Hi we have booked to go to Zante Star Hotel on August 20 and we cant find any maps showing where it is can anyone help us. Directions from Popeyes would be helpful. Thanks Julie

Lesley & Paul

Hi Heather, we went last year on 16th June for 2 weeks and this year we went on 1st June.  We have booked to go back next year on 7th June (for 3 weeks again!) i'm already looking forward to it - ONLY 10 MONTHS TO GO!!!!!

Heather G

Thankyou Lesley and Paul for letting us know about washer, as we are going for two weeks, if there is no washer we will need to take more pool towels.  I dont intend doing any other washing.  I know the bakery you mentioned we had many a coffee and scrumptious pastries etc.

What a dream going for three weeks, hope we could go for three maybe next year?  When did you go last year, as there were a few people staying for two weeks, we went Sunday 15 th May  2005 for one week. I keep thinking on the middle Sunday we may see the plane go when we will be by the pool only trouble is we will be on that plane the next Sunday.
Will say Hi to Yanni and co for you.

Lesley & Paul

The air con is payable locally.  Yanni or Dimitra on reception can sort it out for you.  Im not sure of the cost im afraid but it is worth every penny!

Lesley & Paul

Sorry Heather, as far as I am aware there is no washer at the Zante Star.  I did, however, spot a laundrette down in the town.  I think it was next to the bakery where they sell scrumptious pastries etc (how could I forget that?)!  I know what you mean about not wanting to go home as well, we first went to the Star for 1 week, then we went for another week the same year, then last year we went for 2 weeks and this year we went all out and stayed for 3 weeks!  Even on the day we were due to come home, we still weren't ready to leave.  Say hi to Yanni & co for us when you get there in September & have a great time!

Lesley B

I see from an entry on the site that the rooms now have air con.  Can anyone give me an idea of the cost and how it's paid??  Many thanks.

Lesley B

My partner and myself first went to the Zante Star when it was 6 weeks old!  Not really so long ago.  I have to say that Yanni and everyone gave amazing service, better than any hotel we have ever stayed in.  We have been meaning to return because it was, by far the best Greek holiday, we have ever had.  We are going back at the end of September and counting the days til we do.  Having read all the comments on this site, it seems things have only got better!  If that could ever be possible.

Heather G

For Lesley & Paul,

Thankyou  for letting us know about Brett, he was a great Rep and will be sorry not to see him, but Im sure we will have a great time!
I think we will be going back each year as Zante Star is such a lovely place to stay. We only went for a week last year, and didnt want to go home so we have booked for two weeks, could you let me know if there is a washing machine there.

Thankyou once again.

Lesley & Paul

For Heather & Mike,

Brett is no longer the rep at the Zante, it is a young lady called Christine (I think?).  Brett is working over at Lassi in Kefalonia but he visited the Zante Star while we were there in June.  He did say he would like to come back to Zante next year as it was a little bit quiet where he was.  You're right about Yannis & co.!  We've been 4 times now and have already booked to go back next year!!  Have a great time in September!

Heather G

We are going to Zante Star in September, this will be our second time, went last May for a week and booked for two weeks this year, cannot wait to go. Last year at  Zante Star was our best holiday ever, Yannis and his staff our fantasic nothing is too much trouble.  The race night and greek nights are not to be missed. Can anyone let us know if Brett is still the Olympic Rep, hope he is.

Message for Jo Carpenter,

All the rooms at the Zante Star now have Air Conditioning.  It is payable locally but well worth the additional expense!  The Zante Airport experience is one to behold but it all depends on how busy it is.  They are making improvements and have just opened a new arrivals lounge but they still have the queueing system for all departure flights.  As long as you make sure you have a bottle of water, you'll be fine.  I certainly wouldn't let this spoil my holiday.  The exceptional standards at the Zante Star far outway the small amount of hastle you will have at the airport - TRUST ME!!!!  As for booking early Jo, you can never be too early to book these apartments - they get snaffled up very quickly - go for it!!

Lesley & Paul

Hi Kylie,

YES, the Zante Star Apartments do have fridges.  They also have a kettle & toaster along with all the usual crockery and pans, plates, untensils etc.!  I'm sure you will have an absolutely fabulous holiday.  Enjoy.....................!

Kylie F

Hi my boyfriend and i are looking at going to Tsilivi for the first time and have been offered a great deal at the Zante star.  I was just wondering if the rooms had a fridge in them. If anyone could help that would be great2

Amy W

inland views not too bad. means you get a decent nights sleep, and to be honest, spent most of our time around the pool so it didnt matter! only got back yesterday, but want to go back tomorrow. best place to stay ever

Lesley & Paul

Hi, this message is for Sarah Lee.

The Zante Star Apartments are about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Tsilivi, 5 minutes to the beach.  We have visited these apts 4 times now and only arrived back home 22.06.06.  So jealous and green with envy that you are going in August!!  I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.  Give our regards to Yannis and co., they're the best hotel staff on the island, without a doubt!

Sarah L

we are booked to stay here in august.can anyone tell me where abouts in tsilivi it is?

Karen B

We returned from the Zante Star 2 weeks ago now and already planning to go back next year if we can.  The apartments are lovely and clean and have brand new air conditioning units. Yanis the hotel owner is a really nice guy who prides himself on his hotel and likes to know that you are pleased with all aspects of it.  He has a lovely little dog called Mickey who everyone gets to know and the kids love him.  We met lots of nice people there most of whom had returned again and again.  The only downside was Zante Airport itself.  You have to queue outside in a bus shelter before you check in your luggage when coming home and the departure lounge is small and very scruffy and hot.  I would hate to have to return in July and August as it was bad enough at the beginning of June at about 8.00pm in the evening.

Thanks to Yanis and staff for making our holiday a memorable one.

Nigel B

Just back after one week of utter relaxation

What a superb Hotel (considering its only apartments, it deserves to be called a Hotel of the highest degree)!
So clean and so friendly. Nothing was too much troubleclick to enlarge

The Pool, the Views ALL EXCELLENT

See you soon "MIKKI"  We'll be back for sure

Tracy W

We have just spent  a week's holiday at the Zante Star and wanted to tell people what a great choice it is.

The location is great, slightly elevated and away from the resort centre, so there's no music and traffic noise to keep you awake.
The apartments are extremely clean and the staff very helpful and friendly, always a smile :)
(And if you like dogs there's a real cutey called Mikki)
It only takes approx 10 mins amble down to the beach, which is reasonably quiet and clean.
And just 10 mins walk into the resort centre, which has plenty of bars/resturants/shops etc
All in all we would definately recommend the Zante Star, it was a great holiday!

