I came here when i was 4 in 1995, we are now visiting Kalamaki again this year however could not find Vanessa Studios in any travel brochures and are now going to Hotel Marelen. From what I remember of Vanessa Studios (this was its name in 1995) it was lovely, we have many pictures of me and my family with the staff at the hotel . The apartments were lovely too, we had a two bedroomed apartment, she pool was lovely . I remember that there was a jewelry shop being built when we were there, and there was a lovely restaurant over the road. it had a water fountain which i remember because we have many puictures of us in this restaurant.

Hotel Vanessa isnt in brochures but it is a lovely place and should be in brochures so it is there for everybody to enjoy!! Byeeeee

Hiyaa... i would like to know if anybody is going in August ??  Is there many teenagers with families in Summer?? Will a teenager be bored in this complex? Hopefully not.. i am definately going on the boat trip around the island and to the shipwreck, i went on it 10 years ago but i was only 4 and cannot remember much!! although i remember the beautiful scenery !!!!!!!  Byeeee

I am 14 and my family and I came to Kalamaki 10 years ago, we stayed in Vanessa Studios. Today i have been looking at photographs of our holiday in Kalamaki because we are returning in August this year, but going to a different Hotel. I have a photo of my brother, my cousins and I outside of Tesoro with two men.

Is the sign outside still a yellow rectangle with the word TESORO diagonally and RESTAURANT in smaller letters underneath ?? haha please message me back somebody I would love to know if they are still there!! However I will be finding out for myself in 3 weeks  Thanx

Well .... I have literally just got back about an hour ago and i thought id come and comment all of the restaurants we ate in over our 2 weeks in Kalamaki!

The man outside is lovely ... he always gave my little sister a flower as we walked past !! The meal was also nice.. I had a margarita pizza and it was lovely

My mum had the Swordfish, which was lovely!!

 Ooohhhh we were asked if we wanted normal or garlic bread; but when our meal came we didnt get any bread!! And in the Bill it said the bread.. but that wasnt a problem .. because we didnt get it we didnt have to pay!! Very nice restaurant!! I miss Kalamaki already

oh how i love this place!! i have just got back about an hour ago and want to go back !! i loved the pool ... too deep for my mum like !! haha! the evening entertainment was good.. i wasnt bothered about that though !! i just liked drinkin my heineken from nick!! he was takin the mick on my last night cos i said heineken in a scouse accent!! i'm not even a scouser!! im from hartlepool!!! bet ya dont kno where that is!! its cos i was with scousers for a few days!! haha!!  the coolest scousers like!! paula gemma, abby and lil steven!!

anyway poor costas ..he never seems to sleep !! i always saw him early on a morning watering the gardens and late at night serving me   in the bar!! 
my mum and dad arent really the people to go back to the same place too soon, but i really hope i can change their minds cos this was such a good holiday!! we got stickers saying "i <3 hotel marelen" i wore it on my top all the way home and still have it on now!!



i wonder if the people at the hotel look on ere ?? i hope yas do cos i want yas to kno how good the hotel is. best holiday ever!!

i will definately be seein everyone soon .. whether its with my mum and dad or on my bloody own if they decide to go to kefalonia!! zakynthos is so much better!! just the name makes ya think that its a better place!!  never been to kefalonia loike but i kno it cant be as good as kalamaki zakynthos!!

Glad we ate at this restaurant because the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly.. lovely with my 4 year old sister! !!

'The Singing Man' as my sister called the man outside!! He was always lovely and sang to us as we walked past!! We ate there one night and the meal was nice and the staff were friendly!!

Has gotta be the nicest restaurant in Kalamaki!

There is cute waiters there too !!    The one that looks about 15 is soo cute !

We ate here twice! On our last night we ate here with friends and it was lovely! The meal was delicious and it was soo reasonable! I liked the shot too .. It's poison we were told ! Nice waiters and stuff  !!

Well i reckon the Merlis has changed since you have been there !! I was in Kalamaki ten years ago when there was only Tesoro and Merlis really! Hardly anything else there ! They were both lovely! I have just got back and we went to Merlis! It was lovely! The food was nice and as my brother said " i dont remember the waitresses being this Fit" So i guess he liked it !

Oh Poo!! i have just ritten tonnes and then pressed sumthin and now it has all deleted!

So ... disappointed with this restaurant!! My pizza came and it was all burnt !! I didnt want to give it back though because i dont like fuss !! Even though it tasted like Charcoal! The restaurant looks lovely from the outside but the food is the important thing and that lets it all down!!

Nice restaurant!! Nice food!! My mum and dad felt guilty afterwards because we had came to Greece and had a Sunday Roast!! It was nice though  !

Lovely restaurant! Just how we remembered it !!
