Sarah M  (24 July 2004)

Lovely setting, but my food was cold both times we visited the restaurant and the service was so quick one time that it made you think the food wasn't very fresh.

Sarah T  (18 July 2004)

karen sarah and charlotte loved the food served here. the prices were a little more than average but worth it. Angelo you are a legend and if you have any jobs goin, please let us no. we would also like to say that you english is very good even tho your canadian. hee hee. missin you already love the girls x x x

Vicky M  (16 July 2004)

don't be put off by the sleazy guy at the door he is very friendly and not too pushy. would recomend the chicken kebab meal! really good restaurant one of the best in argassi!

Sara D  (16 July 2004)

We ate here on the first night of our holiday - mainly because we were too tired to turn down the pleas of the PR man!!

The food is OK but very overpriced.

The roofgarden is lovely and probably makes the restaurant well worth a visit.

Rachel (14 July 2004)

i wanted to know the name and address of a restaurant that is on the walk to the beach. it had a waitress there was was irish, 2 waiters that were from albania the food was fantastic and everyone was friendly, can anyone help me?

Matt D  (12 July 2004)

After a very warm welcome from Angelo (the canadian guy on the door!) we went upstairs and had a lovely view overlooking the sea, service was very good and all staff really friendly, food was great and very reasonable, definately worth a visit!!!

Jon M  (12 July 2004)

food was beautiful, everything eas perfect, we ate here twice sat up on the roof garden both times was very enjoyable, canadain guy was very welcoming on the enterance Yasuo (cheers)

Chris   (11 July 2004)

We ate here one evening and found the service to be very efficient, if not a little hurried. The food was ok, although not memorable as we couldn't tell you what we had and we only ate there a week ago.

Anthony D  (08 July 2004)

this place should be re-named afros**te. bloody awful asked foe barbeque chicken wings it tasted like tomato soup over the skinny wings. lasagna more meat on a skeleton. crap

Donald H  (08 July 2004)

We thought that this was a first class restaurant with first class food and first class service. We dined there four nights out of seven. I can specially reccomend the chicken polo casa, steak, and would like to say that they provide a very varied and extensive menu which should suit all tastes. The service was fantastic especially young Philip who made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful and had plenty other advice to help us have a fantastic holiday. 10/10 Donald Hay, Oban, Scotland.

Terry D  (06 July 2004)

6 of us ate here (july '04) and all had somthing different, none of us were
dissapointed, the grilled steak was particularly good, the service was prompt,
and the menu was very extensive.

David G  (29 June 2004)

We stopped here for lunch on our last day. Snack menu range was okay but the food was not great - chips luke warm and crisps stale.
Friendly and speedy service though

Elizabeth A  (17 June 2004)

I loved this place!! I have no idea why it has 2 out of 10 on the ratings seeing as the last handful of comments where fantastic. We stayed 3 weeks and this rest. was the best. We went here all the time. The staff are so nice, really gives you that warm hospitable greek feeling we all hear of so much. the range of dishes are unbelievable! Definatly something for everyone. I likes their salads.HUGE! and the Zante Chicken, unreal!! My husband loved the steaks and the Zakynthian beef. For what you get the prices are great. Great atmospher upstairs, away from everthing. I can't say enough. A ten on our list.
Thanks guys!!

Leanne F  (13 October 2003)

i thought this place was a bit s**t really. certain family members thought it was ok.
couldn't have been that good we never went back :(

Chris S  (25 September 2003)

Ate here one night and the food was dreadful. It arrived 5 minutes afer we ordered it freshly reheated from a microwave. We left most of it behind us. Give this one the big miss..

Anthony R  (14 September 2003)

tried on our first noight and it was excellent went again later on in our second week and the kebab meat was preety poor so on the whole watch what you order

Louise F  (05 September 2003)

I have to say this is the BEST restaurant in Argassi! Our waitress Shannon looked like she belonged on the runway instead of in a restaurant. She was extremely helpful and very attentive! Thankx Sannon! Hope you are having a great time there! Miss you tons! Can't wait to go to Sandbar when you and George come back!
Luv Louise!

Kellie S  (20 August 2003)

We had a very nice meal here, despite it being very busy we didnt have to wait very long. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely.