Andy T

This is our 4th year in sucession that we will be returning to the Zante Star.  The hotel is immaculate and so is the pool due to Yannis' careful checks everyday.  There are entertainment evenings laid on during the week and the children definately love race night - so do the adults.  Our daughter is 7 now and always makes friends there.  The hotel is small enough for the children to go and do their own thing and sometimes we don't see our daughter all day - except for food and drink.  The weather in May should be quite hot and the evening stay warm as well - you may want a cardy if you feel a chill - but I wouldn't have thought so.  We're going on 28 May so will probably see you there.

Emma R

Karen:

We stayed here in June last year and had a fantastic time, couldn't have asked for a better hotel for the price.

In regards to what your daughter will have to do the hotel itself doesn't cater for children especially but there is a fantastic pool which is lovely and clean and very safe, and a pool table and table tennis. There is a greek night once a week and a night at the races once a week (probably more for children than the greek night - is a good laugh, hard to explain but you get to put a bet on and if your horse wins you'll get more money back) which she should enjoy. I'm sure she'll love Mickey the hotel's dog and Yannis is fantastic with kids but be warned - he will tell them off if they are mucking about or annoying other visitors. When we went in June there was a couple of families with kids but most of them were younger, about 7 or 8 years old.

The resort itself has got a bowling alley, crazy golf and there is horse riding as well which she might enjoy. All the bars and restaurents seemed to welcome children so should be no problems on that front.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time!

Lesley & Paul

It is now only 5 weeks and 2 days (& about 45 minutes!!) before we return to the Zante Star.  We cannot tell you how much we are looking forward to our extended stay this time!  We have stayed at the Zante Star 3 times (this will be our 4th) and each time is better than the last!  I know Pete & Judy are also returning this year - see you on the 8th folks!  That's the thing with the Star, once you've been you just want to keep on going back again, year after year!!  We have some friends who left it too late to book and couldn't get in at the Star and are staying at the Ariedne Apartments up on the hill.  The moral of this story is to Book Early!!!!  Just want to say hi to everybody we met last year and hope to see some familiar faces around the pool, and bar of course!!  Get the WOOWOO's on ice Yannis, can't wait to see you all!

We stayed at the Zante Star last year and loved it. The place was modern and really nice. Regarding whether you can stay late in your rooms - I think it best to check with your tour operator. If they are fully booked (word is getting around that its a good place, so likely to be!) then chances are you will not be able to hold onto the room.

After saying that, the owners are very accomodating - we had a night flight out, and arrived at the apartments at 8am! They were fully booked, but couldn't apologise enough for not having a room for us to go straight to. We could leave out luggage in the bar, and they were quite happy for us to rummage through the luggage and use the loos to change into something cooler! They gave us free drinks, whilst we waited, and they kept to their word, and cleaned our room immediately the peolpe left. As a result we were in by 10.30am.

We liked Tsilivi, and will certainly look to go back to the Zante Star when we visit the island again.

Margaret P

Can anybody tell me if you can get late check out rooms & if so how much. Can you prebook them before you go or is it best to do it once you are thee?

Just back from another excellent two weeks at the Zante Star(11-25th). Arriving back at the hotel was just like coming home. It was instantly relaxing and it was nice to see the old faces (Hello Yanni). In my last review thing in Sept last year I wittered on about the excellent service, food etc. and the way the place is kept spotlessley clean in all areas of the complex, and I am happy to report that the high standards have not slipped at all. (God, the food is good!)

All credit must go to Yannis and his team for ensuring that our holiday met and exceeded all our expectations, we will be back. I have never been to a hotel before where every member of staff ensures that your stay is trouble free and happy. Keep doing what you are doing.

Hi, i've booked to go on the 8th October, going by the reviews here i've made a good choice. Has anyone been this time of year and can tell me anything about the climate at this tiem of year and if all bars / restaurants are still open etc. As its coming towards the end of the season, i'm a bit worried.....  thanks.

Patrick S

The Zante Star has to be the place to stay in Tsvilli. From the moment you arrive Yannis and his family make you welcome, you arrive as Guests and leave as Friends. The Hotel and the poolside are kept spotlessly clean. The appartments a well furnished with all the equipment you need for your Holiday. The Hotel is elevated (not suitable for those with difficulty walking) and provides what must be one of the best locations in Tsvilli. Being 10 mins walk from the centre it provides the perfect location by being close to all the facilities but also very quiet. We have visited Zante about 10 times this was our first visit to the Zante Star- our next 10 visits will be to the Zante Star !-Our only regret was that we had to leave!

Kevin S

We were at the Zante Star between 4th and 18th September.  Thoroughly recommend the place.  Accommodation is spotlessly clean and tidy.  The rooms are very nice (recommend balcony view as the inland views can be a bit too close to the cockerels in the morning).  The bar and lounge areas are spacious and well kept.  Special mention for the pool area though, the water was incredibly clean and always inviting.

Although S/C, food is served right up until 5.30pm and it’s all excellent, we should know, we tried damn near everything on the menu!

Evening entertainment was a cracking laugh, especially the Greek night.  The quiz and race night was excellent too.  There are plenty of communal books and magazines (left by departing holidaymakers) for those that really want to chill out.

Having seen other accomodation in passing whilst out and about, and seeing many more on our coach transfer to return home, it merely confirmed what this site had told us before we departed - that we’d booked by far the best accommodation in Tsilivi.

All in all, it’s a really clean, nicely designed, laid back and friendly place to stay.  Many thanks to Jannis and his hard-working daughters/staff (especially Irene and Irina), you made our stay one to remember for all the right reasons.

Must mention the dog Mikkee too, what a character.

Kev and Michaela.

Had a fantastic holiday. We were a party of two families, kids ages 15,14,11,11,9 and they loved Tsilivi. There was so much for them to do including a brand new bowling alley and crazy golf. The Zante Star is by far the best place to stay in Tsilivi. Yannis is so proud of his hotel and it shows. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely and friendly. Hello to Irina and Irene. The pool was kept spick and span and each night all the sunbeds were put back in line and the area tidied. The beach was only about 500m away and had numerous watersports. We will definitely be returning to the Zante Star in the near future and I'm sure it will be even better once the air conditioning is fitted for next summer. Thank you for a lovely holiday to al the staff at the Zante Star.

John

Can anybody tell me if there is a childs swimming pool please?

The brochure says the Zante star has direct access to the beach can anyone tell me which beach it is near? As there seems to be comments about a few different beaches in the resort?

Julie

After a fantastic holiday last year at the Zante Star we decided to return this year and combine a family holiday with our wedding.

