The Playpen

Restaurants in Tsilivi

We ate here 8 times out of the 14 nights we stayed in Tsilivi, we did try other places but no where else came a close second. The food was well prepared, tasty and well served. How anyone could give it 4/10 I do not know. If you want to eat rubish eat somewhere else, if you want quality, it has to be paid for. Eat here!!!! Every one there was really friendly and welcoming. well done to all at the Playpen, Thanks for making our holiday special. Lobster thermadore a must for anyone who is "Properly Hungry"

the food in this place is gorgeous. the service is brilliant, the chef told me that he would make whatever i wanted even if it isnt on the menu. its very good quality. check it out .

Can't believe it's only got 4 out of 10! Should be 10 out of 10! By far the best restaurant in Zante!!!! The food is 1st class, excellent quality, and generous portions. The service is second to none, could not fault it. People have said it is expensive?? a classy three course meal cost my girlfriend and I 41 Euros (about £12 each). I ate there 4 times in all. Highly reccomend it.

BIG PRICE, SMALL PORTION, QUESTIONABLE QUALITY!! Not our best meal in Tsilivi, looked good but no menu outside the restaurant, now we know why. Staff not overly interested and the pasta was no where near as good as Contessina just a few doors down from here. If you like pasta but no sauce for a high price give it a go but otherwise try elsewhere!

excellent italian meal in this rest. slightly dearer than others in the village but well worth the money.

Emma N  (24 June 2002)

The PlayPen has to be one of the nicest restaurants in the village. The service is superb, the meals piping hot and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is that little bit more expensive than some of the restaurants, but the food is more than worth it. The Maccaroni with Tomato and Bechamel cheese is gorgeous. Visited this restaurant three times during our stay and we were never disappointed. Tony, the Greek God is also very pleasing to the eye....he's almost as delicious as the food!

Well we tried to many resturants before we came to the Playpen Best Italian food cooked by the best Italian Chef. Even the Greek and European food was beyond any rating system. The service was great and one of the best things here is that they don't try and push in loads of tables (small ones at that) so you have loads of space and they don't rush you ouy. As they stat on the menu its not cheap but as we found through Tsilvi you get what you pay for.

Brenda D  (30 July 2001)

Super meal (twice!). Not the cheapest, but excellent quality and service are worth paying that bit extra for.

Shaun P  (10 July 2001)

Even on the menu outside the Playpen, it states that it does not aim to be the cheapest in Tsilivi, so if you are tight, then you will be dissapointed, but I would still class it as cheap for the Quality of the food that we received and the amount. I don't understand how anyone could spend over £60 on meals for four in Tsilivi, even with drink. The pizzas here have to be tried as the toppings were delicious. Shaun and Helen.

over the last week that we have been here our normal dinner bill would come to around 30 pounds for a three course meal for four of us,the food was sloppy and the gravy was disgusting but the bill still totted up too around 67 pounds what a rip off!! from the 4 londoners!!!!!!!!!

Bob F  (17 June 2001)

Dave & Ann (the 'pork' couple from Telford, UK). This is the best restaurant in Zante...forget that...the best restaurant in Greece.
