Pandesia - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Reasonably priced but food isnt the best you can get. Especially if you are looking for vegetarian food there are better places than the Pandesia.

Olive Tree Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

We just spent 2 weeks in beautiful Zante and ate at the Olive tree three times...we couldnt help but keep coming back for more! We had the combo platter with a selection of typical Greek foods such as tzaziki, stuffed vine leaves, meat balls, etc for starter and it was fantastic everytime! Very reasonably priced aswell at around 9 euro-compared to a starter platter at 12.90 in the Mermaids restaurant up the road (dont go there, the service is atrocious!). The Olive Tree also offers a wide range of Vegetarian foods. The vegetables were always fresh and all sauces/dips home made and yummy. DEFINITELY worth a try!!!!!

Marathonisi Island - (Places to Visit in Zante)

My boyfriend and I hired a motorboat at Keri beach for a couple of hours and went around turtle island. It only cost us around 25 Euros. Also stopped at the beach which was fantastic! It felt like we were on a desert island, the water is fantastic, clean and crystal clear! It is one of the best places I have ever been! The guys who hired the boat to us (I think it was called Dolphin water sports) were a great laugh, we sat with them for half an hour while waiting for a free boat and they were so friendly and welcoming. They also showed us everything we needed to know like how to get the motor running and so on and you dont really need any previous experience to hire a small motor boat.

Shipwreck Viewing Platform - (Places to Visit in Zante)

We didnt go to the viewing platform but went to the actual beach on a small boat from Alykes beach. They sell trips right at the beachfront in Alykes and the boat only holds around 16 people. The day we went there were only 12 in all so it was nice and quiet and not too squashed. The bloke even gave us a discount so we paid 40 Euros for 2 people to go to the shipwreck and also to see the Blue caves. Soz, cant remember the regular price. Anyway, as you approach the beach, the water turns this amazing turquoise colour, it was wicked! I have never seen anything like it, we jumped off the boat into the surf and got to spend half an hour swimming and sunbathing. There isnt any sand but very small white pebbles so take good shoes! Wow, I would definately recommend going, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!
