Poseidon Beach Hotel

This is a lovely and quiet hotel with nice pool, very clean and maintained to a high standard. Just back from there and cos it was off season it had an older crowd and was very couply, which was a bit of a dissapointment, depending on what you are looking for of course!! Only downside was the brekkie, not really worth getting up for but depending on how hungry you are it's ok!! About 15 minutes walk from main nightlife which was a bit of a pain, especially if one is drunk! Comfy shoes a must! It's blister city! A gr8 holiday!!!

I haven't been, but just tried to book and there are some road works 50 metres from the entrance and they are building a new Hotel very close to Poseiden Beach Hotel. We have booked into Victoria Hotel instead.

We spent 2 glorious weeks at this hotel in Aug 1994, not sure if things have changed but the following comments may be of help. It is located on the beach about 15 mins walk to the centre of Laganas either along the beach or by road. The pool area is very good also there are sunbeds and umbrellas on a grass area next to the beach for which there is a small charge but can be refunded at the pool bar. There are also good bars and restaurants near to hotel, one in particular we regularly went to was called "Piggies", not sure if it is still going. The centre is very lively with plenty of clubs, cocktail bars & restaurants. Location of the hotel means that you can walk away back to the quieter area. Touring the island is well worth the effort, but take care if you use motor bikes, the roads are very smooth and slippy in some areas.Zakynthos town is relatively small as the capital but worth going to especially the bar on the front where the peacocks are. The cross and lagoon at Kambi is also an highlight. The authorities are very strict regarding walking along the beach after dusk towards Kalamaki, so don't attempt it. The airport is small and can be chaotic if lots of planes are arriving & departing at same time.

I too would like some information on the Poseiden beach hotel. It looks nice and I have booked for later this year but I would still like to hear the views of anyone who knows it. Cheers
