hi i am going to zante in may and i have just read the comments on the hotel i am staying in canadian studios they are ment to be very dirty and no hot water after half five and the water turns brown if this is true then i will have to change my choice of hotel due to takeing my 10mth old baby with me can any one help

I AM GOIN IN SEPT. HAS NEONE GOT NE PICS OF THE CANADIAN APARTMENTS THAT TEY CUD EMIAL ME PLS....

I would like information and pictures on the Canadian Apartments in laganas in Zante. Thanx

can anyone tell me if the helen studios are near the canadian studios as our friends are staying there the same time as us

i disagree with the lads comment on being lady "preditors". nobody like them at the apartments (which were class might i add!) and they were geeks!! bar staff friendly as to were reception, great location, clean apartments and friendly rep.

Hi all, I went to Laganas 5 years ago and it was fantastic, me and mates are going to the Canadian Apartments on the 23rd of may 2004, can anyone let me know what are the best clubs and bars to go in, if anyone is stayin here on this date get in touch

we were there from august 17th - september 1st and we all had a absolutely brilliant holiday the bar staff were fantastic. The food was really good, the rooms were basic but very clean!

I was there from 14/9 to 21/9 with 5 other lads that melted the ladeyz of Zante! We were players that turned into predators and dispersed like ants around the place bringing our feed home!

By the end of the week we were gained a reputation as ladies men and were swapmed with offers (as the girls said they couldn't meet any blokes due to the female/male ratio there... :)
The Canadian apartments have good location, 2 mins from Laganas beach (which is poor, go on the trip to Shipwreck Beach and Smuggler's Cove)and 5 mins from the main strip of restaurants, bars, clubs etc.

Rooms were cleaned 3 times a week to a very high standard. The rooms itself are basic, but very nice. All staff are very helpful and extremely friendly (our Rep - Matt from Thomas Cook was very poor though).

I would say these apartments are more suited for the 18-30 type crowd, but all seemed to enjoy that stayed there.

It was your basic room with 2/3 lights not working.
Not in any way suited for a family.
Ideal for anyone doing the 18-30 thing,
and ideally suited location-wise for lagana town.

I particularly enjoyed the Canadian Apts built in radio.
Channel B was my favourite.

I particularly did not enjoy the pool/waiter dude having a go
at my mate for drinking water not purchased on the premises.

we got back from laganas on the 22nd august and were there for two weeks. it was the best two weeks ever. We went as a group of five and met so many people. the reps were brilliant especially kay-marie, matt, ben, phil, nick and lucy. brilliant to get on with and always willing to help wiv any problems. The activities were brilliant we went on 2 bar crawls (i only remember 1) 2 monday madnesses(drink loads before black and white as the drinks were expensive) the cruise to see the turtles and the cabouret on the last night (ive never laughed as much). The majority of the staff were nice especially andreas, hows the new missus?? you dirty dog. the people we met were lovely especially the cockneys across, the scots down below and adam + craig. The best place to eat was captain morgans, even though rubys was nice aswell. the best bars were la bamba, bad boys, waikiki and cherry bay. We would definately go back to laganas again but only if the reps were still there. Its perfect for a great girls holiday. We all miss it loads.

we were at canadian from 24 july to 7th august, had a great time think were going next year! hi to the manchester lads, the school boys, jody and duncan, the scottish lads including THE LEG and the Dudley boys...

3 girls from liverpool stayed in 45 14 to 28 july. hotel was the best though the cleaners gossipped about me. they told all the staff exactly where i slept each night! any1 going shud get air con coz its unbearable without it! pool was a laugh and hi 2 any1 we met out there. going bak next year!

we were 5 girls staying in the canadian from the 29th june for 2 weeks. we had a fab time, the apartments were full of mainly 20 somethings all wanting to have a good laugh. hi to the lads from leeds, scotland and colin (who through me in the pool) and stuart. u know who you are!
bar staff were good. ladies watched out for irvine...harmless but sometimes a bit p**vy! but you've always got the sexy rep matt!

Got back from the canadian apartments the 3rd of July, was there for 2 weeks.The apartments were very basic, 2 hob cooker attached to the draining board of the sink. The shower wasnt surrounded by a shower curtain and you had to hose yourself down with it bcos it wasnt attached to the wall.Our balcony faced a brick wall but if we turned and looked to the right we cud see the garden which wasnt too bad and we had privacy on the balcony. The people who run the retaurant were very nice('cheers boss') ,the cleaner was nice to us the day b4 we were leavin and even nicer wen she saw the table full of stuff that we had left, she was cranky the times b4 that shoutin at us in greek ! The hotel was bout 7 mins walk from the beach and bout 15 mins walk from the main bars and clubs. Amazing upbeat atmosphere,with pumpin tunes in the cocktail and dreams bar. The best restaurant is 'Hermoins' which is 2 mins from the hotel and the man outside literally sings the menu to u.
I wouldnt recommend the hotel to families, its more a young persons apartment and is really lively at night so dont expect much sleep!!
Overall the apartments were good and we had a great holiday thanx to the friendly locals and brilliant atmosphere around the island.

