We got back to our room and they had put roses on our bed  and a bottle of champagne and two glasses . A perefect end to a fab day. They are lovely people . We are going back on the 28th June for our first anniversary. Hi there, I am writitng on behalf of my friend (Sue) who has been to Zante many times and was Karens made of honour at their wedding.  She has lost touch with Pavlo and Karen and oftern thinks of them - when i read your emails to her that they now have a baby she was very touched.

if someone knows karen's home no in Manchester I would be greatful, myself and partner have visited Zante 7 times and always go and see karen and Pavlos, hopfully we should be goin to Zante in june this year, so any info would be appreciated, cheers solli and amanda from co durham.

When I was at White House I thought Karen had a lovelly bum!!! Thought Pavlos was rather quiet and reserved but extremely helpful. Ha ha.

I have just returned from the Whitehouse - Karen is wonderful, so is Pavlos and he has a lovely bum. I will definitely be there next year for the whole summer!
By the way, the baby's name is Viki (Vasiliki) for anybody who is interested.

We had a loveley peaceful 2 week holiday at the whitehouse studios in june 2004. The apartments were basic but the cleaner came in every day. On some days there was only us in the pool which was very clean. We love a very quiet holiday away from the rat race and this could not have been better. The beach is only two minutes walk away. It is at the top end of the town away from the noise. As there are only 12 apartments here Karen and Paulo know exactly what is going on. If you have any problems they will always put it right and they do it straight away. The weather was great (40). We loved it and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants a very relaxing holiday.

Have just returned from our 4th trip to Alykanas and 3rd time to the White House. We just love the quiet and peaceful atomosphere and found it easy to relax. Karen and Pavlos are just great and nothing is too much trouble. In 4 years we have never even ventured further than Alikes. Every year we mean to do the 'trips' but when we get to the White House all we want to do is just relax and enjoy the sun and live around Bonkers Bar. A must is a visit to the Cosy Corner taverna next door where Karen and Paul will prepare you a meal to remember. Decided to go twice next year - can't get enough.

I have just returned from here, after our 1st trip to zante. I can safely say it was an excellent holiday. Both Karen & Pavlos were great hosts, kind and friendly. The resort is great for both beach access - just a few minutes walk, eating out at almost any time of the day/night, and enough shops for all. Bonkers bar is welcoming and nicely setup - pool, sunbeds and of course food & drink a plenty.
It is frequented by Reps (at least 4 there most days), but that proves the quality!! - still this doesn't effect the holiday.

Returned on Tues after a two week stay. Nice to see Karen and Pavlos again with thier lovely little girl. Sorry to see how much the area has changed in our 4 year absence, also how the pool was taken over by the off duty reps from the Alykanas Village ( or as the locals call it "The Monster")Im not a prude but I think thier language in front of children was awfull. I suppose this is progress but I would hate to see what it will be like in a few years time. Shame, we used to love the place

Hi everybody. Well it looks like the founder members of the "BONKERS CLUB" are having a reunion. How will we cope without our CHAIRMAN!!! We will arrive on 5th July. Can't wait.

This was our first visit to Zante but will definitely not be our last. Nice to see Margaret's comments. We were there when she got married and we will be there again next year for their first wedding anniversay. The White House is in a great location. Close to beach and resort centre. What can I say about Pavlos and Karen except they are both fantastic hosts but they should carry a warning because they have got a wicked sense of humour and do like a good practical joke. Next year I will be ready for them. Phil and I had a great holiday, met loads of really nice people and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else but at The White House.

I HAVE JUST FOUND THIS SITE AND COULD`NT STOP MYSELF FROM ADDING A FEW COMMENTS ABOUT THE WHITE HOUSE. OUR FIRST TIME IN ZANTE WE STAYED AT THE THOMPSON HOTEL, JUST A FEW HUNDRED YARDS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. WE WERE SO FED UP WITH THE CRAMPED POOLSIDE THAT WE DECIDED TO SEE WHAT WAS ON OFFER FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD. I WAS REALLY GLAD THAT WE DID AS WE CAME ACROSS BONKERS BAR. I SAT AND HAD A DRINK WITH KARON AND ASKED IF WE COULD HAVE THE USE OF THIER POOL. SHE SAID THAT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM, AND WE SOON FOUND OTHER PEOPLE FROM THE HOTEL DOING THE SAME. THE NEXT YEAR WE ARRANGED TO MEET UP AND STAY AT THE WHITE HOUSE APPS, WHICH WE DID. WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME. THAT WAS IN 2000, AND IN JUST OVER TWO WEEKS WE ARE GOING BACK. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WENT ON MY RETURN.

I AM GOING BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER A FEW YEARS BREAK. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT HASNT CHANGED. I HOPE NOT AS WE HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF BONKERS BAR. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW WE GOT ON WHEN WE RETURN.

must agree with dot Mcghee it was brill just got back from getting married there pavlos and karen were the perefect hosts and so was baby. got home booked for next year we,lle be back on the 28th june 2005 for our first anniversary on the the 10july see you there xxx

just returned from 2 weeks in the sun. had a great time as usual ,pavlos and karen where excellent hosts. accomadation was clean and spacious .breakfast at pavlos was first class and highly recomended as is snacks through out the day until 5pm . I must warn you though you must have a sense of humour to enter pavlos bar as he has a wicked sense of humour as i found out .he and my hubby love to play practical jokes and not every one liked it. NOW that karen has her daughter she isnt around as much in the evening but during the day she and baby are always around and we had a few laughs .we have been going to pavlos and karens for the past 6 years and have seen many changes especially pavlos pride and joy his pool which is spotless. if you want a relaxing holiday then i would full recomend this resort .

