Buon Amici - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Ian M

I go against the grain here and thought that Buon Amici was just ok. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. Although we were the only people in the restaurant (early evening) we waited around 10 mins before we were asked for drinks. The Bruschetta was absolutely laden with cheese (a first for me to see cheese on Bruschetta), as were the pizzas. Also, we ordered more drinks and watched them warm on the bar for 10 mins, before reminding the waitress. It was a nice place though and would recommend it and presume that we were just unlucky.

Mermaids - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

The recommendations here are justified (unlike Buon Amici which was similarly recommended but did not live up to expectation). The service is really good, both accomodating and friendly, and there always seemed to be someone on hand to serve you.
The food was good too and the range fantastic. You must visit this place.

Dias - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Definetely worth a visit. The restaurant is very picturesque and the food lives up to expectations. I had the beef fillet steak and it was fantastic, cooked to perfection and fantastic. We only went the one night but it falls into the visit again category. (Did I mention that the steak was fantastic? No, well it was fantastic.)

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Read all the comments below and believe them. Outstanding food and service, Dennis and his team work very hard to make your Mikaelos experience as good as it can be as they do get very busy.
You would expect the food to be expensive to pay for the quality and service, but it's the same price as lesser restaurants in Kalamaki. The food was superb. Try the Beef Stilado or Rabbit Zakynthian, in fact try anything as they'll swap it if you don't like it! We ate there 3 nights out of a weeks holiday which speaks for itself.

Zepos Taverna - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

A really nice place, out on its own near the beach. The staff were new for the season and couldn't answer any questions about the food, but friendly enough to compensate. Great range of food (hence the questions). I had a nice mussel starter, my main was okay but I picked the wrong dish. My wife's Mousakka was really nice. Well worth a visit.

Stani - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Only had lunch here (twice). It's a really nice place with views out to sea and hills in land. The food was really nice, my wife particularly liked the club sandwich which was excellent. I had spag bol which was good too. Would have liked to return for dinner but ran out of time. Worth a visit.

Golden Sun Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

We are just back from a week at the GSH and thought it was really nice and would stay there again. It's a good location, 2 mins from the beach and about 10 mins into town (so no nightime noise).
The rooms were clean and the pool area had everything that you needed. The planes are not really a problem so don't be put off by anything that you hear to the contrary. Yes they are close but are infrequent and you hardly notice them once the novelty wears off. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpfull and would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday away from it all.

Cave Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Really nice place. It only opened for the season on our last two nights unfortunately, otherwise we'd have spent the week there watching the sun go down over the bay. The staff are very chilled and friendly. A vey special place and must be experienced for the views, sunset and atmosphere.