I went in june on a lads holiday and it was awesome, people behind the were great 2 get on wiv, maybe because we payed their wages the amount we drank, i would recomment this place 2 any1(loads of birds around the pool aswell) 4 birds 2 every lad!!! me and the lads r on about going back

Just back from the canadian and had a fab time. They are v basic apartments but are liveable, apart from the towel situation, you only get a handtowel to last you a week. The staff were so nice, especially Andreas and Marino. They are about a 10 min walk to the main strip but there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, especially Garden of Eden. Loved these apartments and would go back in a second!

Just got back on 20 June 2003. The staff were rude and the male staff slimey. If you order drinks make sure its from the bar and not the tables. They charged us twice for bar bills! The rooms were dirty and the towel provided the size of a face cloth. Hot water ran out after 5.30pm and would turn brown. The food, though, was good and the choice surprising. Nothing really so bad that it would spoil your holiday.

The Canadian apartments, although near the beach (which smells of fish) were a good 15 minute walk from all the bars. SO make sure you have drinks for the journey or you sober up before you get there! For really nice food try Salt and Pepper Restuarant - proper homemade Greek cooking!

Its a good job its the people who you are with that make the holiday and not the place!

Best holiday we have had. Canadian apartments were fantastic, very clean, staff were great, food was excellent. Bar was great. Pool was great. We were close to everywhere, beach was a 5 min walk. Laganas is great place to holiday. Jeep rental was cheap. Would give Canadian apartments 10 out of 10. Our 3 children had a great holiday. Would go back in a minute. Hello to Leonardo and Arvin for being great, hope to return soon. We were there 11 May 2003 till 26 May 2003.

This place is cool - execpt for the crazy maids.
Bar staff rule - Iceman, Terry Venables, Collina (The ref) + Marino are all top class people. And not forgetting Irwin in Mary's place - He's a legend.

If any one who is going there can finish a "Zombie Bloody Hell" fair play to you !!!!

very noisy, not good for families but suitable for those looking for sun, sea, sand and plenty of the other! which is readily available.
take plenty of large towels as linen is only changed 3 times in 2 weeks. You need to buy your own loo roll too!
Always lock your door and leave the key in and make sure balcony door is securly locked.

if you go here all i can say is keep all your doors locked including balcony when you are in bed. and use a safe.

I will be there from the 10th July for two weeks. 4 lads and one girl from Sutton Coldfield. You will be able to recognise us as we won't have suntans from sleeping all day. (Trying to get some sun this year though).

i didnt like it here very much! it was very very basic but the staff where nice watch out for taio he is the waiter he will follow you up stairs wanting some and also franki from the cafe next door he is the same! thae manager is very nice though! good food and a nice clean pool! and FREE sun beds

Four out of seven geordie lads stayed in the Canadian Sept 2002. (The other three ended up there all the time anyway!) Apartments were top with top people running it, apart from the mental cleaners!! Long shot but would like to get in contact with the Scots girls who lived opposite, Michelle the nurse in edinburgh (just soi you know who you are!!), Jenna, Jenny (I think!) and can't remember the other one's name!!SORRY! Anyway, top place, I'd recommend it!

8 of us went here in July 2001. it was fabulous. me and my gal pals loved it. Appartment were clean and basic, just what you need on hols. The people who ran the place were so friendly and kind and we loved Friday!! It was full of youngters and a good atmosphere for the 2 weeks. I'd definatley go back A.S.A.P! thanks Canadian

Just found this site so i thought id add my comments. Me and my mate stayed here Aug 2000 and had a fab time!! Room was basic but enough for us. Staff were brill and friendly, perhaps the greek waiters were TOO friendly!! It was a gr8 holiday but unfortunately ive not had the chance to go again. Hope to in the future.

the canadian was basic but all we need is a goodnight sleep after a sunning around the pool witch is clean and then the night life is good food is good. the staff are the best i have met anywhere denis is a good man he will sit and have a drink with you and friday she is a very nice lady she is very funny and great to talk to from room 45 from 19 september to 26 september 2002

JUST GOT BACK FROM THE CANDDIAN APARTMENTS ON THURSDAY( 19/9/2)WE HAD A GREAT TIME,ALL THE STAFF ARE GR8,THE FOOD AT THE SNACK BAR IS FANTASTIC. THE BEST BIT WAS THE GREEK NIGHT FOR 10EURO THAT INCLUDES A HUGE BARBACUE MEAL,DANCING AND GR8 ENTERTAINMENT,I DANCED ALL NIGHT

We were really disappointed with our "apartment". It was dirty (I agree with earlier comments about manky pillow cases and towels!!) and bathroom was awful. Sporadic hot water and the water was often a nice pee colour. If you want a cup of tea then take a travel kettle otherwise put the water on the hob and then voila TWO HOURS later your water might nearly be boiling. Staff were friendly though (Friday especially). Also, take your ear plugs as there were people shouting all through the night when were there. Plus real shame the pool was right on the busy road. Luckily we three girls had a good sense of humour, if you don't I suggest you take your Valium.

