hi, to all u out there thinking of going to the Alkyonis Apart/Hotel, 5 of us stayed here a couple of years ago and unless you want cold boiled eggs, (like we did) supposed to be fresh fruit but it were tinned peaches only greek yoghurt and honey cheap (Aldi) cereal we ended up going out every single day for breakfast. However the hotel was clean, the bar staff really great and although the staff didn't speak much English they always got a member of staff able to translate for you. For good evenings out, we recommend going onto the main strip and visiting the Relax Bar and also the Pink Panther Bar, where in the Pink Panther, you'll get to meet Jessie the Karaoke host, who during your night will have you wetting yourself with laughter and in total stitches as he dresses up in different costumes.
Although I only rate the Hotel a 4 Laganas Resort I would give it 10/10 I will Be back again sometime.
13 of us have just got back from an amazing week staying at the 'Alky-onit'
We had a wicked time and would definitley recommend this hotel,we found it great as it wasn't too busy and you didn't have to worry about looking glam the morning after a messy night. The distance from the strip wasn't too far and only took 10 minutes to walk. Breakfast was basic but a great hangover cure! The rooms were good for the amount of time you spend in them, basic but really clean. The cleaner makes the beds and mops the floor everyday. You have to pay for the air con ( 45euros) and for safety boxes. i'm not sure how much they were though as we didn't bother due to the fact that they were in the lobby.
anyway like i said...
this hotel is really friendly,clean and in a great position (not too far away from the strip and not directly in the hussle and bussle)
Just arrived back from the Alkyonis yesterday! This hotel was amazing. We stayed on a B&B basis and even though we didn't make it down for breakfast every morning it was well worth it! The hotel is family run, which makes it extremely cosy! Defo make sure you hire out a safety deposit box (10 euros) and a MUST is air conditioning for your room (15 euros).
Whatever you do, on Thursday evenings make sure you book with the hotel staff for their BBQ. This was only 10 euros!! The food and service was lovely! A cheap night too!! If you are staying here take your own towels as you only get two towels in your room-defo not enough for 2 girls!!
left last nite n i wanna go back already, best holiday ive ever had!!!! such a nice hotel n luvly ppl!! definately go back agen wish i was still there!!!!!!!!!!!!
