Deborah, it's a nice 10 minute stroll to the beach. If you don't already know Mavrias is on the same complex as the Princess Hotel so you will also have all their facilities as well. Great place to stay.

I come back from Christina on 30th September. The room I had was good, always clean and shower worked all the time. I have been going to Zante for 20 years now and yes I have stayed in better but I have also stayed in worse, it all depends what you expect from Greek basic accomodation. Although I did not spend a lot of time around the pool when I came back in the evening and had a few drinks late on there was no problem.The staff were always friendly, always got a good morning on my way out. I sprained my ankle late on in the holiday and so instead of walking I asked one of the staff to ring me cabs to go out, again this was no problem for them ( phone cards were 4 euro to use the same phone but I was never asked for any money). All in all another great holiday on zante and although these are a bit far out of the village for me I would not hesitate in going back to them.

Xuguang - Kalamaki is a five minute drive from the airport and should cost about 10 euro in a taxi. As can be seen from the previous posting the planes fly over the edge of Kalamaki.I have been going to Zante for over 20 years and I am sure you will enjoy it. I always stay in Tsilivi but have visited Kalamaki many times over the years. If I was to consider staying in another resort it would be high on my list.

 Still here in Zakynthos, sad to be going in the morning. Dinos Apartments are the best. Large rooms and always clean. Dinos and his family are very welcoming also Dimitri during the day.

Have been to shipwreck on the big boats and it does not compare with this at all. An excellent trip all round. A must trip. 

I cannot understand the last comment at all. I have been going to Tsilivi and known Lakis the owner for 20+ years and have never seen anyone being treated badly in any way by any of the staff in all that time.Update 22/10. Seems like whoever put the bad comment on this page has had second thoughts as it has been removed. It would be nice to know what restaurant they did have the bad time in !!

I assume you have booked the Mavrias and not the Princess Hotel, as they are the same complex and enjoy all the same facilities. You do not need to go via the hotel reception to get to the apartments as they are built around the hotel.

Yes they are just down the road from Popeyes, by the new bakery just before Paradise Bar.

You will enjoy it here as all the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Did you log onto the wrong page? Tsilivi is a great resort to stay in. You have all the watersports you could want on the beach which is a nice 10 to 15 minute stroll from centre of Tsilivi. If you want to see the Blue Caves and Shipwreck go with Captain Spiros on his very fast speedboat, by far the best way, you will find him on the beach or at the harbour when he returns early afternoon. The choice of good bars and tavernas is 'almost' unlimited.

Another great trip with Captain Spiros. This time south to see the turtles and Keri caves. Would recommend both trips 10/10. He even took time out to warn some idiots who were overloading a peddleo some 300/400 meters frome shore, of the danger they were in. I believe this shows how strongly he feels about the saftey of anyone enjoying the sea around Zante.

I have just come back for Georgia ( Third time, also 22 years to Tsilivi) I would say they are typical Greek apartments, above average and kept clean and tidy. Their pool and pool bar are nice too. They are in a very central location close to all the shops, bars and tavernas, I have my favorites but you are spoilt for choice. Although central still only a nice 10 minute stroll to the beach. If you have not been before and want to see the shipwreck and blue caves, go with Captain Spiros on Levante Speedboat, by far the best way. Buses to Zante town are good and taxis are quit cheap too.

A few comments to help out with the recent posts below. To see where the Princess / Mavrias is go to the new Tsilivi street view, find the Family Restaurant and open the view (in the centre of Tsilivi on an S bend), pan round 180 deg. You will see the bakery in the foreground and down the road to the left behind it you can just see the pool bar of the Princess. It is about a ten minute stroll to the beach. The service is very friendly and it is an excellent place to stay. You do have to pay for air con and safes as you do in most places in Tsilivi. I have not stayed myself for some time but use the pool bar every year because of the welcome you always get.

Just for info. Anyone going to Tragaki look up Petrinos Kipos restaurant on the main road from Tsilivi to Kipseli. Run by an English couple, you will always get a warm welcome and excellent food etc.

Mavrias Village is same as Princess Hotel complex (also on same is Katerina Studios). The next nearest hotel is the Mavrikos about 200 meters. If you go to the Tsilivi map on this site you will see three balloons at bottom, the one on the right is Princess / Mavrias, the one on the left is Mavrikos.
