If you are visiting Zante. This restaurant has got to be on your "to do" list. This is a wicked Italian rstaurant. We went to here on many occasions and each time we were very pleased with our food and the hospitatlity given and will always reccomend this fantastic place.

Visited in May and as always had a lovely meal.   I had olive dip and chilli dip for starter.   Husband had pizza and I had a seafood tagliatelle.   A top restaurant and deserves gold star for welcome and good food.  They need no advertising.

Stayed in Argassi last month, but a trip to Buon Amici was a MUST!! As always the food, atmosphere, and staff were second to none, thanks Nick and Liza, see you later this month, the 15th June to be exact

the best italian i have been two before. the food is of the highest quality and served in such a lovely way.the staff are very very helpful and attentive. the restraunt itself is very nice and clean. would recommend to anybody.

Lost count of the number of times we ate at Buon Amici during our two weeks in Kalamaki

Absolutely fantastic each and every time!!! The pizzas are the very best EVER, the pasta dishes are wonderful, and I tried veal in Roquefort, fantabulous!!!!! I also had the asparagus starter a couple of times, OMG, soooooooooooo delicious. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and the service is first class. Thank you Nicos, Liza, your gorgeous daughters, and all your great staff, we will see you again next June for more scrummy food

Once again enjoyed many meals here during our stay.  We first visited on opening week, many years ago now, and its a firm favourite with us.  A great menu from pizzas  to pastas to some of the best veal and lamb we have ever tasted.  Great house wine too and staff that are always smiling and welcoming.  Thanks everyone

Visited Buon Amici twice during our visit (18/9/8 -25/9/8) and was my wife's favourite restaurant in Kalamaki. Ralph the greeter was very informative and helpful and the authentic Italian food was always top notch! Would highly recommend that you visit here during your stay - the menu has something for young & old alike.

We ate here a few times during our holiday.  The food is always superb and service from Nickos always professional.  

Perhaps a dress code would be appropriate, not sure bare feet and a bikini top is the most suitable attire for dinner at 8pm!!

Went to Kalamaki for 2 weeks. Went here 2 times, and was amazing both times. One of our favourite restaurants on the Island.

 went to kalamaki for 2 weeks and we ate at buon amici 4 times, the food and wine is so nice there we had pollo rosso and the mushrooms with cheese are really nice. staff were really friendly and welcoming, will definately be going back to eat there when we go back to kalamaki!!!

Fab, as usual. The pizzas are gorgeous and the pasta dishes fantastic, again made even better with a nice chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio. Ate here three times this holiday, and every time the quality, service and price was great. We will be back in September for more wonderful food and excellent hospitality

hi all at buon amici ( including the famous ralph at front of house). we have been there 4 times so far on this holiday and everytime the meals have been superb. we will be there again  this saturday for our  last time on this vacation. but we hope to come back to kalamaki again in the near future. keep up the good work and excellent food.

Our meal was tasty, but the service was slow considering only three tables were occupied. We ordered Tiramisu for dessert but they had run out. The season had only just started and they cannot supply a traditional Italian dessert. The same thing happened TWICE in September 2006. Has anybody had Tiramisu in this place.

When we arrived for our week in Zante last October, we had intended to try a different restaurant each night.  With so many lovely places to choose from, we were spoilt for choice.  However, once we had visited your restaurant, we ended up returning twice more (including our last night in Zante). 

What a lovely surprise it was to receive a Christmas card from you, we had forgotten about signing your visitors' book.  We hope you had a restful Christmas after all your hard work.

To anyone looking for an excellent restaurant, with delicious meals and a warm welcome, Buon Amici is well worth a visit.

Had a fabulous meal here - mussels are to die for.  Staff talked us through the specials board and ended up with steak in a balsamic sauce - beautiful.  Those who had pasta & pizza also enjoyed theirs

What a fantastic restaraunt, please don't be put off by the guy who tries to persuade you to go in (as we nearly were!)

Wow!!! What a great restaurant and what more could you have asked for, other then a beautiful island and delicious food to accompany it! My wife and i ate here basically every night of our holiday and would go back to Zante just for this gem of a restaurant! The pastas are superb, pizzas better then in Italy and the list goes on, the menu has a wide variety which makes it hard to choose which item you want, as everything sounds so mouth-watering! The ambience was also good and the staff are friendly (Natasha you were such a star and added to the experience - thanks a mill!)

  A lovely restaurant.  The chap outside was very friendly - we were in kalamaki for 2 weeks, and every night he spoke to us!  Our food was divine - I had pasta with asparagus, bacon and peas in a creamy sauce, my husband had haiwain pizza.  The staff are very friendly, and people were being turned away as it got full.  Go and enjoy it!!!

Just returned after a wonderful holiday.  Ate in here several times and the food and service is always superb.  They were full every night and having to turn people away.

Brilliant food.   My husband said his pizza was one of the best he's ever tasted (including those in Italy).

You must try the mussels for starters - absolutely brilliant.

Boun Amici serves the best food my boyfriend and I have ever tasted. Everything was so fresh, we spent most of our holiday dining here & are so glad we did! The staff & service were brilliant I think they should consider opening a restaurant in Glasgow

Went here a few times on our visit this year to Zante and loved it.  We even had help carrying the pushchair up the stairs.  Gorgeous food, and definitely worth a visit.

Once again a gorgeous meal. These pizzas really are the best I have eaten for a very long time, perfect with that bottle of chilled Pinot Grigio. See you again in September.

Was the best meal I had in Kalamaki.   Staff are great and the price is reasonable.  Shame I only visited only once.

