and was answered elsewhere. I have absolutely no problem with you frequenting Planos Bay during your holiday and am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the place as much as we did - its the best. I can put your mind at rest- I already have a life but thanks for your concern.

This is a bit cheeky cos we actually stayed at the Tsilivi Admirals but were never away from Planos Bay ( Yeh I know that some First Choicers are worried about subsidising us Thomas Cook plebs but........get a life!!). If you are looking for an entertaining holiday with great people then book a holiday here. 

A special hello and thanks must go to our friend George, the entertainments manager, who we know and love from last year  and also to Lee who became like an old friend in such a short time.  To both......."We hope you're there next year cos we will be!!!"

Returned from Planos Bay on Tuesday after a 2 week stay. It was our 1st time in Zante and we loved it.

George, Lee and Ben were great. I would like to thank George and Lee for keeping Ryan safe, and let them know he's still detoxing now.

The apartments are very clean with maid service every day.

We were on the second floor and did experience some noise at night. I would not want to be on a ground floor apartment as this would increase noise and also the patio/balcony would have no privacy.

Staff friendly and helpfull.

Location is very good.

We just got back yesterday and had a great time, george was hillarious, and the kids reps were great with the kids.our room was 120, and was next to the kitchens, so as last post mentioned very warm.

All rooms face the pool, which is what most of us want, but being on the ground floor, we had tables and chairs from the snack area right next to our patio, and kids coming up and asking to play with our kids toys, which got a bit annoying.. but apart from that it was fine, plenty of wardrobe space, shower on the small size tho, so make sure when you jump in do not hold the tap, because you'll burn yourself...lol (yes i did that)

plenty  of entertainment on, and weekends we had live music, which was good...All outside activities finnish at 12am, so little ones and old ones can get a good nights sleep.. 

i reccomend planos bay to anyone, so go book and enjoy yourselves.

The kids clubs and reps particularly for the younger ages were very good...my daughter who is 7 really enjoyed going to them ...my middle son on the other hand didnt fancy going to the wavelength one..he was quite happy playing footy, pool or swimming all day...

George the 'entertainment manager' was very friendly and funny..especially whilst playing volleyball...whenever he fluffed a shot and his team turned on him...all you could hear was 'Stopppppppppppppp Splashiiiinnnnnnnng' in his scottish accent...well funny...........I had the honour of putting make-up on his face before a 'battle of the sexes' quiz...oh what a night that was !!!

If the brochure states that all the rooms are 1 bedroomed then that usually means that there is a seperate bedroom containing perhaps 2 single beds and one double in the main room. This certainly is the case over at the Tsilivi admirals where we have stayed a number of times, and it is one of planos bays sister hotels.

PLEASE can someone let me know if the apartments have a separate bedroom or not. Some website seem to imply that they do, others not - or does t epend on what you book. The website sys that they are all 1 bedroom apts, but I'm not sure. Please help - THANKS !!

got back from planos bay on tue 30th August and had a brilliant time there,definately going back there a recomend the accomodation to anyone wanting to stop on the island of zante

We had a great holiday in July, our third family visit to Planos Bay. I wonder if anyone can explain something about the use of the excellent Kids clubs operated by First Choice? Although the Tsilivi Admirals is the sister hotel to Planos Bay this is used by Thomas Cook customers. Why are those customers told they can also use the Planos Bay kids clubs? Surely the price we pay to First Choice is at a level to expect good kids entertainment but I would be pretty unhappy to think that I was also subsidising TC customers (who probably paid less for their holiday at the Admiral). Can anybody explain what the position is as I have already re-booked Summer 2006 at our fav. hotel - Planos Bay.

i know this is a really sill question, but in the planos bay aprtments do they have coat hangers...last year when we went on holiday we enede up living in our suitcases..i have read all the reviews about this apartments, that i am really looing forward to going, but i would like to hang my clothes up this year, so if some kind person could tell me yes or no i would be very greatful..:)

I have just returned from a two week holiday at the Planos with my husband Felix and son David (15). It was our second year there. the hotel is well situated just outside the main centre of Tsilivi. It is convenient for everything. Food, bars, (one with Sky sports) and car hire. The hotel is superbly clean and the pool is one of the best around a good size and  clean. What made the holiday special was Chris and Angela who run the bar now. You are made to feel as if you are friends staying with them not guests to be put up with. The Greek night and barbecue were brilliant. We would love to go every year but fell we need to see other islands, having said that we do intend to return.

