Hya yeah been b4 the hotel is just basic, but nice, and once you get on the main strip ull luv it, all the bars and clubs are brill make sure u go in rescue's club and zero's. Pink panther is a good laf aswell its a kareoke bar. Went last year wiv ma mate n goin agen in july but thers 9 ov us gunna b mint cant wait!!

alright folks, went in september it was tremendous. our room flooded but the magic mrs doubtfire helped out.   make sure ya head to cocktails and dreams for a nite out its the business.   we were a pain in the tits to most folk (loud music n arrivin home blootered at 9am for breakfast, u get cheese that tastes of absolutly nothing) but nobody seemed to mind.   Was still class in september, still busy but no crazy ques to get served.  clubs were open till six and the cocktails were class.  would defo reccomend zante to lads for a big piss up holiday.   the beach is perfect if ya get lucky with a bird but watch out for tide which nearly drowned us one mornin.   visit the kebab shops on the way home for the best kebab ever and u get chips in it!!!!!! unbelievably good!!  only problem with zante was the flight home at 6am......got kicked out or room at midday...thats a lot of crazy golf and hangin about zante airport but still makes up for it with the mad nites out we had.   big up zante dont take ur aunty!!

Perkes is the best hotel in lagana, its just wot u need, n all the ppl hu compain abowt it r jus picky n probs borin c**t's!! me n ma m8 went in august n woz the best holiday ever we luvved it tht much tht were takin 8 ov r mates bk ther on 16th july 4 a week. hiya yes i think the kids will love it here we come to lagana every year with our 3 yr old son and the greeks couldnt be more friendlier its a ace island to have a holiday on.the perkes is a little out of town but its not too bad we sometimes got the horse and cart back to hotel if we realy couldnt be bothered to walk pool is not a real good 1 for kids but u dont have to use this 1 hotels nearby let u use theres.

we only ended up stayin at perkes hotel 4 2 nites and in that short time we hated it!!!we had dirty beddin,towels,and the mattress had blood stains all over it, it was nasty!the staff was rude(nick)he really made r last day horrible.so if ur thinkin of goin there i would think twice....

Hi to all, just back from perkes and njoyed it all , 2 weeks of friendly banter with the owners , nic and rachel and scott thanks for the time we loved your company , holiday fab took little grandaughter she njoyed the pool and the fun of the beech , food great weather brill will be back some time rest assured, chelsie says hi to talia and tom you all take care and we,ll meet again , tony liz and chelsie (phillips family), perkes it,s the place to go   

Cant belive ppl r saying that this place is S***....cz our holiday was mint man! met so many nice ppl...and made loads of new friends...mainly lads haha! Altho cnt forget the ladies frm dundee  and Becky and Hollie we looove yoo!! Plus is the shizzle and the barmen are brilliant...in bed haha!! jokes   dnt remember much of our holiday but our piccies showed that it was Fekin amasin and our mates loved our journel that we wrote. see everyone soon we hope and were counting down the days to next year! wooop woop

Hey people, I stayed at hotel perkes in June the hotel itself was basic but the owners totally made up for it, I became single while i was there and rachel and her mother in law really looked after me, they organised for me to get an early flight home, i would def go back if anyone is going say hi to rachel, nic and scott and family for me. wee scottish lass tracie wilson

Just spent two weeks at the Perkes and we had an amazing time.  Margaret & her husband, Nik & Rachel & Scott were extremely friendly and accommodating.  We'd requested through our travel agent a poolside room & on arrival found that we were at the back of the accommodation, we spoke with Margaret & an hour later we were in a room over looking the pool, which just added to our holiday

i had the best time of my life with my bezzies the welsh girls!!!! i have got no pitty on the 3 girls who got thrown out u must have been a rite bunch of b***hes coz i think everyone at perkes were bludy brilliant and i wouldnt change anything about my week staying there! just wna say a huge hello to the manchester lads. o manchester is wonderfull.

if u are staying in the perkes u dont need to worry about a thing.food wasnt anything special but who cares when u have got the hangover from hellrooms were fine no problems and u can guarentee you will meet sooooo many people whilst staying in the hotel!!!

dont worry scott  havnt forgotten about you wat a ladgirls watch out when scott is about!no only kiddding he is bloody lovley and a hell of a laugh

hello just got back from a week in the perkes.hotel wasnt too bad in its self it was pretty empty there was a few problems though i have a 2 and half yr old son and there wasnt a baby pool for him to play in so had to take him to a hotel down road with a little pool in.also children live in this hotel so there were quite a few toys knocking about and u know what kids r like when they see toys but they were just for the kids there so i dont think they should have been on display.rooms were pretty clean though not the worst ive seen.slides were not working pool had been drained so couldnt even play in there.holiday was ok though its what u make of it

just back from Laganas stayed in Perkes for 1 long week. Anyone who is gonna be staying in this hotel beware as cleanliness is awful, towels not changed at all and given to you with brown stains on them. No need to visit the pool as the bathroom floor was constantly flooded with water with the s**t* draining system. There was no hot water i spent the whole week feeling filthy, toilet seat broken. constant power cuts happening every day which we were told was because of the bad weather but the bad weather didn't seem to bother any other hotel. No fridge in room which brochure stated there would be. Staff were pretty good when they decided to appear at reception which was not very often.

