DENNYS INN HOTEL  KALAMAKI
It has come to the attention of the management of Hotel Dennys Inn that since the merger with Thomas Cook and My Travel there has been some confusion between our hotel and Dennys Apartments.   PLEASE NOTE that Dennys Apartments has no relationship with our hotel.   Please ensure when booking for our hotel that it is in fact Dennys Inn which is bed and breakfast (which is in the Thomas Cook website as a Thomas Cook Hotel) and not self catering which would be Dennys Apartments (which is on the website as a Direct Holidays property).

Direct holidays definitely get my vote.  Flights were early on both occasions.  On the plane the pilot constantly gave us information and pointed out places of interest during the flight.  The rep who did the transfer gave us information on the island and our rep at the Bitzaro Palace Hotel was on hand whenever needed.  She also knew the island well and could give us the information needed.  A detailed list was given to us the day before departure explaining the procedure at the airport and although I have been told some horror stories about Zante airport I must admit everything ran very smoothly, largely to the reps who kept queues organised and there were no hold ups at all.  All the reps were very friendly and helpful doing a very difficult job.  10/10

MY WIFE AND I HAVE JUST COME BACK FROM ZANTE WITH DIRECT HOLIDAYS AND IT WAS REALLY NICE AND I COULDNT PICK ON ANY FAULTS THEN REPS ARE VERY HELPFUL ESPECIALLY SAF (PALLAS HOTEL REP) SHE IS A REAL HELP AND THE FAMILY WHO RUN THE HOTEL ARE FANASTIC AND I WOULD BOOK DIRECT HOLIDAYS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

APART FROM THE DEPARTURE TO COME HOME WAS A LTTLE DELAY CAUSE OF A  TECH FAULT IN MANCHESTER ON WAY OUT

Myself and my wife stayed for 2 weeks.  Direct Holidays are the best.  The rep was brilliant.  She was at our accommodation twice every day.  The flights were on time both ways.  The transfer to Laganas only took 10 minutes.  We stayed in the Denise Beach Apartments.  They are the nicest apartments we ever stayed in.  This was our 3rd time to book with Direct Holidays and we will be doing so again.

3 times with Direct holidays and apart from transfer issues great service everytime. Booked again for 2006 with thru Direct Holidays  but flying with My Travel so hope their just as good.

This was our first holiday with Direct Holidays and werent impressed with the service at all.

Had a problem on arrival at our apartments and when i called the 24hour Helpline I was advised that a Rep would call by but I would have to wait 'a couple of hours' so ended up sorting the problem out ourselves!
We booked an excursion through our Rep to Kefalonia.  The pick up time for this trip was 7.30am however the bus never turned up to pick us up after waiting an hour and a half!  I called the Helpline again and the Rep was no use whatsoever advising us that we must 'have missed the coach' - doh!!!
We then met our Rep later that day to find out that the coach pick up times had been changed to 7.10am the previous week but alas - no one told us and we were offered a 'complimentary bottle of wine' (WHICH WE ARE STILL WAITING ON)! We were re-booked to go the next week however woke on the day to thunderstorms and heavy rain so called the 24hour Helpline at 6.30am and the Rep was unable to tell us if the trip would be going ahead and that we should make our way to the pickup point anyway (a 10 walk away) to wait in the rain for the bus! 
In the end, got a refund for the trip that we never got on but was seriously dissapointed with our Rep in Laganas (who was even late for the accomodation visits)!
 
Doubt we will be booking with Direct Holidays again!

Can't believe Pierre is still there. My Sister & I had him as a Rep last year while staying at The Rania Apartments in July. He definitely has a chip on his shoulder. I had a Camera stolen last year at the beginning of my holiday and was promised a copy of the Incident Report I completed and gave to him. I asked him countless times in Laganas about this and gave up. As we got on the Coach to the Airport going home he told me he would give me this before my flight left for my Insurance Claim. He never turned up after waiting an hour on him beside Passport Control. To me I don't know what his purpose as a Rep is. He did a Welcome Meeting on the first day but I felt if you didn't book any trips with him he did not want to know you. Give him his due, he did his visits when he was supposed to be at my Apartments but all he wanted to do was sit and chat to people or watch Satellite TV. He was a waste of space. Makes you wonder what he would do in a proper Emergency happening while you were on holiday like ending up in hospital. He had to deal with a Break-In below our Apartments the day we left. We felt sorry to the people it happened to as they had just arrived there and we had not faith in him at all. Full of promises and nothing. Chased him for 2 weeks and never got my Insurance Claim fulfilled as Pierre never gave me my report. He's useless and lazy. I know Reps are not well paid but he took on the job so should fulfill his duties.