It was the best decision we could have made. All wedding preparations were seen to for us by the lovely and incredibly helpful Olympic rep, Laura, for whom nothing was too much trouble and we were able to relax until the day of our wedding.
On the actual day (July 11th '05) everything went as planned and we married on 'The Balcony' overlooking the sea. Upon our return to the Zante Star, the champagne was ready on ice and a fabulous meal awaited our guests. We certainly had a day to remember with Yanni and all his staff going out of their way to ensure it was special. Thank you.

A big hello to all those we met whilst on holiday this year and to the lady who has asked about taking her baby, we had two babies in our party and they seemed to enjoy their time as much as we did, all amenities are provided, enjoy your stay  Smile

Heather G

Hi   Yes there is a fridge and kettle and Im sure it will be perfect for a baby  Have a great holiday we did in May and will be back next year, everthing was excellent

Laura C

Hello, we are going to Zante star at the beginning of September I am taking my 5mnth old baby, so a bit nervous!!! can anyone tell me if there is a fridge and a kettle so I can do her bottles etc??? Has anyone else stayed here with a baby? How was it?

Jon B

Just arrived back from The Zante Star. It can only be described as "Perfect".
Rooms spotless, adequate and secure. Pool and the area around it brilliant and perfect for kids. You can eat outside with views of the countyside and the ocean or inside in the air conditioned dining area. The food is excellent and the prices are equally as good. You could describe the hotel as big enough to cope and small enough to care, with your host, Yianni, looking after you.
The staff are great and anything you want done will be done.

Tsilivi centre is 10 minutes walk down the road and there is plenty to do down there. Bars and restaurants galore. Great beach is 10 minutes away too with plenty of sunbeds around as well as beach bars.

All in all a top place to stay and will definitely be back, thanks to all at the Zante Star!!

David W

Second visit to Zante Star, thought last year was great but this year even better. Yanni, his daughters and all the rest of the staff are great. Fantastic bunch of people there when we were there (30th July-14th August). Myself, Cathy, Louise and Laura made some great new friends, even met old friends who also were there for a second time. Cannot fault the place, well done Yanni for making it another memorable fortnight.

Dawn L

Myself and my partner Bill went over for my friend Kerry's wedding along with numerous other people. We had a fabulous time. Yanni and his staff were excellent and really went out of their way for Kerry and Pete. The accommadation was lovely and clean. It really was a good holiday and we are considering booking our honeymoon there August next year.

Adam S

Sorry!
Is there a waterpark there ??

Jon B

Not been to Zante before and wasn't quite sure if it would be any good. Having read all the comments about it and the Zante Star in particular, which we were lucky enough to get into, it seems we are going to have a brilliant holiday.
One important question though, will my 15 year old daughter continue with her endless " I'm bored " routine???
We went to a friend's apartment in Tenerife in April but there were no other kids about so it was too quiet for her.
Reply appreciated.
Jon

Emma R

lol sorry about that! but have just gone back and read her comments and i cant believe what she said. yannis was a perfect host and tried his best to please everyone who was staying there. there were several different families with children while we stopped there and he was wonderful with all the children. yes he would say something if they were making a nuisence of themselves such as running about the corridors making noise or hogging the pool table after their game had finished and other people wanted to play on it etc. but i would expect i good host to say something when things like this are happening.

i can only think she is the type of person who takes exception to anyone criticising her kids in any way at all.

also her comments about the rooms are completely unjustified. yes the rooms are not the biggest you around but they are certainly not as small as she makes out. they are certainly big enough for what you need, and who on earth spends a lot of time in their rooms when they are on holiday. at the end of the day you do not pay a lot of money to go on this holiday, and its true you get what you pay for. in my opinion for the amount the holiday costs you get above and beyond what you'd expect.

also the apartments do have a kettle in them now but there is still no toaster.

and on a final note, i think the rating this hotel has (10/10) speaks for itself.

Kerry L

Tracy is Yannis partner. She wasnt in the hotel through June and possibly before as she is in the UK currently caring for her mum.

Heather G

Re the comment for Emma, no it wasnt for you Emma  it was for Emma Abele who made comments last year MAY it was when I was reading all the comments I was so surprised to read the comments she had made about Yannis, sorry for the confusion.

Emma R

there was no one called tracey while we were there. there was yannis and the two girls behind the bar who were both calle irena.

what did tracey do? we were there in june and there was no one called tracey working there then. only other person was yannis wife/partner (cant remember which) but we never saw her and yannis said she is quiet ill at the moment and spends a lot of time in bed. cant remember what he said her name was though.

Louise E

Can anyone tell me if tracey is still in this hotel, nobody seems to mention her only yannis

Emma R

excuse me was that comment aimed at me? i never said a bad word about yannis in my comments! all i said was that he has a word with people who are making trouble for other guests, like children running up and down the corridors shouting!

Heather G

Hi have been reading comments made by Emma, well just to let you know Yannis is a lovely friendly host, nothing is too much trouble and he is great with the children, prehaps Emma should read all the comments made by other holiday guests.  Zante Star is a great place and so is Yannis and all his wonderful staff.

We have just returned from the holiday of a lifetime.  The hotel is the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in in any of the Greek Island.  The brochure just doesnt do it any justice.  The rooms are spacious and VERY clean. The maid comes in every day to clean and empty the bins and the linen and towels get changed every other day.  The facilities were great too, the food was lovely and really reasonable.  The Greek Salad was delicious!

Yannis lays on entertainment during the week, there is a Pool competition, race night and Greek night.  They are not to be missed!!!

Our holiday was made more special as we got married during our stay.  We had 28 guests with us to celebrate us and Yannis and his staff extended thier hospitality and welcome to everyone of our guests.  He and Christina (she works on reception) worked hard to help us have the day of our dreams and no amount of thanks will ever be enough to show them how grateful we are for their efforts.  The reception was held in the hotel and it was just transformed to accommodate all our guests for a delicious feast,  Yannis had even flown his mum in from Athens to cook and we were honoured to sample her cheese bread and stuffed vine leaves!!!

All I can say is that if you are going to be going to the Zante Star for the first time - you will NOT be disappointed and that you will have the best holiday ever!!!

Hello to Yannis, Christina, Irene and Irena.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for the best most memorable holiday ever!! Kerry and Pete xx

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME NAME OF TOUR OPERATOR OPERATING FOR ZANTE STAR APARTHOTEL. MANY THANKS

Kathy W

Think it is hotelzantestar@acn.gr

Kathy W

What a wonderful place to stay.  Have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Zante Star.  This is the nicest self catering accomodation I have stayed in in Greece.  The bar/lounge area is air conditioned but is opened up during the day to let the lovely breeze in.  The pool is fabulous - and it really is the size it looks in the brochure!  The Greek Night was a real laugh and we enjoyed the quiz and race night.