Pool bar and pool was absolutely brilliant better than all the other hotels around, good choice of food at bar and they stop serving drink around 4 in the morning.

i dont think lagana is discusting we go every year.we dont pay a lot of money to get top notch luxery so we think its ok.the greeks couldnt be any friendlier well they r nice to our family anyway.we love it here infact we r heading out there in 2 weeks gonna have a great time

easy now!!! got back from zante yesterday and am gutted! gotta giv a big shout out to everyone who made it special, paul & matt - absolute legends! the girls from liecster who made our last days great, gettin burnt asses n flashin nipples lol, the rowdy essex gang - hope the sunburns calmed down! the guys from donny - karaoke kings, made our wait in the scabby airport a whole lot easier by playin a few 'quiet' games of  s**thead cheers boys. scott the best barman on the island for gettin us soooo wasted that i decided to redecorate the toilets in cherry bay...mmm nice. anyone i forgot cheers everyone was sound. anyone worryin bout the hotel its excactly what u need, cheap n cheerfull. we're all wishin we were back at the "perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkessssssssssssssssssssss", missin the locals, all the staff from paradise, the touchy feely glass collector in cocktails n dreams and the crazy 'steak' man! lookin forward to the perkes posse reunion on 14th oct, gonna be messy!! roll on perkes 2007.

ps. anyone stayin at the perkes please would u look after our beloved dolphin 'flange' we left him there in his natural habitat, he likes to be riden...a lot and isnt a fussy eater but he has a severe drink problem so dont giv him any alcohol!!

Oh My God, right everyone that has complained about Perkes there must be some thing wrong with you!!!!!!! Who ever is going to Perkes in soon please do not worry its Brill, its the best holiday i have had for a while and i have been to some places. The wheather is lovely soooooo hot, the hotel is basic but the people you will meet will make your Holiday!!! Scott is the fittest barman i met and he is sooo lovely room 107 girls!!!!!!! Honestly though please do not let the other comments put you off, i read these before i went and i was so worried, but i was pleasently surprised. I hope you have as good of a time there as i did. Im so jealous

20 of us from leeds got back from perkes a week ago. hotel was alrite except for the scum aussie owner nick. what a w**ker! tried to kick us out after 2 days for suposedly calling his mother in law a slag! which we didn't (but she is). had a sick laff on the strip every nite but every morning got bollocked by nick for being 2 noisy as it was past his bedtime! the brochure says " lively" nick u c**t so deal with it!  i would go back 2 perkes but just to p**s off nick. the barstaff were t**ts especially scott except for the 16 year old lad he was sound. if you are goin 2 perkes soon tell nick the leeds lads say hi!

Me and my mate Andrea stayed at Perkes from 17th - 31st August aswell and we had a wicked time. Hotel was average, only complaint was towels and bed sheets not getting changed enough and beds were VERY uncomfortable!! Pool and bar were great, scott was a quality bloke and made lovley cocktails. We made some great friends whilst we wre out there and will miss ya all loads !!!! Especially L and Mike...we were supposed to come see ya before we left but i got VERY drunk on my last nite and we nealry missed our bus in mrning so didnt get a chance so if ur reading this gimme a mail whito14@hotmail.co.uk!!! well ill def be coming back to Zante again as was the best hol ever!! take care everyone!

I stayed at the Perkes from the 17th to 31st of August and had the best holiday ever. I wasn't expecting much but we actually really liked the hotel, the camp bed situation was a bit rubbish but we didn't let it spoil what turned out to be a fantastic 2 weeks in Zante. I wouldn't hesitate to go back or stay at the Perkes. We made lots of good friends while we were there because there was such a good atmosphere around the hotel. The guys behind the pool bar are so nice. Nick and Scott kept us well entertained every night, missing them and all the free shots a lot. I'm jealous of anyone who's there now or anyone who's just heading out there, have a great time and enjoy Zante! I'll definitely be back next year!

perkes hotel laganas zante

oh my word, all i can say is if you haven't booked already do yourself a favour and avoid the perkes infact avoid zante all together it is vile. the beach was covered in fag butts and the sea had condoms floating in it, one day while we were laying on the over crowded narrow beach a dog ran up and did a poo in the sea right in front of us :-s needless to say didn't go into the sea for a while after that.