Marian A  (20 August 2003)

I cannot believe so may positive comments have been made about this restaraunt. The place looks great but on the night I visited (last week), that was about it. The service was slow, the food was mediocre and very expensive. I had Zakynthos beef but the meat was substandard and I left most of it. A family sat at the next table returned two of their dishes because they were inedible but to be fair they were replaced without question. Overall I left feeling very disappointed and ripped off and needless to say, I did not return.

Jackie W  (20 August 2003)

Atmosphere was lovely. Large restaraunt with two sides.Open air. Illuminated palm trees in the middle. Great view of the sea. Fabulous food. Lamb kleftico is wonderful! See you all next year! We'll deffinatly be back!

Carla B  (20 August 2003)

We absolutly LOVED this place!! FANTASTIC selection. Away from the noise of a typical street side rest. 'cause your up high on the second level. We didn't even know it was the same place connected to the downstairs half of it. It was the only place on the resort that had a lift in it which made it possible to get to with the wheelchair for nan.Whole family loved it. Service was EXCELLANT! We had a great time everytime we went. Thank you so much for everthing guys! Your the best!See you in october!

Anthony C  (04 August 2003)

The food here was great. By far the best place to eat, staff very friendly !! Enjoy the menu !

Micheal O  (25 July 2003)

They've got our vote! Great view over the action in Argassi and in the back, calming view of the sea. Try the Chicken Souvlaki,or the mixed grill souvlaki, portions are HUGE! And very tasty. Good kids menu, and reasonable prices. We all agree that you pay for what you get. No complaints from 6 adults and 3 kids. We went back 3 out of the 7 nights we were there. Breakfast is worth a mention to. Service was excellent! Thanks for everything guys!See you in Sept!

Barry N  (15 July 2003)

Good food, try the lamb dishes especially. Maybe a little pricier than others but worth it. Meal for two never more than 30 euros

Becky   (10 July 2003)

My boyfriend absolutely loved the food here! The service was really good and the food was nice but perhaps a bit expensive!

Bronwen B  (05 July 2003)

I agree with Tim - it was the first place we ate in on our first night in the middle of June and it was AWFUL. Never went back. We only ordered a pizza each and they managed to make even that taste foul. Most expensive place we ate in too and the service was crap. Piccadly, Eratus, Zorbas and the Green Frog are all excellent to eat in instead - great food, good service, and fantastic value. Give Afrodite a wide berth.

Rebecca C  (20 February 2003)

We had a fabulous time here! Completely different from all the other rest. we went to in Argassi. Waited about 5 min. for a seat, food was fantastic. Unbelievable selection, must have been over 200 choices. I had the chicken a la zante, which was huge!,and very tasty. Husband had the swordfish which he said was one of the best cuts he'd had since we'd been there. Service was excellent. Complimentry wine, and a couple of incredibly tasty shots from the barmen. What was that again?? Sat for about 3 and a half hrs. Brill! Went back 6 days out of 7 we were there after that. Loved it! c-ya all next year!CHEERS!

Shirley C  (11 October 2002)

Where did you eat Tim? We ate there the night after you, the service was first class, the food delicious no waiting at all!Waiter was chatty and helpful, complimentary drinks the best on the Island .Please go there, we loved it!!

Tim S  (03 October 2002)

First restaurant on our first night. Desperate to get us into the restaurant, but stood for 15 mins waiting on a table, and another 20 minutes to have the table cleared, re-set and get a menu. Food wasn't very good when it arrived. All in all, pretty terrible!

Lesley M  (02 October 2002)

I enjoyed our evening meal there on the rooftop terrace. No complaints. Breakfast there is worth a mention, it was the least greasy we had and there are free refills of Tea & Coffee

Mark S  (27 September 2002)

Food was the poor and not fresh, the worst meal we had during the two weeks. The Staff were more intrested in preening themselves and parading about "looking good" We will never go there again. The price was way above the value of the food

Gordon P  (20 September 2002)

very nice place to eat nice staff very good food large portions much better than the place over the road(the posidon)

Nigel M  (13 September 2002)

In our opinion, this was the best meal we had. My partner had the special lamb dish, and I went for the moussaka. We were so pleased with the meal, we saved a revisit for our final night. Speaking as experts, we can confirm that this place does the BEST banana splits in the resort.

