Iliessa Hotel(Hotels in Argassi) |

| Excellent hotel but a touch noisy if you're given a room at the front overlooking the street, a bit close to the 'English' bars. Hotel staff excellent, especially Kostas who ensures everyone has a really good time. | ||||||||||

| Myself (Michelle) and Daughter (Grace) stayed here in August 2003. A friendly hotel where you can use the facilities of the Porto Iliessa, where they have a good Kids Club and pool area. The Iliessa hotel has a pool and direct access to a gently sloping, calm, warm sea (no beach to speak of). Kostas the Pool Side Bar man is great fun and really made my daughters holiday with his sense of humour, when she felt ill for a few days he really made an effort to cheer her up by buying her a Bubble Gun and impressing her with his card tricks and connect 4 skill (She wanted to take him home). George the barman at the Porto Iliessa is a friendly handsome Chap (I wanted to take him home...lol). Eleanor the evening barmaid is really nice too, as is the receptionist. We couldn't find fault with this hotel or the resort of Argassi, lively if you want and quiet if you want (Don't expect luxury in Greece though as it just doesn't happen, you get good clean basic accommodation and facilities). Not too many English Bars (We went to one called Oasis and once was enough). Go to the Greek owned bars they are more courteous and professional (Particularly Magic Mushroom and the Meeting Place where you will get prompt, polite, professional service, also visit George upstairs at the Porto Iliessa). Zorba's, and Carissomo are nice places to eat although all of the restaurants do pretty much the same thing. If you do a tour go on "Zakfari". The most impressive thing about the Hotel is Kostas because he laughs and jokes and it's contagious - rubbing off on the guests - and you find yourself making friends and chatting with the other guests. A big Efkaristo to all of the Staff and to Thomas Cook Reps (Ian and Jodie) who were friendly & knowledgeable and worked really hard long hours to make everyone happy, they need to improve or stop the sunkissed cruise though as this was just mind numbingly boring, overcrowded and overpriced, especially the watersports on Vassilikos beach which are privately run, this beach is also far too busy. | ||||||||||

| Hotel was great, we had a room underneath the bar and it was surprisingly quiet. Surprised at cost of fridge which is 20 euros per week. | ||||||||||

| We have booked a fortnight at the Hotel Iliessa Beach 3-17 July 2003. We requested when we booked an upper floor room with a sea view.Whilst the tour operator will endeavour to arrange this there are no guarantees. Question - Can we contact the hotel direct and make the same request? | |

| i went to Hotel Iliessa beach on the 1st may 2003 and got back on the 15th may 2003.we liked it very much.Everyone is so friendly, especially Costas (Bloody Nora) the poolside waiter, Hellena the bar maid and the receptionists. The maids were very good, they always made sure everything was clean and tidy.whenever we went out for a meal we went to belt busters just up the road from the hotel, very good and the restaurant owner is very friendly he's called Mario and his waiter is called Andrew, he's mad and funny.we always booked are trips with perlegos tours with George, very friendly. We have been round the whole of the Island, we hired a moped for the 2 weeks, very cheap.we would defiantely go back again. | ||||||||||

| I stayed here with my partner Brian 24/10/02 - 31/10/02 the very last week of the season. The hotel is fab, the night porter is rude and very unfriendly. He will tell you that the hotel closes at 2am when it is really 24 hours. Very quiet at this time of year and the weather is perfect, it was 80-90 every day and not 1 drop of rain. The best thing about the hotel is Kostas he is one of the most funniest people on the planet and also the campest streight men you will ever met. If you have met him you will know his saying is BLOODY NORA if you want to know the story behind it you can ask me or him as tells the story better as he puts all the hand actions with it. Beware of making too much noice as the hotel manager will march you to his office as some girls did when we were there. If Gemma and Kelly read this hi to you and all the others who were at the hotel the same time as us. Last thing to Kostas we love you and will never forget you xxx | ||||||||||

| We had one of the few appartments near the beach. The appartment was great, quiet, clean and there was good service. We did not like the fact that one of the cleaning ladies barged in every time and the beds were not good (but maybe that was because it was the end of season). Note that is a hotel for families or older (from age 25) people. | ||||||||||