back to the perkes,

it is a good 20mins walk from the seafront and in the blistering heat is not a pleasant walk. the hotel doesn't look too bad when you pull up, the reception is ok although we had to wait about half an hour for someone to turn up to check us in! the bathroom in the room is appalling, the shower is pretty much a tap in the corner, the floor is constantly wet because there are no sides to the shower. all there is, is a little ridge around the plughole so needless to say the water goes evvvvverywhere! the balcony situation wasn't the most luxurious experience of my life, we had to share a balcony with 5 other rooms! one day i was sitting on ours and had the pleasure of seeing a rat as big as my dog running around below. cleanliness is terrible, the maid didn't even empty my bin some days and the sheets were not changed once! also the had towel i was given was covered in brown (what i hope was) rust! the breakfast you get at the perkes consists of 3 pieces of bread a slice of cheese and a slice of ham hardly going to fill you up or cure a hangover. luckily breakfast at local cafes/pubs are pretty cheap.  we also didn't have a fridge in our room as stated.

this infamous rep 'leggie' well we didn't set eyes on her once.

the whole area of laganas is disgusting there are pubs and clubs pretty much on top of each other its sooo built up its awful. it is full of drunken people falling about in the road and trying to pull because they can't pull wherever they came from. there are also little hood rats and people with babies begging on the streets and coming into clubs/bars trying to sell you glow up wrist bands for one euro, if u refuse the little kids (some as young as 3) will not hesitate to call you a p***k or tell you to f**k off! even if you do give them money they don't stop with the pestering and abuse! funny you don't see them in the day because they get dropped off by their husbands/dads at night.

i went to ayia napa a couple of weeks before i went to zante (for about the same price) and was expecting it to be full of people being sick in the street and letching on each other but it was beautiful, yeah there are lots of clubs and drunk people but of a much better quality and much cleaner. people seem to have more respect for the place and obviously they have better clean up operations as the beach was stunning.

a week in the perkes or anywhere in laganas won't kill you but i wouldn't go back there if someone paid for me

only two and a half weeks to go!! actually cant wait!!

We managed to get quite a cheap deal so to be honest we're not expecting luxury, all we need is a base! im sure we'll make a good holiday out of it whatever the circumstances!

We spent 420 on two weeks, for that amount of money you shouldn’t have to sleep in a camp bed, shouldn’t have occasional hot water and you shouldn’t have to eat badly cooked food or you should at least have the option of a fridge. I think if you’ve spent that amount its fine to expect certain levels of standard, if I wanted a camp bed and occasional hot water, I would of gone camping, if I wanted badly cooked food, I would of stayed at home. Ive spent less and received better in each of my four holidays before this one. I don’t think its being ignorant to expect a bed the same as the other two in your room or to have clean towels/sheets distributed more regularly by the cleaners, its not a big ask, if you’re a spending customer.
 

The pool is fine, didn’t notice it being any less clean than any other pool I’ve swam in, the pool bar at night is quite good but you have to make It good.

My personal opinion of the reps are that they are useless but I came to expect that as ive experienced similar before, I seen the two reps on the first day when they wanted our money for a trip here and a trip there and I think I seen leggie behind the reception once but within two weeks I think that was all I seen of them so if you aren’t giving them any money to go with them on their bar crawls they leave you alone, a good rep asks how your holiday is going and is available to speak to. We earned a final warning from the hotel and it would have been nice of the rep to of spoken to us or at least been available to speak to, if you’ve just received a warning from the hotel management there is no point in going straight to them to have it out, its probably sensible to talk it through with a rep but your be lucky to find one.

I enjoyed my holiday very much, certain aspects of the hotel are fine and certain aspects need improving, if I had spent 350 I would of probably expected the above but as it was 400+ I was a little disappointed in certain things, so if you are thinking of booking this place and are being quoted 420, id look around a bit as im sure theres better value for money.

If you have the right attitude things like the balconies and the noise shouldn’t be a problem, after all it is a lively hotel and you are staying in laganas!

Hey Kerrie yeah I remember you hope you got back upto Newcastle ok, I was stuck in the traffic and it took me 3 hrs to get home so I was pretty tired seen as I hadnt slept since monday ;-) ha ha anyway take it easy and all I have to say is PERKES RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

neways as for all u people that have bad things to say about the perkes keep your gob shut!! ur talkin complet bolox!!! .. the hotel and all the satff are absoultly amazing g'day to nic and rachel me and my boyfriend have jst got bak on friday we had a wicked timee but topped if off coz we no the hotel owner's ne ways hehe  all the people we met wer fab and all realy friendly.. scott behind the bar his cotails wer minnnnnnnnnnnnt! and yerr they r cheaop and get u absoulutly s**t faceeed mmmmmmmmmmm  i dont see why people have to say lil coments bout broken lights and stuff man i mean c*m on ur goin on a cheap holiday in a nice area and ur moain like lil kids coz if stupid lil fings .

