This is an amazing place to eat!  My boyfriend and I ate here on our first night and then ate there 3 subsequent times.  The owner, Harry, was so friendly and the waiter is original from Stockport-about 10 mins from where we live!  The decor is brilliant and very reasonable, if we went back to Kalamaki, Temple would be our number one food stop   Laura and Matt, August 2008 xx

This is a fantastic place to eat!  My girlfirend and I had a week in Zante Sept 2008 and didn't find this place until nearly the end - but what a wonderful meal (cooked by Harry's greek wife, who we met briefly at the end of the night - hat's off to her and no mistake! Single handely she caters for all their guests and to a standard that puts many fine restaurants to shame!) .  The waiter John and guv'nor Harry, make a good double act - and yes, we could see the Fawlty Towers resemblance! However, the food, wine and hospitality were second to none! Mel had a sore throat that evening and was plied with "soothing ouzo" by Harry!  Thanks for the evening's entertainment and good luck with your plans for next year. Best wishes John and Mel Northampton.

The Temple is one of the best restaurants of Zante!! Harry and his Wife (the Chef!) and John are very friendly. When we went to the Temple it was a very busy evening. We ordered Chicken with garlic sauce and Pork ribs with BBQ sauce. We sat at table 5. The chef cooked the food for the hole restaurant by herself, our compliments it was delicious!!

Harry and John were running as fast they could and at the same time the were entertaining the costumers. We chat and laugh with all three when it was quiet down. It was an amusing evening!!!

We wish Harry and his Wife and John all luck of the world!!!!!!!

Just wanted to leave a quick comment about the Temple restaurant. Ate their twice in our one week stay and everything was superb. Food was delicious and cooked from fresh which may take abit longer but is well worth the wait especially if you appreciate freshly homemade meals. All the staff are very welcoming and you have a great laugh with them - Harry the owner is more than welcoming and spends time with you explaining what the Greek dishes are and how they are prepared - this meant we were alot more adventurous!!

Best wishes to Harry and his wife (who deserves alot of credit). Hope your plans for doing evening entertainment etc work out as you want.

A very different story for us.   Prawn cocktails were warm, we were told they are meant to be!  Then waited over an hour for the main courses, kept being told 2 minutes, in the end 6 mains turned up for seven of us, by then 11pm and too late for the children to want it.   The owner wouldn't go in the kitchen and ask for the other one, said he was getting things thrown at him!  Fawlty Towers Kalamaki style.  Fair enough he halved the bill and promised me if we came back another day he would promise a better evening, needless to say we didnt bother when there are so many great places to eat.  The people at the next table got their desserts before mains, and the main course (fish) was not cooked through.  The young english waiter was the one i felt sorry for, taking the flak from the customers when not his fault.

Wow this restaurant is the best we went to during our stay. The food is all cooked by Harry's Greek wife and all cooked from fresh. We didnt find this place until the end of our holiday. I would recommend the following- Potato Souffle, Mousska & the Peppered Steak.

This restaurant is fantastic and the prices are reasonable.

We always liked the look of this place, we did walk past it every night on our way to cavo d'oro and decided to go in it was really hot the night we went so wernt really in the mood for a big meal but it was delicious..and the meals were huge.

I didnt fancy what was on the menu..so i asked for a plain chicken with veg and chips and the waiter (english man) was determined to make my meal more interesting haha..he asked if i was sure i wanted it plain but offered things i could have with it..so i had pineapple..he was really helpful and friendly.

My boyfriend had a mixed grill and it was absoloutly massive !!
He had sausage, beef, lamb, everything and it was a big portion.. but lovely.

The staff were very friendly and the guy who was on the door, think he was a scouser who looked like mikey from big brother haha he was friendly too (and yes the toilets were abit wierd lol) he always said hello when we walked past, they never try to get you inside which in my opinion is better service.

It was quite empty when we went but that doesnt mean it isnt an excellent place to eat because it was delicious..were back in Sept so will definatly be visiting again !!
