Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

I love dolphins and was wondering how likley you are to see them on the boat trip?

Garden Village - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Leanne S

These apartments are beautiful. carol and nickos will see to any need you have - nothings too much for them and they provide a very friendly and personal service. attention to detail is what made it for us with fresh flowers and good information about the resort provided in the room upon arrival. Highly recommended for couples and for familes - great for kids.

St Nicholas Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Leanne S

we didn't know about the free bus service to the beach from kalimaki so we got a taxi for 5000 dr. (ABOUT £9) and got the free bus back in the afternoon. this was an extreamly busy beach and with its golden sand and fantastic water sports it was easy to see why. parasailing, ringos, jet ski plus much more provided for good prices. good fun but not the sort of beach to get away from it all.

Kalamaki Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Leanne S

We saw a turtle too on one of the boat trips which was great - felt a bit sorry for it though being boxed in by 3 - 4 boats which kind of made me wish these thing were more regulated. PLEASE show some respect to these beautiful creatures by respecting the no parasol and no night swimming rule. after all they were there first. beach is lovely if you walk from the crowds. safe and great for snorkling

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Leanne S

We went on the Matalana which was easily the best boat doing the whole day tour and their were plenty on places to escape the miday sun with an air conditioned bar! still the trip is too long. once you have seen the amazing shipwreck ( although it really is a rust bucket from scotland) and the blue caves there are only so many rock formations you can look at - if possible book a half day trip to see the caves and shipwreck.

Day trip to Olympia - (Zante Excursions)

Leanne S

It took about 3 hours to get to olympia from our starting point at kalamaki but 1.5 hours was on the ferry to the main land so it wasn't too bad and well worth it. the tour guide marios was fantastic making the whole place come to life. we spent about 3 hours at the site and 2 hour for lunch and shopping in the town olympia. take plenty of water as it is a whole day and it is hot and don't go the the place the support for lunch as it is a rip off. a great day out and the next time the olympic flame is lit you can say you've been there and experienced some of the magic for yourself.

Zakfari Jeep Safari - (Zante Excursions)

Leanne S  (13 August 2001)

we didn't just like it, we loved it - have the wind in your hair, get smelly (NOT GIVING ANYTHING AWAY THOUGH) and see the true Zakynthos, away from the tourist centers, to beautiful beaches, and have a great time. paul is such an entertainer (with a good imagination to boot). I went on this trip not sure what we were to expect and now I have had this must have experience I don't want to spoil part of the mystery by telling - you'll just have to see for yourself and I highly recommend you do. you won't regret it

Zakanthi - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Leanne S

The food was fantastic, good value and the place is in a beautiful setting. The service is slow but when you can attract the waiters attention they are only too pleased to assist - however rushed off there feet they are. some places we went to the service was slow as the waiters were evedently lazy but not here. just sit back and soak up the atmosphere - and enjoy your meal
