Mavrikos Hotel

Came back from another great year at The Mavrikos it was great to see all the gang and had a great night at our Reunion Dinner organsied by none other than our lovely Jean.

the hotel was clean and the staff seemed friendly. But certain people must go year after year and meet because the hogged the pool and instantly cliked as soon as they came down from dropping there cases off at the room. jean is a good laugh behind the pool bar. thanks.

Without knocking any other place I have ever stayed in within Tsilivi, I have to say this was by far the best accomodation I have had.  We took two grand kids (1 boy, 1 girl) aged 7 and 11, so needed an apartment reather than "rooms".  We booked through Kosmar and for our money  (almost £1200.00 for two weeks), we got two twin bedded rooms, a proper bathroom rather than shower closet as you often get in Greece, and a kitchen-diner, the kitchen being equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwich maker and an multi-point adaptor so you could use several appliances at once...  Maid service everyday with some of the towels (of which there was ample) being changed each day.  The price may seem a little high to some but we did book at Christmas to make sure we got what we wanted and the flight supplement and fuel surcharge actually account for almost 22% of the total cost.

I WENT WITH MY FAMILY IN AUGUST  COULD NOT ARGUE WITH HOTEL OR STAFF ONLY THING THAT SPOILT IT WAS FELLOW BRITS WHO HOGGED THE SUNBEDS , ONE NIGHT AT 1.00AM I WATCHED PEOPLE PUTTING TOWELS ON SUNBEDS , NEEDLESS TO SAY  I FLUNG THEM OFF IT WAS FUN WATCHING PEOPLE LOOK FOR THEIR TOWELS THE NEXT DAY.

 Mavrikos what a place to stay,couldnt think of anywhere better.Just returned from our fifth stay here,some changes to the hotel this year making it even better,no changes with the staff their  fab,Lillys cooking is as near as ,home from home(brilliant),as for Jean,anyone thats met Jean will know what a fantastic funny&helpful person she is.Jonh&marianna are simply the best host you could wish for&although it is their business their No 1 priority is your holiday.Now a note for all those sad people thats given a poor rating, YOU ONLY GET OUT OF YOUR HOLIDAY WHAT YOU PUT IN(try a little harder).

One of the best if not the best hotel/apts on the island. Very clean, big apartments, large pool area and very. very friendly staff. Jean your a legend!!! But remember the ice bucket. I will get you back in 2007.

it has been a year on the 13th october since dennis was taken, just wanted to say we will be thinking of you all at this time, god decided to take him to be at his side, we all miss him and his big smile, just wanted to say he will always be in our thoughts and prayers!!! all our love paula, john, alex, avril, john, demi, graham, christine and charlie x god bless!!!!!

Been back from mavrikos for almost two weeks now and we are so desperate to come back!!!We've never had the holiday blues so bad! I can honestly say that this was the best holiday ive ever had!!!never been to greece before, but now I wont holiday anywhere else! The mavrikos is fantastic, well situated and everybody is really friendly. We will def be back nxt year!!!!  

jus got back from 2 weeks at mavrikos, loved it there my third time there now an im goin back next year 2 celebrate my 18th, hopin the weather is as good in may/june as it was this time, so hot there  missin jean shes an amazin person, such a laugh (throw water over hannah more often) by the way if any cosmos reps read this, (adam in particular ) then big hello to you  (i told you my parents were annoyin an yes i AM 17) anyhow mavrikos great place to go gaurantee you will love it

Just come back from Mavrikos, had a fab time, went on a recommendation from a friend who's been 6 times, Met some great friends there, would recomend it for families.  Fantastic pool area and pool bar, good tasty snacks at good prices all freshly made by lilly, great bar service from Jean keeps eveybody happy allday long. She is a Legend. If you want a quite holiday its not for you? if you want to meet great people and have a good laugh get booked upTsilivi is a great resort, great bars and restraunts to choose from, but watch the roads????? We arrived back in england on 3rd July 2006 after having another fantastic holiday at the mavrikos. This was our third year there and we are hoping to return again later this year. John and Marianna are fantasic and make your stay a memorable one. Jean & Keith  you are the best, brillant, funny and we miss you loads but we will keep in touch. Lilly's cooking is out of this world.Vasili & Janis are brill to. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday.