to top if off ne ways we have a nice tan.. every fink is well cheap and wer bookin to go bak nxt year but for 2 weeks this timee well good holiday and every one who works at the perkes are well niceee  ..... make sure u vist zeros its amazing!! bit of bar dancing  and evry fink els that tickels ur fancy. me and andy evnjoyd the whole holidayy.. hope evry one els does too  lotsa luv and xx kerrrie xx

laura lagana is good whatever month u go.we r there from the 28th sept in the perkes we go to zante every year.who u c*min to perkes with ours is a family hol this year as i have a 2 yr old boy now and mum and dad and partner and nanna will all be there so  it  will  be a good hol

f.a.o-lousie roper- the brochure clearly states "busy" and "lively" next to the hotel, so as mike said young "ignorant" people do rid the place. but for all you young "ignorant" people like  myself and many more who have stayed there, there are also old "boring" "complaining" people there so watch out for them! leggie (leigh) the rep is an absolute legend and when my friend zara had all her stuff nicked she couldt of been a better help so again lousie roper, what are you on about!

I loved spending my 2 weeks at the Perkes! It was fulll of lovely people, the pool was nice and the rooms may be basic but you dont go on holiday to live in your hotel room do you? It might be a bit of a walk to the clubs and beach but you hardly notice and its good when you come out of a club and sober up on the way home. Okay so its not perfect but its not as bad as some people have been making out. I met some wonderful people there went to some great bars and clubs, and if i wanted a quiet night in i could have had one. One of the best holidays iv ever had and would definately go back. Not being funny but either the people saying it is good on this website are complete scruffs or are stupid b*stards. 1st off 3 in a hotel room what a laugh there was 2 beds and some sort of camp bed which could not sleep an infant never mind a full grown man and you are all crammed in to the scummiest room immaginable, it was like a prison!. Another problem with the room is that if you walk onto the balcony you find you have approx 15 neighbours all p*ssed out of there head sticking there nose in to other peoples business 24/7. The hotel stunk constantly and you get nothing but cold showers every night of the week (for 1 night you dont have water). The Pool has so much chlorine in it it will sting you for days and the hotel bars have the most boring uptight people in the world working behind it. Also don't even think about breakfast all you get is a slice of bread and a piece of cheese absolute w*nk and definetly not worth getting out of bed for as you have to sit in the breakfast room (which is a dump) with the stink of sewage. I basically feel this hotel wrecked my holiday completely there is so much more i could point out about this hotel its that scummy and grotty. Just to add to the class of this hotel you have a strip club next door to it which is apparently owned by Perkes which has Russians pouring out in the early hours screaming abuse at English folk young or old.Please believe me when i say you should NOT even think about this hotel it is the worst possible place you can go and that is from the heart. I would not like anyone to go through what me and my friends went through there. The location is not good either it approx 40 min walk from the beach and bars/clubs.One last thing do not buy ay food or snacks from the bar we was all ill after having a snack which added to the dissapointment of our holiday.

Me and my boyfriend Ben have just got home from our hoilday to the Perkes in Laganas and we cant fault the place. It was very clean and friendly, pool was perfect and the rooms were a great size and clean! The staff were lovely espesially Scott behaind the bar, top bloke! 10 min walk from the restarants and shops and 15 mins from a gorgeous, white sand beach. We had an amazing holiday, and the island was the most picturesque weve been too, very hot, ull really appriciate the air conditioning! Loved it ... would deff go back, and we recommend it! xxx

This was one of my best holidays ever.I visited perkes hotel in may 2006, on my own with a son aged 8, he was well occupied by the family that own this hotel and esp scott behind the bar  he skanked them by playing football cards for cocktails and there perkes special as he called it bacon and sausage on a big mans roll!!There was no problems with the noise food cleaners at all, everyone including the family members who are very welcomming and all do there bit around the hotel, nicks mom, was a darling looking after me getting me the doctor in when i took ill thru a mozzy bite in my eye.(many thanks) I have got no hesitating in going back to there hotel it was clean and very tidy , met many ppl who i have and  i am still in touch with and have become very close friends to.The only downside about this hotel which is far from the owners fault..is the walk to the main street takes about 15 mins and very dusty but who cares!!!But the good points are too many to mention, but the memories of my holiday and the laughs i shared with scott ,nick and ppl i met still make me smile.

dont listen to all the moaning, these people make.

if people want a family holiday, dont go to laganas fullstop. dont go to zante fullstop. go to blackpool with all the other losers. if it wasn't noise or expensive food, then it would have been the weather or sun stroke or lack of s**tty takeaways. do us all a favour and stay home you moaning bunch of b*****ds.