Hi it's Elaine + Rach + Uucy the three fake scousers who stayed in room 45 between the 16-30 Augest 2002. Are room was a total mess when we arrived the tiolet seat was dirty, which we had to clean, there were pubes on the floor, dirty tissues under the bed don't ask what was on it and are sheets and pillowa minged!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dennis sorted it out though andgave us a free breaky so it was o.k in the end!!!!!! the cleraners also shouted at us aa well! very rude! By the way chris hows my bikni? Elaine x

Hello, pink ladies here again! just a message to the 4 lads who stayed in rooms 22 and 23. we stayed there too but there were 3 of us in each room. (the drain blocked in the bathroom in 23) we were also in rooms 47 (where the bathroom light and the shower didnt work) and room 12 (which stunk of wet dog and pot noodle!) hope yous enjoyed your stay anyway and the security man was a good lad. we called him pedro! PS the cleaners were always shouting at us too!

4 lads all staying in rooms 22 and 23 we had a wicked laugh got our free shot from dennis,met friday she was always happy, and who remember the guard, what a funny little man i think that all he could really say was "you you sleep sleep you in big trouble with dennis" turns out he was pretty east going in the end, unfortunely i think dennis grew to diskike us rather a lot, food was good, pool was great, rooms good too, don't know about the cleaners though mosr morning they came in shouting ang screaming at us ha ha. "you boys you boys are so disgusting oooooooo!!!!!" we went to the karioky nite,the bbq night (great steaks)dan was a nice lad took us out on bar cruel huh!! 12€ to follow someone about oh well, but apart from the smell of s**t some nights,electric going,thunder storm and the odd earthquake ha ha, we had a brill stay!! so i'll say googbye ang hello to everyone we met((gilbert,ince,stevie d,mince,danny,racheal,ellain,donna,mineze,paul,katie,gem.gen,?,and del peiaro the secruity guard

Had a great holiday the people were very friendly, especially Denis and Friday. Daniel the JMC rep was brillant. Food at the Apartment Bar was fantastic, with different specials everyday what else could you ask for. We would definitely recomend the Canadian to anyone and everyone, we are hoping to go back next year, see you soon. Ps, Jem and Kathy if by any chance your reading this we are the 4 from Hull so get in touch.

The ten geordie birds have just came home from the best time of their lives! the apartments are great, the people are really friendly and the reps are a right laugh. a big hello to everyone there especially dennis, daniel, gaz, phil ('trevor') thomas 'TURTLE', and all of the friends we met out there too! we couldve stayed there even longer!

10 girls from newcastle have just got bk from here was ok but basic! reps are good!!overall had a great time!

hiya the canadian is a gud place 2 be but all i can say is watch out for the greek men workin there on a night time when you get back from the town cause there quiet p**verted!! hey dennis is cool cheers 4 the free drinks!!! lus its got a rather nice rep called daniel!xx

basic appartments, quite a lot of noise during the night, great if your with your mates on hols, not so good if your a family with young children. in the bar the crisps and pop/ice-cream are a little over priced. go to the supermarket next door instead.

We are ten Geordie lasses staying at these apartments on 4th Aug for two weeks. Any fit blokes going should be wary coz Zante here we come!

this place was clean and good standard since its rated a two star. Best breakfast in town will cost 4 euros and the staff are really friendly. 5mins to the nicer end of the beach and 10mins to the main strip all in all a good holiday.

my friends family and my own stayed at canadian apartments the second week in may, have to say the staff were great, the food was very good and very reasonable, nice pool on the site and only about 5 mins from the beach and 15 to the main strip. we will be be going back next year.

We went last year in Aug. The place is a bit different than it looks on the brochure but still nice enough. The food in the bar was very good and also cheap, friendly and helpfull staff aswell. Only bad points were having the pool right next to the main road and also dont ask fo a pool view as there are only two rooms that had this. We had one, nice view but right over the kitchens so it gets so hot, we had to hire to fans to battle the heat. Good place though.

Does anyone know which holiday brochure I can find the Canadian Hotel in? It used to be a JMC hotel but I can't find it in any brochures! Cheers

myself and a group of mates have just returned from laganas and it must be said that the hotel we stayed at was brilliant. we went with jmc and didnt have any hitches. the hotel is a short walk from the beach but it has its own swimming pool which is very clean. although the holiday was self-catering there is a bar selling food.the food was really nice and the prices were relatively cheap. the hotel was also a short walk from the main strip, it was a nice distance bcos you could get a decent nights sleep. the apartments were basic and very clean.they get cleaned pretty much every other day and the linen get s changed often. all i have to say is beware of the toilet roll situation bcos its so easy to block the toilets and make sure you have a shower early on unless of course you like em cold. the owners are really aweet and very helpful.id recommend this hotel to ne1, it was hassle free which enabled us to enjoy ourselves as much as we could!

This had a decent pool with lots of totty lying around it. The Toasties in the bar weren't too bad either.
