Jupiter Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Emma L  (05 July 2004)

We've just returned after a two week stay at the Jupiter/ We dound it to be an ideal location, within a shott walking distance from beach, bars and restaurants. Rooms on the front will suffer from traffic noise, however, we were on the back where it was quieter.

Rooms are an okay size, basic but clean and well maintained. Excellent repair serivce, our ceiling fan stopped working and was fixed within an hour.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to sray here again.

Koukos - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Food and service is excellent. Go on a Wednesday or Sunday and they have Greek Music and Dancing. We went last Wednesday and it was a fantastic night, the dancers were excellent and not to be missed.

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Emma L

We went to Tsilivi where there are plenty places to book trips, I imagine it to be the same everywhere. We took a half day trip to the Ship Wreck, booked through Dionisos Tours 20e. To be honest the Ship Wreck is not that impressive, however, this trip is worth it just for the scenery. We had a swim stop around the Caves and our boat was small enough to get the front into some of the Caves.

A fantastic bonus was that we saw a Turtle on the way there and back, unusual as they're not normally that far north. We were impressed that they actually stopped the boat so that everyone could take a look.

Word of warning: the stones you have to walk over to get to the lovely sand hurts!! don't attempt it with out shoes!!

Day trip to Olympia - (Zante Excursions)

Emma L

We booked this tour through Dionisos Tours at Tsilivi costing 25 euros (plus another 9 euros for entry to site and museum). The trip itself was organsied by TEZ Tours and we found our coach guide, Kostas, to be very good. Once there an Archaeological guide takes you around museum and site, again our guide was very good and she spoke excellent English and managed to help create some of the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, because of the devastating Earthquake alot of Olympia ruins lay as they fell. Anything standing is only due to the fact that it has been restored.

We really enoyed this trip and the only downside was that you don't get long enough in the museum (plus a 7:15am start), other than that a great day.

Greek Night - (Zante Excursions)

Emma L

We didn't book a Greek Night trip, however, we did go to Koukas restaurant in Tsilivi on a Wednesday night. Here they have music and Greek dancers, it was a fantastic night and a definite highlight of our holiday. The three male dancers were very energetic and good at getting everyone involved, a brilliant night!

Contessina - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Good service and a very nice meal, however, we did have tastier food elsewhere. A good choice for a plesant meal.

We loved the food here and you even had a choice of potatoes of fries, something we loved as wewere fed up of chips coming with every meal!!
The service was relaxed and friendly, we visited twice and really enjoyed both meals and would not hesitate to go again.