from a family point of view this holiday was a nightmare. 1: the hotel no way is this a family hotel. if you want to sleep (we got 2 nights sleep out of 13!!) you may as well sleep on the street or pavements (if they had any!!) it's full of young ignorant people who have no respect for others. the security guard (think i saw him on our last night) was to afraid or couldn't be a**ed to confront the out of control teenagers. the pool side rules about bringing in your own drinks and food is just a big rip off they charge 2 euros for a can of pop when the supermarket charge 60 cents. the kids pool slides have a charge of 6 euros a day depending on if you are in the know! lots of people got given the wrist bands and others had to pay full price. the thing that pissed me off the most was paying for 15 nights but only having 13 confused yes you should be here goes they count the night before you get there as your first night meaning you have to be out of your room at 12pm the day before you fly home, then if you need to keep your room on or be out of a room for 16hours it cost you a further 30 euros. the rooms we had to have 2 yes they were very basic. they where cleaaned a couple of times a week and towels changed approx 3 times whilst we where there. one rooms shower didn't work and the smoke alarm hung off the ceiling with just bare wires hanging out. the bathroom stunk the rest of the room out. yes there was a bug going around the hotel and we wonder why!! 2: the location the hotel was on the main road, which was just a death trap. the drivers are shocking, no pavements and full of tourists (italian) riding around on scooters. believe me the m6 would be quieter. the hotel is approx a mile away from the hotel but its worth the walk (to get away from the hotel) the weather was fantastic. heatwave week great. the pythari and the paradise restaraunts are the best around great food great prices. the steak house is very poor and ripped us off (opposite the new shopping center) don't bother with that one. the family restraunt opp perkes hotel was ok but did get the bill wrong on a couple of occassions..... 3: the rep leigh - useless sums her up no help what so ever 4: the journey home: well you are either out of our room at 12pm say on a thursday or you are ripped off by 30 euros to stay in it until 12am you hang around until 4.50 friday morning for the coach to pick you up take you to the airport, then you have to stand like cattle out side the airport for between 1 and a half hous to 2 and a half hours. you could have 20 kids or be 99 years old but you have to stand there. the airport its self is the size of a postage stamp with few seats. it cannot cope with the numbers of flights/people. the prices for 2 coffees and 2 cakes was 17 euros yes 17 euros. if you where in the roon 240 on the 24th then i do hope you had a good days sleep and no one kept knocking on your door!!! to wake you. it must have been hell partying all night every night on the corridor then some one waking you up during the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i did hear you looked tired and pissed off when you did surface in the early evening, it was a great satisfaction lol lol lol

i got back from my holiday in laganas a couple of weeks ago and i have to say that i agree with all the negative comments people are posting. i think that it is quite fair to say that the owners have the right to inform people of the rules and what not but the way they spoke to people was disgusting so it is no surprise that they don't get back any respect. on our first day we witnessed the skinny blonde woman go psycho at a group of girls for bringing their own food and drink to the pool.  being as it was their and our first morning, we wasn't aware of this new law in zante.  it is fair enough to tell them that it isn't allowed but to come over shouting at them and confiscating their food in front of all other guests and treating them like children was disgusting.  luckily, this incident happened on our first morning and so from then on, we decided to use the pool at the hotel further down, the olympia, where we had the best holiday EVER!!!

zante was the most amazing place eva but perkes they am all scaming theiving scum bags just want money one night my m8 broke pool cue on accident n they made out as if he had commited crime the family kids started crying running round tellin every1 he sed he will pay wat more they want the same wen i broke ashtray n saying we carnt smoke in pool room cus kids were in there well im sorry but i paid to go there so i shud smoke so move ths kids all there toys am all over the place they fink they no wat they on about but they aint got a clue pool made every1 ill with stomach bug always full of wasps maids clean it by chuckin water on the tiles which washed dirt into the water the only person i liked was scott hu had manners and i respect for tht and costus the yung chap was sound i took him out clubbin with us wat a laff they am all propa stroppy specially nick n racheal moody c**ts for a fridge have to ask to get they chuck u out ur room like a day before u have to go home thats just stupid they moan at certain ppl for da noise then some ppl egt away with propa noise so im confused the rep i ahd no problems with but aint reps ppl tht repersent and make sure u have nice holiday i neva fukin seen her only in the daytime for bout an hour she just sit there at reception wtf tht gonna do for ya every1 i met there made my holiday top had sum great laffs n always went clubbin or chillin wid sum laydees but also the corridors stunk liek sewage and s**t u tell em they act like oh i dunno food taste like s**t u carnt bring nothing of ur own to hotelthey make such big deal out of nothing family holiday my a**e no health and saftey they dont care inless its thats raches daughter then its difo she shud go inc are not in fukin hotel with laods of p**s hed noway for a child sort it out hotel nice though other than them fauly be znate next yr but not there

 we arrived home 18th August Hence with a stomach bug after staying at the perkes hotel.The sheets never got changed once whilst we were there. We had our very own swimming pool in our bathroom all the time. Cold water from the shower every day and yes dirty towels, not to mention broken glass by the pool area, pool looked like it could have done with a clean. and couldn't get one descent night sleep due to music from the pool bar area too loud.

