Al Sandros Bar

I'm an american that to be honest with you, have no idea of my origin. I found this name Sandros come up in talk between my father & I, and i was wondering if this was a popular name in your country or if this name lands also outside of your island. From what little i know, Sandros may be a Spanish name or derived from Greece. Anyone have any interesting info that might solidify my standing on where my ancestry leads. If i ever make it to Greece, this Diner is definitely on my list to check out. I better get a discount using my name! :P

Can you please ask Lee if he can go and see Eva who lives at Stani's as she has been looking for him on my behalf, but she doesn't know who he is. I lost all my numbers out of my mobile (including lees) and had to get a new mobile, Eva has my new number and can pass it on to Lee.
Just tell him it's Karen and Paul.
He will know who it is have been friends with him for 20 years now.

 Does anyone know if Lee (the Sheffield host) and his partner John Mckenna have now sold Al-Sandros? I worked there and lived with Lee through 1998 and1999 and haven't returned since we split but was thinking of going back to the island this coming Summer and thought I'd pop in to say hello. I suspect John McK may have retired (and I saw that the bar was once up for sale) but any news on where/what Lee is doing these days if he's not still behind the bar at Al-Sandros?.....  Lee/John... if you you're out there, say hello! xx

I was there in June and the bar is run by two greek guys, Tony & Jimmy, I had a great time, there was a barman called Paul who was working there when we were there but he doesn't work there anymore.

just got back from 2 weeks in zante great bar in most nights mon &thursday quiz nites ,tues st pats night double jamesons & baileys 3euros guiness 3 euros a pint ,  lee & guys behind bar great bunch  great music thank god he didnt sell the bar

I'm sorry to say the legend that is "she Leigh and he Lee" has come to an end! Hard as it was to cut the tie, I'll not be behind the Al Sandros bar anymore.  Well apart from when I'm over to visit and Lee asks for help, as he has already said he will!  I speak to him regularily, just today in fact, and have no doubt he will have a "to do"list ready for me when I go back!  Already missing him and the lovely people we meet every year.
