Krinas Hotel

Accommodation in Argassi

Security pathetic. 4 Apartments (Rooms 616 -619), including ours, broken into on the second night (14th August). Attitude of Police and hotel management made us feel like offenders rather than victims!!! Would return to Argassi but certainly not the Krinas.

Just back from Krinas, and had a great time. It was my wife and i second time in Argassi, and we'd definitely go back to this hotel again. The only annoying noises came from the roosters which were directly below our room, but you get used to the wake up call(meaning you can get a sun-lounger!!) the walk up the hill isn't half as bad as people say it is, it takes about 5 minutes to get to the beach and its not that steep. Overall, holiday was fantastic, and a little tip for anyone thinking of going to Papillon apartments.....THINK AGAIN....the words cocroach infested & jail cell spring to mind!!

Had a great two weeks here, not a single complaint, if u like a good view room 403 is the one to have.

Not too bad, bit disappointed in the room we had room 238 in the cellar with a farmyard at the back and no sun on the balcony from morning till night. Cleaners were friendly and the rooms cleaned every 2nd day. Don't expect to be able to keep your room on for a late flight home, people were asking 3-4 days before their flight home and were ABRUPTLY told no.

Im going to the krinas aparthotel in may, id really like to know how bad the hill is, like does it take long, also could anyone tell me how big the dog is as Im affraid of dogs :o( also the reading says the beach is gravelly is this true of the whole place. Any help would be appreciated :o)

We went in October this year and found the staff friendly and helpful. It's a steep walk back to the hotel after a good night out!! Other than that we had a great time.

Dave T

Noisy Cocks outside the window woke us up at 5.30am. Did not seem that long after the last of the late night revellers had woken us up. We had good weather and had to chose between windows being open to get some draught and shut to reduce the noise. Thanks for the tip about EDEM restaurant on the back road - really excellant.

As mentioned the long walk up to the Krinas apartments is a pain, especially after a long day at the beach. I would have prefered something closer to the beach. Also in high season (July-Aug) you have to be up very early to get a Sun lounger by the pool which is very annoying.

If you are going to stay at this place then be prepared for a long walk up to the Hotel but otherwise it is OK. When booking your holiday at the Krinas, ask for room 208.That is the room I stayed in and it has a lovely view across the bay.Mainland Greece and the nearby island of Kefallonia can be seen quite clearly from the balcony...you can also throw food scraps to the goat that grazes on the grassland nearby!!

Do the management allow a late checkout? My flight home is 07:00 and I am led to believe that checkout is usually 12:00. In my case, the day before !!

Paul

Good location as you have to walk past most of the nightlife to get there. Staff are really freindly especially the maids who clean your room every day. Food by the poolside bar is very good and quite cheap chips 450drs burger 750drs. Dont leave your socks or goggles lying about or Max the pet dog will nick them!!!!

Paul

Just got back from there and I have to say that I was really impressed. The staff are so freindly and most of the other people staying there were great. Can't wait to go there again.

Janet

Just come back from here apart from a few mishaps it was ok, although to be honest I probably wouldn't stay there again. The cleanliness is great though.

IN A QUIET LOCATION AT TOP OF HILL AT BACK OF TOWN.INSTEAD OF TAKING MAIN ROAD BACK TO TOWN CENTRE,TAKE A LEFT AFTER APARTMENTS.NICE WALK THRU COUNTRYSIDE TO TOWN+EXCELLENT TAVERNA CALLED EDEM. V CHEAP.TRY THEY HOUSE WINE 1000DRS PER LITRE! MOST NOISE AT KRINAS COMES FROM THE CHICKENS (AND ROOSTERS!!!!) IN THE FIELD NEXT DOOR.

Going here in August with girlfriend and her two kids. Any tips?

Janet

I'm staying here in three weeks can anyone give me any comments???

Rimmer

Any late checking out will have to be sorted out in resort with the hotel at that time. If you can't keep your room, you may have to move to another and there may be a charge whatever. Most tour operators will provide a courtesy room for all guests to shower and change in, but it is shared and is not for sleeping / resting etc. One other thing, Krinas is at the top of a mild hill above Argassi, if you have mobility problems, this could be a factor.

Hi, My family (one with mobility problems) and I are staying at Krinas, last week in July and first week in August 2001. I am concerned regarding the checkout time of 12:00 and the flight home at 07:00 the next day ! Is there a late checkout available ? Mark
