Trenta Nove - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

We went here on the first day we were in Tsilivi and loved it!  We had the house white wine and lamb chops and they were both gorgeous.  Not normally a huge lamb fan, but for some reason decided to try the chops - had them again when we went back!  Wine was very reasonably priced, well chilled and excellent flavour.  Highly recommended restaurant - staff were very friendly as well.  Well worth a visit!

Ariadne - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Fallen A  (03 October 2005)

Excellent Greek salads and dolmades here.  We went here late on our first night after we had dropped off our luggage at the apartments.  No pressure to leave, even after we had long finished our meals and were the last 2 customers in the place.  Friendly staff.  We had the house red wine which I though was lovely, but my friend didn't.  But she prefers white anyway.  Would definitely go back here again!

Athena - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

I am surprised to read all the negative comments about this place as I thought it was great.  The moussaka and dolmades were lovely - I am a big fan of dolmades and these were the best I tasted in the whole of Tsilivi!  Pricing was good, wine was nice as well - would definitely go back here.  The huge amount of people in this restaurant every night would suggest we were not the only ones who liked it as well.

Olive Tree - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

This wasn't the best meal I had in Tsilivi, but was still far better than most food I have had in the UK.  The house white wine was gorgeous - we ended up drinking more than we intended to because it was so nice!  Although this was the most expensive meal we had in the resort it certainly was no more than it should have been (about 20 euros each for 2 starters, 2 mains, litre of wine and 1 dessert) - would have probably been almost double that in the UK.  Would go again, but would probably stick to slightly cheaper places if on a budget.

Friends Bar - (Bars in Tsilivi)

Fallen A  (03 October 2005)

We only went here a couple of times early in the evening, but enjoyed it very much on each occasion.  Staff were friendly, free crisps, and films / football to watch on a large screen.  Cocktails were beautiful, spirits nice and strong!  Seemed slightly more expensive than most other bars, but the drinks seemed stronger so fair enough!  Would definitely go again.

Traffic Bar - (Bars in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

Traffic was great - lovely cocktails, friendly staff, well priced.  We went here a few times and really enjoyed it.  Would definitely go back again.

Paradise Bar - (Bars in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

Bar staff were great here - very friendly and very entertaining!  Karaoke also available for anyone wanting it!  Cocktails were delicious and free shots a plenty.  Not recommended if you're looking for a quiet night, which luckily we weren't!  Great bar!

Zante Town Shoppers Special - (Zante Excursions)

Fallen A

We really enjoyed the trip to Zante town.  Yes, you can get the bus for less money in the day time, but the shops shut at 1pm until about 5 or 6, and the buses stop running very early so there is not always much point.  Who really wants to get up at the crack of dawn when they're on holiday and try and catch the shops in the morning before they shut to save a few quid?  It was 8 euros each (about £5) when we booked through Olympic.  The guide was very good, we got lots of time in the town centre and stopped off to look inside one of the town's churches.  No complaints whatsoever.  Recommended.

Olympic Holidays - (Tour Operators in Zante)

Fallen A

No complaints about the holiday here.  Rep (Brett) was excellent - didn't try and force unwanted excursions on us like some do.  Transfer rep on the way to the studios was also very good (can't remember his name).  Accommodation was excellent and Olympic descriptions were accurate.  Airport transfers were lovely and short - I know that on some islands they can be around 3 hours long with this tour operator.  Coaches were very comfortable.  Flights were early there and back (though I know this is down to the airline and not Olympic), but were at very good times of day - not horrible overnight flights.

Greek Night - (Zante Excursions)

Fallen A

The picture below (waiting for approval at present) was taken on the Greek night in Kambi.  I just wrote a lengthy review of it (it was very good) but somehow it has been lost in cyber space and I don't have time to write another one right now so I might another time.

Magdalenas Bar - (Bars in Tsilivi)

Fallen A

Lovely bar!  Friendly and polite staff, excellent cocktails, reasonably priced and they show films and football here too.  Recommended!

Tsilivi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Fallen A

Lovely resort!  Plenty of things to do without being too commercial.  Lots of restaurants and bars with some bars you can watch films in, a few supermarkets, everything you need really.  I always say I won't go back to the same place and will always go somewhere different on holiday, but I wouldn't object to going back to Tsilivi again!

Tsilivi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Fallen A

Lovely beach - kept very clean!  Sunbeds reasonably priced and staff friendly.  Didn't go into the sea, but my friend did and loved it.  You can even get a Chinese massage on the beach!  Toilets leave a lot to be desired, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars around whose you can probably use.  we liked this beach so much we went there every day in favour of looking around for nice pool bars instead.