The whole place is spotlessly clean and extremely well managed and run.  We stayed in a double room with a huge double bed, although I agree the apts would be a little cosy with 4 adults in, OK for mum dad and 2 children though.  We had a quiet room at the rear on the top floor (apart from the cockerels but you soon get used to them!)

Yiannis the owner is quite rightly very proud of his hotel and works extremely hard to ensure all his guests are happy, not easy sometimes with such a mix of people and their individual requirements for a perfect holiday.  To give him his due he does this extremely well.  All the staff are brilliant, particularly Irene and Ireni who work in the bar, such friendly hardworking girls - nothing is too much trouble for them.    As for Mikki he is adorable you cant fail to fall in love with him, even if you dont like dogs!.

We met some lovely people, hello to Judy & Peter and Lesley & Paul (never did get to the beach Peter!!!)

All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday.  A lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Tsilivi but not so far that you cant walk there in 10 minutes.  Oh and if you stay here try the Demeras Taverna, turn left outside the hotel walk about 500 yards.  Traditional greek food served in a peaceful country setting.  Perfect.

If we return to Zakynthos we will certainly be staying at the Zante Star.

Hi to Yiannis - remember life is so hard for you !!  Kathy & Larry xx

Tracie C

anyone know if yannis from the zante star apts got an email address please

the zante star doesnt have air conditioning but fans for hire if u need them. which we didnt, i got back last week i WILL be staying there again it has everything, which yannis and his staff make sure you get

it was the best holiday i have ever had . hotel, town, locals absolutely fantastic.yannis the owner is great, but best of all was irena behind the bar at night, her cocktails are amazing.

Liz B

What can I say, everything has being said before......
Just got back from a week at the Zante Star - it is THE BEST place we've stayed in Greece.
I would thoroughly recommend it to all.
We're looking to get back there asap. My 5 year old cried on the way to the airport, as she wanted to stay        longer!!!

Emma R

An excellent hotel, the apartments were spotless and cleaned every single day (normally between about 12 and 2pm) and bed linen and towells changed twice a week. Plus toliet roll is provided throughout your stay instead of just at the start which makes a nice change in greece so need to bring some in your suitcase.

Rooms are lovely, and we stopped in a double (which actually had a double bed rather than 2 singles which was lovely) and there was also a sofa which pulled out to make another double bed. As you walk into the room your come into the kitchen, with the bathroom off to the right and also an area just past the kitchen with the sofa. Then in a seperate room is the main bedroom and leading off that is the balconey with a table and 4 chairs. Not the largest rooms in the world but more than adequate for what we needed but i could imagine it may be a little cramped if 4 people were stopping in there.

The other big plus is, that unlike most self catering accomodation the kitchen has everything in it, 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 mugs, 4 cups, 4 sets of cuttelry etc etc. Not that we did much cooking, after all who wants to cook on holiday!

Yannis and the two Ireana's (the two girls behind the bar) and wonderful and do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Yannis is very proud of his hotel and keeps the communal areas looking lovely, and soon has a word with anyone disturbing other guests (yes both kids and adults coming home in the early hours... LOL). The pool is lovely and while we were there (05.06.05 til 19.06.05) there was more than enough sun loungers to go around. The pool is wonderfully clean and has a gorgeous view across the hills and olive groves especially when sitting at the top end.

The entertainment is good as well, the greek night is a good laugh with nice food but beware that they won't take no for an answer when they get everyone dancing! The pool competition is good fun and the quiz night is a laugh, especially the races part (especially when Yannis gets you to be the jockey like he did with me!).

All in all we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and met some great people, especially Nicole and Lee. Hopefully we'll be back for a week in september or if not next year!

And make sure you say hello to Mikki for us! X

And to the person who asked about A/C, no the apartments don't have it but you can hire a fan from reception which is great for when it gets a bit too hot to be comfortable. Just open the doors but leave the mozzie screens shut and turn the fan on and you'll be fine!

Eddie G

Brilliant accomadation placed perfectly, set back but very close to the beach and resort centre. Ideal for families and couples a like. The staff were extremely helpful and looked after your every need.  Yannis who I think was the owner or at least ran the place was a great fella who seemed determined to meet everyone,s requirements. I will be there again next year with the Mrs and kids this time. Yanis we will have that England vs Greece Table Tennis match next year.

Damian E

We spent 2 weeks (22.5.06 - 5.6.05) at the Zante Star and can honestly say that we had THE most fantastic holiday! Yannis and his staff bend over backwards to ensure that your every want is catered for whilst you relax in the spotless, safe and beautiful surroundings. The service is first class and always delivered with a smile!

Tsilivi beach is excellent with every watersport you could imagine and very safe for children. Tsilivi town provides for every palate (the big 'M' can even be found!!!)

On a personal note - many many thanks to Yannis and all your staff for making our holiday so memorable. We now have the 'bug' and are definitely coming back next year for the same 2 weeks!

A big 'HELLO' to all we met whilst there especially Rob, Donna, Danielle and James.

Next year can't come quick enough - the Zante Star is that good!

Paul

We returned to the UK after a fantastic week in Tsilivi and the Zante Star. The resort is excellent for couples and the beach is lovely and just a 10 minute or so walk from the hotel or main resort. The Zante star is a great hotel, the pool food and room service cannot be faulted and Yannis the owner and daughter Urine (behind the bar) and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. When we return to Zante we will definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it unreservedly to our friends and others also. The people we met were lovely and if you get a chance, definitely seek out Captain Spyros and the Levante speed boat from Tsilivi Harbour for the ride of your life to the famous Shipwreck Beach and Blue Caves - at 35 euros each this 1/2 day trip should not be missed and the skipper will guarantee you a great time with his seafaring stories!!! (the boat goes out at 8.30am each day and returns to the beach harbour at 1pm with a stop off at lovely st nicolas's harbour for a spot to eat). This trip beats the larger ferry type boat trips hands down - hello captain and hello to all at the Zante Star hotel!!! love Paul and Sharon, London xxx

Gail S

well what more can we say other than the holiday was just brilliant! we have travelled to many places around the world but we have to say that the zante star hotel is about one of the best ever.

we had an appartment overlooking the pool, the views were out of this world, the apartment was spotless, the staff were brilliant and the food was just fab.

we made many friends whilst we were there as the place is so friendly, we would like to thank yannie and all his staff for the best holiday every, we would also like to thank brett our travel rep for his assistance and advice.

we strongly recommend that you hire a jeep, we did for 3 days and managed to see the entire island, well worth every single penny. the island is beautiful and well worth seeing

we could not fault anything what so ever. hi to everyone we got to know whilst we were there especially tracy, mitch and ruth who gave me a go on their scooter !! what a laugh that was!!!!!

love to you all, "thank you" love to mikki too !! xxxxx

Rob A

We would just like to say thenk you very much to Yannis and his staff for making our stay at the Zante Star so special it is the best holiday we have had, we made some great friends who will be friends forever.  It is a wonderful place to stay, great for families and couples.  The hotel is very clean and the views are fantastic, with the beach only a short walk away.  There is a wide range of entertainment available in the evenings and everybody is made welcome.  All in all it is a wonderful place to stay and we will definitley be going back next year.

