Cafe Romanza is a place that I like to call home, and have been there most summers of my life. Of course it is my wonderful granfather who owns it, but besides that....it IS a great place for the scenery, FOOD, and company. I highly reccomend this place to all who visit the island.

P.S. Did I mention that I love the food??

Hi Theo, sorry about the delay but we had a problem with the computer.

Anyway , I would like to say that THEO is back.Smile There was a small problem and he opened a month late but now he is OK and raring to go. The place has been refurbished and is even better than before. The view from the resaurant is unbelievable and you have to see it for yourself. If you have not been here you have to try it.The Greek chips are as ever the best on the island and you must try his ice cream-best ever.

Tongue Theo,
Hope you and your family are all well and hopefully we`ll see you in September. Did you manage to get that swim?

Love Jean and Dave.

was just looking at this message board at all your comments on cafe romanza. My hubby and i and 2 children are going back to Tsilivi on the 9th sept for 2 weeks. This place looks really nice, and we trust all your comments on how nice the food is. We are staying at the Tsilivi admirals, which is in the planos are of the village. Could anybody tell us how we can find cafe romanza? I have been looking at the photo of it, and can see that the sea is in the background, but i can't seem to figure out where it is. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What can we say that hasn't been said before? Wonderful food, wonderful service and wonderful company! There's also a wonderful view of the sea and a most welcoming breeze on the hottest of days. It's impossible not to mention that Theo makes the best chips on the islands!

Sean/jo B

Theo is still in good form and no doubt even better given the football. He was waiting for delivery of a charcoal grill and intends to go up market in the evenings serving a full grill menu with some traditional Greek dishes too!As always well worth a {many}visits

Karen D

What can I say about Theo? From the moment I met him I knew the Irish and the Greeks have alot in common...a sense of humour!! Great place, great food, but most of all great company. Looking forward to seeing you in September Theo. PS: Niall will be bringing the girlfriend!!!

Jean & Dave

We called in to see Theo on the 20th May. He had only arrived the day before, and was working hard to be open by the 22nd.He had a welcome break, a few beers and a chat. We have known Theo for 13 years and the Romanza has become a must visit whilst on hols. Theo is a man with a nautical background and keeps the place shipshape, his food is excellent and he serves good local wine. See you again in September Theo!

Alun +

as everyone else has said theo is the nicest of people, cant do enough for you, we also stop on the way to the beach in the morning and spend a few hours relaxing over coffee watching the sun go down in the evening

I've been to Romanza on many occasions during my stay in Zante. As others have said, "once you go-you can't stay away"! well, those are my thoughts exactly!I went there by chance, and not only was the view incredible, the food was just as great! It's definitely a great place to go. If you happen to pass by, make sure to ask for Theo, he'll treat you with great respect and his english is great!

We decided to visit Cafe Romanza after reading what other people had said about it on this websit. Once we found it we wished we had discovered it earlier. Theo was such a friendly guy only too happy to help. The food was great, everything made to order - his chips were especially good!! Thanks for making us feel so welcome Theo, hope to see you again next year.

we first came across theo at the cafe romanza 10 years ago when out cycling. we have been back every year since he has a son and wonderful grandauhter he cooks nice t-bone steak and serves generous ouzo we have had a few beers with him around town he has a great sence of humour and speaks very good english we are looking forward to seeing him this year

Ben

Nice place to walk up to and escape the crowds.

We have just finished our second fortnight in Tsilivi this year and spent everyday visiting Theo at Cafe Romanza on the way to the beach. He has become part of our holiday. We have half a hour each day of fun and jokes over a frappe coffee and fries. Theo must be the only person left on the island who makes real chips - to order. No McCain's frozen stuff for him. We haven't even had real chips from the real Greek Tavernas out in the hills. Make at least one visit to Cafe Romanza and you will want to call back time and time again. It's not hard to find especially if you hire a bike or a car. Just take the coastal road out of Tsilivi past the Balcony Cafe and keep going until you start to descend the hill and there he is on your left in Akroteri.

Des W

We went back here a couple of times and as the previous person says Theo is a great character.Nice at sunset with a view over the sea.

Tony C

It's on the coast road out of Tsilivi as the road winds down to Akroteri. It's a small road-side establishment with panoramic sea views. Theo the owner is very friendly and will serve up hot and cold drinks, snacks and hot meals, his prices are also very reasonable. It's a welcome stop if you are riding or even walking from Tsilivi into Zante town. We discovered this cafe more by chance a couple of years ago when our motorbike broke down nearby. Theo couldn't do enough to help and we've been calling on him ever since.
