Plaza Hotel

Hey just back from staying at the plaza 2 in zante.  This was one of the best holidays I have had so far.  The holiday was made by the staff in this hotel.  They created a cool and friendly atmosphere for all the guests.  If any one is headed out there soon please please pass on my regards to the bar staff and tell them the scottish girl says thanks for the football shirt!! I should have said that!! Thanks and enjoy... You will have a blast...

plaza 1 and 11 to fab for words came home yesterday rooms very clean maids in every day bedding changed 4 times a wk food in restrauant great 1 min walk to beach and 2 mins 2 strip but u hear little noise at night so u can sleep well owners and all staff wonderful nothing to much trouble

me and my now husband adam stayed at these apartments for the first time in june 05, and again in june 06, they are class, everything you need is right by you, the family who run these apartments are fantastic, and will do any thing for you, we are wanting to come back this year, and are trying to book direct, i have been on the official web site , but can only get as far as the reservations, does any one know where to go from there??, is there a different page i need to go on??, any advice will be apreciated,

Plaza II is top dog! myself n the lads went for 2 weeks last year and booked it again for 6th july for 14 nights. hotel is ace and right next to the beach, hotel vertually backs onto the main strip well...close enough so youve not got far to stumble out the bars n clubs...make sure u get in medusa!! the tunes be rockin in ther! mainly hip hop-dance catch you guys ther!

Hi everyone me and 13 of my friends are headin over to Zante on the 30th of july for 2 weeks. We are staying at the Plaza 2 just want to know if anyone has stayed thre before. I am just going over realy because my precious jodie will be there i cant bare to spend any time apart from her i might pop the question when wee are over there. Moving swiftly onn wee are taking a filthy GROUSE with us he will pester the life out of every girl also the filthy GROUSE loves grannys so all the oaps better watch out. To be honest the GROUSE is a realy nice guy if you like filthy GROUSES he is a big hit with the ladiez its almost legendery. Danny O' conor on the other hand is realy annoying he has the mind capacity of a 3 year old {no joke. Sean mguire is just so much fun there is a never a dull moment with this boy let me tell you he is always laughing always smiling always having fun and he never complains he never moans but the best thing about sean is he has great chat.

kelly the rooms are all pretty good big and airy but the bathrooms need updating if you have a shower sometimes the water comes up through the floor so put a towel down against the door but apart from that they are fine. o and the baths are very slippery when you have a shower so be careful.

but you will like it therejust a 30 sec walk to the beach and there is the family shop across the road so you can buy soft drinks for your room lol.

kelly the bars you are looking for are just a 3 min walk from the plaza you will have a great time i have  stayed in the plaza twice they are very nice people. hope you have a nice time.

This isnt a rating but I have a question and this seems like the best place to get it answered! It seems really simple but from reading the reviews we want to stay in Plaza 2 but I dont know how to book that rather than Plaza 1. On the website it doesnt say anything about having a Plaza 1 and a Plaza 2 and on the webpage im trying to book through it just says the plaza hotel with no number so i dont know which one im booking! Can anyone help?

We first visited Plaza l way back in 2005 and have been back every year since. Now we apply for Plaza ll as it is nearer the bar so I don't have too far to crawl.

George, Giota, Konstantina,Vassilli, Demitri and "Fix It man" are some of the nicest people you will ever wish to meet. It is like coming home as we are welcomed like family. The accomodation is basic but very clean and if you have any problems just mention it to George and he will sort it ASAP. The pool is a nice size and very child friendly.  The food is really, really good and very reasonably priced. If you like seafood order the prawn salad. It has the biggest prawns, almost like languostines. Wicked

We have made some good friends out there who have been coming for years. Hayley and her fella, Mick and Carol (the crazy Scousers) and their boys and Sandy and Allen, just to name a few. The bar/reception is open 24 hours a day but watch out for Stakis. If he is on duty and starts offering shots like Flaming Sambucas, but especially one called "Sinking Ships"...run like hell or you will regret it the next morning. Believe me, I know cos I didn't heed the advice.