Our 7th year here and another fantastic welcome from these great people. The food is out of this world, the service great and the atmosphere just what you need on your holidays. You will be hard stretched to find anywhere on the island where the food is cooked fresh everytime and all the produce is locally grown, you really can taste the difference. Thanks to Ladi, Nicos, Liza, Tasha, Christina and the girls in the kitchen. Counting down the weeks until we return to see you all again.

Hi, We returned from our second trip to Kalamaki, Zante on the 21st May.  This trip we only went for 7 days but we still managed to visit this resturant 2 times and managed 3 trips to this resturant last year.  It's fab.  The food is the best Italian we have ever eaten, anywhere.  We have never had a bad meal here.  The staff are lovely and friendly, the service is quick, the prices fair and the view down onto the main road is great.  We have visted each time with our 3 year old.  The staff were very good with him and helped us both up and down the stairs with his buggy, quite often with him still in it!  They have a great kids menu and each time our son wolfed down the food.  I would advise everyone to eat here at least once.

Just back from Kalamaki on 10th May 2007 and visited Buon Amici twice whilst we were there, lovely sitting up there on the front overlooking Kalamaki. Food absolutely delicious, we had carbonara, spagetti bolognese and garlic bread also tiramasu and wine, all at unbelievbly low prices, the best Italian restuarant I have been to and lovely people who work there, would definetly go again.

It is such an amazing Italian restaurant (on a balcony) the food is the best i've ever tasted (and im not just saying that) even compared to Italian restaurants in England.   Was visiting Zante for a week and went to Buon Amici twice. Best italian i've ever had in my life. Pastas were delicious, my kids ordered pizzas and enjoyed every last bite. Anyone visiting Zante must eat at Buon Amici. Staff were very friendly, nice clean restaurant and value for money.

 IM JUST BACK FROM ZANTE 2 DAYS AGO. I STAYED THERE FOR ONE WEEK AND TRIED LOADS OF DIFFERENT  RESTAURANTS AND BUON AMICI WAS MOST DEFINETLY THE BEST I HAD. I WENT THERE TWICE AS IT WAS SO GOOD. IT IS VERY IMMACULATE AND THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND NOT AS EXPENSIVE AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I WOUL D DEFINETLY RECCOMEND THIS PLACE AS IT WILL BE WORTH IT. niki x

Cooked chicken toscana last night and those lovely potatoes and it was excellent.  Not as good as Ladi's but near enough   Phil loved the lamb chops but I don't like lamb so he'll have to wait until June for those  Hope the remaining days of the season go well for you all.

Don't know what went wrong on the previous comment but must add the amendment that everything about Buon Amici  was EXCELLENT not average.

 Greetings from Cornwall to Nikos, Lisa, Dennis, Natasha and Ladi.  Enjoyed our return visits to you in September.  As always food was great, surprised no one else mentioned the calamari sicilliana and lamb chops, two of the "naughty boy's" favourites.Sitting here drinking your red wine, thank you very much.  I am attempting Ladi's Risotto Scampi for visitors next wekend.  Hope to be back to see you next year.  Meanwhile our best wishes for the olive harvest and hope you have a good break. 

We tried this on the last night of our holiday and wished we had done so earlier. It is up a big flight of steps so a bit of a pain with a pushchair, but well worth it for the food and the view. Prices were a little higher than in some places but the quality of the food was well worth the small difference.

Always one of our favourites and again it was excellent on all our visits over the two weeks.  The veal, chicken cacciatore, lasagne, chicken toscana were all huge favourites.  The welcome and hospitality is always great even on a busy night.  Thanks everyone.

 had salmon with prawn starter, big enough to be a main course, then had con pollo, absolutely brilliant!, they were very busy but didnt have to wait too long, loved it

we've been coming back to this resturant now year on year and it just gets better the service is second to none and all the food is cooked to the highest quality .

we send our thanks to nick and lisa for all there hard work and effort they put into this resturant and the way the deal with the customers and children.We will be coming back next year to see you in august again and look forward to eating those quality italian dishes.

Unfortunately, I was dissappointed in this restaurant. The reviews had built it up to be something special but the service and the food we received were merely average. I would have expected a little more effort from the staff and the layout of the restaurant was poor. The food was average italian fair and the only really plus point was that it was a nice change from the greek food for a night.

our first time in kalamaki so relied on comments here to pick restaurants, we were a mixed age party of 6 and everyone enjoyed there meals here so much we ate here four times in a fortnight, 3 types of pasta available in almost evey sauce you can think of, i can personally recommend  the penne al tonno, lovely creamy light sauce with tuna, my friends daughter became addicted to the pomodoro pasta, and had it every time followed by banofee pie, her sister said the lasagne was the best anywhere, and her boyfriend said the same about his pizza, lovely wafer thin crust, topped just right.  the service was good each time even  on one evening when they had a party of 25 in and they were run off their feet, how the chef managed i don't know, yes we had to wait a while longer but they did apologise and we weren't bothered anyway!  Top marks buon amici, if you like italian food don't miss this.

  We discovered Buon amici on the second week of our holiday and wished we had discovered it earlier. The food is great and the staff are lovely. It is situated past the Mermaid restaurant and is located on the second floor above a car hire firm. We visited every night and were never disappointed. It is by far the best restaurant in Kalamaki. The pasta was to die for and the meat dishes especially the veal lemone were delicious too. We drank their stock of Merlot and they stocked up the next day for us. thanks to nocos and all the crew especially the chef!!
