Going to Alykanas Beach Village in 2003, are any of the l bed apartments facing the sea? Also is there any evening entertainment in the complex. Is the air conditioning any good? Go raibh maith agut.
Any one going to the Alykanas Beach Village should check out their new website, its brilliant and has a virtual tour......www.alykanasvillage.gr
Hope this helps
These have their own website and you can find it on the Alykes site at www.alykes.com it has a virtual tour and there you can see the position of the apartments and have a look at them by clicking on the icon........hope this helps
Neil, the Akykanas beach village is for Irish and English holiday makers only, as far a I know......no Germans were there last yearbut that, but that did not stop the British from hogging the sunbeds and umbrellas!!!
Would love to go back to Athens, what is the best agency to book with. I want to stay very central and have some free time to ourselves. oh and also what does it cost!
Thanks a million.
Looking at everyone that has had there holidays cancelled with Airtours to the Alykanas Village........How come they are able to take all Manos clients booked to stay at the Alykanas Beach Studios next door, transfered because of building work........any comments
Sorry all Kosmar clients not Manos as mentioned below........
Beware of the new Letsos Supermarket........
He has tried to rip-off a few people staying in Alykanas last week, I being one of them but I saw what he was doing......charged 1.94 instead of 1.49E
One tomato cost 80cents until I questioned it and then he said he was very tried with lots of tourists!
A friend was charged for 6 drinks when she only bought 4........so beware!
Hi Tony, the charge for air conditioning is 40 euro per week, and if you are going this week you will definately need it, the temp today is 93deg.
I brought a table fan with me last week and it worked well, we needed it as night only but it was not as hot as it is now! Also safety deposit box is 20 per week or 35 for two weeks.......enjoy you stay it a lovely place
Julia, the apartments are quite large, and certainly the 2 bed would be too big for you, the is a double bed in one room and two singles in the other, both with TVs,dressing tables and wardrobes, the studio are nice and roomly by greek standards hope this helps,
If you go there make sure you bring your beach shoes the stones are hell on you feet, otherwise a nice place, but very very very hot
You can book with spring tours to go to Zante town twice a day at 10.30 am and again at 6 p.m. for 3 euros and they collect you and bring you back to Alikes after three or four hours......plenty of time to shop and eat
If you hire a car and drive to the very north of the island as far a the lighthouse, you can go and see the blue caves very cheaply and boats go every five minutes, so its good for those that do not wish to go on long sea journeys, as it is directly underneath the lighthouse.
Thanks for that Criss. Didnt go when we were over in May and now I am glad........and I saved myself 108Euro x 3!!!