the perkes would be an alright hotel if it wasnt for the owners, they dont gove a s**t about their guests. everything else in the hotel can be sorted if they put some effort in to sorting out the pool and surrounding areas such as the courtyard. the owners really did ruin our holiday and by the sounds of it they did the majority who post on here. id go back to zante but not the perkes!

i'm sick of people complaining bout the perkes, i know its strict and rooms are basic but you get what you pay for....if you want a 5 star hotel pay the extra pennys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had a towel one day with some vile brown stain on it the next night i was talking to some lad who was staying at the same hotel and it turns out that he had had the vile towel 2 days before i had!!!!

and as for that vile little creature who works behind the bar who the f**k said he's nice looking obviously someone who has been deprived of men for a good few years!!!!

OK - just want to put people straight about the Perkes & the staff there. I have been going there for 7 years now sometime 3 times a year - Nick & Rachel are fabulous people & their children beautiful - this is a family hotel & they are cared for exceptionally well so Gemma there is no need to say this is not a place to bring kids up in. At the end of the day it is all about respect not just for the owners but for other guets too - would you behave the way you do on holiday at home................when i was there in July groups of girls & lads got thrown out for being disrespectful/being abusive/damaging property & it was deserved - they are also stict that it is there business & do not allow people to bring drink & food into the pool bar area - but this is a rule at most hotels so don't see a problem - as for the pool bar food menu - all the food is home made & can highly recommend. The hotel is basic, air con is available at a cost. This hotel is family ran & a fun place - the owners only get strict when you take the piss. I would highly recommend this hotel.

6 of us stayed in the seperate block at the other side of the pool even though we did order our rooms to be togeher so 9 of our mates were at the other side of the hotel. if you are in the seperate block then you do get a fridge and a little cooker. the staff was rude to us aswell. i wouldnt stay at the perkes ever again!!

was not impressed with this first day we got there we were chilling out by the pool when that skinny woman who i think owns it started screaming and shouting at these poor young lasses i felt so sorry for them they had only been eating crisps by the pool when she went phsyco at them all she had to do was have a quiet word in their ears instead of belittling them bless them!!! there was some right gobby cows across the way from us would not go here again it's a s**t hole!!!

I've read mixed reviews about the hotel. But as far as I'm concerned, the holiday doesn't centre around the hotel, after all it's only a place to bed down at the end of your day, you don't have to spend all your time there if you don't want to. The holiday (and possibly the accomodation) is what you want to make of it.

Went to zante last year it was the best ever we went for a week! It was dat good were goin again but this time for 2 weeks ! The staff n members are very polite n brilliant towards you ! Just got back today from 2 weeks in the perkes zante.
When we first arrived we were very pleased  with the look of the hotel it looked well looked after friendly and a nice place to be for 2 weeks but then you saw the real perkes.
We were really hungry after the typical late night flights and couldnt wait for our breakfast (paid for as part of the package) to find that there idea of breakfast is cheese and ham with bread. We about died, the good side of this is there are plenty of nice places to have breakfast for fairly cheap (the perkes full breakfast is pure grease). The meeting with the rep was boring and pointless, dont fall for all the trips straight away, look around 1st. The room we stayed in was very basic but still was alright for what we paid, except the shower was crap. The cleaners come in everyday and its lucky dip what happens to the rooms, sometimes bed made sometimes mopped, who knows, you are supposed to receive new sheets on a monday and thurs but we were missed out which annoyed us further. There fairly strict in grease with drinking in the hotels and perkes follows suit, we were planning on still buying a little bit for the room and store it in the fridge as mentioned on the site, but where was this mistery fridge???Also dont be fooled by the air con idea, you have to pay to use it. The hotel was  very noisy at night, on a few occasions i had to get out of bed to give them a telling. The pool is nice during the day with nice food being served and nice cheap drinks. Laganas itself is pretty good apart from the endless hounding by the pr's.
I did enjoy my holiday but was dissapointed greatly with the accomodation

Just got back from a two week stay in The Perkes! We had an absolutely fantastic stay there and would recommend it to anyone! All the staff are top and make you feel very welcome!

what a holiday... was an absolute belter! stayed in perkes hotel, nick and scott are absolute legends sorted us out big time and top blokes aswell!!! ....don't challende scott to a downing contest cos you will not beet him (even if he does normally drink girls drinks he can put back a pint of cider!) met some quality peeps over there, if you came in contact with  any member of the mad monks then hello to you!

i got back from perkes hotel 2 days ago n had the best time of my life!!!! coming back n reading all these bad points about perkes is complete s**t. the owners are lovely, just dnt take the p**s out of them, there isnt a limit on what time you get in coz we didnt get in till 5 in the murnin every mornin n there isnt a problem with that. all they ask is not to be shouting down the corridors in the middle of the night n thats fair enuf. the only reason you would get thrown out is if you were being little s**ts.  scott,rachel,nick and all the team are ace and did everythink they could for us.  if ane1 has got ane questions or queries about perkes just ask!!

to any girls going to perkes:

There is nothin at all to be scared of about stayin at the perkes, the management are just strict with noise and people bangin on everyones doors but this is not just the perkes its everywhere due to how lively the resort has become.....they don't want another faliraki on their hands!!!!!