Hi Derek, The Mavrikos is a fantastic Hotel and I know of people that have had there parties there, if you enquire a few days before im sure they will sort a party out for you.

we are staying in the mavrikos from the 6/8/06 my son is 21 whilst we are there can anyone name any good places to eat and have a 21st party in?

We stayed at the had Mavrikos from 18 June 10 2 July 2006.  Staff were friendly and helpful - especially Jean!!  The apartment was clean and there was plenty for the kids to do. 

Pool was clean and very safe for kids.   Would recommend highly and we hope to be coming back soon.

HAD A FAB 2 WEEK HOLIDAY AT THE MAVRIKOS HOTEL ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND TIDY OUR ROOM WAS ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR NEAR THE BABY POOL AND WAS ALWAYS COOL AND VERY BIG

Just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday staying at the Mavrikos. What a great hotel this was. I agree with the previous comment, I was worried about my 1st holiday to Greece - but it was great and we would return and stay here

Just found this little place. Would like to add my two cents on the Mavrikos.

Behind the bar Ashley was great. There's no doubt that if he wasn't there, the holiday would not have been the same. I hope he still has my present...the lighter that squirts water

It is a wonderfull place to go on your holliday!!!!!!

 Hey ! Second time me and my family have visited the Mavrikos Hotel. Came home this morning. Everything was fabulous, the staff, the entertainment and eveything in general. Thanks to Jean, Les and Darrell for the superb service. Also a big thank you to Lilly for cooking our breakie in the mornings ! Hope to see you next year !

well i have been 4 times 2 mavrikos every 1 there is great and there soo kindomg i cannot believe about denis sooo young he was  i will miss him sooo much  but iam coming bk this year  soo hang on 2 ur boys girls sooo see ya soon jean and the crew hahaha    

The Mavrikos hotel is excellent, the staff are great and the rooms are fantastic, anyone who hasnt been nefore will be delighted, it is very child friendly and reps keep them occupied most of the time. The beech is only a short walk away and there are plenty of bars to try out in the villiage.

going back again this year.Fantastic last year, cant wait to get back there dave and ash we great.Jean was  absolutley great with my kids to.See ya all soon.

We are thinking of booking this hotel for Summer 2007, we are 2 adults and one child, could somebody advise best rooms to go for please, we definetly want a fridge and air con.

My Girlfriend and I came to the mavrikos 2 years ago and vowed we would come back as it was the best holiday we have ever had .

we have just got back from a great holiday at the mavrikos, lovely clean hotel, great location. The staff were great and very friendly especially Jean and Keith, we miss you already!!!. i'll speak to you you after christmas jean about next year, all the family want to come. Just returned after a 2 week stay at the mavrikos hotel for the second year running.  Had a fantastic holiday again infact even better this year.  The staff are very friendly and hotel remains very nice.  John and Marianna are very nice people and all the bar staff, receptionists etc very helpful.  We will be returning again in 2006 for another brilliant holiday.  Recommend the mavrikos to everyone.  Looking forward already to next year.  Hayley, Lynne, Dawn and Denise

We have just arrived back from the Mavrikos aparts after a 17 hour delay and overnight stop in Laganas. The accomodation was the pits probably the worst ever in all my greek holidays, if you are allocated room 541 beware.  I would advise anyone to pay the 30 euros and get the aircon so as you can close the patio doors at night and shut out the noise from the poolside bar, children run riot til the early hours playing haid and seek up and down the fire ascapes.

WE HAVE ONLY JUST LEFT THE HOTEL TODAY  AND WE ALL WANT TO BE BACK TOMORROW. WE HAVE HAD THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER. THE STAFF AND FRIENDS WE HAVE MET OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS HAVE BEEN GREAT AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON.

HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THE REST OF THE SEASON AND BE READY FOR MORE OF US NEXT YEAR BECAUSE WE ARE DEFINATELY COMING BACK.

there is a laundry on the main road next to where the supermarket is,  the big one near mcdonalds you cant miss it,  they wash outfits for you and wash dry iron for small charge as well.

Hello All! Could anyone let me know if there is a laundry in the hotel or near by.My daughter is 3 you see,and no matter how many clothes I take,she'll still manage to get through them all before the fortnight is up.Thanx,Leanne xx. p.s. see you there Fiona!!

Encouraging to see all the good comments.  Really looking forward to our holiday at Mavrikos.  We're going for two weeks on 12th September 2005, (hope to see you there Leanne!).  

Hellooooo, Sarah and Lydia here!!.. We came to The Mavrikos on 5th August 2005, and loved every minute of it!! Just want to say a biiiig thank you to Ashley!! For helping us through the door at the early hours of the morning, after having a few far too many drinks!! .. Keith you're ace.. The KizMister! You always gave us funny looks in the morning as if to say you saw us out drinking the night before!  It was great to relax and sunbathe in the daytime, and then jump into the pool when the heat got a little too much for us! David you're just so funny and everything you said was funny, even if you didn't mean it to be!.. And I still think that you cheat when you neck that WKD, in 2 seconds! We will definitely be returning here in the near future as it was a wonderful hotel thank you all very much and one special mention to the maids who cleaned up after us in the morning and sorry

I am going to the Mavrikos on the 1st of Sept 2005 thinking I had booked a 1 bed apart but have been allocated a studio.Can anyone tell me if this is going to be to small/cramped for my wife/son & I.Will I be dissapointed?

   Just got home!!  Had a great time.  Ashley and Dave are great staff at the hotel and Jean and lilly serve really good bar meals.  Go into the little church at the back of the hotel, it's lovely.  The Greek night was fab and the dancers were great.  Met some lovely people while we stayed there.  The kids loved it aged 13 15 and almost 16.  Safe resort, friendly family atmosphere in the hotel.  Just one complaint........no TV in the rooms but there were a couple in reception and at the bar.  Overall if your looking for a "family holiday" and have small kids it's ideal, if your kids are older like mine its good because you can let them out and know that they are safe.  The whole place is geared up for kids of all ages.  Saw a lovely wedding at hotel as well while we were there, all in all it was a good holiday. Transfer time from airport good-20 mins.  Drinks expensive all round the resort town but you expect that in another country.

hi guys just to say been to mavrikos 7 years in a row and not going this year and im devastated it is a ace hotel all the staff are excellent especially jean and john and marianna  ashley is doin fine whoever wanted to know he is my little cousin and he is having a really good time but working hard. whoever wanted to know phil has left and came back to england and is getting married in august and spending his honeymoon at the mavrikos peter has gone back to macedonia.

Wow ace holiday or what!? The Hotel is well nice and Jay the entertainer at the hotel took me round clubbin got to know everyone and I loved it, definatley coming back!  I was there between 27th may - 3rd June 2005.

Had a great week(13-20/May 2005) We will be coming back. staff very friendly and helpful. Apartment was lovely. The bar and pool area was just fantastic for the kids.

Looking forward to seeing all at the Mavrikos in June.Our 5th year and can't wait to see all our friends .

Had a fantastic holiday in tsilivi in may 2004 and we are going again in september 2005. The hotel was really nice and the staff very friendly and polite. All sorts to do during the day and at night. Would reccommend the mavrikos hotel to everyone, absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to going again in september, a good few months off yet but well worth the wait!! Hi to everyone at the Hotel Mavrikos,
This was the second visit for myself and my daughter and we are looking forward to returning in 2005. Everyone at the hotel were friendly and very helpful, it is clean and very family orientated. Have tried to email Mavrikos but had no reply to find out if they received my room key, which I lost then found when I returned home.