I went to Zante for the first time on the 27th September for 2 weeks. Stayed at Plaza II and had the best time ever. The apartments are very clean and spacious, the food was good and the facilities were very well looked after. The pool is a great size and plenty of space to sun bath.

You could not fault the service that you received.

Defiantely going back next year

just got back from plaza 2 about an hour ago i agree the plaza 1 does need upgrading and the work is due to start in 2 weeks they are making the rooms bigger and new electrics throughout. george and his wife are going to spend about three hundred thousand euros on plaza 1 so they know the work is needed and well overdue. plaza2 on the other hand is much better great pool and the staff are great . lola behind the bar is fantastic and the cleaners are helpful and polite.

We have just got back from 2 weeks in Laganas, staying in Plaza I, all i can say is what a dump! i know Greece is basic but this takes it to a whole new level.(low)
On Day 2 the already loose door handle came off in my hand, this followed the night before when my hairdryer caught fire due to the dodgy electricity.
It was water torture as even when the taps were turned off the water kept on pouring, this also included the apartement above sharing their water with us every time they used the shower, via the bathroom ceiling. Also be warned in Plaza I if more than 2 or 3 people are showeing at the same time there is no hot water for the rest of the apartments, (this right from the owners mouth) also it is solor powered so on the more cloudy days hot water was not present at all.
Do not beleive the brochure, the pool in Plaza I is not in use. and i doubt even the most adeventurous person would want to take a dip if it was.
There were fag burns in the wardrobe, holes in the sheets, The outside door to the apartment had gapaing holes in it, and only 2 of the 5 lights worked. Paza II is much nicers, the pool is lovely and the bar area is nice.
This is not however a slight on the resort. Laganas was wonderful, we has the best holiday! i recoment hiring a quad on 25 Euros for the day and you can get really quite far on one tank of fule only 10 Euros.
overall the holday get 10/10 the Plaza I gets a very generous 1/10 all i can say is it was clean.

we all had a fantastic 3 weeks with george and giota in May and are returning back there 27th september. Can`t wait to go back.

George and giota also own the shop over the road which we found to be one of the cheapest on the island..

Darren and Howard also enjoyed fishing from the harbour and they caught quite a few fish, all of which were released back into the sea.

We have made friends with a fantastic family who own helen apartments who are absolutely fantastic. When Michelle first went to greece 3 years ago she was very ill and taz and family were a fantastic support to darren, taking him back and forth to the hospital for visiting and keeping him entertained in the evening. That is one of the main reasons we keep going back to the resort.

One great place we also found for home cooked meals was panos and the best cooked breakfast on the island has to be from chevy`s

Hi, went to Plaza 2 in middle of July, hotel is situated parallel to the strip.  When you walk out the front door it is a 3 min walk up the street and round and you are there.  There is a take-way shop called big boys and it is just down from there and around.  Easy to get to.  Also the beach is a 2 min walk from the hotel as well, out the front door turn left and you are there.

plaza II is brilliant. ideally located for the beach and just around the corner for the clubs and pubs, there isnt a lot of noise from the pubs, so you wont be kept up til all hours! george and family are the best, we go to zante every year but stay in different resorts but always go to see george and the family. they are so welcoming. seen a lot of changes over the years at plaza II and it just gets better. the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. the cleaning staff and there standards are great. the pool is perfect for everyone, plenty of sunbeds and the beach is right on the back door. the food is unbelievably good, try georges meatballs and chips - to die for! the bar area is brilliant. the greek night is not to be missed, well worth the 10 euros, george does a mean barbeque!

the rooms were  good if you did not look at the blankets[ bit tatty!] and the shower leaked .the family were great that run it ,greek night was great there!! had a good time food was ok .we went 19/10/06 one day of rain.good time for familys as it is not packed in the street's but not all shop's are open!!!

