Planos Aparthotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Vicky W

I have to second purple turtles comments below. Yannis and Thespina are a fantastic couple. They will defo make sure you have a fantastic holiday, both you and your children. And what a better hotel to stay in then the Planos. I stayed in the Admiral (planos sister hotel which is next to admirals) in October last year and I had a fantastic time! The entertainment in both these hotels are brill and i am sure you will have a great holiday. I have been to Tsilivi three times now and I hope to return soon.

Anne Marie. you will love Tsilivi and I think you will like the Admirals too, but each to their own. I have been to Tsilivi 3 times and am due to return in May with my boyfriend. In the past I have holidayed in Tsilivi with my mum, dad and two young brothers. The children loved The Admirals, and so did we. There is a kids club in the day, who are brilliant with the children and the childrens evening entertainment was good too. however, we did go out of the hotel in the evening to other venues, as  afterall, we wanted to explore Tsilivi, not just stay in the holtel every night. We found the pool to be clean, the apartments are clean too, and the maids are brilliant. There are expected to be teenagers around, as it is a family hotel. in-terms of noise, we stayed in the third and fourth rooms next to the pool area on the groung floor and didn't hear a sound, sleeping perfectly well.

As for Tsilivi itself, there are lots of restaurants to choose from which provide a range of delicious food, english and greek. lots of bars to choose from too, from quiet to lively disco bars and also those who entertain children with a play area and videos. The trips in Tsilivi are great too, i would reccomend the boat trip around the island.

I really do hope that you enjoy your trip to Tsilivi and your stay at the Admirals!

Lol the zante star and the admirals are at opposite ends of the resort. To walk from one hotel to the other would take about 45 minutes. Someone else left a message on the zante forum, asking the same question - don't know if that person was connected to you or not? The person who posted on the other site had family or friends who were going to be staying at the admiral, whilst they themselves were staying at the zante star.
The good thing is that between the two hotels, lie an ample amount of bars and restaurants, so if you were hoping to meet up with people from the other hotel, then you could always meet in town. That way there is less walking distance for both parties. Just for future reference - a taxi would cost you around 6 or 7 euro's.

hope this helps.

Going back to the admirals on 7th September. It will be our 4th time staying at this hotel and our 8th time in Tsilivi. I personally really like this hotel. We have always been happy with the rooms we have had (ground floor facing pool), and the staff are great.

I do think that Cas is right in what she says - i too have experienced people leaving their litter all over the place, expecting the staff and other people to clean up after them, and it is very unfair that these people should be so inconsiderate. But on the other hand i have experienced this in other hotels in other places too. We went on an all inclusive to Rhodes last September and people were even worse there, because food and drink were on hand for most of the day and evening.

What a ''good holiday/hotel'' etc is for one person may not be good for another, because we all have different tastes and opinions etc, so i think it is important that people should be allowed to go to a place and judge for themselves. Also i think we must also take into account the fact that a lot depends on when you go on holiday. For example, June, July and August may be a lot busier than say September/october time when i go - hence the reason why i have never had a bad experience at the admirals.

We have been to tsilivi as late as the end of october, and although some restaurants and bars are starting to close down, there are still ample places to eat and drink. I know a lot of people who go there in october and most places are open. You usually find that the ones that start to close down are the ones that remain quiet even in peak season, such as those that are in quiet and secluded places, The ones on the main roads are certain to be open, so no worries there.

Daisy Studios - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Helena W

Hi Julie,

The daisy is situated in a quiet location. It is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and about 10 minutes into Tsilivi. It is a lovely stroll though and not too far at all. It is actually in one of the best locations because you will get a decent nights kip.

You will find ample bars and restaurants in Tsilivi and will always find what you want, from lively to quiet greek taverna's. All stay open into the early hours. Hubby and i are 39 and 40 years old and we have been going to Tsilivi since 1999. We love it there.

Dazza,

We have found the same problem too - a huge increase in next years holiday prices.I queried this with Thomas cook, apparantly it is an increase in aviation fuel. We are going to the admirals next week and it has cost us just over £1100 for 2 adults and 2 kids. But the same holiday in May next year is an extra £500, and that isn't even school half term. Big increase i think. Hope you get something not too expensive

Airtours (MyTravel) - (Tour Operators in Zante)

Vicky W  (27 September 2006)

Having in the past travelled with Thomas Cook, we was a bit apprehensive of travelling with mytravel. HOWEVER, They were absolutly fantastic, from booking in the travel agents to the transfer rep, the rep based at the hotel to the air stewards, they were all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Hence, we have booked with them again for next year and even got a discount for being repeat guests!! Will defo continue to use mytravel for the forseable future!!

Amarylis Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Vicky W          10/10

Hi Linda. No it isnt as bad as people really say at all!! Anna doesnt expect you to eat in her snack bar everyday, even every other day!! To be honest your daughter will find her a lot cheaper then any other eatery in tsilivi... Anna doesnt expect you to eat here over any other restaurant, infact she will reccomend other restaurants..what Annas issue is is guests using her pool/sunbeds and bringing their own food and drink by the pool everyday, like most hotels/appartments in tsilivi, the pool bar owner rents the pool/bar off the hotel owners so their only income is what they make selling food and drink, so i dont blame her getting upset when people stay at the hotel for two weeks, using her sunbeds and not even buying a bottle of water at 1 euro or whatever, when thats the only money she makes. having stayed at the amaryllis before and going again next week, i can honestly say anna isnt as bad as people are making out on here....Anna and her family are lovely, the food is lovely and really cheap, full english for 3euro, come on what are people really moaning about??

Hi Stephen.. The Admirals is approx a five to Ten minute walk from the Two Brothers bar, depending on what pace you walk and if you call in any other bars on the way! LOL

Have you been to Tsilivi before?

That sounds like the Anna I know. Her husband nikos gave us a lift upto manos grill one night because we had a bad storm and it was pouring down, we asked her to ring a taxi but Nikos said 'no taxi, I give you lift'. Such a lovely family. I have heard a few comments about the owner and his mother, they didnt bother us to be honest but we just stayed clear of them. Hey, we might see you next year cos were hoping to go out next June too.