Going out here for two weeks end of August, 3 year old twins and baby...what's the accomodation like, do I need to bring formula etc for baby or is that type of thing readily available close by?

Absolutely fabulous what more can we say! Kids club was a saviour 'silly vee' was a favourite of ours they all worked hard tho to keep our children entertained. Would definately reccomend swim kids. Daniel and Ben the entertainers were a scream. Daniels rendition of chocolate salty balls was hilarious. Karaoke night was usually a disaster. Every other night of entertainment was great. The hotel was spotlessley clean, the maids did excellent job! Car hire from Margaris next door was a bargain and the owner was English, he was very helpful gave us a route to travel to all the places we wanted to go to! You have got to go to Two Brothers Cocktail Bar for a crazy night out your children are more than welcome! Tell them its your birthday and see the cocktail you get! Would definately return, no complaints at all!  

We had a fantastic time at Planos Bay. It was the best holiday we have had yet and we are definatly going back. The people we miss the most are the no underwearing BEN, the sexy Sharon Stone GEORGE and the unbelievably gorgeous, irresistable, sexy, funny and to die for LEE (By Leah)!!!!! 10days to go until we return here!!!! its our third year running!! this is gunna be the best year so far!! its just ashame that yannis, ilia and thespina wont be there at the bar, but definatly we will go and see them at friends bar.

We arrived back on Sunday evening (17th).  What a beautiful island to visit.  Planos Bay Apartments was ideal for our family's needs.  The rooms were well equipped and very clean.  The Kids Club staff were absolutely fantastic.  Many thanks to Silly Vee, Jolly Holly, Crazy Ciara, Exciting Emma, Nutty Nicole and all the staff for showing the kids a really great time!! 

We have just returned from holiday on 10/7/05, had a really great time here! would highly recommend it. Thanks to Daniel, Leah, Ben, Shauna and all the gang!

Just to let everyone know that Yannis and Thespina would love to see all their friends again, at their new bar 'Friends'.  We went to see them at the end of May, in time for Thespina's birthday, and had a great time, as usual. I have sent 3 pics, via Helena Watson's website.  We will be going back in September to see them, even though we're not staying in Tsilivi this time.  Yannis has all the old Guestbooks on the bar, so don't forget to have a look at them.

Hello Daniel, We had a great time at planos bay the kids loved it too. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms were kept clean and tidy at all times by the cleaners who went in everyday.    We Stayed at Planos Bay in May, the rooms were very nice and clean and the staff were very helpfull and friendly.  The only problem was it was more of a family orientated hotel and not so much for couples, so we didn't get the most peaceful, relaxing holiday which we wanted, but we did find a beautiful beach 10 mins away so we could catch up on sleep there!!

Hi Jue Jue, yes all plans have gone ahead for yannis and thespina. Some of the tsilivi workers have already gone over and have posted messages on the tsilivi message board to say that friends bar is up and running. I'm so pleased for them, as i'm sure you are too. Just incase you don't know where the bar is, it is situated next to the mac donalds (the one that never opened) LOL. The message i recieved was '' a lovely new bar called friends has opened''. We are going over on the 26th may - can't wait now. We didn't stay at the planos last year, we stayed at the admirals accros the road, but drank with yannis and co every night. LOL They are a great crowd, and can't wait to see them.

Hi Martin,
Yannis and Thespina did tell us that they would not be returning to the Planos this year, and talked about the possibility of running the pool bar again at the Zante palace (The place you can see in the hillside when standing on the beach). The zante palace did close last season, but there were talks of another tour operator taking it over. If this materializes, then Yannis and crew are hoping to be there. I will be phoning Thespina very soon. In the meantime, if you would like me to give you Yannis e-mail address, just send a post on here, and i will root it out and give it to you.