Although the room was basic it was clean and comfortable. The location was brilliant. The uncrowded beach is a 1 minute stroll away and the sea was quite shallow with loads of small fish swimming around. The pool is excellent and has a brilliant sunbathing area all round it(with plenty of sunbeds.The owners Pavlos and Karen are very friendly people and one of them was always around the bar if you needed anything. Many people were returning guests from previous years and we shall certainly be going back if we need a quiet relaxing break.

We have just come back from this place and, whilst the room was fairly basic in what it actually had we didn't really need much more.

The cooking area wasn't that big but if you eat out a lot that doesn't matter. The only criticism would be that the sheets and towels were only cleaned a couple of times a week. The cleaners were friendly though and or course Pavlos and his wife were excellent hosts throughout.

The bar was quiet (music and Sky but no pumping dance music all day and night) which was nice and devoid of screaming kids until the last few days. as for the area it is only a minute away from either the beach or the village area (which includes cash facilities), or 10 seconds away from the horse and carts that whisk you away to the restaurants that you really should be walking to!!

I fully recommend it to anyone who wants to go for a quiet week or two without nightclubs, hordes of all-male or female parties looking for a fight, and for a chance to re-charge your batteries.

I can't understand why there aren't many comments about these super apartments. We have just returned from a two week break and can only say that everything about this holiday was PERFECT ! The apartment itself is of a good size and clean. You only get the basics ( air con payable locally, fridge, two cooking rings, small amount cutlery / crockery, but the basics are all you need (who needs satellite TV on holiday for godsake ? !)
Pavlos the owner is very proud of his beautiful pool ( cleaned religiously morning and evening ) and people from neigbouring accommodation were regular visitors as it was such a pleasure to use - combined with the fact that there was a severe shortage of sunbeds and room to sunbathe at both the Alikanas Beach village AND the Alykanas apartment studios which are both very close.
Pavlos is a great host who obviously cares about his customers. He deserves a medal as his wife Karen has just had a baby daughter so is unable to help out at the bar, and Pavlos is working incredibly long hours. He was always cheerful and ready for a joke though and was at his happiest when he could see how happy his guests were.
We'll be back !!!!! and so will most of the people we met there !!!!!

The White House Apartments are basic but clean. There is a great bar and pool. Owners Pavlos and Karen look after everyone and we had some brilliant times in the pool and the bar thanks to them. The Location is perfect - a very short walk to the beach which is great for children as the water is very shallow. Eating out is easy as there are loads of restaurants just up the road in both Alykanas and Alikes. White House if far enough away from the main drag so its very guiet except in the bar at night but that far enough away from the apartments not to bother anyone too much. The weather was scorching in June and you need lots of suncream and mossy spray. We saw lots of stupid Brits - bitten all over and burnt to a crisp. You also need to pay the extra for air conditioning because leaving open your windows gives no relief and invites the mossys to dine on you body. We made loads of friends and will go back. You have to book early for the White House as they tend to go quickly to people who have been there before.

my partner and 1 went last year,rooms were clean, the owners pavlos & karen were very friendly,pavlos even came up 2 fix my toilet at 1am when I broke it!the scran was cheap and tasty.on the last night we had an exallent barbacue aranged br pavlos and karen it cost us about five quid each.....and we got loads were going back again on thursday!

The best thing about the White House studios is their proximity to the beach! They weren't very clean or comfortable - well, at least, they were VERY basic! We ate out all the time, which was just as well, as cooking on two knackered electric rings would have been a challenge. Our room was only cleaned once during the week, and the disgusting loo paper bin was also only done once - we had to chuck it out ourselves. We also had a mouse in the room! Maybe it was an off day for the cleaner, but she didn't seem very bothered! The owner did give us a mouse trap though, and then charged us to use the air conditioning because we couldn't keep the doors open at night in case the mouse came back... The village is not in the least bit 'unspoiled' or 'traditional' as the travel agents and brochures would have you believe. It's trashy and tacky, like a mini-version of the classic Brits abroad resort - not exactly what we were after. Lots of Tavernas selling English food or their tourist versions of Greek Food. However, we were only there for a week, and we wanted some time together after a busy year, with sun, sand and sea, and we got that. So all in all, a good hol, but I would have been very fed up if we'd paid alot of cash for it and been there for a fortnight!

I stayed there in June 1998 . The Accom is Basic But Clean . I believe there have been some changes , Beside the Accom is a Bar called "Bonkers" with a Brand New swimming Pool. The Bar is run by two brothers called Denis and Pavlos , very friendly guys .They Provide lite Snacks during the day . 100 m from the accom is the Beach very shallow and ideal for children . Gets very hot from June onwards
