Double - (Restaurants in Argassi)

I have visited Argassi over 20 times and I will never eat-out anywhere else except Tiffanys. Peter is quite a character and so is Tommy the main chef. I have never had a bad meal from there yet. Fantastic!!

Villa Denise Apartments - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Simon P

The Villa Denise is an excellent place to stay..although basic in a lot of ways,it has an excellent swimming pool and snack bar.The owner "Maggie" is a lovely lady and will always help you if you have any problems. She suffers with a lot of headaches though and I am always taking her a box of Anadins every time I visit..Tell her that her friend Simon who brings her headache tablets says hello to her then you will be OK!! Seriously though,Villa Denise is situated in a quieter part of Argasi but close enough to enjoy all the amenties that it has to offer. Eat at Tiffanys and buy your groceries from the Dolphin supermarket and I will guarantee a wonderful time for you.

Used to be a good place but is now full of football fans...sorry but if you want to watch football then DAMN WELL STAY AT HOME!!! We go on holiday to get away from bloody britain!

Krinas Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Simon P

If you are going to stay at this place then be prepared for a long walk up to the Hotel but otherwise it is OK. When booking your holiday at the Krinas, ask for room 208.That is the room I stayed in and it has a lovely view across the bay.Mainland Greece and the nearby island of Kefallonia can be seen quite clearly from the balcony...you can also throw food scraps to the goat that grazes on the grassland nearby!!

Oasis Bar (Toucan Bar) - (Bars in Argassi)

Simon P  (05 August 2001)

Sorry but I can not see the attraction in going all the way to Zakynthos (please stop calling it Zante, that is NOT it's real name!) just to sit in some grotty bar that looks like some back street hovel in any british town. If you want a british pub then DAMN WELL STAY AT HOME!!

Argassi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Simon P

Most tourist info will tell you that Argasi beach is over 2km long..what they do not tell you is that it is about 0.5m wide!! It's OK if you have a 22 inch waist and weigh practically nothing, but as I am 14 stone and have a 38 inch waist then there was not enough room for me!

The previous comment says it all about the kind of people that now frequent this once great place...bloody football fans! Curly...kindly go to Blackpool next year! Costas...I do apologise, not all brits have this weird, unhealthy obsession with football!