Heather G

Hi Yannis and all the staff at Zante Star
We got back from a lovely holiday staying at the Zante Star 22nd May 2005, we were in the travel agent 9.30 am on Monday 23rd May to book for September, we will be back on 25th September.

It was our first time in Greece and what a holiday, the Zante Star is EXCELLENT, it was our best holiday ever.  Yannis and his staff are so friendly and Mikki the little Pekanese dog is so friendly we tried to put him in our bag to bring him back to the UK.  The Greek night was great not to be missed, and so was the pool night with Yannis.   The rase night was fantasic with Brett.
The   pool is lovely so clean, and the snack bar is great food is so good value for money the English breakfast is great, so are all the meals especially the greek salad.

The Zakfari was a great day out and not to be missed, our driver and guide was Paul and he is great, it is well worth the money.  Our trip to the blue caves was cancelled due to watere too rough, but hope to go on the trip in September.

The apartment was so clean, we had a pool view and it was lovely sitting on the balcony.

Hi to everyone who was staying at the same time as us, all the people we met were lovely.

Michelle T

Hello there! myself and my boyfriend returned just a week ago from a fantastic hoilday in Zante, largely due to the splendid Zante Star  You cannot help but feel welcome from the minute you walk in, the surroundings are brand new and modern, the pool is big and the whole complex overlooks the beautiful green surroundings of Zante and beyond that the sea. Tucked behind the hotel are quaint little lemon trees and goats tethered - yes it is in the sticks but it's less than a ten minute walk to Tsilivi town where you'll find numerous bars, restaurants and shops (go to "The Olive Tree" restaurant if you can - scrumptious steak!) Anyway enough of the brochure talk if you're lucky enough to be staying in Zante you HAVE to stay at the Zante Star. Yannis and all the staff welcome you as a warm friend ("Yammas!"), including Mikki the cutest Pekanese dog ever. The Greek night is not one to be missed; complete with Zakynthion dancers - well all I can say is sitting down and observing is not an option!! It was brilliant, we've never had so much fun. In fact we tried to get a later flight home but couldn't - next time!

Things to do in Zante - the boat trip out to the Shipwreck and the Blue Caves was absolutely breathtaking. The sea is several shades of the brightest blue (where the sun reflects off the water) and is unlike sea you'll see anywhere else and the caves are surreal - almost spookily so! I would also recommend hiring a Jeep and touring the island at your own steam, you see random churches and pretty buildings and can get way high up in the mountains for some amazing sights. All in all I would say it's the best holiday I've ever been on and we hope to make a return trip in September!
Hi to everyone who was staying at the same time as us, the children and all the people we met were lovely.

Me M

Went here last year and am going again July. Lovely apartments but no air conditioning except in the lounge downstairs. Didn't need air con last year as we were in an inland apartment and it was lovely and cool in the evenings.

Kev S

Does the Zante Star have Air Conditioning? Never been to Zante and going in September. Friend told me that it was nice but his accomodation had no A/C and it was really uncomfortable sometimes.

Helen L

Yes it does have a kettle, but you have to wait a long time for it to boil, the kitchen essentials are quite good(not that I used them), you have the usual cups, plates & cutlery, the basics.

Kerry B

Hiya Have 2wks to go to have holiday of lifetime but can anyone tell me what the kitchen facilites are....& does it have a kettle?

Helen L

What a great hotel and place to stay, the hotel is very clean and you are well looked after.  Can't fault the place what so ever. Many thanks to all the staff you do a great job. Hope to go back sometime soon

Lisa N

ZANTE STAR APARTHOTEL

Smiley Hi all just got back from Zante on Sunday. We stayed at the Zante Star Apartments and it was brilliant. I have been to one of the bigger hotels in Tsilivi before (Tsilivi Beach Hotel) but these apartments were far better! The hotel is lovely and clean and the rooms are great, our balcony over looked some olive groves and some very chatty chickens!

The pool is a reasonable size and clean the snack and bar area are lovely too. The food was amazing and I thought rather cheap, definatley try the tuna bap it was yum and the Greek Salad! The best thing about the place though was the staff they really set the place apart especially from the more miserable looking staff at the bigger hotels. Yanni was brilliant but beware he will get you drinking and even playing a game of pool! The entertainment was great, something for everyone and great place to take kids Yanni was great with them and even arranged pool competitions with prizes. The greek night and BBQ is an absolute must though, excellent traditional food and dancing, however be prepared to get up and participate they won't take no for an answer. The hotel's dog Mickey is so cute and is also great with kids. I can not say a bad word against the place anyone booking will not be disapointed!

The Zakfari was really good and a definate must I think it was well worth the money but make sure you book through your tour operator at the meetings I am not sure what the other group tour would be like and yes we saw the famous black dog who chased cars!

Kim P

First day back at work  after a wonderful holiday in Zakynthos thanks to Yannis, his lovely wife and all of his fantastic staff at the Zante Star.  Zakynthos is a beautiful Island with lots of things to see and do.  Staying at the Zante Star just made everything perfect.  I would definitely go back and would recommend anyone to stay there.

For all of you who want contact details, I will post them on the board tomorrow.  I know I picked up Yannis card on the way out, but can't remember where I put it !..... obviously still in holiday mode

Gwyneth E

Don't think the messageboard is working right, in case you read this Yanni, it was meant to say everything was excellent on the ratings but it didn't work!!!!

Gwyneth E

Add your comment here..Stayed here for the second time (unheard of for us), it was still excellent  and fully lived up to our high expectations,  Yanni is the best and  we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend the Zante Star, the only thing missing was Tracy, she is the hostess with the mostest, this just means we will have to go back again  !!!

Paul T

had a great time if anyone has a good contact for the place could you pass it on on as we want to go back

Cathy D

myself & ian went to greece for the first time & stayed at the zante star,it was the first year they wherew trading & we gota bargain, this is the best hotel you will ever find in zante & we'd like to say hello to yannis & his wife. xxxxx

Helena W

Hi Kerry, in Tsilivi there are a few horse drawn carriages that are taxying back and forth all the time during the evenings. Not sure how you would go about finding a place to book a horse and carriage, but if you are going to be out there a day or so before you get married, you could always try and come to an arrangement with one of the owners of the horse and carriages. There are a few of them and they may be able to help you.

good luck.