What a two weeks for the mad monks, very enjoyable two weeks of drinking shed loads. Highlights would be doing the pre-strip drinking at the hotel bar and getting on our chairs to party our lil asses off, obviously the monk nights when we donned out monks robes and crosses, the banter was top quality aswell, some really sound people were met along the way. Scott is an absolute legend and hopefully he will be out in bristol with us monks when he's next back in the uk. Nick aswell, top bloke for giving us all the free drinks that we had and doing that after we had got a written warning two days in!

i was another of the 15 girls who stayed in the Perkes from 13th to 20th july. To be fair the hotel is not the best..... (what an understatement).... we weren't expecting the world but we weren't impressed that 6 of our 15 got seperated and put in a totally different block of rooms down a dirt track no where near the rest of the hotel. Our rooms were awful, but the ones in the hotel were not too bad, just to be expected really very basic. The thing that suprised me is the noise restriction, surely the owners must know that the sort of market staying in the hotel will inevitably be noisy it comes with the territory!

Got back from Laganas on the 21st July and loved every minute of it, even when I hurt my wrist in the five-a-side footy comp!  The hotel ain't too quiet, but thats wt u want, it was a laugh and u met sum wicked people, Nick and Scott behind the bar are legends and Leggie is amazin!!!!!  I wana go back! Like people have been sayin u have got to go to Cherry Bay it is by far the best club in Laganas, and be warned do not even think about challengin Leggie to a drinkin contest, she is rather gud!

  Zante itself is amazing. Perkes hotel isn't too cracking to be fair! Yeah we probably woke u up on the night or rather morning of the incident. Sorry about that but  if you were in the same situation im sure you would have been crying like most of the girls were. The managers can be extremley nasty and intimidating towardsyou, so i advice anyone who goes to perkes, not to get on the wrong side of them. If you follow my advice you should be okay!

hey me n 5 other girls went to perkes 30th june to 7th july n we had an amazin time.we had heard bad reviews but we thought it was amazin.if ur goin look 4ward 2 it.rooms are fine, just the usual u wud expect, yeh u do have to pay for air conditionin but u do most places.the walk 2 the strip is fun..good for a bar crawl and walkin back is gud  help u sober up.we had an amazin time and met some brill people. the owners are lovely n really helpful.scott u r a legend (u beta remember us the 6 girls from manchester with the sunglasses!) all i can say is that i have recommened the hotel and next time i come to zante i will definatly stay at the perkes.start at the pool bar on a night out, its cheap and its real alcohol and scott made me the best cocktail ever!!!the food is nice and cheap! right near the hotel is a new bar called nickos..the drinks were really cheap.make sure u go 2 zeros, cocktails and dreams and dont miss out on cherry bay beach club.its an amazin holiday, go n av fun, iv still got the holiday blues!!!!xxx

Yeh and we are not the quietest group of girls. We thought we may have problems but we didn't despite not being particularly quiet ourselves. You can sit out on your balconies until the morning chatting and there is no problem. I think noise and general disrespect is the problem. You will not have a problem we had a fantastic time. As Vicki said, they were fine with us and Scott behind the bar is a legend. Have a brill time x x x

Just a comment to the guy below who does not sound 2 keen on the perkes hotel after reading the below comment! Me and my 2 best friends got back last week and we absolutely loved the place. Even though the owners took no nonsense regarding noise we had the best time ever, all the staff were polite especially scott behind the bar. We had no problems at all and neither did the guys we met over there. The owners basically did not like loud noise. We were there at the same time as the girls below and they were very noisey and did actually keep us awake at some point. It was not a major problem but if ur not rowdy then the owners r lovely 2 u. The whole place is amazing! We already want 2 go back!

