Hi,
Just got back from the family inn, well what can i say ,the actual family inn website is misleading showing nice photos,so it came as a shock when we got there, yeah the pool and the actual hotel is really nice the self catering apartments however if i said they were basic that would be too much of a compliment! It was like living in a small oven for 2 weeks no air con no tv,however they were very clean and sheets were changed on a regular basis, having read previous comments the pool i found was very clean and was cleaned regularly! Spiros who runs the hotel bar nice guy looks like Cesc Fabregas so my son say's plays for some southern team i think,as a resort though Argassi is really nice and great for familie's.Check out the Ethnic steak house and grill, fantastic place to eat the food is just stunning 10 out of 10! If the accomodation had been better the holiday overall would have been fantastic,if i go back again it wont be to the family inn.

We went to Argassi in May 08, and we always spend our days by the pool at the Family Inn. Unfortunately Mike, Theresa and Karen are no longer working the pool bar.. They are still in Argassi as we caught up with them later but the food was not as varied or as tasty as Mikes. So if you ae going on holiday there be prepared not to have the good quality food and the laughs and jokes as it used to be for the last 4. 4 yearsThe pool is not as clean either

We had a fantastic time at the Family Inn hotel this year. Georgia the owner is a really lovely woman with a heart of gold. She and her husband Panayotis went out of their way as always to make our stay really comfortable. Costas was a great laugh in the bar despite the lack of sleep following his new arrival. (Photo of baby was great - hope the football strip fits.)

Mike and Teresa were very kind as usual and food was great. Great to see all the regulars coming back to the hotel. again year after year. Just goes to show what a warm welcome you get by this lovely family.

Dino thanks for showing us the new properties, hope your back is better. Thanks for the kindness shown to our son.

click to enlargeclick to enlarge10 for location, 5 for facilities, 0 for atmosphere.  Rude, unfriendly and very very basic (even for Greece).  Hotel run by a Greek woman who can barely look at you without sneering and  communicates with grunts and gestures.  Pool bar run by typical ex pats with more rules and regulations than I can list.  Room for self catering consists of fridge (which is now free of charge), travel kettle and an electric ring.  No toaster or micro.  Hand held shower hose with tray in bathroom.  No aircon which didnt worry us in September.  Self catering block not accessible for disabled.  Past pool bar, round corner up 6 iron steps, along back of one block, down a step to another path...  On the up side it is cleaned each day.  The location couldnt be better, just off the end of the "strip" and down a little side road so fairly quiet.  Very short 5 min stroll to Argassis tiny beach with a lovely beach bar at the hotel there run by a little girl who takes pride in her clean kitchen and her cooking.  People in restaurants work very very hard and are so nice to talk to.  Flocas is brilliant for car rental with full indemnity and very good prices.  They will also find you a room no matter what time of year if you need it.  Nice family.  If you do go to Family Inn, take a tea towel, your pillow, couple of old tea mugs and dont forget to feed the cats!  Unusual that the Tom has stayed with mum and the babies.  Mum likes sardines and a scratch on the head. xx

What a lovely place argassi is but I am afraid that Mr Marsh's comment are correct about the people who run the pool bar at the Family Inn, we witnessed the lady who ran the pool bar checking the bins around the pool area to see if people were bringing their own food into the  pool area!!!!! And confronting a gentleman about eating grapes by the pool!!! (which consequently they do not sell at the pool bar). We visited here once as we were staying at the Katerina Palace which was a lovely hotel.

Arrived back last week after another wonderful time at the Family Inn.  Great place to relax and chill out.  Micheal, Theresa and Tassia, with help from Jed this year  do a great job of  running the pool bar and pool area.  Really good food,  wide selection available and a special board.  Micheals cakes are a must.

Peter and Georgia gave us the usual warm welcome and Costas is tops at  mixing the Cocktails.

Really good group at the hotel this year and the bar was busy every night.

Looking forward to next year.

I wish we had of stayed at the hotel cause everyone i spoke to said it was really nice.
The next time i come to argassi i will definatley be staying there.

We have just got back from the Family Inn  in Argassi. The family inn pool bar is second to none, Mike and Theresa always look after their guests by making you smile and having a laugh. The pool is lush, the pool bar food is absolutely great and very varied!!!!! (Especially chicken a la creme !!!!!)Nothing is too much trouble for them. In the evening we went to the hotel bar Dino's, and we had a geat laugh with Costas. Watching football or wildlife documentarys and we even watched Greek football and basketball. All the cocktails and drinks were very high quality .  See you in May 2008 it will be our 15th year of holidaying in Argassi.

Love to all

A nice quiet location away from the main strip of bars and restaurants, but can feel a little isolated especially in the evenings, as the pool bar closes around 6.00pm.and the Hotel main bar is a bit stuffy and formal.
It has a pleasent swimming pool area with plenty of sunbeds, complete with kiddies pool and jacuzzi. During the day the pool bar offers a good range of food and drinks all at reasonable prices and is run by an English couple.
One word of warning, you cannot eat your own food and drink whilst at the pool area.
A shame as  unnessary arrassment of guests was off putting and very petty.
Also the other blot on the landscape was the lack of air conditioning within the apparttments which became stifling especially at night.
Other than that if you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle then this place may suit you.
I for one will visit Argassi again but not based here.