Claire T  (04 September 2002)

We had the special lamb dish which was very good. Service was excellent, we were served by an American girl who was very friendly. The apple pie left a lot to be desired.

Paul G  (22 August 2002)

the food was great, service was ok, but overall u will enjoy your meal here.

Nadeem B  (12 August 2002)

food was Great!! really nice - really really nice! We had a better time at Illision and Target but this was probably the best food!! Although not as cheap as others! Definatly worth a meal! Nad

Emma B  (26 July 2002)

Although it wasn't wonderful, it wasadequate as we were all hungry after a day of travelling. I had sweet and sour chicken with rice, t was tasty enough although not the best i've had. It was a generous portion, and piping hot.

Cheryl L  (26 July 2002)

Was the second worst meal we had, the worst being at the Star. Four of us ate there, we had steak(tough, overcooked, asked for medium, 2 x lamb dishes again tough and fatty and one curry(not too bad) service ok price about average

Phantom T  (23 July 2002)

Very Very VERY average How we stopped out plastic garden table tipping over i will never know !! Go to the tropicana instead !!

Shaun S  (21 July 2002)

Was given a free glass of wine with our meal, This tasted like paintstipper. The meal was Average

Barrie R  (08 July 2002)

It was well located. The service was a little slow in getting our drinks. I thought the choice of food was very good, nothing amazing though. My girlfriend had the swordfish which she liked.

Nina M  (29 June 2002)

The food here was not very good. I ordered the Red Snapper & it was luke warm & the vegetables , potatoes etc were cold & the children didn't think much of their chicken nuggets either. Also I asked for cider & got soda, easy mistake to make I suppose, but we didn't like it hear at all.

Jane G  (21 May 2002)

One of the worst meals we had in our whole holiday. We had a chicken kebab meal, meat was ok but pitta bread had been fried and was greasy, served with chips(oh why is everything served with chips is this how the greeks eat?) that were crispy to say the least, do not recommend

Fiona D  (24 October 2001)

We were very disappointed. We had read all the comments before we left England so we saved the restaurant until our last night, very bad decision. Poor service and more expensive than other meals elsewhere where we had chosen the same things.

Dek H  (12 October 2001)

if you are in argasi try this restaurant. good food and wine although if you like alot of chips order a side dish as well with your main course.you'll find that chips are spa**e in all the restaurants in general. plenty of meat in the meat dishes.the staff are very good.

Chas C  (02 October 2001)

very good view

Anna F  (20 September 2001)

We thought this was one of the best restaurants we had been to. The food was cooked to perfection and the waiters and waitresses were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. There is also a good friendly atmosphere.

Andrea R  (14 August 2001)

Lovely deserts!!! Nice view of Sunset

Jo M  (14 July 2001)

Nice rooftop location, good food with large choice. Not so good when the weather is windy and you are sat outside. The Greek food served in clay pots was especially good.

John F  (14 July 2001)

The food was good although I felt that the chicken dish that I had was a bit creamy and left me feeling bloated. My partner had one of the steak dishes, he thoroughly enjoyed it, however all the restaurants where we ate steak were great, I think that they must be a speciality over there.

Chris I  (01 July 2001)

rooftop restaurant but downstairs seating also.Food was absoluyely fantastic. One of the best.Greek meals in clay pots recommended including Beef Argassi.TIP,go to gift shop next door first & on counter they have 10% off cards for Afrodite.(think shop is called Mosaic)

Paul   (29 June 2001)

Food was very good everybody around seemed to like it I had a Beef Stroganoff which was excellent the wife had Lasagne which she thought had too much cheese sauce she was just jealous as hers is usually burned! Location is very good it even has a lift for wheelchairs and prams Food was cheap around 2800drs for each main meal and 500drs for garlic bread with cheese.

Connie B  (27 June 2001)

The view was not as good as expected, but the food was very good so well worth a visit.

Tracy P  (21 June 2001)

A very pleasant evening was spent here, the food was lovely.

Janet   (09 June 2001)

Lovely meal, location and food well worth a visit!!!

Martin S  (30 May 2001)

Another rooftop place like Zorbas on the opposite side of the road. Again, no complaints from 8 people about the food.

David K  (21 May 2001)
