Im not sure if anyone stays updated on this but ive just been reminising about being at the blue bay and helping with the horses across the road with christos and the people who owned the shop, my names zach, my mums name is sandra, and my dads name is phil, we visited the blue bay a couple of times, it was really nice, and we had a laugh both times we went! I became very close with the people across the road, im not sure if anyone has any contact details for spiros, angie, or paddy! Would like to get in touch with them to see how they are! Also want to see if i can find out how christos and everyone is getting on or if they are still there!

Myself and my now wife stayed at the Blue Bay for the third time from 16/9/07 - 30/9/07, not only that my now father in law, mother in law, step daughter and her friend also, and we have not a bad word to say about this Hotel, Spiro's is and always will be in our eye's one of the family, he and his staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could possibly be, not only our's but also my families who were also staying in the resort of Alakynas.

Yes Paddy was working on the main land this year and Ange has moved on, but I for one don't think the Hotel has suffered at all for this, as for Kosmar dropping the Blue Bay, try the other way around ...

One thing I will say, myself and my wife will certainly be back next year for our fourth time at the Blue Bay and also for many years to come.

Spiros/Paddy, thank you so, so much for making our wedding and our stay at your beautiful hotel so special, and also mine and Kate's family would also love to say thank you so much for a perfect time.

See you next year.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY AT BLUE BAY

I and my two friends have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Blue Bay Apartments.
Spyros and his mother Denise did everything to make our holiday a memorable one. We were looked after superbly, the apartment was spotless and the view from our balcony on the first floor was out of this world ,overlooking the bay. We were the only British holidaymakers there through Kosmar pulling out and not refunding people their deposits. The upside was that we had the full use of the pool and jacuzzi and loungers, and enjoyed beautifully cooked lunches at the poolside bar.
I would unreservedly recommend these apartments to anyone wishing to have a relaxing beachside  holiday , in wonderful surroundings
Thank-you Spyros for making our holiday one to remember,
Paulina ,  DD and BB.

DO NOT BOOK TO GO TO THESE APARTMENTS

I returned from Zante yesterday having booked to stay in the two bedroom apartment at BlueBay (as we have 3 young boys). These apartments are not open! Although we were shown to our rooms by Vassilios, the chap looking after the apartments for Tourikis, the apartments were two seperate rooms with 4 beds (we had purposefully booked the 2 bed apartment), there was no swimming pool, no hot water, no water for the first 2 days, no snack bar, no reception, no staff... Just badly neglected apartment rooms. We were the only guests. It transpired that Vassilios and his family were actually staying in the 2 bed apartment that we had booked! After sticking it for 3 days and trying to explain the prioblems to this man (who didnt speak much English) we were presented with Ange who previously worked at BlueBay. The following day we received a very aggressive visit from Vassilios who demanded that we pay the full amound immediately. When we said we were not prepared to do this (we had already paid 169 Euros as a deposit) we had an extremely threatening and disturbing conversation with Tourikis and were told to leave BlueBay straight away. This was obviously distressing for our three children but given the circumstances we felt it safer to leave!!!!!!!

KOSMAR DROPPED THESE APARTMENTS FOR A REASON! HAVING BEEN THERE, I THINK I KNOW WHY. DONT BOOK IT.

hello to all our customers of the blue bay hotel alikanas, just to let you all know that you can now book your holiday direct with the hotel for any information please email blue_bay_hotel @mail.gr or telephone 00302695085120 thankyou paddy

Simon R  (28 October 2006)

E-mail address is blue_bay_hotel@mail.gr  (underscores between blue bay hotel)

Unfortunately going independently with flights, taxis etc two weeks next July is working out at about £450 - 500 more than I was paying through Kosmar.

I was offered a refund immediately (booked via Thomas Cook) - whether this was because I had booked the two bedroom apartment and Kosmar can only offer me two separate rooms at the Beach Studios but now it is too late to try and find another accomodation on the beach for two adults and three children.

It would be nice to why Kosmar or Blue Bay terminated but no one will tell why or who.

Kevin C  (28 October 2006)

Claire we are now in the same situation as you that Kosmar have cancelled our booking and their alternative is unacceptable and say they will not refund our booking deposit we are going to contact ABTA Monday 30/10/06 any help on the process you used to get the refund will be appreciated.

If you need to book direct give them a ring on the number below.

