Please could you be a help! my mum, dad and i are going to the zante star appartments in august ( 17th). We would like to know a few things.
In the appartments do they have ovens, grills? Is there a supermarket or food shop by the zante star? What other facilities and appliances are in the appartment? Has the bug that has been around gone yet? all these questions will really help us! thanks , please reply.

We stayed in room 215 from the 17th to the 31st of august. The apartments are quite small, but it began to feel like home (for me). BEWARE - the kitchen area is miniscaule, you have liturally 2cooking rings and a fridge. You'd be better to eat at the pool bar , until it closes at 5.30pm or go out for meals. Otherwise it is a bit of a palarva. Nice views, beach good. Alex's supermarket - 2 mins away , to the right when you exit the hotel. Good restaurants are:
'DEMARAS' to the left when you exit to the hotel, very nice food and brilliant hosts. A greek family run it , they are all polite and there is a very nice atmosphere. The ' Olive Tree' is a good restaurant in the middle of town - good food - but packed, we had to wait for a table. Also DINO'S is a good terverna. The Zante star was very nice, fantastic quiz and fashion show night . Grrek night quite good. Yannis and Tracey are helpful and the place is kept spotless by the maid service. The downside the holiday was not the aparthotel, but the actual resort - TSILIVI , we thought it wasn't that nice, busy and loud especially and night.

So, go to the above restaurants, go to the beach, go on the trip around the island. Make the most of it.

P.S The airport is pretty bad, although on the way back to the u.k, is pretty fast after your long wait to actually step in the airport.

I would recommend the apparthotel, because it is a place you will be happy at rather than some other places.

the appartments are small but hopefully you'll get used to it. when we went a couples of years a go they didn't have fans - i think they do now tho. the cooking facilities are small. we mostly went out - although it gets expenssive. they do nice snacks during the day aat the hotel, but they stop them about 5. didn't use cooker stove really .

have a good holiday. i'm sure it will be hot - its greece !

the town is near by. walking distance. loads of good restaurants and bars near by...

yes, just cooking rings, yes they have fridges, supermarket down the road, should have all you need. theres two ways of going from the htel. bug supermarket down the road on the corner, keep going and u get to the main town with tavernas and restaurans, bars, clubs. i think the other way, they have v. nice little tavernas.

read my previous comments. (this is a teenagers view by the way as that is what i am)what i'll add is that when u come out of the hotels main entrance you can turn left and right. i can't remember cos i went a couple years a go now with my mum and dad , but ask, but one way you get to the supermarket shop, very useful and the other to the beach.
