Bolero Cafe Bar

Bars in Tsilivi

Luke R (16 June 2008)

Cheers  for  the  info.  Sad  to  see  them  go.  Think  the  Tsilivi  Beach  going  all-Inc  must  have  done  it  as  custom  was  thin  on  the  ground  last year.

Over  to  the  Sunshine  Bar  then  I  suppose.  The  bloke  dont  say  much  but  its  pleasant  enough.

Thinking  of  trying  the  Amarylis  Appts  next - anyone  know  where  it  is  in  relation  to - say  Popeyes ???

Thanks  again

Luke R  (12 June 2008)        10/10

Bit  upset  to  hear  the  Bolero  was  closed,  specially  as  I'd  recommended  it  to  a  group  of  30  staying  at  the  Phoenix  Beach  and  surrounding  hotels  in  Aug.  I  was  due  back  there  in  2009.  Really  hope  George  and Angela  are  ok.

If  anyone  hears  anything,  can  they  post  it  on  here

cheers

Thanks folks... will try out your recommendations for BAr & Restaurant. I think the restaurant is next door or very near to our apartments anyway. We are in the Alamis in 3 weeks time. Can't wait to feel some sunshine again.

Dianne F (06 July 2007)

Thank you so much for your help. Will defo try them this September. As for Manos Grill that is one of the places we would never miss. We love it.

Cheers

Restaurant is called DIONYSIS  and if you go past it to the end and turn left , 50 yards up the rosd is yiannis` brother`s new bar called the JOLLY SAILOR , great owner called KOSTAS and his drinks are really cheap , good breakfast aswell . ENJOY .........  BUT THE BOLERO DOES THE BEST BREAKFAST AND IS THE CHEAPEST .

Dianne

As  per  previous  review,  the  Bolero  is welcoming  and  addictive. Went  there  every  morning  for  Breakfast  and  every  evening  for  the  entertainment/drinks  etc.[Georges  Greek  Night  is  excellent]

Somewhere  else  to  try....Assuming  you  find  the  Bolero, Stand  with  your  back  to   the  entrance  and  turn  right,  up  towards  the  Apollon.  About  80yrds  up  from  the  Bolero,  theres  a  small,  elevated  resteruant  on  the  end  of  an  apartment  complex.  It  sits  about  30/40  people.  Cant  remember  the  name  but  its  run  by  Yannis - a  Greek  version  of  Manuel  from  Faulty  Towers.  He's  responsible  for  the  posters  and  menus  advertising  his  place,  up  by  the  Contessina  Hotel .

The  food  is  wonderful,   great  selection  of  beers  and local  wines  and  its  all  around  half  the  price  of  the  resteraunts  up  along  the  main  road.  Theres  no  entertainment - just  Yannis.!  'Smashing '  place  youll  love  it.-Also  try  the  Manos  Grill [past  Yannis'  and  turn  right  towards  sea]  Bigger  menu and  foods  excellent-  patron  very  welcoming..

Can anyone please tell me where this bar is please. I have been to Tsilivi so many times but I still find new places I want try. I am one of those people who tend to go to the same places each time. This year I intend to be different and try some new restuarants and bars. Mind you I will still go to my favourites as well!!!!!!!! Would never let them down!!!

Great  Breakfasts,  Great  Greek  Nights,  Great  food!  George  and  Angela  and  Nicolas [2]  were  great  hosts  and  great  company.  Thrashed  him  at  pool  and  Pro  evolution !  Better  luck  next  year  George.

Go  there!  its  the  friendliest  bar  in  Tsilivi-  Save your  change  for  Grandad  and  Josies  legs  getting  better -  long  story.
See  you  in  a  bit. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the neraider studios just round the corner from this bar, popped in for a quick drink on the way home one night and found the place addictive. we went to the karaoke and the quiz night/world cup final, had sunday lunch (unbelieveable! - although you need a yorkshire lass to teach you how to make real Yorkshire puds! ha ha!) and even managed to bribe my stepdad to part with his Boro shirt for George!

both George and Angela have been brilliant and we wish them both good luck for future! well deserved!

Paul   (08 June 2006)

I have to agree , me and my family returned today and have had a great time , george and angela are the best hosts and cannot do enough for you , we look forward to seeing you all next year , the BEST breakfast in Tsilivi by far , well worth a visit   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