Graham W

any one going to be staying at the zante star appartments from 1 may 2005 or have you stayed at the same appartments...we would love any info you can give to us thankyou

Charlotte

hiya

read my previous comments. (this is a teenagers view by the way as that is what i am)what i'll add is that when u come out of the hotels main entrance you can turn left and right. i can't remember cos i went a couple years a go now with my mum and dad , but ask, but one way you get to the supermarket shop, very useful and the other to the beach.

have great time

charlotte

Tracey P

In reply to Liz Brown's questions..

The Zante Star is about 10 mins fron the beach - lovely with gentle sloping waters, watersports and beach refreshments - also there is always someone selling fresh fruit and doughnuts walking up and down the beach.  The Bars and Taverna's are a 15 min walk away (max).  The Zante Star does wonderful food from Breakfast time, right thru to tea time (5pm approx) at excellent prices.

Leaving the Zante Star and going to the left you will find a lovely fish restaurant, and on the junction of the road running thru Zante's main street (with many restaurants and bars on it) you will see Sandra's Bar.  You will get a wonderful welcome from Sandra and Costas, and the children are always welcome.  You get a free shot with your first drink, great reason to give it a try.  The main street can also be reached by turning right, and walking along the lane parallel with the beach.  Some restaurants are aimed at families, but don't feel that you should restrict yourself to them.

We stayed at the Zante Star in 2003 with our children (then 3 and 5 years old), and everything about the Apartments, location, and resort was brilliant.  We are going back in August 2005 and from what we read on these pages it is even better.  We were not aware that you could not inprove on perfection.....

Enjoy your holiday.

Liz B

We are staying at the Zante Star Hotel in June 2005, (4 adults and a 5 year old)
Have being to Zante before, but not Tsilivi. Are used to the ways of Greece !!,
but wonder what the Star is like. Is it close to the beach? What are the roads like to the tavernas etc. Will it be suitable for my little girl?
Any comments from someone who has already being there would be much appreciated.

Kerry B

we are getting married in June and want a horse drawn carriage which is a service our wedding co-ordiantor doesnt give. Does anyone know where or if we are able to get one?

Gobnait H

gobnaitleech@yahoo.co.uk thanks!

Julie Y

HI GOBNAIT U CAN SEND ME YOUR EMAIL. TO SEE IF I CAN HELP IN ANY WAY. I CAN IMAGINE HOW FRUSTRATED U ARE WITH ALL THIS.

Gobnait H

Julie is there anyway i speak to you or e mail you? can i give you my e mail address?

Gobnait H

Local registry office will not give us our certs of no impediment as i am irish (southern Ireland) even though my partner is English.. We booked our holiday through Thomas Cook.

Julie Y

REGARDING YOUR MARRIAGE IN TSILIVI. YOU HAVE TO OBTAIN YOUR NO-IMPEDIMENTS FROM YOUR LOCAL REGISTRY OFFICE. WHO HAVE YOU BOOKED YOUR WEDDING WITH.

Gobnait H

MY PARTNER AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED IN ZANTE IN MAY. I AM IRISH AND MY PARTNER IS ENGLISH, AND WE CANNOT GET CERTIFICATES OF NO IMPEDEMENT AS I AM IRISH EVEN THOUGH NONE OF US HAVE EVER BEEN MARRIED BEFORE. CAN ANYONE TELL US WHAT TO DO. THANK YOU.

Charlotte B

yes, just cooking rings, yes they have fridges, supermarket down the road, should have all you need. theres two ways of going from the htel. bug supermarket down the road on the corner, keep going and u get to the main town with tavernas and restaurans, bars, clubs. i think the other way, they have v. nice little tavernas.

enjoy.

Mike V

does anyone know if there are fridges in the appartments?! and do you just have cooking rings to cook with? is there a supermarket style shop anywhere nearby?

Charlotte B

the town is near by. walking distance. loads of good restaurants and bars near by...

Charlotte B

the appartments are small but hopefully you'll get used to it. when we went a couples of years a go they didn't have fans - i think they do now tho. the cooking facilities are small. we mostly went out - although it gets expenssive. they do nice snacks during the day aat the hotel, but they stop them about 5. didn't use cooker stove really .

have a good holiday. i'm sure it will be hot - its greece !

Mike V

does anyone have any details of what the inside of the 1 bedroom appartments are like? what are the cooking facilities etc...? am going there in june 05, will it be hot enough?!

Julie H

have booked to stay here in aug 2005, can anyone please let us know the location of the zante star in the town. many thanks.

Tom W

I think the Zante star is a brill place. When people complain about dogs and it being unhighgenic well their wrong. If the place is clean and the dogs are trained to go out side and do their buisness then their is nothing wrong with havingpets in a public hotel. The last time i went to the Zante star was 2 years ago and the whole family loved it And we will go back in a years time so we can enjoy the sun.
Dont let any one get you down the Woolley family(Tom,Beth, colin and sheighla

Julie

The zante website is hotelzantestar@acn.gr. Hope this helps.

Lukas G

can someone give me the e-mail address for the Zante Star.

Malcolm A

Just back from a great week at Zante Star .. superb in every way ..Mikki won our hearts with those big round eyes and Yanis and his staff are simply the best .. thanks to Yanis for the champagne and the tee shirt after the pool competition .. great fun ..can't wait to come back again

Barbara A

Hello to Yanis and all your fantastic staff. (Sorry we didn't meet you Tracey but did here you are "the hostess with the mostest"). This IS deffinatly the best accomodation we have ever stayed at anywhere on a Greek Island. Our two weeks at the Zante Star were very relaxing. All the staff are absolutly lovely people. Their cook is excellent we had some lovely pool side meals. The location is superb with a nice stroll into Tsilivi town for cocktails and resturants.
We were worried about all the steps but found them a minor problem. A luguage lift would be handy in any future plans. but this would not deter us from going back there over and over again.
Suitable for people of all ages.
Brilliant, just go there.
Thankyou from Barbara and Paul

Chris B

Well, what can you say? We had a look at the reviews on this site before we booked our holiday here and thought that the place would be to good to be true. On our return to the UK, I wanted to say some negative things about the place on this site (to keep other people away), but my partner tells me that I must tell the truth, so here it is - This is THE BEST PLACE IN GREECE. Best accomodation, Best location, Best staff, Best cleaners, Best pool, Best everything really...Book it and prepare to relax...Quick hello to everyone we met in the bar :-) See you soon, Regards, Chris and Sue in Stoke.

