Venetian Castle

Not much castle left but an interesting visit and stunning views from the top. though clouded over a bit when we got to the top! tut!

A peaceful, cool, pine covered forest above the town. The view of the terracotta roof tiles make the trek worth it alone.

What an incredible place! Quite a trek up the hill in the midday heat (but we can recommend drinks with a stunning view at the Panorama bar on the way back down), but you're then in a lovely pine forest with some interesting old ruins and great views all round.

Just go up and up, Get there early to avoid heat, Not loads to see within but GREAT Views over most of Island. The Tour reps can't get coaches up there so that's why You need own transport - Worth a Visit

The Fortress was closed when we finally found it and it was very difficult to find, no signs. But the view to the Zante town was wonderful from that hill, no doubt worth visiting!

Wow the views,costs approx £1.00 to get in.closes at 2.30,a welcome break from the heat cool&shady you can really loose yourself in there.

The fortress has fantastic views of the island but not a lot else to see. Make sure you dont get locked in, we did and had to climb over the gates

I Liked it very good. Is very pretty place for me. I liked to sit and watch it. I like very much this place.

The fortress has very good panoramic views of the harbour. Apart from that it very sprawling and badly marked out not a great deal to see. Worth a visit just for the peace and quiet, it is cool and shady.
