Astoria Hotel - (Accommodation in Alykes)

Colin W          9/10

Liked the hotel, good size rooms, great bathroom that has a full sized bath and a shower! Cleaned every day and towels changed every other day (towels are a bit hard and could do with softning up)

Nice staff, very friendly and the hotel is very quiet at night (we had sea view room so can't comment on the noise levels of the rooms that were facing the salt flats) Breakfast was a bit early for us, it started at 08:00 until 09:30. We did try it once but it wasn't to my liking (could have grouted the bathroom with the scrambled egg!) The restaurant is in an ideal location facing the sea. We never tried the evening meals as there is so much choice in Alykes. All in all a nice hotel and would stay there again.

Asteria Restaurant - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Colin W          10/10

This was the first time we had a meal at the Asteria and we liked it so much we went back a few nights later. The guy on the street who invites you to give it a go is a great lad who looks after the sunbeds outside of the Asteria on the beach. He's called Vladimir (Vladdy) and works really hard from early morning getting the beach tidy etc until late at night. The meals were superb (stuffed tomato starter and Lamb Kleftiko main) and we will be going back again next year.

Vrisaki - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Colin W          9/10

visited this restaurant again in September after having a beautiful meal there in July and pleased to say that it's still fantastic! Try the prawn saganaki starter, absolutley marvelous. I also tried the stuffed vine leaves and they too were delicious. Beef stifado main was cooked to perfection and the wife loved her lemon pork. This is now a firm favourite and will be visiting again next year without doubt.

Cosy Corner - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Once again we took the walk from Alykes to visit Shortie and crew and we weren't disappointed. The welcome was as good as the meal! I settled for his now famous 'meatballs in special sauce' and it was fantastic. 'She who must be fed' had the chicken curry and cleared the plate. All in all, another great time at the Cosy. See you next year!
