Pandesia - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

We ate here once, on our first night on the island. It was recommended to us by our hotel. Apart from the initial welcome we received, which I guess was only to get us into the place, the service was nothing to write home about. The food was fair however nothing special, my brother in law and I had the mixed grill which I felt was greesy, the rest of the group had various dishes ranging from chicken to pasta. Overall the food wasn't bad and it certainly wasn't the worse place we had eaten during our stay. The prices are about the same as you will find about the resort so you look for the service and the atmosphere to give the place an edge. This place didn't have it, not overly friendly although the staff are efficient. My hotel had an arrangement with the Pandesia where guests of the hotel received 10% discount but this wasn't incentive enough for me to go back.

Much better at Artemis just across the road. P.S. Say Hi to Spiros for me, He will give you a fantastic welcome and ensure your visit is enjoyable.

Artemis - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Having read the negative comments made by some of the other guests I can't help wondering what went wrong on their visit. I have used this restaurant many times, somethimes as part of a group and on occassions just as a couple. Each time we have gone the service, quality of the food, the atmosphere and cleanliness were all beyond reproach. I have nothing negative to say about this facility. I found this to be the best place we had tried on the resort and admittedly I haven't used them all but I have used a few and this was the best by far. I found the price to be pretty much the same as you will find around the resort so I tend to look for other things that will give the place an edge, like the quality, service and atmosphere and in my opinion Artemis has that edge, but don't take my word for it go and see for yourselves. I can highly recommend Artemis for a good night out even if you have children, the team will ensure you will have a momorable visit.

PS. Spiros, If your reading this we'll see you next year.

MY wife and I popped in here for lunch on our last day on the island, although we had walked past it most days, we left it until the end. I wished we had gone in sooner, we loved it. The service was flawless and the quality of our lunch was very good. The restaurant airconditioning was going full pelt, which is great when you want to have a relaxing lunch away from the mid day sun. Lunch time when we went was relatively quiet, so it was ideal for that little something special, just the missus and me. Fantastic.