Stuart M

Just got back and have to say in over 20 years of travelling to Greek Island these are the best appartment that we have stayed in. All the staff are great and your hosts Yannis and Tracy will make you feel welcome. Location is a little out of town for anyone not wanting ot do any walking and beware all the steps!
Thanks for a fantastic two weeks.

Sharon G

To all at the Zante Star, many thanks for making our holiday special. Les and myself are proudly wearing the t-shirts from the pool competitions. These are definately the best apartments we have ever stayed in. Although self-catering, the food prepared on site was lovely and well worth the money. Yanni, hope you have now fully recovered from your accident. Be rest assured we will be back next year, so I will be taking lessons in table tennis!! Would highly recommend this hotel.

Julie Y

THERE IS A MAP OF TSILIVI TOWN, AND WHATS AVAILABLE TRY THE TSILIVI DATABASE ON THE ZANTE COMMENT BOARD. HOWEVER THE HOTEL IS IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION, THERE IS A SHOP AT THE END OF THE ROAD TO USE, ALSO EXCHANGE, RATES WE FOUND BETTER THAN THE TOWN. THE BEACH CAN ALSO BE REACHED BY A QUIETER ROAD OPPOSITE THIS SHOP. THE ROAD TO THE MAIN TOWN SEEMS A LONG WALK, BUT ACTUALY IS NOT THAT BAD. YOU WILL BE ESCORTED UP AND DOWN THIS ROAD BY A BLACK DOG IF STILL THERE, WHICH LIKES TO WALK WITH YOU TO MAKE SURE YOUR SAFE, ALTHOUGH IT DOES HAVE A TENDENCY TO RUN AT THE CARS, EVEN IF THEY ARE DRIVING AT A SPEED. TO MAKE THEM SLOW DOWN. THE WEATHER WILL ALSO STILL BE VERY VERY HOT.
YOU WILL HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME AT THE ZANTE STAR.

Chris B

Hello. Is there a map anywhere showing the location of the Hotel? We are going for two weeks starting in the middle of September, will all the shops, bars etc. still be open?

Julie Y

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ENQUIRY. YOU CAN BOOK TO STAY AT THE ZANTE STAR, THROUGH OLYMPIC HOLIDAYS. YOU CAN OBTAIN THE BROCHURE AT THE TRAVEL AGENTS OR USE THEIR WEBSITE, TO OBTAIN FURTHER INFORMATION. FLIGHTS ONLY DEPART FROM MANCHESTER WHICH WE FOUND WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM. NEVER THE LESS YOU WILL HAVE A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY.

Lynne M

I'd like to know, where can I book a holiday to go here?

David W

WE STAYED AT THE ZANTE STAR 17TH JUNE TO 1ST JULY. THE HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND WE HAD THE BEST HOLIDAY AND WEDDING THERE. WE MARRIED ON THE 25TH JUNE AT TSILIVI TOWN HALL IN VANATON. THE TOWN HALL IS VERY SIMILAR TO OURS BACK HOME. BUT THERE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CHURCH OPPOSITE TO HAVE OUR PHOTO'S TAKEN. WE HAD OUR WEDDING MEAL BACK AT THE HOTEL, WHICH WAS ABSOULUTELY WONDERFUL. THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD WE COULDN'T EAT IT ALL. ALL THE GIRLS THERE TENDED TO OUR EVERY NEEDS, THE TABLES WERE SET OUT WHERE WE WANTED THEM, WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER RECEPTION. A DAY WE'LL NEVER FORGET. THE ZANTE STAR WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS FOR MAKING EVERYTHING SO SPECIAL. THE HOTEL IS THE CLEANEST WE HAVE STAYED IN. I WOULD RECOMEND HIRING A FAN FOR YOUR ROOM IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN, THE HOTEL IS A SUN TRAP WHICH LASTS TILL THE SUN SETS. YANNIS WAS EXCELLENT WITH THE CHILDREN SO WERE ALL HIS STAFF. THERE IS A LOT TO DO GREEK NIGHT, QUIZ NIGHT, HORSE RACING, LITTLE TIP FOLLOW YANNIS AND YOU'LL WIN EVERY TIME. POOL TOURNAMENT GOOD PRIZES, CHAMPAGNE OR T-SHIRT FOR SECOND PLACE. FOOD AT THE BAR WAS EXCELLENT.MICKEY WAS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE THE CHILDREN LOVED HIM. SUCH A CUTIE. ANY ONE GOING THERE WILL HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME.

Donna S

Zante Star is the best self-catering apartments we have every stayed in. We stayed there 18th-31st July and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartments are clean and comfy. Well done to Yannis and Tracy and their staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. We will definitely be going back and would recommend the Zante Star to anyone looking for an excellent quality self-catering holiday. Mikki the dog is just so cute.

Chris A

HI YA!!! Harry, his family and everyone who was at the Zante Star when "Harry met Mikki".
We had a brilliant holiday, the hotel is lovely but Yannis and his staff made the holiday special.
We can highly recommend the Zante Star if you are going to this part of the world.
The town has it's bars, resturants and a couple of clubs but nothing to over the top making for a good family holiday.

All the best to everyone we met,

Chris and Sue

Colin F

HI YA!!!!!! from Harry is everyone missing me. We just thought we would let anyone who is planning a holiday to the Zante Star know what a fantastic holiday you will have. It is brilliant everyone is so friendly and the accomodation is first class we will definatly be returning next year. Yannis please have half a lager ready for me next year Mikki's friend HARRY. See you all next year can't wait.
Colin Carole Michelle Marie Harry and baby Tom

Gill B

Yes Tracey is still there. We went on 1st July and she only returned a few days before we left, around the 10th. She had returned to England for a while to visit family.

Sarah S

I am going to the Zante Star this coming Sunday and would like to know if it is possible to hire an iron from the hotel.

Karla H

AFTER VISITING THE ZANTE STAR IN MAY THIS YEAR WE THOUGHT WE WOULD LET EVERYONE KNOW WHO IS PLANNING THEIR HOLIDAY THERE THEY ARE SURE TO HAVE A BRILL TIME. EVERYONE IS REALLY FRIENDLY AND THE LITTLE DOG MIKKI BROUGHT HOURS OF FUN FOR MY LITTLE BOY (ALTHOUGH I DONT THINK MIKKI WILL AGREE) DEFINATLY WANT TO GO NEXT YEAR HOPEFULLY EVERYONE WILL STILL BE THERE. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF TRACEY YANNIS WIFE IS STILL THERE BECAUSE SHE DISAPPEARED 4 DAYS INTO OUR HOLIDAY! WHERE IS TRACEY? PLEASE EMAIL BACK

Gill B

On behalf of myself and Matt, Abi and Paul, Jennie and Greg this was one of the best hotels we have come across. The rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday. A hired fan is a must. We stayed for 2 weeks from 1/7/04 and had a great time. Pool, food, bar and staff were spot on.

