Mantelena Restaurant

went here twice last week on our holiday very nice had gyro pittas 2 euro to eat in and 1.60 to takeaway very tasty mmmmmmmmmmmm

Only ever had take aways from here but they were fab!!!!

The pitta thingys were scrummy!!! And at only 1 euro 60 who can complain! The other thingys I had were kebabs and was shocked the amount that came with them! Huge portion of chips and salad!!! I cant remember how much this was - but I'd love to be there again to have one!! LOL

Just a shame we never got to go in there for a sit down meal! Maybe next time!!!LOL

15 days before we go to Alykanas, Zante. Really looking forward to visiting Mantelena again.  We went to Zante or the first time last year, but only for a week.  We have booked to go again for two weeks and can't wait to visit this fantastic restuarant again.  Food, value and atmosphere brilliant.  We ate most nights here.  I tried everything and so did my fussy husband and kids.  (kids playground) They have a swish website aswell.  Pictures look really inviting.

Thank you Mantalena for good food good service and friendly greek atmosphere with traditional greek music.Very good value for money and pleasant and helpful staff. We will be seeing you again soon we hope.

Stayed in Alykanas for 2 weeks and ate at the Mantelena for 11 nights.

Maria had her baby earlier this month - another girl, both well.

Had a lovely first meal here, then had a pitta gyros there during the stay.. lovely food and service

Loved it, fantastic food, has been around years - the greeks are always in there so it must be good - its always busy and the mousarka was the best I have ever had in 20 years of goinf to Greece

Oh dear Mantelena what happened.  We arrived in Old Alykanas on the Sunday evening (6th Aug) and took the 25 minute stroll down to Alykanas to eat.  We were eventually seated, they were quite busy but not exceptionally so, our waitress was stressed and running around like something demented.  We ordered, waited patiently (which isnt a problem we are on holiday and in no hurry.....)  My starter arrived and we sat for 10 minutes before reminding our waitress that my husband too would like his starter, she rolled her eyes, tutted and flounced off - with style I might add.  The food was ok, however, we would like to retain our happy memories of this taverna, so will forget we ate there this year...............

Sorry Mantelena, I cannot help feel that the take away service is somewhat detracting from the main taverna.

Still the best but check out Villa Mantalena...the very best accommodation on the island.

This was the first time we ate at the Mantelena and I have to say it was bloody marvellous.

We enjoyed eating here, the staff were welcoming and friendly.

We have been going for nine years, always excellent food and service. Staff are always very friendly. +