Claire C  (21 October 2006)

We too are so disappointed to of had our holiday to blue bay cancelled.  The staff at Kosmar gave us an unacceptable alternative, which we have turned down, after speaking to ABTA, Kosmar finally agreed to refund in full. Will never book with Kosmar again. If anyone gets info on how to book blue bay direct please forward info XX

Simon R  (20 October 2006)

Paddy

I thought your message was good news and Kosmar would honour my original booking to stay at your hotel - but have today received a fax dated 19/10/2006 from Kosmar that they are no longer featuring the Blue Bay for 2007 and my travel agent has spoken to Kosmar and they have confirmed that they will not be renewing contracts with the Blue Bay for next year.

I look forward to your reply.

Blue B  (19 October 2006)

Hello to everybody  you don't have to worry about blue bay hotel in ZANTE because i will sign the contract with Kosmar in a few days and when i will be ready i'm gonna let you know with note in this site. Will be in touch.

Lindsey O  (18 October 2006)

I too have just recieved a letter from kosmar stating that i cannot stay at the blue bay apartments and have give me an alternative. They have told me i cannot have a full refund as i am not happy with the alternatve, and i would like to find out how i could book blue bay elsewhere. So any info would be grateful.THANKS!!!!!

Simon R (15 October 2006)

I am looking for contact details as I have booked for July 2007 but have now been told by Kosmar that the Blue Bay has been "decontracted" for 2007. . Any help would be appreciated as I would still like to stay there rather than accept Kosmars alternative.

Judy R  (15 October 2006)

Had yet another wonderful holiday at the Blue Bay. Ange, Paddy & Spiros could not do enough to make our stay better.
The accommodation is first class, very clean and spacious.
Evening entertain was excellent, enjoying  Angie's quizzes (a must), Greek night, BBQ's and general laughter all the way.
Will see you guys again next year, keep up the good work.
Love you loads Alan & Judy

Karen H  (06 August 2006)

Just returned from two weeks at the Blue Bay apartments. We had a fantastic time and loved it that much that we have booked to return in 2007. It was a very enjoyable family holiday. The greek night, quiz night and karaoke night are three great nights. Paddy, Spiros and Angie all make you feel very welcome throughout your stay at Blue bay ( Angie's full english can't be beat and is great value).

Ian T  (03 August 2006)

Had a week at the Blue Bay in July, me and my Girlfriend loved it so much within 2 weeks of being back we have booked to go back again in September, and can't wait, have stayed at loads of places in Greece before, but the Blue Bay is by far the best ever, great pool, amazing rooms, fantastic views, oh, and Ange and Spiros do a mean full English to.

Caroline W  (30 July 2006)

just got back from the blue bay , they are beautiful apartments very spacious and clean  , and in an excelent  position for beach but not to far from all the bars . everyone makes you feel so welcome , the greek night, quiz night, and karoke night are not to be missed as  spiros paddy and angie are great hosts

Angela B  (21 July 2006)

We went to the Blue Bay in June for 2 weeks and it was great.  Rooms were really nice a lot better than previous years in Greece, four poster bed , tv and even comfy chair and settee.

The pool was lovely and warm and although it was fully booked never really busy.  Paddy Ange and Spiros made you feel really welcome and their Greek nite was great, food was really good.  The only downside is the air conditioning a bit pricey compared to other apartments we had stayed in.

Joanne   (03 February 2006)

We stayed at the Blue Bay appartments in september 05, the accomodation was excellent it was next to the beach and only a short walk to the main resort. The owners were very fiendly, especially Paddy who made us many cocktails. We would recomend a stay at Blue Bay appartments and a visit to the lemon tree restaurant.

Judi S  (07 December 2005)

Fantastic the best accomodation we have been to in Greece.Very spacious appartments with beautiful furnishings-four poster bed, tasteful sofa's,chairs etc Shower curtains (and the shower is on the wall no more trying to wash while holding the shower head in one hand and the soap in the other.)

Very close to the beach and about a 10 min walk to the resort center.Set in a fairly quiet location it was also the most peaceful place we had ever stayed at.

There is a salt water swimming pool although we didn't use it as we went in early October and the weather was a bit chilly.A small pool side bar  serving food drinks and icecream all day and a comfortable bar inside at night.

The hotel is run by two brothers who have paid every attention to detail and run the place to a very high standerd.
I can highly recommend The Blue Bay as an excellent place to stay.
