Really good authentic Greek food with fast efficient and friendly service!

A truly traditional Greek Taverna, combining charming surroundings with authentic Greek cuisine. We have eaten here on several occasions, even hiring a car to specially make the trip! Favoured by the locals, which is surely praise enough. Newspaper clipings outside proclaim this to be one the five best restaurants in the whole of Greece - we agree! Try the Loukamades!

Tassos and his family have been providing the best food on Zakynthos since tha late seventie when it was a small taverna. Now, it's grown into a much larger restaurant, but the friendly service has remained just as efficient. Just see haw many locals eat there and you'll realise how authentic the food is. It must be the only restaurant on the island to get a full page enthusiastic review in the Times!

Have eaten at the Mantalena many many times- lovely food- authentic Greek cuisine. Children can play out the back so you can relax under the vines and have a good time.
