Koukounaria Hotel - (Accommodation in Alykes)

Have booked to stay at Koukounaria apartments in sept 2003. Although I can see from various comments that the majority of people enjoyed their stay, what i would like to know is when people say everything electrical has to be hired what does this include i.e can we take our own hairdryer, kettle, iron etc... and do they really fine you if you choose to use your own electrical things? Also does anyone know if you still have to buy their drinks and snacks at the poolside.

Arrived back on Wednesday after 2 weeks in the sun, had a lovely time the staff were great although anyone with teenage daughters should keep an eye on them, there a couple of young greek lads working/living at the hotel who like holiday romances with the girls! The rooms were a good size and were cleaned everyday, my only complaint is that when there is five of you sharing a room one toilet roll doesnt last very long. The pool was a good size and there is plenty of room to lounge around the pool in the sun. The Rep. well she gave us the wrong time for the welcome meeting, so we missed that. But she made no effort to seek us out to see if everything was ok. We then decided stuff them and we booked our trips through a tour operator in the town. If anyone is thinking of going to the new water village please, please, please dont go, it is a dangerous place to vist (the rides are ok) but the paths that you use to get around the park are always wet and very, very slipery (caused many people to slip) you cant have fun there as you are constantly worrying about safety. I nominate the Relax restaurant for evening meal. The food and service was excellent and a very good place to people watch, my kids enjoyed watching Yannis with his "i'll be back" and "Asta La Vista Babe" very enjoyable. All in All a very good holiday