Holiday itself was great, unfortunately we had the worst rep... Pierre, a 'Canadian' with a serious chip on his shoulders ! Lost count how many times he mentioned "Don't ask me which part of America I come from and I won't ask you which part of Germany you come from" Funny the first time, but again and again to the same people!
Didn't push excursions and just went through the motions (looking very tired and bored), that was when he eventually decided to do welcome meeting ! When asked a question, a grumpy reply would be "I've just told yo that 5 minutes ago".
I know someone in Laganas at a particulat hotel who has only seen him 5 times in 12 weeks.. must be a record....

Direct gets our vote because they are the only company to go to the fabulous Hotel Pallas.

Top tip for the airport is DONT go through to departure lounge until necesssary, have a seat outside instead for a couple of hours.

me and my mum have been to zante twice with direct and they are brilliant we loved the direct divas night it was great.The reps are really nice are rep last year angela and this year jo were especially good we met jo's mum and dad there they are very nice.Stayed at the hotel ikaros second time and the kladis first both really good. kim11189@yahoo.co.uk

WE STAYED AT THE OSCAR APPARTMENTS WHICH WERE NICE BUT OUR REP RUINED THE HOLIDAY COMPLETELY GER AS SHE LIKED TO BE CALLED COMPLAINED RELENTLESSLY THAT SHE SHOULD NOT BE WORKING DUE TO A MAJOR OPERATION AND THAT SHE WAS ONLY THERE BECAUSE OF WORK PRESSURE. IF GER HAD SPENT MORE TIME TALKING TO PEOPLE THAN WORRYING ABOUT HER HAIR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. SHE RUINED MY FAMILIES HOLIDAY FROM DAY ONE. SO THANK YOU

Direct holidays - you rule. Ive just come back from the Apollo Appartments in Laganas, and it was the best holiday ive had in ages. We had a lovely rep called Sarah who was there every 2 or 3 hours, for about an hour or so. She was great, any questions, she dealt with them. We went to the 'direct divas' night out and it was so entertaining i almost cried laughing. we got the sense that everyone in zante cares about each other and theyre all out to have a good time and help as much as they can. so thanks a lot, no problems at all - ill be coming back next year hopefully so watch out haha

Claire and Ger were good reps- (hello!!) we were staying in the oscar and we found them very nice!! you do a good job!!! oh and we are sorry ger for the hassle of us not getting our pasports back from costas before getting on the bus to the airport!! I swear we didnt have that bell!!! Nikos stole it from our room when we werent there but we were going to give it back-honest. but by the time they asked for it Nikos had already broke into our room and took it!!!! Anyway youz do a great job!! We will see you next year coz we aer coming over to work for the summer!!! see ya!! oscars room 408 girls!! first 2 weeks in august!"!!!!!

Second time away with Direct Holidays, and we find the reps very average. This year, some that we encountered didn't seem to know anything, or didn't show any interest in us, or were just plain unfriendly. It's a shame, because everything else about the company has impressed me.

Hannah, the airport is very basic! We've been twice,our third time this year and the airport is the only bad thing we can say about our holiday.We are staying at the Pallas hotel in laganas,and love it.Anyway,to answer your question,when you check in at the airport,DON'T go through to the departure lounge!! it gets very busy and can be overcrowded.have a drink outside the airport or at the cafe by the check in desks for an hour or two then about an hour before you are due to leave ...go through,you won't suffer at all.Have a great holiday ,we may even see you there , we're going on the 1st of sept!!!!

HAVING BEEN TO ZANTE WITH DIRECT HOLIDAYS TWICE NOW.I CAN SAFELY SAY WE BOTH HAD AN AMAZING TIME! WE STAYED AT THE HOTEL PALLAS IN LAGANAS WHICH HAS THE LOVELIEST FAMILY RUNNING IT. WE WERE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A GREAT REP CALLED GERALDINE WHO LOOKED AFTER US BRILLIANTLY! WE ARE GOING BACK THIS SEPTEMBER AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL THE FRIENDS WE MADE THERE AGAIN! OH! DO THE REPS NIGHT.....SUPERB!!!