Thanks to Leta, behind the bar during the days, for all her hard work serving us drink after drink and to Mikki the dog for being a strange little thing!

We would recommend this place to anyone, singles to couples to families.
And for those of you who were there when we were - HIYA to Harry. It wasn't the same after he left.

Thanks for a wonderful, unforgettable holiday!

Charlotte B

hi ya
I went with my mum and dad last august to the zante star. it was good.
thought i would give you the hotels email Alex, as you asked for it. its:
hotelzantestar@acn.gr
have a good time

Rachel H

Alex - The Zante Star is lovely, we've just got back and we loved the whole holiday, these are the best self catering apartments I have ever been in. The staff are really friendly and Yanni is a great host. He might still be partying when you get there after last night's football result!!

The apartments have everything - there is a hairdryer in the bathroom, although basic, and you can hire fans if you wish from reception. There are towels provided, although you can't take them to the pool or the beach. They also provide a mosquito repellant plug in, but you have to buy the pads for it. There is also a safe deposit box in the rooms for 12 Euros, 15 Euro Deposit.

The town is a 10 minute walk and there are two cashpoints (I think) but no banks in Tsilivi itself, I think you'd have to go to Zante Town.

Hope you have a fantastic time!

Alex H

I am along with a group of 6 friends going to the Zante Star Hotel next week and we just have a few questions for people who have already been...is there air conditioning in the apartments or can u hire etc fans and are there many available? are towels provided in the apartments? are there banks/atm's nearby? are there hairdryers and a safe in the apartments? It would be really useful if someone could answer these. Also is there a email address for the hotel so we can ask them ourselves?

Thank you in anticiaption

Ian W

We had a lovely holiday courtesy of the Zante Star. The apartments were spotlessly clean, the hospitality was second to none and overall it was almost like a home from home. Yannis was a welcoming host, the staff were friendly and the dog Mikki was a great source of entertainment. I would recommend these apartments to any family wishing to visit Zante, so much so that we intend to return next year. See you there Steve, Janet, Josh and Laura.

Will be going to the Zante Star in a few weeks time with my husband and 2 children. I understand that a large water park is in the process of being built on Zante. Is it finished? My nephew, Jack, has put this high on his list of priorities (he's never been abroad before). The comments on the Zante Star are excellent, I am sure we have chosen wisely.

I went to Zante last year and had a fab time, everyone was really friendly and we met up with some cool people. Reading some of Emma's comments i am quite suprised because of the great time me and my mates had. It was two of are birthdays over there and we got a free bottle of champers which was really nice. Just want to know if anyone recognised or saw it, but we gave them a picture and picture frame of us and them together when we left because of how nice and helpful they are, just wondering if anyone noticed it behind the bar? Just like to say we had a room at the front and there is a dog across the way that barks a lot and we still had good night sleeps.

We have just come back from a fortnight in the Zante Star and have to say that the whole holiday was an absolute marvellous time! We have two children, Josh and Laura, and they, like ourselves, had the time of their lives. Yannis was an excellent host and the staff, especially the girl serving the meals, was really nice. The food was "spot on" and very good prices. The apartments were spotless and spacious. We are looking forward, hopefully, to going back next year! Also we would like to say "hello" to all the lovely people we met there! Steve and Janet Josh and Laura Clark.

We have just returned from a week in the Zante Star where a couple of friends held their wedding reception, we were very well catered for.
Yannis moved the Greek night to the Wednesday for us which made the reception even better.
The rooms were of an excellent standard, the selfcatering facilities were excellent not that we used them as the hotel food was fantastic and very reasonably priced.
highly recommend the race night(ideal way to lose you last euro's!!)

We've just come back after our Honeymoon at the Zante Star and have no complaints whatsoever. Tracy and Yannis were the perfect hosts the whole stay. The apartment, pool area, service and whole package was first class. Although we preferred to amuse ourselves of an evening (Being on Honeymoon!) we found they catered for everyones entertainment needs. The Hotel was so popular Yannis even went out to buy another 20 sunlounges to accommodate everyone! A perfect holiday and Hotel and would recommend the Zante Star to anyone.

I have read the previous comments with interest, having just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Hotel Zante Star. This is the only hotel where I have actually returned.(in 30 years of holidays). Thank you Tracey and Yannis, the hotel was impeccably clean. The room was of a good size and facilities more than we needed. You made our return stay fun. Your entertainment ( race night; pool; quiz; BBQ and Greek Dancing), were all hugely entertaining. You made all of your guests welcome, and all the children seemed to have a fabulous time. I can see us returning again and again. Thank you for making is feel so welcome.

We have just returned from a fortnight at the Zante Star hotel. It was totally brilliant, we are 50somethings and over the last few years have travelled extensively and this has to be the best place we have stayed in. The accomodation was spotless and very roomy (114) far more room than we have had in other apartments. Tracy and Yianni were brilliant hosts, I don't know how they do it and where they get their energy from. Lots of evening entertainment which was geared to all age groups, drinks were cheap, food was very good and cheap, the pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and we would not hesitate in rcommending this place to anyone. We were amazed at how reasonable the cost of this holiday was, normally we would have expected to pay twice what we did for this high standard. Thanks Yianni and Tracy for a great two weeks and WE WILL BE BACK!

We have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Zante Star. Tracy and Yannis were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, they are such a lovely couple. We only stayed in one night and that was on the Thursday which was quiz night and Tracy really ran herself ragged to make it enjoyable. There was a Greek night and a kareoke night to my knowledge. The pool area is LARGE ( ! ) and beautiful, its kept spotless, as is everwhere. there's a good bar and lounge, oh, and there's plenty of sunbeds.... no getting up at sunrise to put your towels on, there's plenty to go round.
The apartments are beautiful and spacious, and the view we had from the balcony of 124 was spectacular. There are plenty of pans, frying pan and electric kettle, can opener and bottle opener. Towels are provided. Towels and bedding are changed twice a week. Rooms cleaned every day.
Anyone with children, dont worry Yannis is no ogre.....I can honestly say I never saw him eating a child for breakfast the whole time I was there !!!!!!!!!! hehehe BUT if children are being a nuisance to other people by running riot and the parents arnt keeping them under control I for one would hope Yannis would say something to them because I certainly wouldnt appreciate kids running round being a nuisance and spoiling my holiday.
WELL DONE TRACY AND YANNIS AND THANK YOU.