We stayed in the Plaza 11 and really enjoyed it, the weekly Greek BBQ was excellent value for money and while we where there George put on a free BBQ for the England v Greece football match. The family are so nice and will do anything to try and help you with your stay

We are coming to stay at Plaza 2 on Thursday 20th July. This will be our 1st time abroad, can anyone help us with some information. We are bringing a frozen leg of lamb for our Sunday lunch and wondered if Asda in Zante sold the same things as they do here. We dont want to bring gravy granuals if they are readily available. Also, do they sell Hob Nobs and Penguin biscuits. When we go to the beach, how much do deckchairs and windbreaks cost? Can you hire them for the hour, or do you have to hire them for the day? In the rooms, are there both DVD players, and video players, it is easier for us to bring DVD's rather than videos. If there is no DVD player, how far is it to Blockbuster, can you walk, or do you have to get a taxi? We dont drink alcohol, does the bar sell Vimto, and which nights and at what time does bingo start> Any information will be greatly appreciated, so we can keep within the 20kg weight regulations for our baggage. Thank you.

You'll have no problem changing your travellers cheques, this accomadation is "EXCELLENT" with George and his family, willing to sort out any problems for his guests IMMEDIATLEY.

ive never been to plaza II before, doews anyone know if they change travellers cheques in the reception at Plaza II? i go on the 6th july and i have just got my travellers cheques and am now concern that it wont be easy to change them, thanx

we have been 2 the plaza 11, 4 times and each time it was great! we r not visiting there this year but have already booked to return next july 07 yipeeee! the hotel is brill and george and his family are so friendly each time we have returned we have brought different friends with us 2 experience a holiday of a life time. when we visited the plaza 2 in june 05 they were doing improvements on the restaurant it will be great 2 c the out c*m. 10/10 to the plaza 11 and the wonderful family that run it look forward 2 seeing u all again in july 07.  lots of love  dawn and andy hulley xxx

THE APPARTMENTS ARE IN A GREAT LOCATION, THE BEACH IS JUST SECS AWAY , AND THE BUZZING STRIPS JUST MINS, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR.

i have recentaly just got back from staying in plaza 2 it was fantastic. The staff were really nice even the maids. . I would recommand this hotel to anyone who was looking to saty somewhere on zakinthos island. P.s. I love you turass.

Stayed at Plaza II last May for a week and will be arriving on 4th May this year for 2 weeks.  Now, what does that say...  It's basic accommodation, but very clean.  Food is excellent and all staff very helpful.  We have two young children (aged 3 and 5) and they love it.  It's in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk from all the bars, restaurants and beach.  Laganas only really opens in May and is not too lively at this time of year - excellent for families, but also anyone looking for a good beach holiday with good nightlife will not be dissapointed.  If you haven't been to Zante before, do consider staying here with George and his family - you will have a great holiday.

Would hire a motor boat for a few hours and just go out to the island drop anchor, and use flippers and mask and just relax.    Some much to do if you want, We hired a large motor bike and slowly went around the island.  If you go on trips I would recommened using the tour operator, a few euros more but you wont be put on boat's etc like cattle.  Scuba diving is great, again I would use the reps,s.  Plenty of tic tok men on beach selling CD's etc a ferm NO and they will leave you alone. So many place's to eat it's great.  Every body staying there are relaxed.  Look forward to another relaxing holiday with my wife, daughter and her friend (Adults really).

zante is the best!!!!!! we went last year and it was marvellous! George and the family are lovely they looked after us well for the 2 weeks we stayed!!!!! Rescue all the way!!!!!! best club on the strip. Hope are london bessies are ok, Stewart,Noel, Dennis and the gang had a marvellous week wit ya's. were goin to malia this year for 2 months to work out there but have never been before so anyone got any info about it. let me no thanks.

Go to Plaza 11 every may but due to moving house & other stuff had to miss out last year but going this year only 101 days to wait