If you do end up going to zante..........RESCUE, ZEROS and WAIKIKI are amazing!! The best clubs on the island!! Also cocktails and dreams!! You will have an amzing holiday if you dont stay in the perkes!! x

read this it will be to your benefit. i am another one of the fifteen girls who was well up for an amzing holiday in zante! dont get me wrong the place is amazing especially the strip but the perkes hotel is a joke, we are not the only people who have a bad word to say about it either. i was also one of the girls who got thrown out, i admit however that i was gobby and cheeky just generally a 17 year old girl having a good time but my other 3 friends who came to have to leave had done nothing wrong whatsoever. i found it absolutely disgusting that the hotel managers thought it okay to treat their guests in this way. as my friend ruth explained 2 of the girls were attacked and this could have quite easily ruined their holiday. nick threatened to take me to court on the basis that i had made false accusations he is a pathetic exuse for a hotel manager and a man and handles every situation in the wrong manner. if you are staying the perkes hotel i advise you not to get on the wrong side of him, he is a nasty piece of work and his wife rachel is a complete b***h. all that matters to them is their 2 children they own an 18-30's holiday and in my eyes this is not a place where children should be brought up, this is not the only problem us and many other guests had with the hotel, our rooms were cleaned once, things were hanging off the walls and coming in later than 11 o clock was though to be absolutely obseen. i had an absolutely amazing holiday in zante although the perkes hotel staff and owners could have quite easily made it a nightmare. please dont think of our comments as some stupid little girls making things up because everything we are saying is true. if you are willing to be bossed around by old men with no self respect or morals then maybe this is the place for you but standing up to them will land you in alot of trouble. another thing my friend ruth had to sign a contract saying that we were leaving the hotel immediately and basically of our own accord obviously this is not true. the reps scott and leggie did all they could to help us for example helping us find a room in another hotel but nick said if we didnt sign this contract then he would make it so hard for us to leave the country and we would never return to greece in the future. also our flights home would be cancelled although later on in the week we found out he did not have the authority to do this. he is a bully, a nasty man with nothing better to do, he found great pleasure in acting arrogant and sarcastic towards a group of 17 year old girls, we did not take it and therefore resulted in us being thrown out. please take time to read this.

We had a great time in Zante, only problem was Perkes has nooooo fridges, they only give this to young families and if you are diabetic. You have to pay for air conditioning (by the night).  It is very noisy, we could never get a sleep at night, doors banging and  walls so paper thin you can hear people walking past.  And the hotel is quite a stroll away from the main strip so I suggest you get a taxi.

We will certainly be back to visit Zante, but will stay a bit closer to the beach and not Perkes.  To all going I advise you to go to Waikiki if you like RnB and Hiphop and Mad Murphy's is a good bar too with a great atmosphere!

Just got back from the perkes! What a mint week! the 12 FC lads on tour in Zante!  The perkes is basic but just what u want, pool area and bar are great, get the free shots in! You will have a fantastic time. The rep leggie is class, she holds the downing record, altho we drew (so she insists)! Make sure you go on the 300+ people pub crawl, what a night! Just got back today  from 2 wicked weeks at the Perkes hotel! We've had a brill time n i want 2 go back already! Hotel is just what you need, basic but what more do you want? You won't be spendin that much time sober there!
Wanted to ask if anyone has any photos of Scott the barman at the Perkes?
Me and my m8s thort him and Nick were mint, had a gud laugh with them, bt when we've got our photos back n we aint got any of Scott!!
If anyone wants to kno anythin just drop me a line.
BTW look out for Leggie Leigh the rep, she's class, made the hol that much better, if you're readin this -HELLO! we've left you some comments on the plane q'aires. Get in touch soon!

The hotel is really nice and every1 there are great, its quite a walk from the beach especially during the day when its really hot, it doesn’t seem as far at night when your stopping off in every bar! Leggy is a class rep and good fun! There are plenty of bars to suit every1 and the clubs are all mint! the weather last week was boiling so spent most of the time sat by the pool or in it! Went on a boat trip round the island, it was a day trip and we booked it through smile tours was a great day out got to stop on the ship wreck and sore some dolphins. Whet on pub crawls and to nights like head candy and Dave Pierce! Anyway, any thing you want to know about e-mail me!

Ignore what everyone who slates The Perkes is saying, it isn't the cleanest of hotels but its pretty much what you expect really. You only really use your room for sleeping. The pool is one of the best in Zante, it's massive and fairly warm. You have to pay extra for air conditioning, and there was no sign of any fridges to be honest. The hotel is quite rowdy, but the BIG Aussie fella who owns it always makes sure things dont get out of hand. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the main strip, we always used to walk down and visit bars on the way, and usually got a taxi back. The taxis are only 3 euros so you cant really complain.

I have a map of the laganas main road, it tells u exactly where perkes is! couldnt be any further away from beach! i would say its way over a mile anyway! takes bout 25 mins to walk to it!

Perkes is a top hotel. Boys behind the bay are sound and although it's a walk, it's not too far to town. Had a top week and us KDK boys from Aberystwyth taught Leggie how we drink, Welsh style!!!!

Leggie, a few of us might be back out in a few weeks if you want a good night out :) No farms this time though!

went to the perkes last year (july/aug) and it was quality! there was 5 of us and staff are friendly, pools big and has the sun all day, foods fit aswel from the pool bar and its cheap! most importantly the bars and clubs are only a ten minute walk away so not far to treck when ur a stumbling p**s can!

is was actually the best holiday ive had n i wish i was goin back this year!
