In our 2 weeks in Zante we visited a number of the better restuarants and taverna's. Most are good or excellent. Chives was the only one that managed to ensure that we spent the best part of the next day in bed, feeling sick. It looked very pleasant from the outside, so we had no qualms about adding it to our list.

The service was slow, the staff un-interested, and the food was lukewarm to cold. The only good thing was the location and the view. We had meatballs, souvlaki and a chicken dish.

On leaving, I went to use the toilets, and have to say that they were absolutely disgusting (I didn't use it).

We would not recommend this restuarant to anyone.

This one got our gold star, not just because the food was good, but also the ambience and the friendly staff. We visited it 6 times during our holiday.

The soups (onion and vegetable) are wonderful, and we didn't have anything that we disliked. The food was always hot, nicely presented and the staff were attentive.

Definitely worth a visit...
