Mill Bar - (Bars in Alykanas)

Dave

The best Greek Night we have ever enjoyed, and we've been to quite a few on several islands. Very warm welcoming atmosphere - at any time of day. It was well worth the walk from Alykes. Back for more this year! Ãéá óïõ

Super warm welcoming atmosphere. Food always good as is John's taste in background music. For the past 4 years Skippys has been the place where we eat most frequently. Try it once and you'll be back for more! ×ñïíéá Ðïëëá

Blue Dolphin Bar - (Bars in Alykes)

Dave   (23 March 2001)

We don't just like it - we love it. Eleni produces the best value breakfast we have had anywhere and her food is only eclipsed by her beautiful personality. Paul creates superb cocktails that don't cost you an arm and a leg. The location, at the back of the salt flats, beyond the Appollo, in a large garden make it a super, quiet place to relax under the stars of an evening

Paradise Apts - (Accommodation in Alykes)

Dave

Stayed for 3 week in July 2000. Nice quiet location just beyond the Montreal hotel. We enjoyed our stay.Very nice owners and a stones throw from the sea.

Anatolikos - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Dave

Try it around sunset. The muzak is the sound of the surf and the view is marvelous. With the possible exception of the Golden Dolphin this is probably the most pleasant setting for a meal in Alykes. The quality of the food is first-class. As to the quantity - we've never managed a clean plate yet!

Zakfari Jeep Safari - (Zante Excursions)

Dave   (07 June 2001)

Nicky - You'll never forget a Zakfari Safari. Like Rimmer says - could be a smell, then again it might be the colour too. Rimmer - I think we'll have to do it again. I sold my LR IIA and got a Landcruiser but don't half miss my old toy. At least the lid on your comes off ( more than can be said for the "competition's" vehicle that I noticed last year). CU early July. Ãéá óïì, ×ñïíéá Ðïëëá Dave & Lucy

Virago Bar - (Bars in Alykes)

Dave

Just re-booked for July 2001 - back to the Beach House. So get the Rusty Nails ready! Spiros is a very nice man and Vicky a very beautiful lady. (You're not the only patter merchant Spiro !) Have a good season. Ãéá óïì !

Beach House - (Accommodation in Alykes)

Dave

FANTASTIC. The best location we have come across, and we have been in five in Alykes. Thirty seconds from the door to the beach, 33 seconds to the sea. Just booked for next year. Such a pity that MANOS would not accept a booking for 4 weeks and we have had to settle for three. Hope Steve & Rachel make it back again next year - we really enjoyed your company.

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Dave

If you are staying in Alykes try booking the speedboat through Golden Dolphin Water Sports. They go to the Blue Caves ( though we didn't take that trip) and they also will take you to the Sulphur Beach which is great. Their prices are pretty good too and well worth investigating before booking one of the big cruises. They are rather under-advertised and we only discovered them by chance.

Skippys - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Dave   (19 August 2001)

Back again next July for the 6th year and we'll be eating in Skippys regularly. We really enjoyed "Trainaki" the trip and Jon's commentary gave us a new insight into places and life around Alykes. The wine in the taverna was nice, one more glass and I'd have had to take a siesta! Liked your new web page Jon, at http://www.alykes.4dw.com the pics brought back nice memories. Hope you are all fine and Andrew's team clobbers Notts Forest. Cheers and Beers. Dave & Lucy (Perth Scotland)

Apollo Restaurant - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Dave

Food is very good. Can't say that we have found Kim particularly welcoming - rather cool and aloof compared with most owners, despite being a fellow Scot. Nice views across the salt flats at night.
