St Nicholas Beach

Beaches in Zante

Went there mostly for the diving which I thought was good value for both the try dive and the redive. the beach was a little crowded if you stayed near the beach bar but walk for two minutes up the beach and you have more room. went on the ringos for the 1st time and apart from the ever helpful greek wanting to do up the life jacket around my bust it was the most fun I had had in a long time. My sister will second this as she later told me she was cleaned inside and out by the water gushing in! The bar was alittle noisy but a fun place and good value for snacks and drinks. Will go again.

We went 12th June, on the supposedly free bus service from the Wreck pub in argassi. Granted it didn't cost us much but it is not free as advertised. When we got there we were told we would have to use their sun beds which cost 2000 dracs then we would be able to get on the bus home, so it is not FREE. The beach is nice though, but it is a long day if you have small children. It is a good idea to take food and drink with you if you've got a family, as the Wreck bar there is quite expensive and there isn't anywhere else on the beach to buy anything.

I also found St Nicholas Beach to be my Favourite. Free Transport, but the bus leaves Laganas at 10am and it sets off back at 5pm, so you are dictated travel times but it is 12quid in a Taxi each way. I went Scuba Diving it cost me 34quid which was 20 mins lecture and 20 mins dive including all equipment. You pay a further 6 quid for a photo and other payable options of a video for 20 quid another dive for 20 quid and a Tee Shirt for 8 quid. Jet Ski-ing is Ok. Still as expensive, it is 20 quid for 15 mins, or 30 quid if you have 2 on one Jet Ski. The Beach is the best at Zante.

WE MUST HAVE CHOSEN A BAD DAY AS THE WIND WAS BLOWING. WE SPENT ABOUT 20 MINS ON IT AND CAME AWAY FEELING LIKE WE HAD BEEN SANDBLASTED. IT IS NO GOOD IF IT IS WINDY AS THERE IS NO PROTECTION.THE PLACE IS THE PLACE WHERE THE ISLANDS - BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE FREQUENT- AND THE FOODS ALTHOUGH DECENT IS A BIT ON THE PRICEY SIDE. HAVING SAID THAT THE VIEW HAS TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED - IF ONLY ON THE WAY THERE. STEVE F

the sand was full of crushed dead old animals and the sea was full of sodium and chlorine and most of the air (79%) does not support life but we still had a fortnite there. fish swim very safely here. posing is best done in front of the lens.. there are many lenses there. i'm not a kid so i cant comment.

OW! OW! OW! Burny sand on feet! Seriously, though, this was a great beach, really nice. We paid 1000 drx each for a sunbed from the (excellent) beach club which does really good food and has funky hand-made wooden seats. Water is lovely and stays shallow for a long way out Loads of watersports, but a bit pricey (eg paragliding £35)

Leah - St. Niks beach is about 45 minutes drive away from Laganas, down the Vasilikos' peninsula in the south-east. There is a free bus every day that leaves Laganas at 10.00 am and returns in the late afternoon. It is worth the trip, but can get very busy. It does, however, have the best selection of watersports on the island.

We enjoyed this beach as it had the added extra of watersports, which were well organised and reasonably priced. The beach restaurant served good snacks and was just what a family would require on a day to the beach. There is also a bus service that runs from Laganas to this beach once in the morning and returning late afternoon.

I'm wondering where abouts is this this beach situated? We are going to Laganas, how far is it from here?? Thanx for the help!

This beach is one for those who love the sun and water sports. It is always ten degrees hotter here and the sand burns your feet. it is worth the bus ride which is free if you love banana boats, jet skis, scuba diving and parascending

Superb beach. Easily the best on the Island. Long secluded golden sand but busy enough to be interesting. Have to drive to get to it unless staying in nearby resort, but not much accommadation.
