Cave Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra L

You have to go here….no must, may or meant to!

It's great!  Go to enjoy the sunsets, the cocktails, the service (and tip well).

I met loads of people who kept meaning to go and got side tracked… after they saw the pictures they regretted it sooo much so be clever and get there early

Lots of love to Nikos and Yiannis, hope you are both well….so sorry I won't be able to come out this year.  Thank you again for all your help and laughs last year…

Hopefully see you soon  for a cranberry juice

PS.  Send my love to Labros and Tasos too …..Yasooo!!

PnP - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Hi Anne & Hazel

I have to agree with you that Zante is a great place and P&P's was one of my fave places.  I stayed in Zante for a few months last season and worked at Cave bar (also a fab place) but did go to P&P's quite a lot of a daytime.

Labros is such a nice guy and always cheered me up and was a good friend whilst I was there so I'm sad to hear that it's been quiet so far this seaso...

Please send my best when you visit as I can't get to Zante this year but will miss it terribly.

So if you haven't been here you have to go, it has lovely food, drinks and everyone there is so welcoming.

Enjoy your holidays...

How jealous am I Anne!

It's def worth trying to learn some Greek, granted it's not the easiest language to learn but you'll get sooo much further if you try.  I only had some very basic words/phrases but any locals I met really appreciated it when I tried (and more than often failed :)

I miss my lattes in the sun and alcoholic cappucinos  at P&P's

Maybe next year hey!

Oh I promise the basic hello, how are you please, thank you, yes no & sorry are easy to grasp and you'll find yourself saying them all the time  I just had trouble getting any further than that!

I actually have always worked in admin and offices, went on hol to Kalamaki last year to visit friends and stayed.  It was a great experience and I loved the Island but it's easy to get wrapped up in I suppose and to lose touch with the reality of stuff.  But I don't regret it at all!!  I have the dream of escaping in many years to a warm friendly place like Kalamaki and owning a bar!  I love chatting away to people too so am in my element in that environment.  Back working in admin for now (the money is quite a bit better than bar work in the uk (unfortunately!).

At least if you decide to do it one day in the future you have a trade, everyone needs their hair cut & if you go somewhere where there are a lot of UK workers you'd be ok...I'm just hoping for a miracle, or a lottery win
