This was our second year at the Astoria & it won't be our last. The food is excellant, especially the buffet breakfast where you can eat as much as you like. The hotel is known by the locals as the 'one with carpets' these are in every room and along the corridors which help deaden sound, the hotel itself is kept immaculately clean. It is situated a few minutes walk from the main area, just far enough away to be quiet at night. This is one hotel where people return year after year, we were surrounded by guests who had been returning from anywhere between 2 - 15 years. we've been the past two years in the first two weeks of the season, last year you just had the baby and your wife was cooking again. John you was also getting into trouble from her indoors about the bill you was running up surfing the net. See you again in about 5 weeks mate
